Paratype: 1female, 2 males, Yunnan, Dali Yunlong Daorenshan, 3.VI.2009, Tan Jiangli, No 202019710, 202019711, 202019712. Description. Female holotype. Body length 8.0 mm, fore wing length 6.0 mm. Head. Antenna with at least 29 flagellomeres (apex missing); first flagellomere ca 1.3× length of second flagellomere. Face granulose (Fig. 6D). Clypeus granulose, convex, apical margin arched, slightly reflexed (Fig. 6D). Malar space weakly granulose, ca 0.5× basal width of mandible. Upper tooth of mandible longer than lower tooth, with a weak lamella. Frons granulose-punctate and without median carina. Vertex granulose (Fig. 6E). Interocellar distance 1.3× ocello-ocular distance and 2.0× distance between median and lateral ocelli; distance between lateral ocelli and eyes equal to diameter of ocellus (Fig. 6E). Temple mat, ca 0.5× as long as eyes in lateral view. Occipital carina evenly arched, reaching hypostomal carina at mandible base. Mesosoma. Pronotum granulose dorsally and transversely striate ventrally. Mesoscutum granulose, granulosepunctate on notaulic area (Fig. 4F). Scutellum granulose. Metanotum granulose-punctate. Mesopleuron rugulose on its upper half, granulose-punctate on lower half, transversely striate below tegula, speculum weakly granulose (Fig. 6B). Metapleuron rugose, rugosity denser on juxtacoxal area (Fig. 6B). Propodeum (Fig. 6C) with area basalis triangular; area superomedia long and narrow, granulose, lateromedian longitudinal carina weak on area superomedia, gradually strong apically; area superomedia confluent with area petiolaris; area petiolaris rugose; area external granulose; area dentipara granulose-punctate; area lateralis granulose; costula developed; lateral longitudinal carina absent; propodeal spiracle oval. Wing. Fore wing (Fig. 6A) areolet absent; portion of vein M between 2rs-m and 2m-cu ca 0.7× as long as 2rs-m. Marginal cell long, vein RS ca 2.3× longer than vein 2r& RS. Vein 1cu-a slightly distad of M& RS. External angles of second discal cell acute (75°). Hind wing with CU&cu-a slightly reclivous, 2-CU not connected with CU&cu-a, not intercepted. Legs. Hind femur 6.0× longer than wide. Inner spur of hind tibia ca 0.6× as long as first tarsomere of hind tarsus. Tarsal claws strongly pectinate. Metasoma. First segment (Fig. 6G) without glymma, ca 4.0× longer than width of postpetiole; petiole ca 2.3× longer than postpetiole. Second tergite ca 0.8× as long as first tergite, 2.1× longer than its apical width; thyridium oval, its distance from basal margin of tergite about equal to its length. Third tergite ca 1.6× longer than its apical width. Ovipositor and ovipositor sheath as long as apical depth of metasoma, with a weak subapical notch on upper valve. Colour. Black. Scape and pedicel blackish brown, yellowish anteriorly; mandible brownish with medial portion yellowish brown; palpi yellow; tegula blackish brown; coxa black except hind coxa with a yellow mark dorsalapically; fore trochanter and trochantellus dorsally brownish, femur ventrally and telotarsus brownish, remainder of fore leg yellowish brown; mid trochanter, trochantellus and femur blackish brown, tibia infuscated basally and apically, yellowish brown medially, tarsus brown except basal tarsi 0.8 yellowish brown; hind leg black except tibia medially slightly blackish brown; first metasomal segment except extreme apically, basal 0.9 of second tergite and third tergite only basally black, remainder of metasoma reddish brown. Distribution. China (Yunnan). Comparison. This new species is similar to G. clara Townes, 1970, but differs from the latter by having the mesopleuron rugulose on its upper half and granulose-punctate on lower half, scape and pedicel blackish brown and yellowish anteriorly, mandible brownish with medial portion yellowish brown, tegula mainly blackish brown, fore and mid coxae black, and hind leg black except tibia medially slightly blackish brown. Etymology. Name derived from mauros (Greek for black) and kneme (Greek for leg), because of the almost entirely black hind leg.

Body length 5.2 mm, fore wing length 3.6 mm. Head. Antenna with 29 flagellomeres; first flagellomere ca. 1.4× longer than wide. Face (Fig. 2E) granulose. Clypeus (Fig. 2E) granulose with small punctures, apical margin of clypeus widely arched, blunt. Malar space granulose, ca. 0.5× basal width of mandible. Upper tooth of mandible slightly larger than lower tooth, with a lamella. Frons (Fig. 2E) granulose and without median carina. Vertex (Fig. 2F) granulose. Interocellar region (Fig. 2F) granulose. Interocellar distance 1.5× ocello-ocular distance and 2.2× distance between median and lateral ocelli; distance between lateral ocelli and eyes ca. 1.0 × as long as diameter of ocellus. Temple mat, ca. 0.5× as long as eyes in lateral view. Occipital carina evenly arched, reaching hypostomal carina before mandible base. Mesosoma. First tarsal segment without ventral row of setae medially. Tarsal claws weakly pectinate basally. Metasoma. First metasomal segment (Fig. 2H) with glymma located at basal 0.3. First tergite 2.3× longer than width of postpetiole. Postpetiole granulose. Second tergite 0.6× as long as first tergite, 0.8× its apical width; thyridium circular and close to base of second tergite. Third tergite 0.6× longer than its apical width. Sixth and seventh tergites without medial emargination. Ovipositor (Fig. 2D) straight, ca. 2.0× longer than apical depth of metasoma, with a nodus before apical notch. Colour. Black. Mandible except teeth and tegula, yellow, scape and pedicel brown; fore and mid coxae apically, trochanters and trochantelli pale whitish, remainder of fore leg yellowish brown with tarsomeres darker; hind coxa black, femur yellowish brown, tibia medially pale yellow, tibia basally and apically infuscated, tarsomere blackish brown; metasoma wholly black. Comparison. This species is similar to D. pedella (Holmgren, 1860), but differs from the latter by having a nodus before apical notch of ovipositor, propodeal costula absent and hind tibia infuscated basally and apically. Etymology. Name derived from “granosus” (Latin for “granular”), because of its largely granulose body sculpture.

Body length 3.1 mm, fore wing length 2.6 mm. Head. Antenna with at least 15 flagellomeres (apical part missing); first flagellomere ca. 3.2× longer than its wide. Face (Fig. 10F) granulose. Clypeus (Fig. 10F) granulose, apical margin of clypeus slightly arched. Malar space granulose, ca. 0.8× basal width of mandible. Upper tooth of mandible slightly longer than lower tooth, without lamella. Frons (Fig. 10F) granulose and without median carina. Vertex (Fig. 10G) granulose. Interocellar region (Fig. 10G) granulose. Interocellar distance 1.0× ocello-ocular distance and 1.7× distance between median and lateral ocelli; distance between lateral ocelli and eyes ca. 1.4 × longer than diameter of ocellus. Comparison. This species differs distinctly from the only other known species of this genus P. enchophorus as shown in the key above. Etymology. Antenna with 38 flagellomeres; first flagellomere 1.5× longer than second flagellomere. Face strongly rugose. Clypeus rugose-punctate, slightly convex, apical margin curved. Malar space granulose, 0.6× basal width of mandible. Mandible with lamella. Frons rugose, with a median carina. Vertex granulose. Interocellar distance twice ocello-ocular distance and 1.6× distance between median and lateral ocelli. Temple granulose, mat. Occipital carina evenly arched. Mesosoma. Pronotum rugose-punctate above, trans-striate below. Mesoscutum rugose-punctate, rugosities weak medially. Scutellum rugose-punctate. Metanotum rugose-punctate. Second tergite 0.7× as long as first tergite; thyridium elongate oval, its distance from basal margin of tergite ca 3.5× its length; metasoma from third to seventh tergites strongly compressed. Ovipositor 1.1× longer than hind femur, straight. Colour. Black. Scape and pedicel, mandible, tegulae black; palpi brown. Fore leg with coxa, trochanter, trochantellus, inner side of basal 0.3 of femur and apical tarsus, blackish brown, remainder of fore leg yellowish brown. Mid leg with coxa, trochanter, trochantellus, basal 0.7 of femur and tarsus, blackish brown, remainder of mid leg yellowish brown. Hind leg entirely black. First metasomal segment with sternum blackish brown, tergite yellowish brown; dorsal surface of second segment black and its lateral surface yellowish brown; third tergite yellowish brown with a black mark antero-dorsally; fourth segment yellowish brown; remainder of metasoma blackish brown. Male. Malar space sculpture coarser, tending to be rugose-punctate, about equal to the length of basal width of mandible. Thyridium larger, its distance from basal margin of tergite ca 3.0× its length. Otherwise same as the female. Male genitalia. Parameres broad, not rod-like. Distribution. China (Liaoning). Comparative diagnosis. This species runs in the key by Maheshwary & Gupta (1971) to C. ganges Cushman, 1927, but the new species differs from latter by having interocellar distance twice ocello-ocular distance (4.0–4.7× in C. ganges), malar space granulose and 0.6× basal width of mandible (malar space rugose and 0.37–0.46× basal width of mandible in C. ganges), mesopleuron granulose-punctate (rugoso-reticulate in C. ganges), juxta-coxal area finely rugose (with a few striations in C. ganges), mandible black (mandible yellow except teeth in C. ganges), palpi brown (black in C. ganges) and hind leg entirely black (hind leg not entirely black in C. ganges). Male. Essentially same to female. Male genitalia. Parameres narrow, rod-like. Host. Cania bilineata (Walker, 1855). Distribution. China (Yunnan). Comparative diagnosis. This species runs in the key by He et al. (1996) to S. exareoletus, He, 1980, but the new species differs from latter by having mesopleuron punctate ventrally (rugose-reticulate in S. exareoletus), hind tarsal claw strongly curved apically (weakly curved in S. exareoletus), scape and pedicel blackish brown (yellowish brown in S. exareoletus), and hind femur blackish brown (yellowish brown in S. exareoletus). Etymology. Name derived from the name of type locality of species.

Genus Picacharops Gauld, 1984 Type species: Picacharops brevithorax Gauld, 1984 (by monotypy and original designation). Diagnosis. Small species; body short and stout; clypeus weakly convex; mandible with a strong lamella and upper tooth as long as lower tooth or slightly longer; eye weakly indented opposite antennal socket; occipital carina reaching hypostomal carina at base of mandible; propodeum abruptly declivous; propodeal area superomedia confluent with area petiolaris, slightly concave; hind tarsal segments without row of ventral setae medially; fore wing with 1cu-a vein strongly oblique, making an angle of 55° with AA vein; areolet present, small rhombic shape, with a moderate stalk; hind wing with distal abscissa of CU vestigial, CU&cu-a not intercepted; first metasomal segment with glymma absent; metasoma rather short, tergite 3 with laterotergite separated by a crease; ovipositor very short and its sheath widened, straight, with a distinct dorsal subapical notch, not projecting beyond apex of metasoma (Fig. 1). Remarks. Prior to this study, the genus Picacharops was only known from the Australasian realm. Holotype female (Fig. 1). Body length 4.7 mm, fore wing length 3.7 mm. Head. Antenna with 26 flagellomeres; first flagellomere 1.3× longer than second flagellomere. Face (Fig. 2E) granulose. Clypeus (Fig. 2E) granulose, weakly convex in lateral view, apical margin slightly arched, sharp. Malar space granulose, its length 0.3× basal width of mandible. Mandible with a strong lamella, upper tooth slightly longer than lower tooth. Frons granulose, median carina absent. Vertex granulose. Inner margin of eye slightly indented opposite antennal socket. Eyes convergent downward. Interocellar distance (Fig. 2F) 1.2× ocello-ocular distance and 2.2× distance between median and lateral ocelli. Temple granulose, not swollen behind eyes. Occipital carina evenly arched, reaching hypostomal carina at mandible base. Mesosoma. Pronotum granulose dorsally, transversely striate ventrally. Mesoscutum (Fig. 2G), scutellum and metanotum granulose. Mesopleuron (Fig. 2B) granulose, weakly transversely striate below tegula. Metapleuron (Fig. 2B) granulose. Propodeum (Fig. 2C) with area basalis triangular; area superomedia confluent with area petiolaris, slightly concave, granulose; area externa and area dentipara granulose; lateral longitudinal carina absent; lateromedian longitudinal carina and anterior transverse carina distinctly developed; propodeal spiracle nearly round. Wing. Fore wing (Fig. 2A) areolet present emitting vein 2m-cu from its apical half, with a moderate stalk. Marginal cell short, distal part of surrounding vein 2.4× longer than proximal one. Vein 1cu-a opposite M&RS, 1cu-a strongly oblique, angle with vein AA 55°. External angles of second discal cell acute (70°). Hind wing with CU&cu-a inclivous, not intercepted. Legs. Hind femur 4.3× longer than wide. First tarsal segment without ventral row of setae medially. Tarsal claws short, weakly pectinate basally. Metasoma. First metasomal segment (Fig. 2D) without glymma. First tergite 2.6× longer than width of postpetiole. Postpetiole granulose. Second tergite 0.6× as long as first tergite, slightly shorter than its apical width; thyridium circular, its distance from basal margin of tergite 0.8× its diameter. Metasoma from second tergite largely granulose and mat. Third tergite 0.6× longer than its apical width. Sixth and seventh tergites without medial emargination. Ovipositor (Fig. 2H) short and straight, with a distinct dorsal subapical notch, not projecting beyond apex of metasoma. Colour. Black. Mandible except teeth, scape and pedicel, palpi, tegula, fore and mid legs, hind trochanter, trochantellus, medially of tibia, yellowish brown; hind coxa and femur, blackish-brown; hind tibia basally and apically, infuscated; metasoma blackish brown with apical 0.3 of second segment yellowish brown. Distribution. China (Guizhou). Notes. The distribution of the two known species of Picacharops is widely disjunct, China and Australia, so until further specimens are able to be examined, we have placed this new species in this Picacharop because the new species matches the generic characters well. This new species, however, differs distinctly from the only other known species of this genus, P. brevithorax, as shown in the key above. Etymology. Wing. Fore wing areolet absent; portion of vein M between 2rs-m and 2m-cu ca. 0.8× as long as 2rs-m. Marginal cell short, vein RS ca 2.3× longer than vein 2r&RS. Vein 1cu-a slightly distad of M&RS. External angles of second discal cell acute (65°). Hind wing with CU&cu-a inclivous, 2-CU connected with CU&cu-a, intercepted at lower 0.2 of its length. Legs. Hind femur 4.7× longer than wide. Inner spur of hind tibia ca 0.6× as long as first tarsomere of hind tarsus. Tarsal claws pectinate basally (Fig. 2J). Metasoma. First segment with dorso-lateral carinae, ca 2.8× longer than width of postpetiole; petiole ca 2.2× longer than postpetiole. Second tergite ca 0.7× as long as first tergite, as long as its apical width; thyridium oval, its distance from basal margin of tergite about equal to its length. Third tergite ca 0.8× as long as its apical width. Ovipositor a little shorter than apical depth of metasoma, with a weak subapical notch on upper valve (Fig. 2E); setose part of ovipositor sheath 0.4× as long as hind tibia. Colour. Black. Scape and pedicel black; mandible yellow except teeth reddish brown; palpi and tegula yellow; fore and mid legs from apical half of coxae on yellowish brown; basal half of fore and mid coxae blackish brown; hind coxa, trochanter and trochantellus black, femur and tibia yellowish brown with base and apex of tibia more or less infuscated, basal 0.9 of tarsi yellowish brown and remainder infuscated; metasoma entirely blackish. Variation. Propodeal costula varies from weak to strong; area superomedial slightly longer than wide to slightly wider than long; specimen from Xizang province has area petiolaris stronger rugulose than in the Sichuan specimens. Distribution. China (Sichuan, Xizang). Comparison. This species differs distinctly from the only other known species of this genus, B. laticlypeata as shown in the key above. DNA Barcoding: The COI sequence iss deposited in GenBank (accession number MZ647963). Etymology. Name derived from apex (Latin for tip) and crinis (Greek for hair), because its metasoma is densely setose apically.

Sliochia adustifemur sp. nov. Figs 3–4 Material examined. Holotype: female, Guizhou, Leishanxian Leishanxiang Natural Reserve, 2.VI.2005, Liu Jingxian, No 202019697 (ZJUH). Description. Holotype female (Fig. 3). Body length 4.5 mm, fore wing length 3.4 mm. Head. Antenna with 25 flagellomeres; first flagellomere 1.2× longer than second flagellomere. Face (Fig. 4F) granulose. Clypeus (Fig. 4F) granulose, not convex in lateral view, apical margin slightly arched, sharp. Malar space granulose, its length 0.5× basal width of mandible. Mandible with a weak lamella, upper tooth slightly longer than lower tooth. Frons granulose, median carina absent. Vertex granulose. Inner margin of eye not indented opposite antennal socket. Interocellar distance (Fig. 4G) 1.1× ocello-ocular distance and 1.5× distance between median and lateral ocelli. Temple granulose, mat, not swollen behind eyes. Occipital carina evenly arched, reaching hypostomal carina above mandible base. Mesosoma. Pronotum granulose-rugulose dorsally, mat, transversely striate below. Mesoscutum (Fig. 4H) granulose, rugose on notaulic area. Scutellum and metanotum granulose. Mesopleuron (Fig. 4B) granulose, weakly transversely striate below tegula. Metapleuron granulose. Propodeum (Fig. 4C) with area basalis trapozoid; area superomedia confluent with area petiolaris, slightly depressed; area superomedia granulose-rugulose; area petiolaris rugose; area externa and area dentipara granulose; all carinae distinctly developed. Wing. Fore wing (Fig. 4A) areolet absent, length of vein M between 2rs-m and 2m-cu approx. 0.4× vein 2rs-m. Marginal cell short, distal part of surrounding vein 2.3× longer than proximal one. Vein 1cu-a opposite vein M&RS, vein 1cu-a strongly oblique and angle with vein AA (60°). External angles of second discal cell nearly straight (80°). Hind wing with vein CU&cu-a nearly vertical, not intercepted. Legs. Hind femur 3.8× longer than wide. Inner spur of hind tibia 0.7× as long as first tarsomere of hind tarsus. First tarsal segment with ventral row of setae medially (Fig. 4E). Tarsal claws weakly pectinate basally. Metasoma. (Fig. 4J) First metasomal segment (Fig. 4D) without glymma. First tergite 2.6× longer than width of postpetiole. Postpetiole granulose. Second tergite granulose-rugulose basally, smooth and shiny apically, 0.6× as long as first tergite, 0.8× longer than its apical width; thyridium transverse oval, its distance from basal margin of tergite 0.5× its length. Third tergite 0.8× longer than its apical width. Sixth and seventh tergites without medial emargination. From third tergite on smooth and shiny. Ovipositor (Fig. 4I) straight, with a nodus before an inconspicuous dorsal subapical notch. Colour. Black. Mandible except teeth, scape and pedicel, palpi, tegula, fore and mid legs, hind coxa, trochanter, trochantellus and tibia basal 0.5, yellowish brown; hind femur and tibia apical 0.5, brown; hind tarsal segments blackish brown; metasoma from third segment on laterally yellowish brown, remainder of metasoma blackish. Distribution. China (Guizhou). Notes. We have placed this new species in Sliochia because the new species matches the generic characters well. The new species differs distinctly from the only other known species of this genus, S. bala as shown in the key above. Etymology. Genus Breviterebra Kusigemati, 1982 Type species: Breviterebra laticlypeata Kusigemati, 1982 (by monotypy and original designation). Diagnosis. Body short and stout; inner margins of eyes weakly convergent ventrally and weakly indented opposite antennal sockets; face separated from clypeus by a weak groove; clypeus convex, its apical margin blunt, truncated, slightly concave medially; mandible medium-sized, with a narrow lamella on lower margin, lower tooth a little shorter than upper tooth; temple not swollen; occipital carina reaching hypostomal carina at mandible base; mesopleuron with densely medium-sized punctures; propodeum areolated, area superomedial hexagonal, separated from area petiolaris by a distinct carina; area petiolaris flat; propodeal spiracle oval; fore wing areolet absent, portion of vein M between 2rs-m and 2m-cu ca. 0.8× as long as 2rs-m, vein 1cu-a slightly distad of M&RS; hind wing vein CU&cu-a inclivous, intercepted at its lower half, 2-CU reaching CU&cu-a, unpigmented. Legs with tarsal claws moderately long, weakly pectinate basally; hind basitarsus without a midventral row of closely spaced setae; first metasomal segment with spiracles situated at apical 0.3, sternite ends before spiracle, glymma large; ovipositor short, about as long as apical depth of metasoma. Remarks. Kusigemati (1982) described fore wing vein 1cu-a distad of M&RS by ca 0.3 × its own length, but checking carefully his figure 4 we find 1cu-a is only slightly distad of M&RS. Etymology. Name derived from “par” (Greek for “near”), and the specific name “assosae”, because this new species is similar to C. assosae.

This species runs in the key by Maheshwary & Gupta (1977) to C. homonae Gupta & Maheshwary, 1977, but differs from the latter by having face and clypeus rugose-punctate, pronotum rugulosepunctate dorsally, prepectal carina without a notch-like constriction, areolet relatively large and higher than stalk, and mandible yellowish brown medially. Etymology. Name derived from the name of type locality of species.

The surface of body shinier than in female; propodeal carina stronger than in female; otherwise quite similar to female. Distribution. China (Gansu, Hebei, Shaanxi). Comparative diagnosis. This species runs in the key by Maheshwary & Gupta (1977) to C. kalatopensis Gupta & Maheshwary, 1977, but differs from the latter by having malar space 0.5× basal width of mandible, mesopleuron granulose-punctate and with punctures dense, area petiolaris coarsely rugose, and fore and mid trochanters blackish brown. Etymology. Name derived from “mauros” (Latin for “dark”) and “trochanter” (Latin for “trochanter”), because all its trochanters are black.

This species is similar to C. assosae Kittel, 2016, but differs from the latter by having interocellar distance 1.2× ocello-ocular distance, propodeal area basalis confluent with area superomedia, area petiolaris granulose-rugulose, hind wing with nervellus slightly inclivous, fore and mid legs coxa whitish yellow, and hind trochanter blackish brown. Etymology. Name derived from “confluus” (Latin for “confluent”), because its propodeal area basalis, area superomedia area and area petiolaris are confluent.

Etymology. Name derived from “strigis” (Latin for “groove”), because its propodeum has a deep groove medially.

Body length 4.8 mm, fore wing length 3.2 mm. Head. Antenna with at least 18 flagellomeres (apical segments missing); first flagellomere 1.2× longer than second flagellomere. Face (Fig. 80D) granulose, weak laterally. Clypeus (Fig. 80D) granulose, almost truncated apically. Malar space mat, 0.7× basal width of mandible. Mandible with a weak lamella, upper tooth equal to the length of lower tooth. Frons granulose-punctate, median carina present. Vertex granulose. Interocellar distance (Fig. 80E) 1.0× ocello-ocular distance and 1.4× distance between median and lateral ocelli. Temple nearly smooth, subpolished, not swollen behind eyes. Occipital carina evenly arched, reaching hypostomal carina above mandible base. Mesosoma. Pronotum granulose dorsally, subpolished, trans-striate below. Mesoscutum (Fig. 80F) granulose, becoming rugose in notaulic area. Scutellum granulose, becoming rugose posteriorly. Metanotum granulose. Mesopleuron (Fig. 80B) granulose with sparse punctures, trans-striate below tegula, speculum smooth and shiny. Metapleuron (Fig. 80B) granulose. Propodeum (Fig. 80C) with area basalis trapezoid; area superomedia granulose, subpolished; area petiolaris rugose; area superomedia confluent with area petiolaris, not depressed medially; median carina weakly developed under costula, becoming stronger posteriorly; latero-longitudinal carina absent; propodeal spiracle small and round. Wing. Fore wing (Fig. 80A) areolet present and with a short stalk emitting 2m-cu vein from its apical part. Marginal cell short, distal part of surrounding vein 1.7× longer than proximal one. Vein 1cu-a opposite M&RS. External angles of second discal cell acute (60°). Hind wing with nervellus slightly inclivous, intercepted at lower 0.3. Legs. Hind femur 4.2× longer than wide. Inner spur of hind tibia 0.5× as long as first tarsomere of hind tarsus. Tarsal claws nearly not pectinate, teeth very weak basally. Metasoma. First metasomal segment (Fig. 80G) round in cross-section of basal 0.3, without dorso-lateral carina and lateral groove. First tergite 3.3× longer than width of postpetiole. Second tergite as long as first tergite, 2.0× longer than its apical width; thyridium oval, its distance from basal margin of tergite 3.0× its diameter. Third tergite 1.4× longer than its apical width. Sixth and seventh tergites without emarginations medially. Ovipositor sheath approx. 1.4× longer than hind femur, ovipositor gradually upcurved. Colour. Black. Mandible except teeth, palpi and tegula yellowish brown; scape and pedicel blackish brown; fore and mid legs with trochanters, trochantellus and coxae apically yellow, coxae basally and apical tarsus brown, remainder of fore and mid legs yellowish brown; hind leg with coxa blackish brown, trochanter, trochantellus, tibia subbasally and apically infuscated, tarsus brown, remainder of hind leg yellowish brown; metasoma from third tergite on laterally yellowish brown, remainder of metasoma black. Distribution. China (Shaanxi). Comparative diagnosis. This species runs in the key by Maheshwary & Gupta (1977) to C. manaliensis Gupta & Maheshwary, 1977, but differs from the latter by having face granulose, interocellar distance equal to ocello-ocular distance, area petiolaris rugose, and scape and pedicel blackish brown. Etymology. This species is named in honour of Prof. Jiangli Tan, the collector of the holotype.

Clypeus (Fig. 54E) granulose dorsally, smooth and shiny below, slightly convex, apical margin blunt, slightly arched. Malar space shiny, 0.4�� basal width of mandible. Mandible with a weak lamella, upper tooth equal to the length of lower tooth. Frons granulose, median carina absent. Vertex granulose. Interocellar distance (Fig. 54F) 0.8�� ocello-ocular distance and 1.4�� distance between median and lateral ocelli. Temple granulose, subpolished, not swollen behind eyes. Occipital carina evenly arched, reaching hypostomal carina above mandible base. Mesosoma. Pronotum granulose dorsally, polished, trans-striate below. Mesoscutum (Fig. 54G) granulose. Interocellar distance (Fig. 26F) 1.75�� ocello-ocular distance and 2.3�� distance between median and lateral ocelli. Temple granulose, mat. S. bazariae: antenna with 29 flagellomeres, notaulic region of mesoscutum not rugose, hind femur 4.2× longer than wide, tarsal claw not pectinate, first metasomal segment ca 2.1× length of width of postpetiole, second tergite 1.1× longer than its apical width, ovipositor sheath ca 0.8× as long as hind femur, ca 1.0× as long as first metasomal segment, and ca 0.6× as long as hind tibia, and hind femur brownish black externally and dark red internally. Comparison. This species is similar to S. pleuralis (Thomson, 1887), but differs from the latter by having upper tooth of mandible as long as lower tooth, temple ca 0.5× as long as eyes in lateral view, interspaces of punctures of lower half of mesopleuron 1.0–1.5× diameter of punctures, propodeal median area weakly excavated, and hind tibia basally and medially whitish yellow. S. pleuralis: upper tooth of mandible longer than lower tooth, temple 1.1–1.3× longer than eyes in lateral view, interspaces of punctures of lower half of mesopleuron at most equal to diameter of punctures, propodeal median area moderately to strongly excavated, and hind tibia ferruginous interno-medially and white externo-medially. Etymology. Name derived from the name of the province where the type of the species has been collected.

Paratype: CHINA • 1♀; Neimenggu, Baotou Wudangzhao; 21.VIII.2000; Yun-Ma leg.; No. 200100558. Description. Body length 8.0 mm, fore wing length 6.0 mm. Head. Antenna with 35 flagellomeres; first flagellomere ca 1.3× length of second flagellomere. Face punctate, interspaces of punctures equal to diameter of punctures. Clypeus punctate, interspaces of punctures equal to diameter of punctures dorsally and ca 1.5× diameter ventrally, slightly convex, apical margin slightly curved. Malar space weakly granulose, ca 0.5× basal width of mandible. Upper tooth of mandible slightly longer than lower tooth, with a very weak lamella. Frons granulose-rugulose, shiny and smooth ventrally, median carina developed. Vertex granulose. Interocellar distance 1.8× ocello-ocular distance and 2.0× distance between median and lateral ocelli. Temple mat, ca 0.6× as long as eyes in lateral view. Occipital carina evenly arched, reaching hypostomal carina above mandible base. Mesosoma. Pronotum rugulose-punctate dorsally, transversely striate laterally. Mesoscutum granulose-punctate. Scutellum punctate, rugose posteriorly. Metanotum rugose-punctate. Mesopleuron punctate, transversely striate below tegula, speculum smooth and shiny, rugose above episternal scrobe, lower half of mesopleuron with punctures separated by distance 1.0–1.5× their diameter. Metapleuron punctate, interspaces of punctures equal to diameter of punctures or slightly larger. Propodeum with area basalis rectangular; anterior transverse carina close to base; area superomedia combined with area petiolaris; area superomedia smooth and shiny, ca 0.8× as long as width of area petiolaris; area petiolaris transversely rugose; area externa granulose with sparse punctures; area dentipara rugulose; area lateralis nearly smooth with shallow punctures; costula developed; lateromedian longitudinal carina developed; lateral longitudinal carina weakly developed; propodeal spiracle oval, connected with pleural carina by a distinct carina. Wing. Fore wing areolet present and with a short stalk emitting 2m-cu vein slightly behind middle. Marginal cell short, RS vein ca 1.8× longer than 2r&RS vein. Vein 1cu-a opposite of M&RS. External angles of second discal cell acute (70°). Hind wing with CU&cu-a reclivous, 2-Cu not connected to CU&cu-a, Cu&cu-a not intercepted. Legs. Hind femur 4.4× longer than wide. Inner spur of hind tibia ca 0.5× as long as first tarsomere of hind tarsus. Tarsal claws strongly pectinate, hind tarsal claw with 2 slanting teeth basally, ca 1.6× longer than arolium. Metasoma. Surface somewhat coriaceous. First metasomal segment with dorso-lateral carina and lateral groove, suture separating first metasomal tergite from sternite ca 0.2 below mid height of petiole. First metasomal segment ca 2.2× length of width of postpetiole; petiole ca 1.6× longer than postpetiole. Second tergite ca 0.7× as long as first tergite, 1.4× longer than its apical width; thyridium oval, its distance from basal margin of tergite ca 0.5× its length. Third tergite as long as its apical width. Ovipositor sheath ca 1.7× longer than hind femur, ca 2.1× longer than first metasomal segment, and ca as long as hind tibia. Ovipositor slightly upcurved, with depth at mid-length equal to width of hind first tarsomere, tip of upper valve of ovipositor ca 1.5× longer than hind telotarsus. Colour. Black. Mandible medially and palpi, yellowish brown; tegula yellow; scape and pedicel blackish brown; fore leg yellowish brown except coxa and telotarsus brown; mid leg yellowish brown except coxa and each tarsomere apically brown; hind coxa black, trochanter and trochantellus brown, hind femur yellowish brown except apically infuscated, hind tibia whitish yellow basally and medially, first tarsomere 0.5, second tarsomere 0.2, third tarsomere 0.1 whitish yellow, remainder of hind leg brown; metasoma entirely black. Variation. Metanotum granulose-mat to rugose-punctate; propodeal area dentipara rugulose to rugulose-punctate; fore wing vein 1cu-a opposite of to slightly distad of M&RS. Comparison. This species runs in the key by Sanborne (1984) to S. exartemae (Uchida, 1928), but differs from the latter by having propodeal lateral longitudinal carina weakly developed, propodeal area superomedia rugulose, hind tarsal claw with 2 slanting teeth, ovipositor slightly upcurved. S. exartemae: propodeal lateral longitudinal carina moderately to strongly developed, propodeal area superomedia distinctly rugose and often with several distinct punctures, hind tarsal claw with 5–6 strong perpendicular teeth, ovipositor strongly upcurved. Etymology. Name derived from “latus” (Latin for “wide”) and “strigis” (Latin for “furrow, channel, groove”), because the median area of the propodeum is widely excavated.
