This paper sets out to investigate the alignment between the logistics architecture and resources across China's nine logistics regions, while also examining the individual advantages these regions possess. With the goal of establishing an evaluative framework for sustainable logistics development, the research introduces the principle of logistics equilibrium to augment traditional evaluation metrics, thus forming an assessment index system designed to quantify the congruence between logistics architecture and resources.Utilizing a democratic evaluation approach that emphasizes individual regional advantages, and leveraging empirical data from the decade spanning 2011 to 2020, this paper reveals a general upward trajectory in the matching level of logistics resources to architecture albeit with notable regional disparities. It is observed that while certain areas have made significant strides, others lag, underscoring the varied pace of development among different logistics regions.The research also brings to light the distinct advantage characteristics that emerge as each region evolves, suggesting that these attributes can be harnessed to foster a more environmentally conscious and forward-thinking approach to logistics. By implementing a democratic evaluation to rank these regions, this paper aims to identify exemplars that are not only recognized for their achievements but also serve as models for the formulation of green and sustainable logistics strategies tailored to each region's specific needs and potential. Container Houses (CHs), leveraging shipping containers as their fundamental structural components, are increasingly popular for various compelling reasons. This innovative architectural solution, initially offering a more cost-effective alternative to traditional constructions, especially when employing recycled containers, has been enthusiastically embraced worldwide for its ability to provide quick, affordable, and environmentally friendly housing. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the energy efficiency of shipping container homes across various European locations, focusing on their adaptability in different climatic conditions. This study stands out by conducting a comprehensive analysis of the energy efficiency of different container house configurations in thirty distinct European locations. The novel aspect of this research lies in its detailed exploration of how climatic factors, geometric variations, and solar radiation exposure distinctively affect these homes, especially in the context of temporary housing. Moreover, the development of empirical correlations to calculate the thermal loads necessary for these innovative housing solutions represents a significant contribution to the design and planning of efficient and effective housing in diverse environmental settings. Utilizing Heating Degree Days (HDD) and Cooling Degree Days (CDD) concepts, the study delves into the exploration of climatic zones, integrating HDD, CDD, and solar irradiance data for a clearer view of climatic adaptability. The research employs dynamic simulations performed with the TRNSYS software, utilizing specific hourly climatic data for each location. Different CDD calculation methodologies are proposed and evaluated, establishing a baseline temperature for comfort and examining the thermal loads for various climatic contexts and geometric configurations of container houses. The findings reveal a significant correlation between climatic classification and the specific energy needs of container houses, emphasizing the impact of regional climatic characteristics on energy efficiency, particularly in small-sized dwellings like container houses. The analysis indicates the critical importance of conscious design and adaptation to local climatic contexts to ensure maximum energy efficiency. The proposed climate characterization model based on HDD, CDD, and solar irradiance finds an effective correlation with the Köppen-Geiger classification, especially in extreme climates, offering a new perspective for urban planning and housing design. Sustainable multi-story building designs are gaining increasing attention in light of the green development of the building industry. Recently, many studies have been conducted to determine the optimized embodied energy considering size of structural members and materials strength using a single objective function. In this context, the current study adopted a multi-objective function based on cost and Embodied Energy (EE) for the sustainable design of the entire multi-story building. A BuildingEnergy computer program is used to assess the energy consumption performance of a multi-story reinforcement cement concrete building. Based on the proposed method, an analysis is carried out to compare the optimal solutions for multi-story building. Furthermore, a detailed parametric study was conducted to explore the main factors for energy-efficient column and beam design. The results revealed that with a comparison of the most "carbon-friendly" and "cost-friendly" solutions, an added cost of 6–7% can contribute up to a 13% emission reduction. The sectional dimensions, steel rebar, concrete strengths, cost ratio, building height, and eccentricity remarkably influence sustainable design, cost optimization, and minimum carbon emission. Overall, this study could help to define cost-effective and energy-efficient structural members. With the intensifying global energy crisis and environmental issues, the energy consumption and environmental impact of the construction sector have garnered significant attention. The development and application of green building materials have become crucial research areas. Traditional building materials cause substantial resource waste and environmental pollution during production, usage, and disposal. In contrast, green building materials based on thermodynamic principles, owing to their superior thermal performance and energy storage capabilities, have gradually gained attention. This paper aims to systematically optimize the thermal performance of green building materials through a research approach grounded in thermodynamic principles. The study consists of two main parts: first, constructing the control equations for the phase change thermal storage process of green building materials, and analyzing the thermodynamic characteristics during the phase change process in detail; second, conducting an in-depth analysis of the heat transfer process in phase change thermal storage green building materials to explore their thermal performance in practical applications. Despite extensive research on the thermal performance of green building materials, there are still shortcomings in the systematic analysis and optimization of material thermal performance, and existing research methods often fail to comprehensively and accurately reflect the actual thermal behavior of materials. Sustainable performance management stands as a critical aspect for businesses grappling with the multifaceted challenges of social, economic, and environmental concerns. Its importance has surged as companies endeavor to harmonize their operational strategies with sustainable development goals. However, it is notable that the current body of research overlooks the intricacies at the micro-level and the dynamic roles played by individual employees. Furthermore, there remains a notable gap in exploring the intricacies of causality and the mechanisms driving the relationships between sustainable practices and performance outcomes. This study conducted a bibliometric study dissecting the existing corpus of literature on sustainable performance management, to unveil prevalent trends, key contributors, influential journals, and emerging research themes. Through this rigorous exploration, seven distinct thematic clusters have emerged which reflect the interrelationships between various aspects of sustainable performance management, encompassing economic, environmental, social, and technological dimensions. Finally, this study offers valuable suggestions for future research endeavors aimed at enhancing the holistic comprehension of sustainable business practices, shaping organizational performance, and advancing global goals of sustainability. Skyrise greenery, including green roofs and vertical gardens, has emerged as an indispensable tool for sustainable urban planning with multiple ecological and economic benefits. A bibliometric analysis was used to provide a systematic review of the functions associated with skyrise greenery in urban landscapes. Key research tools, including the "Bibliometrix" R package and "CiteSpace" 6.2 R4, highlight the depth and breadth of the literature covering skyrise greenery. In 2000–2022, a total of 1474 original journal articles were retrieved. Over this period, there was an exponential increase in the number of publications, reflecting both enhanced knowledge and increasing concerns regarding climate change, the urban heat island, and urbanization. Of the total, ~58% of the articles originated from China, followed by the USA, Italy, Australia, and Canada. The research themes, such as urban heat islands, carbon sequestration, hydrology, and air quality, have been identified as the frontier in this fields. Furthermore, researchers from developed countries contributed the most publications to this domain, while developing countries, such as China, play an increasing role in the design and performance evaluation of vertical greenery. Key benefits identified in vertical green systems (e.g., green roofs and walls) include thermal regulation, sustainable water management, air-quality improvement, noise reduction, and biodiversity enhancement. In addition, several potential future research prospectives are highlighted. This review provides a comprehensive insight into exploring the pivotal role of skyrise greenery in shaping sustainable, resilient urban futures, coupled with sustainable urban planning. The unprecedented development of artificial intelligence (AI) makes it possible for computers to imitate and surpass human intelligence (HI). Hybrid intelligence is the result of the co-evolution of AI and HI and has huge application potential in promoting the sustainable development of human society. This study starts from the similarities and differences between biological neural networks and artificial neural networks, compares the cognitive foundations of human intelligence and artificial intelligence, highlights the difference and connection between AI and HI, and puts forward the necessity and inevitability of their co-evolution to achieve hybrid intelligence with complementary advantages. Hybrid intelligence stands to become the pivotal force driving purposeful and planned sustainable creative behavior in the artificial intelligence era. This study proposes a design cognitive creation model based on human–computer collaboration that considers computational design thinking as the central concept. Moreover, the paradigm shift of design under hybrid intelligence intervention are explored from five aspects: "tool evolution", "response mode", "output result", "iterative optimization" and "system innovation". Finally, this article constructs a creative intervention mechanism of design creation driven by hybrid intelligence and discusses its role playing in the design activities of sustainable multiverse construction in the future. The proposal of the multiverse model transcends the confines of the metaverse's virtual worldview and embraces sustainable development for value guidance. It advocates a future trajectory for humanity that hinges on technological progress, fostering a prosperous, balanced, and harmonious coexistence between the natureverse, socialverse, and digitalverse. Many world issues are faced and then become challenges of the 21st century. This study aims to define these challenges and how to overcome them as alternative solutions in architecture, with the context of sustainable architecture from an Islamic perspective. The methods used are literature review and logical argumentation. The results show that the challenges of the 21st century in the context of sustainable architecture include fundamental issues, namely nature conservation, related to humanity and technology as specific objectives, and several other objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals. Challenges can be faced by integrating the handling of each aspect, focusing on humans. In the view of Islam, integrated solutions are carried out within the spirituality framework, where humans act as caliphs. Transportation activities have witnessed a significant increase in recent years, with industrial evolution directly impacting the pillars of sustainable development. The literature demonstrates a surge in transport activities, with, for instance, a 20% rise in environmental impact and a 15% increase in overall economic influence. Recognizing this, businesses understand the importance of developing long-term plans for road transportation, considering its substantial impact on sustainability within logistics operations. Consequently, it becomes crucial to construct decision support models capable of analyzing the sustainability of supply chain and logistics performance. Therefore, the objective of this study is to create a prediction model utilizing an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) to approximate the global multidimensional sustainable performance value of the supply chain in the context of road freight transport. This approach combines the key dimensions of sustainability, including economic, social, and environmental aspects, along with operational and stakeholder considerations, for the first time in pursuit of this goal. Prior to the machine learning phase, a minimum condition algorithm was utilized to calculate sustainable performance as an initial design step. This algorithm assigns to a dimension the lowest level among the fields within the same dimension. This study presents a unique technique for predicting the global multidimensional sustainable performance within the logistics industry, which can also be adapted for other sectors. As a result, it offers valuable insights to managers regarding strategic development options. Traditional cold alleys have the ability to adapt to hot climates with cooling and insulation, which is a traditional design method that conforms to sustainable development. Due to the limited depth of space and the adoption of mechanical ventilation in most contemporary architectural design, this passive energy-saving method is gradually being ignored. In this study, we use ventilation measurement and simulation to explore the characteristics of ventilation performance in the cold alleys of the renovation and expansion project of Shixiangyuan Garden. The research, using anemometers and thermometers for measurement, aims to explore how Shixiangyuan Garden can utilize its existing environment and improve it to adapt to local conditions, and also discusses the methods of increasing the number of air vents to improve the overall ventilation performance of the alleys, as well as the effects of form changes caused by utilizing water and plants to supplement the soft interface. Although many studies have explored the mechanisms of cold alleys in traditional architecture, few have discussed the variance of cold alley forms that could adapt to the limited depths of newly constructed buildings. The application of Industry 4.0 technology has substantial prospects for future innovation and corporate growth. This research study investigates the influence of Industry 4.0 technologies on the establishment of environmental sustainability in the manufacturing sector and other associated industries. Industry 4.0 and its associated technologies, including the Internet of Things (IoT) and cyber-physical systems, have a detrimental effect on environmental sustainability. This is due to factors such as air pollution, improper waste disposal, and excessive consumption of raw materials, information, and energy. The approach employed in this study is an extensive review of a literature review comprising 207 manuscripts that explore subjects pertaining to Industry 4.0 and environmental sustainability. Currently, there is a gap between the current and intended state of affairs. Production is happening in a paradigm that lacks sustainability, which is why this research examines the impact of Industry 4.0 on environmental sustainability and the relevant aspects of Industry 4.0. One of the objective of this study is to examine the notable advantages of Industry 4.0 in the context of sustainable manufacturing. The other objective of this study are to ascertain the specific tools and components associated with Industry 4.0 that have a role in promoting the progress of a sustainable ecosystem and to do a comprehensive analysis of existing literature to find out the effectiveness of technologies of Industry 4.0 in promoting environmental sustainability. This study identifies and examines 18 significant uses of Industry 4.0 that contribute to the development of a sustainable environment. This research shows that the convergence of Industry 4.0 and the sustainable development goals improves environmental sustainability by establishing ecological support that ensures superior environmental performance with a greater positive influence than previously. This paper aims to assist stakeholders and organizations in addressing current environmental concerns by implementing innovative technologies. In 2015, The United Nations launched the Sustainable Development Agenda 2030, which includes libraries as important contributors to developing nature preservation strategies and enabling the progress of humanity. Green libraries have been an innovative addition to librarianship, integrating the principles of sustainable development and ecological awareness in the realm of library design and operation. Such an ecological concept of librarianship implies the application of green architecture and energy efficiency, as well as the usage of energy-efficient materials, renewable resources and recycling disposable facilities. Ecological libraries actively promote environmental awareness and education of their users through programs, workshops and resources that encourage the exchange of knowledge and ideas for sustainable development. This integration of green architecture into librarianship contributes to the creation of environmentally sustainable communities and improvement of the environmental quality. The paper focuses on demonstrating that libraries can serve as an example of a balanced union of nature and culture owing to their building procedures and technological equipment, as several inspiring examples worldwide can show. As the global community strives to address the pressing challenges of environmental degradation and social inequality, the role of architecture in promoting sustainable development has gained unprecedented significance. This paper explores the intrinsic connection between architecture and sustainable development, focusing on Egypt as a case study. The research follows theoretical and practical application methodology, where case studies and solutions are applied. Egypt, with its rich historical heritage and rapidly urbanizing cities, presents a unique context to investigate how the built environment can contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined by the United Nations. This study adopts a multidisciplinary approach, integrating architectural analysis, urban planning principles, environmental science, and social studies to examine the various ways in which architecture influences and interacts with sustainability goals. Case Studies include two locations in Egypt as future concepts to solve problems: Downtown Cairo and Nubia-Aswan, where ideas were introduced towards a better quality of life. The findings of this research underscore the importance of collaboration between various stakeholders, such as government bodies, non-governmental organizations, architects, and the public, to create a holistic approach to sustainable architectural design and urban planning towards resilient communities. The paper also emphasizes the need for education and awareness campaigns to foster a culture of sustainability within the architectural and construction sectors. China's architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry needs a clear and sustainable development roadmap. Drawing inspiration from speeches delivered at a seminar hosted by the Chinese Academy of Engineering and extensive literature research on Chinese policies, this article presents a summary of the current trends in the AEC industry in four dimensions: industrialization as the foundation, intelligence as the enabler, lean management as the strategy, and green development as the goal. These four dimensions are intricately interconnected and rooted in multiple disciplines. The article provides a detailed review of the current practices, challenges, and future directions associated with each dimension. Additionally, ten grand challenges were proposed to stimulate discussions on the future of the AEC industry. This article offers an overarching understanding of the AEC industry and presents a four-dimension framework for sustainable development, which can be valuable for AEC practitioners. Purpose: This study reviews scholarly work in sustainable green logistics and remanufacturing (SGLR) and their subdisciplines, in combination with bibliometric, thematic and content analyses that provide a viewpoint on categorization and a future research agenda. This paper provides insight into current research trends in the subjects of interest by examining the most essential and most referenced articles promoting sustainability and climate-neutral logistics. Design/methodology/approach: For the literature review, the authors extracted and sifted 2180 research and review papers for the period 2008–2023 from the Scopus database. The authors performed bibliometric and content analyses using multiple software programs such as Gephi, VOSviewer and R programming. Findings: The SGLR papers can be grouped into seven clusters: (1) The circular economy facets; (2) Decarbonization of operations to nurture a climate-neutral business; (3) Green sustainable supply chain management; (4) Drivers and barriers of reverse logistics and the circular economy; (5) Business models for sustainable logistics and the circular economy; (6) Transportation problems in sustainable green logistics and (7) Digitalization of logistics and supply chain management. Practical implications: In this review, fundamental ideas are established, research gaps are identified and multiple future research subjects are proposed. These propositions are categorized into three main research streams, i.e. (1) Digitalization of SGLR, (2) Enhancing scopes, sectors and industries in the context of SGLR and (3) Developing more efficient and effective climate-neutral and climate change-related solutions and promoting more environmental-related and sustainability research concerning SGLR. In addition, two conceptual models concerning SGLR and climate-neutral strategies are developed and presented for managers and practitioners to consider when adopting green and sustainability principles in supply chains. This review also highlights the need for academics to go beyond frameworks and build new techniques and instruments for monitoring SGLR performance in the real world. This investigation delves into Green AI and Sustainable AI literature through a dual-analytical approach, combining thematic analysis with BERTopic modeling to reveal both broad thematic clusters and nuanced emerging topics. It identifies three major thematic clusters: (1) Responsible AI for Sustainable Development, focusing on integrating sustainability and ethics within AI technologies; (2) Advancements in Green AI for Energy Optimization, centering on energy efficiency; and (3) Big Data-Driven Computational Advances, emphasizing AI's influence on socio-economic and environmental aspects. Concurrently, BERTopic modeling uncovers five emerging topics: Ethical Eco-Intelligence, Sustainable Neural Computing, Ethical Healthcare Intelligence, AI Learning Quest, and Cognitive AI Innovation, indicating a trend toward embedding ethical and sustainability considerations into AI research. The study reveals novel intersections between Sustainable and Ethical AI and Green Computing, indicating significant research trends and identifying Ethical Healthcare Intelligence and AI Learning Quest as evolving areas within AI's socio-economic and societal impacts. The study advocates for a unified approach to innovation in AI, promoting environmental sustainability and ethical integrity to foster responsible AI development. This aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing the need for ecological balance, societal welfare, and responsible innovation. This refined focus underscores the critical need for integrating ethical and environmental considerations into the AI development lifecycle, offering insights for future research directions and policy interventions. Green roofs are promising tools in sustainable urban planning, offering benefits such as stormwater management, energy savings, aesthetic appeal, and recreational spaces. They play a crucial role in creating sustainable and resilient cities, providing both environmental and economic advantages. Despite these benefits, concerns persist about their impact on water quality, especially for non-potable use, as conflicting results are found in the literature. This study presents a comparative analysis of the quantity and quality of water drained from an extensive green roof against an adjacent conventional rooftop made of fiber–cement tiles in subtropical Brazil. Over a 14-month period, the water drained from both roofs was evaluated based on physical (turbidity, apparent color, true color, electrical conductivity, total solids, total dissolved solids, suspended solids), chemical (pH, phosphate, total nitrogen, nitrate, nitrite, chlorides, sulfates, and BOD), microbiological (total coliforms and E. coli), and metal (copper, iron, zinc, lead, and chrome) concentration parameters. The discharge from the green roof was 40% lower than its counterpart measured at the control roof, while the water quality from both roofs was quite similar. However, the green roof acted as source of chlorides, electrical conductivity, color, BOD, total hardness, E. coli, phosphate, sulfate, and turbidity. On the other side, the green roof neutralized the slightly acidic character of rainwater, showcasing its potential to mitigate the effects of acid rain. The study's results underscored that the water discharged from the green roof generally aligned with non-potable standards mandated by both Brazilian and international regulations. However, the findings emphasized the imperative need for pre-treatment of the green roof discharge before its utilization, specifically adjusting parameters like turbidity, BOD, total coliforms, and E. coli, which were identified as crucial to ensure water safety and compliance with non-potable use standards. Architecture represents one sector where energy-efficient design techniques are becoming of paramount importance; it touches upon the critical issues, renewable energy sources, water conservation, occupant comfort, and natural illumination. This paper compares the development and application of energy-efficient design strategies between India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan over the last two decades. The work sections also analyze respective policy frameworks to find best practices and areas for knowledge sharing between countries across the South Asian region. Although tremendous strides have been made in sustainable architecture and the mitigation of environmental impact, there remains a notable absence of comparative studies that would fill in the gaps in this current literature. This research critically examines these issues about the role of green building certification standards in India, particularly GRIHA, the Pakistan Green Building Council (PGBC), LEED in Bangladesh, and Pakistan. The study reveals significant progress in green building developments, such as installing solar panels, rainwater harvesting systems, and water-efficient fixtures. It strongly needs continuous efforts with the help of tighter regulations and increased collaboration toward sustainable development to be made in this direction. Promotion of regional cooperation and examination of environmental issues that will enhance knowledge toward sustainable architecture and a resilient firm in South Asia are the emphases of this study. Appreciating beauty is a positive human feeling. In architecture and design, it is associated with the usefulness of products to meet needs. Those products are well received by users. The designer's task is to achieve perfection in their work. The rational design of artificial living environments is also an expression of concern for a sustainable environment. The interdisciplinary New European Bauhaus is interested in these issues. This paper indicates the role of beauty and utility in the built environment. They are analyzed in the context of social and technical conditions and contemporary sustainable design. Its goal is to expand the knowledge of beauty and usefulness in architecture. They are increasingly important in the sustainable development of the built environment. This article uses research methods: interpretive research, analyses, comparisons, logical argumentation, etc. Innovative qualitative research in the form of a checklist is used. This survey can be used to rationally evaluate architecture and interior facilities. It can be helpful for various sustainable aesthetic and functional strategies dedicated to designers and users. It indicates possible directions for further assessment of architecture, e.g., in the context of management, environment and identity in the era of digitalization. The batik industry is starting to develop rapidly, and its contribution is improving the Indonesian economy. On the other hand, the batik industry produces waste that pollutes the environment. Batik SMEs do not realize the importance of sustainability orientation, and that some consumers prefer environmentally friendly batik products. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between sustainability orientation and sustainable economic performance, both directly and through sustainable environmental performance. The study was conducted in Surabaya, as well as the Regencies of Tuban, Lamongan, Sidoarjo, and Jombang. With the purposive sampling technique, 32 Batik SMEs were selected with 89 respondents. SEM-PLS was the method of data analysis used in this investigation. According to data analysis findings, sustainable economic performance benefits from sustainable environmental performance. Sustainable environmental performance is positively impacted by sustainability orientation. Sustainable economic performance is not directly impacted by sustainability orientation. Sustainability orientation indirectly influences sustainability economic performance through sustainable environmental performance. Remote work is becoming much more important in Europe. Employees are working from home and this means that they have to develop their digital skills concerning the use of computers and IT. They have to get accustomed to the use of software and need new transversal skills. Such skills and abilities will support them within the adaption process to the new accelerated international trend of working remotely. At home employees are often not so close to further education measures and knowledge management. Therefore, new ways of fostering the needed skills are required as well as modern ways how IT can support a modern knowledge management. This paper aims to investigate potential strategies to reduce energy consumption and environmental impacts of a recently converted rural complex into an agri-spa in a high environmental value area within the province of Viterbo (Italy). Actual operational data on appliances, climate, and energy consumption are employed for the energy audit. While this analysis generally provides energy-saving solutions, such options are not examined for their life cycle environmental impacts. The current article is based on the experimentation of a consolidated methodological approach in the scientific literature, integrating the energy audit, life cycle assessment (LCA), and economic analysis (Life Cycle Cost) to assess a series of energy-efficiency measures designed for the new wellness centre function. The combined use of these well-established procedures provides a comprehensive assessment of intervention scenarios for a particularly energy-intensive type of case study, not yet widely documented in the literature. The results reveal that energy consumption related to heating/cooling is marginal compared to the actual electrical consumption in the specific case study. Therefore, the most efficient scenarios involve installing photovoltaic systems and replacing gas boilers with high-efficiency heat pumps, especially with economically advantageous insulation. This leads to a 51% reduction in energy consumption and an 81% decrease in heating, DHW, and electricity costs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Selective reuse of heritage buildings should be based on consideration of strategic issues of sustainable development. Research that discusses the reuse of cultural heritage buildings in the field of architecture still does not implement the concept of sustainable architecture. The purpose of the study is to obtain a strategy formulation that can be used as a parameter for adaptive implementation of reuse in cultural heritage buildings in line with sustainable development. The research took a case study of De Tjolomadoe building in Surakarta City, Indonesia. The building is a former sugar factory building currently converted as a meeting place, tourist destination, and educational communal space. The benefits of the research provide recommendations for adaptive reused strategies for cultural heritage buildings with the concept of sustainable architecture to support sustainable development. The study used in-depth observation with interview techniques and secondary data from the literature as the determination of the most important factor of the concept of sustainable architecture in optimizing the management of cultural heritage buildings. The results show that there are four architectural aspects that need to be considered so that adaptive reused cultural heritage buildings can provide sustainable benefits, i.e., the need for integration and synergy between building history, culture, environment.

In order to accomplish Sustainable Growth Goal 9, this research analyzes in detail how green technological innovation, low-carbon architectural improvement, and more significant financial growth all work together to reach the goal. This research meticulously integrates secondary data from reputable sources to examine the relationship between economic growth, technological innovation in the built environment, and environmental sustainability from 1994 to 2019. For economic insights, the World Bank's World Development Indicators is a go-to resource, while Yale University's Environmental Performance Index (EPI) is a go-to for environmental metrics. Our research is based on this synthesis of multi-dimensional data, which enables an in-depth investigation of the interplay between financial development, sustainable architecture, and technical progress toward SDG-9. This research employs quantitative and qualitative methodologies to shed light on the intricate interaction between these elements, making it useful for policymakers, scholars, and stakeholders dedicated to directing sustainable development paths. The primary role of the architectural university environment is to promote architectural education and graduate architectural outputs that possess creativity, development and sustainability skills, and because a green education is a newborn concept that did not take a large space in the field of university education in general and architecture in particular, so the research problem was determined by (the scientific need to crystallize a comprehensive theoretical conception of Green architectural education and identifying its components, tools and characteristics in upgrading architectural education), as the research aims to (extract the most important formal and material characteristics and features of green architectural education). Accordingly, the research assumes that the departments of architecture advance green architectural education. The research explores the convergence of two pivotal trends in architecture: environmental and technological trends. The eco-trend focuses on the environmental impact of architectural practices, while the tech-trend emphasizes leveraging technology to enhance a building's performance. The thesis posits that integrating these trends holds the potential to create more sustainable structures, characterized by reduced environmental impacts and enhanced resource efficiency. The study reviews environmental systems that achieve sustainability and focuses on one system that is applied to hotel buildings. The study also analyzes different forms of intelligence within environmentally friendly architecture, including smart materials, response to environmental changes, smart systems for automated building management, and smart interfaces that facilitate interaction. The study proposes a range of key applications for environmental technology within hotel buildings, including energy-efficient lighting and heating systems, water-conserving fixtures, and innovative waste management systems. The results obtained from the study reveal that the fusion of environmental and technological considerations significantly increases the development of sustainable hotel facilities. Computational and data-enabled science and engineering are revolutionizing advances throughout science and society, at all scales of computing. For example, teams in the U.S. Department of Energy's Exascale Computing Project have been tackling new frontiers in modeling, simulation, and analysis by exploiting unprecedented exascale computing capabilities—building an advanced software ecosystem that supports next-generation applications and addresses disruptive changes in computer architectures. However, concerns are growing about the productivity of the developers of scientific software. Members of the Interoperable Design of Extreme-scale Application Software project serve as catalysts to address these challenges through fostering software communities, incubating and curating methodologies and resources, and disseminating knowledge to advance developer productivity and software sustainability. This article discusses how these synergistic activities are advancing scientific discovery—mitigating technical risks by building a firmer foundation for reproducible, sustainable science at all scales of computing, from laptops to clusters to exascale and beyond. The commitment and attitudes of all stakeholders, as well as giving recognition to their value as partners in the ecotourism domain, are crucial elements in ensuring sustainable ecotourism development. The social capacity theory (SCT) posits that implementing networks of relationships is a fundamental basis for successful and sustainable tourism development. However, research has shown that the planning and management of numerous ecotourism development programs are marred by a top-down approach. This study examined the level of stakeholder participation in ecotourism activities in the Umfolozi Municipality to determine if any gaps exist in the participation structure of this key economic enterprise. A concurrent exploratory mixed methods design was operated using qualitative and quantitative survey. Qualitative data that were collected from purposefully sampled participants were thematically analysed, while quantitative data that were collected from conveniently sampled respondents were analysed using SPSS software. The findings highlight the centralisation of power and a fragmented ecotourism landscape in the study area that is plagued by manipulative participation, lack of collaboration, lac k of co-ordination, lack of awareness, and apathy among key stakeholders. This study aimed to: (1) identify the condition of the Bedul Banyuwangi mangrove forest area for sustainable ecotourism; (2) evaluate the fitness of the Bedul Banyuwangi mangrove forest for sustainable ecotourism; (3) evaluate collaboration between the community and the management of Alas Purwo National Park in conserving Bedul mangrove forest areas; and (4) design a management strategy for the Bedul mangrove forest for developing sustainable ecotourism. This research is a descriptive analytic study with a survey technique constructed using a remote sensing approach and a Geographic Information System (GIS). Landsat and Quickbird satellite imagery are used to identify temporal changes in mangrove forests and temperature over the last decade. Quickbird remote sensing data are used to evaluate the current land use associated with community activities in mangrove areas and government policies related to the presence of mangrove forests. The results showed that: 1) the condition of the Bedul Banyuwangi mangrove area from 1995-2022 was in a stable state. ; 2) the fitness of the Bedul Banyuwangi mangrove forest for sustainable ecotourism is included in the S2 category or following with the Bedul mangrove ecotourism fitness index; 3) the collaborative management of the Bedul mangrove ecotourism between the community (fishing community, local government) and the management of Alas Purwo National Park is continuing good to maintain the condition of the mangroves and provide economic benefits to the community in a sustainable manner; 4) the management strategy implemented is to maintain the quality and quantity of Bedul mangroves and supporting facilities in a sustainable manner. In order to explore the relationship between the sustainable development of urban buildings and spatial rationality planning under the guidance of local government policies, this paper takes Beijing, Shanghai, and other regions as examples to conduct a questionnaire survey literature, analyzes environmental policies and green building principles, and puts forward several hypotheses based on relevant literature. Spatial rationality planning has an impact on the sustainable development of cities. Environmental policies and green building design principles have a constraining effect on the sustainable development of cities. Government policies can ensure the sustainability of urban building development and promote the rational distribution of space. The results show that there is an inevitable relationship between the rational spatial layout and the sustainable development of urban buildings, and environmental policy and green building design principles can promote the rational planning of space. Government policies can guide the rational layout of space and improve the sustainable development of cities. Therefore, spatial rationality planning is the main factor for the sustainable development of the city, government policy is the external factor, and environmental policy and green building design are the constraints. From the perspective of environmental policies and green building principles, local governments should guide spatial rationality planning to improve the sustainable development of buildings. This study aimed to identify economic empowerment programs and its relation with socio-economic empowerment in the Northern Governorates of the West Bank: Nablus Governorate as a model. The study approached the literature as a multi-dimensional phenomenon, which addressed both theoretical and applied research. The significance of this recent study is the first, which dealt with this theme, to the author knowledge, which in turn encourages other researchers to work on further research on this important issue. The study adopted the quantitative research approach using the sampling survey method. The questionnaire is appropriate for the exploratory nature of the research. A 42-item questionnaire was formulated which was divided into three sub-scales as follows: the general information of the participants; the second section dealt with the economic empowerment programs scale (22 items); and the third section included the socio-economic empowerment scale (20 items). The convenience sample method was utilized which comprised of a sample size of (180) male and female beneficiaries of the economic empowerment programs at the Ministry of Social Development in Nablus Governorate. The collected data was statistically analyzed using the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS). The findings revealed that participants experienced a high level of the economic empowerment programs in the Ministry of Social Development in Nablus Governorate, and these programs had a high impact in their socio-economic empowerment. The mean scores were (3.92, 4.11) respectively. The study revealed the determinant impact of the economic empowerment programs on increasing the socio-economic empowerment among beneficiaries of economic empowerment programs at the Ministry of Social Development in Nablus Governorate. It was found that when the economic empowerment programs increases, the socio-economic empowerment increasing and vice versa. These findings confirm the value of the economic empowerment programs on increasing the socioeconomic empowerment among beneficiaries of economic empowerment programs at the Ministry of Social Development in the Palestinian society in general, and among the beneficiaries of economic empowerment programs at the Ministry of Social Development in Nablus Governorate in particular, and recommend the need to work on the sustainability of these programs; because of its impact in the life of beneficiaries, the society, and the marginalized and poor individuals, the need to develop such programs, in a way that serves the process of sustainable economic and social development, and further research is essential in the area of the economic empowerment programs and its relation with socio-economic empowerment using the qualitative research design.
