The missionaries' engagement with science and technology in colonial Kenya (1887–1963) is evidentially seen through the use of the post-industrial revolution's breakthroughs of the eighteenth century, which included: advancement in science and mass production, steam engines, and the rise of digital technology. The tendency to rely heavily on post-industrial innovations and inventions were critical in fast-tracking their missiological discourses, which included scriptural translations, publishing, and the use of printing machines. These were critical in generating instructional materials and especially the Bible, which was produced in the local indigenous languages by 1952, and by encouraging technical-science education after primary school, among other methods. Although the concept of science and technology is largely attributed to the scientific breakthroughs of the twenty-first century, we argue that this concept was also evident in both the African indigenous society and in the missionary era. The widespread use of the phrase 'science and technology' is further seen in the missionary enterprises since they founded or supported the establishment of technical schools that offered electrical engineering, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, mechanical engineering, and training in medicine and the establishment of dispensaries and hospitals, among other relevant activities. Methodologically, the research article endeavours to review the European missionary societies, especially the Protestant wing, in its aim to understand their engagement with science and technology, and to determine if there conflict between Western science and the indigenous systems. This article delves into the organization, execution, and significance of industrial practice at Kyiv Polytechnic Institute during the late 1920's and early 1930's, utilizing archival materials and scholarly literature. The article highlights the transition from summer industrial practice, which had inherent organizational issues, to continuous industrial practice, involving a regular alternation of theoretical and industrial training throughout students' tenure at the institute. This approach allocated a significant portion (up to 40--50%) of study time to industrial training directly related to student' specialties, with faculty commissions overseeing its organization. The article acknowledges that some students initially resisted this practice, often citing various reasons for their unwillingness, leading to the institute's efforts to address these challenges. Despite persistent issues, branch institutes stemming from KPI, such as Kyiv Machine-Building, Kyiv Energy, and Kyiv Institute of Chemical Technology, actively participated in the production process. They contributed to the development of industrial training methodologies, program creation, planning, and the selection of experienced instructors. Moreover, the early 1930s saw notable advancements in production training at institutes like Kharkov mechanical engineering and electrical engineering, Dnepropetrovsk mining, and Nikolaev shipbuilding. The article provides insights into the educational landscape, everyday life, and industrial practice at Kyiv Polytechnic Institute during this era, shedding light on vocational training, factories, and student experiences. The article examines the role of scientific theory in German academic technical education by investigating the controversy over the place of mathematics in the curricula of mechanical engineering in the decades around 1900. It mentions professors like Franz Grashof, Reuleaux and Alois Riedler promoted the idea of engineering as an independent discipline. It also mentions independent technical system of higher education, they could proclaim more autonomy than their French colleagues.

Most polytechnic develop their strategy around core competencies, especially regarding how to coordinate skills required in the industry. Adaptive leadership is needed in the lectures in polytechnic. The lecturer's competencies are credited for the success or failure of polytechnic's strategy development. The three types of leaders are as follows: (1) innovator, (2) implement or and (3) pacifier. Based on the example of formative evaluation data collected from the Chinese-German double degree program in mechanical engineering at the Chinese- German Technical Faculty in Qingdao (China), this paper discusses opportunities and challenges of integrating content and language learning as well as ways of optimizing preparatory and academic German language courses. Mechanical vibration is an important field in the education of mechanical engineers. In case of special machines the vibration at demanded amplitude and frequency is condition of operation (for example vibrating screens, compacting machines, vibration transport etc.). In general engineering the main task is the vibration damping. The role of mechanical vibration as professional field was revalued during last decades. There is a fundamental point of view for constructors the reduction of mass. The machine speed increases and in consequence of this the vibration is getting higher and higher. A simple numerical method will be demonstrated by author by the aid of several examples. Some parts of results obtained by using the numerical method were checked by analytical way. The article deals with designing internal artificial lighting as part of the work on the environment, which is subject to certain rules, derived from the nature of lighting. Good lighting exerts an impact on visual comfort - which contributes to overall psychological well-being, and indirectly also to the quality and productivity of performance, to reliability, and to visual performance - and which must be maintained, especially in long-term operations and in adverse conditions, to ensure quality of work and safety. One of the most frequently raised requirements for project design nowadays is speed; therefore a successful project cannot be done without good application software. The result is hundreds of drawings and various other outputs, which, without good software, cannot be handled within a short period of time.
