Abstract

The reactivity of BiSrMnO, BiSrMnCuO, BiSrMnNiO, LaSrMnCuO and LaSrMnNiO in ethanol steam reforming was studied. Different steam to carbon ratios have been tested (therefore referred as S/C = 1.5, and S/C = 6). The effect of an ad hoc reduction pre-treatment was also investigated. Ethanol conversion is highest in LaSrMnNiO and significant selectivity toward hydrogen and CO is observed. The reduction pre-treatment is more effective on nickel containing catalysts, enhancing both ethanol conversion and H and CO selectivity. Graphical Abstract: [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
