Two new species belonging to the tribe Panagaeini (Coleoptera, Carabidae) are described. Namely Adischissus samarensis sp. nov. from Samar Island, Philippines and Microcosmodes tamilicus sp. nov. from Tamil Nadu, India. The newly described species are compared with related known taxa and their position in the species groups is discussed. Some taxonomical notes on the Craspedophorus microspilotus group of species sensu Kirschenhofer 2000 and Fedorenko 2016 are added. C. freudei Jedlička, 1966, C. denbickyi, C. molossus, C. maculatus, C. pacholatkoi (all four taxa described by Kirschenhofer 2000 and C. bretschneideri Kirschnhofer, 2011) are synonymised with C. geniculatus (Wiedemann, 1825). C. kiwlomensis Häckel et Kirschenhofer, 2014 is synonymised with C. chiangdaoensis Häckel et Kirschenhofer, 2014. Other taxa previously and erroneously synonymised with different species are synonymised with C. geniculatus including Craspedophorus louangnamthaensis Kirschenhofer, 2011, C. mandarinellus attapeuensis and C. mandarinellus malayensis (both Häckel et Kirschenhofer, 2014), and C. batesi Häckel, 2016 is synonymised with C. mandarinellus (Bates, 1892). C. punensis Häckel et Kirschenhofer, 2014 is revalidated as a species. C. kathmanduensis Kirschenhofer, 2004, C. gracilipes (Bates, 1892), provisionally C. obesus Louwerens, 1953 and C. halyi Andrewesa, 1923 are included in the C. microspilotus group sensu Fedorenko 2016. Type material of Cambefortinus insignis Richard, 1986 was examined and Cambefortinus Richard, 1986 is proposed as a junior synonym of Dysommatus Marshall, 1933; Cambefortinus insignis Richard, 1986 is transferred as a valid species to the genus Dysommatus. Dysommatus malawicus sp. nov., Tapinomorphus livingstonei sp. nov. and T. nyasicus sp. nov., all from Malawi, are described, illustrated and compared with other species of the genera. This paper revises the genus Eurhaphidophora from China and describes a new species, i.e., Eurhaphidophora dulongjiangensis Zhu & Shi, sp. nov. The females of Eurhaphidophora tarasovi doitungensis Dawwrueng, Gorochov & Suwannapoom, 2020 and Eurhaphidophora fossa Lu, Huang & Bian, 2022 are described for the first time. Moreover, Eurhaphidophora curvata Lu, Huang & Bian, 2022, syn. nov. is considered as a new synonym of Eurhaphidophora pawangkhananti Dawwrueng, Gorochov & Suwannapoom, 2020. Morphological measurements and genetic analysis of Epitrimerus violarius Liro (Acariformes: Eriophyoidea) with illustrations of males, females, and immature stages are presented in this paper. This species was reported for the first time in Poland and was collected from the leaves of Viola uliginosa in Cracow. The findings of this research provide insights for reassignment from the genus Epitrimerus Nalepa to the genus Leipothrix Keifer, within the family Eriophyidae. Aside from the molecular analysis that confirms the association with the proposed genus, the reassignment is also supported by the absence of femoral seta (bv) on both pairs of legs, and the presence of bifurcate gnathosomal seta, which are unique for Leipothrix. Summary: Zingiber (Zingiberaceae: Zingibereae) is an economically important but taxonomically difficult genus, with names frequently misapplied. Here, we thoroughly review all names corresponding to the currently recognised 54 species from China including their synonyms, and clarify the status of their types. Lectotypes are designated for 40 names (including one second‐step), neotypes for 3 names, and epitypes for 3 names. Additional and often uncited isotypes have been discovered for numerous names, and such additional records are here provided. Tupistra bambusifolia var. rubromaculosa, Z. simaoense, Z. confine and Z. larsenii are newly treated as synonyms of Z. atrorubens, Z. densissimum, Z. officinale and Z. recurvatum respectively. A new combination, Z. bambusifolium, is proposed, based on Tupistra bambusifolia. This study will form the nomenclatural basis of an ongoing taxonomic revision of the genus in China, and phylogenetic study of the genus. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

During an inventory of the Gelastocoridae in the Naturalis Biodiversity Center, Leiden, The Netherlands (formerly Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Historie, Leiden, The Netherlands), and the Nieser & Chen Collection in Tiel, The Netherlands, we came across an undescribed species of Nerthra Say, 1832 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Gelastocoridae: Nerthrinae). The specimens were collected from Bonaire and Curaçao, Kingdom of the Netherlands, and we describe them here as N. papaceki sp. nov. Nerthra lurida Todd, 1959, syn. nov., is synonymized with Nerthra occidua Todd, 1959 (both from Indonesia: Sulawesi). In addition, we provide new distributional records of Nerthra americana (Montandon, 1905) (Brazil: Paraná), Nerthra buenoi Todd, 1955 (Brazil: Pará), and Nerthra raptoria (Fabricius, 1803) (Suriname) and provide their diff erential diagnoses and illustrations. The monotypic pselaphine New Zealand genus Adalmus Reitter, 1882 (Euplectitae: Trichonychini: Panaphantina) is revised to include eight species. Six new species are described: Adalmus bullerensis sp. nov., A. kanierensis sp. nov., A. karekarensis sp. nov., A. mangamukaensis sp. nov., A. puberilumbus sp. nov., and A. serrilumbus sp. nov. In addition, the genus Dalmisus Sharp, 1886 is placed as a junior subjective synonym of Adalmus and the species Dalmisus batrisodes Sharp, 1886, Plectomorphus longiceps Broun, 1913 and Plectomorphus longipes Broun, 1912 are considered junior subjective synonyms of A. velutinus Reitter, 1885. Adalmus rugiceps (Broun, 1921) comb. nov. is transferred from the genus Plectomorphus Raff ray, 1898. Lectotypes are designated for Adalmus velutinus Reitter, 1885 and Dalmisus batrisodes Sharp, 1886. The study reports five species of phytoseiid (Acari: Phytoseiidae) predatory mites of the genus Amblyseius Berlese, Amblyseius adhatodae Muma, A. brachycalyx Karmakar, Bhowmik & Sherpa, A. herbicolus (Chant), A. largoensis (Muma) and A. tamatavensis Blommers, from Eastern Dry Zone of Karnataka. We examined the holotype of Amblyseius dahliae and confirmed it as a junior synonym of A. tamatavensis due to great morphological similarities between these two species. Hence, A. tamatavensis is being reported for the first time from Indian subcontinent. A brief description of each of the five species including measurements and other important morphological characters is presented as well as new illustrations of important morphological characters such as ventrianal shield and spermathecae were included to facilitate species delineation. The taxonomy of the subgenus Paragris de Saussure, 1855 of the genus Synagris Latreille, 1802 is revised, with recognition of the following species and synonymies: Synagris huberti de Saussure, 1855 (= Synagris clypeata Mocsáry, 1903 syn. n.; = Synagris huberti var. bimaculata Maidl, 1914 syn. n.; = Synagris huberti var. nigricans Maidl, 1914 syn. n.), Synagris ornatissima Maidl, 1914, and Synagris rufopicta Tullgren, 1904 (= Synagris rufopicta var. mimetica Bequaert, 1918 syn. n.; = Synagris parvula von Schulthess, 1928 syn. n.). The whitefly genus, Indoaleyrodes David and Subramaniam is reported for the first time from Japan with description of Indoaleyrodes japonica sp. nov. Indoaleyrodes geminata Pushpa and Sundararaj syn. nov. and I. strychnosae Pushpa and Sundararaj syn. nov. are synonymized with I. laos (Takahashi) through examination of holotype. Puparia of the new species are causing leaf pit-galls in leaves of Eurya japonica (Pentaphylacaceae) in Shizuoka, Japan. Ecological information on the new species and leaf gall forming whiteflies is given. Species of stalk‐eyed fruit flies, in the genera Pelmatops Enderlein and Pseudopelmatops Shiraki, have a distinct head structure with eyes located at the ends of stalks, setting them apart from other tephritids. Despite their unique morphology, the intraspecific variation of morphological and behavioural traits in these flies is still not well‐studied, leaving some questions about species definition unresolved. To address this, we conducted a study combining morphological evidence, behavioural studies, and molecular analyses. Our findings revealed male polymorphism in stalk‐eyed fruit flies for the first time, with four morphotypes observed in Pe. fukienensis and three in Pe. ichneumoneus and Ps. angustifasciatus. These morphotypes differ in eyestalk length, wing pattern, and the presence of projections or spikes at the ends of the compound eye. We also propose phylogenetic and phylogeographic implications for the group based on new molecular evidence, along with our observations of courtship and mating behaviours between previously recognized different species. Our study examined four nominal species (Pe. ichneumoneus and Pe. tangliangi, Ps. angustifasciatus and Ps. continentalis) and revealed rich evolutionary interactions within this group. A recent examination of type specimens and unidentified Indian cuckoo wasps deposited at the Natural History Museum (London) and at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History led to the discovery of: two new Indian species, Chrysis parviocula sp. n. (amneris species group) and Elampus bicolorsp. n.; a new synonymy, Chrysis quaerita Nurse, 1902 syn. n. of Chrysis dissimilis Dahlbom, 1854; an unnecessary replacement name, Hedychridium mocsaryi Rosa, 2021 for Hedychridium virescens (Mocsáry, 1914); and a misidentification of Chrysis obscura Smith, 1860 which is now excluded from the Indian fauna. Chrysis perfecta Cameron, 1897 is transferred to the viridissima group. New distributional records are given for Chrysis arkadyi Rosa et al. 2021, Chrysis bayadera du Buysson, 1896, Chrysis musa Semenov-Tian-Shanskij, 1954 and Praestochrysis palawanensis (Mocsáry, 1899). Eighteen types of Indian and Oriental species are illustrated for the first time. Types of six Oriental and Australian species described by Cameron, Smith, and Gray are illustrated and their status and depositories discussed. Years of research of the subtribe Blaptina made it possible to clarify relations between some species and propose changes in supraspecific structure of this subtribe. Blaps scabiosa Baudi di Selve, 1874 is designated as a type species of Caraboblaps Bauer, 1921, the new synonymy is proposed: Blaps Fabricius, 1775 = Caraboblaps Bauer, 1921, syn. n. Blaps nitens nitens Laporte, 1840 is designated as a type species of Periblaps Bauer, 1921, Blaps ominosa Ménétriés, 1832 is designated as a type species of Holoblaps Bauer, 1921; type species of Periblaps and Holoblaps are transferred here to genus Lithoblaps, as a result the following new synonymy is proposed: Lithoblaps Motschulsky, 1860 = Periblaps Bauer, 1921, syn. n. = Holoblaps Bauer, 1921, syn. n. The similarity of the structure of the aedeagus of Ablapsis compressipes Reitter, 1887 and some species of the subgenus Prosoblapsia Skopin et Kaszab, 1978 (genus Blaps Fabricius, 1775) gives a base to transfer the taxon Ablapsis Reitter, 1887 into the genus Blaps as a separate subgenus (Ablapsis stat. resurr.). Blaps tentyrioides Seidlitz, 1893 (= Blaps socia Seidlitz, 1893) is designated as a type species of the subgenus Protoblaps Bauer, 1921. As the genera Protoblaps Bauer, 1921 and Genoblaps Bauer, 1921 have one type species and the aedeagal structure of type species of Ablapsis, Protoblaps and Prosoblapsia is similar, the new synonymy is proposed: Ablapsis Reitter, 1887 = Protoblaps Bauer, 1921 syn. n. = Genoblaps Bauer, 1921 syn. n. = Prosoblapsia Skopin et Kaszab, 1978, syn. n. Analysis of imaginal and larval structures of the species here united in the taxon Lithoblaps Motschulsky, 1860 and other members of Blaps showed that differences between these two groups are comparable with those between other genera of the subtribe and, therefore, the former taxon is here regarded as a distinct genus Lithoblaps gen. resurr. Thus, 100 species and subspecies (marked as comb. n. or comb. resurr.) are transferred from Blaps to Lithoblaps. Simple Summary: The crane fly subgenus T. (Vestiplex) includes 189 species level taxa which are distributed throughout the Nearctic, Palaearctic, and Oriental Regions. In this work, the T. (Vestiplex) fauna of Taiwan is revised, entailing the recognition of 18 species, including six new species. DNA barcode sequences are also provided. The crane fly subgenus Tipula (Vestiplex) Bezzi, 1924 (Diptera, Tipulidae) of Taiwan is taxonomically reviewed, entailing the recognition of 18 species, with six of these species newly described, including T. (V.) diamondi sp. nov., T. (V.) formosae sp. nov., T. (V.) graciliana sp. nov., T. (V.) pseudobiserra sp. nov.,  T. (V.) survilai sp. nov., and T. (V.) taiwanica sp. nov. Three species, T. biaciculifera Alexander, 1937, T. niitakensis Alexander, 1938, and T. pseudobiaciculifera Men, Xue and Wang, 2016, listed previously as members of the subgenus T. (Pterelachisus) Rondani, 1842, are now formally placed as member taxa within T. (Vestiplex). Tipula subnata Alexander, 1949 and T. (V.) longarmata Yang and Yang, 1999 are designated as junior synonyms of T. (V.) coxitalis Alexander, 1935; T. (V.) nokonis Alexander, 1935 is designated as a junior synonym of T. (V.) terebrata Edwards, 1921; and T. (V.) takahashiana Alexander, 1938 is designated as a junior synonym of T. (V.) bicornigera Alexander, 1938. Included in this taxonomic revision are a key to species, species diagnoses for all species, complete descriptions for newly described species, and illustrations of the male genitalia for all species, and for female terminalia when available. DNA barcode sequences for all Taiwanese species of T. (Vestiplex) are provided. Males are associated with conspecific females based on CO1 results and maximum likelihood trees resulting from the analyses are presented. The Taiwan fauna of Tipula (Vestiplex) is highly endemic with 16 of the 18 species restricted to the island. Liassodites obsti gen. et sp. nov., an Early Jurassic member of Trachypachidae, is described from Western Pomerania (Germany). An epoxy resin transfer method is applied for the preparation of three-dimensionally preserved fossil. An annotated list of Palaeozoic and Mesozoic trachypachid genera was elaborated. For each trachypachid fossil member and erroneously placed genus, a short diagnosis or available arguments on systematic position are proposed. The relations of the subfamilies Eodromeinae and Coptoclaviscinae (Coptoclavidae) are discussed. The description of Liassodites obsti gen. et sp. nov. makes it possible to suppose that the currently recognised hiatus between families Carabidae and Trachypachidae is not great enough to regard them as two separate families. The genus Coptoclavisca should be regarded as a member of Trachypachidae or Carabidae (including Trachypachinae). The new genus Apermunda gen. nov. is proposed for Petrodromeus minor. Novunda nom. nov. is proposed for Unda and the following binominal names are changed: Novunda angulata comb. nov., N. cursoria comb. nov., N. microplata comb. nov., N. pachycephala comb. nov. and N. chifengensis comb. nov. A synonymy of Evertus and Fortiseode is established, with change of species name: Evertus pervalimand comb. nov. The taxa Beipiaocarabus, Leptopodocoleus (including Leptopodocoleidae), Praedodromeus, Procalosoma, Xinbinia, 'Eodromeus' viriosus, 'Unda' chonggezhuangensis and 'Unda' pandurata, 'Karadromeus' xiangfanggouensis are regarded as incertae sedis. The relationship between the genera Colasia Koch, 1965 and Belousovia Medvedev, 2007 within the tribe Blaptini is discussed, and a new synonymy is proposed: Belousovia Medvedev, 2007, syn. nov. of Colasia Koch, 1965. As a result, three new combinations are established: Colasia helenae (Medvedev, 2007), comb. nov., C. kabaki intermedia (Medvedev, 2007), comb. nov., and C. kabaki kabaki (Medvedev, 2007), comb. nov. Colasia akisoides Koch, 1965 is redescribed, and a lectotype is designated. Three new species of the genus Colasia are described and illustrated from China: C. bijica sp. nov. The European species of the potter wasp genus Eumenes Latreille, 1802 (Vespidae, Eumeninae) are illustrated and a new illustrated key to the 13 recognised species is presented. Eumenes mediterraneus aemilianus Guiglia, 1951 is synonymised with E. papillarius (Christ, 1791) (syn. nov.), E. obscurus André, 1884 and E. andrei Dalla Torre, 1894 with E. pedunculatus (Panzer, 1799) (syn. nov.) and E. crimensis Blüthgen, 1938 with E. sareptanus André, 1884 (syn. nov.). A new genus of mygalomorph spider Ekapa gen. nov., is described from South Africa. The new genus was formed to include the species Hermacha curvipes Purcell, 1902 and Hermacha nigra Tucker, 1917. These species are synonymized based on their somatic similarities, such as fovea shape, cheliceral teeth distribution, ocular pattern, presence of preening combs, and their close geographic distribution. The new genus proposed is distinguished by the presence of a projection in the retroventral side of the palpal tibia in males, together with a distinctive copulatory bulb shape; and in females by the shape of their spermathecae, with a high base and apical stalks that open into oval apical receptacles. In this paper, we revise the Merodon aberrans species group of the genus Merodon Meigen, 1803 (Diptera: Syrphidae), providing morphological diagnoses and descriptions, molecular data for three species, as well as an illustrated key and a discussion of the different taxonomic characters used. We also discuss distribution patterns for this species group. The results revealed that the M. aberrans group is composed of five described species (M. aberrans Egger, 1860, M. brevis Paramonov, 1926, M. flavitibius Paramonov, 1926, M. hamifer Sack, 1913, and M. warnckei Hurkmans, 1993) and three new ones, namely M. hermonensis Vujić, Radenković et Likov sp. nov., M. petiolatus Vujić, Radenković et Rojo sp. nov., and M. retectus Vujić, Radenković et Likov sp. nov. Following a detailed study of the type material in different entomological collections, the status of several species is revised, one new synonym is proposed (subspecies M. aberrans isperensis Hurkmans, 1993 as junior synonym of M. flavitibius), lectotypes are designated for M. kneri Mik, 1867 and M. flavitibius, and paralectotypes are designated for M. hamifer and M. flavitibius. Seven out of eight species from the M. aberrans group are distributed in the Asian continent, namely all Caucasian countries, Turkey and Iran, confirming the notion about high diversity of Merodon species in these regions, but also highlighting the need for a systematic faunistic research. The cosmopolitan genus Streptocara Railliet, Henry and Sisoff, 1912 (Nematoda: Acuariidae) comprises parasites of the upper alimentary tract of aquatic and, rarely, terrestrial birds. Two species of the genus Streptocara are redescribed from Bulgaria by means of light and scanning electron microscopy: Streptocara crassicauda (Creplin, 1829), based on specimens from Larus genei, Larus minutus (Laridae) and Aythya ferina (Anatidae), and Streptocara recta (von Linstow, 1879) from Podiceps nigricollis (Podicipedidae). This is the first record of S. recta from Bulgaria. The host and distribution records of the species of the genus Streptocara are reviewed. Six species are recognised as valid. Streptocara crassicauda (Creplin, 1829), S. californica (Gedoelst, 1919), S. formosensis Sugimoto, 1930 and S. incognita Gibson, 1968, seem to be parasites well-adapted to birds of the family Anatidae (Anseriformes) and occasionally found in other birds, whereas S. recta (von Linstow, 1879) and S. longispiculata Gibson, 1968, are specialists of Podicipediformes and Gaviiformes, respectively. Streptocara indica Fotedar and Chishti, 1974, is recognised as a junior synonym of S. crassicauda, and Schistogendra oligopapillata Zhang and An, 2002, is considered as a junior synonym of Streptocara formosensis Sugimoto, 1930. Phylogenetic relationsships of four nominal Lucanus Scopoli, 1763 species, L. swinhoei Parry, 1874, L. continentalis Zilioli, 1998, L. liuyei Huang & Chen, 2010, and L. wuyishanensis Schenk, 1999, are assessed based on mitochondrial (16S rDNA, COI) and nuclear (28S rDNA, Wingless) genes. The genetic distance is 0.0072 between L. swinhoei and L. continentalis, and 0.0094 between L. wuyishanensis and L. liuyei. Three species-delimitation approaches (ABGD, PTP, and GMYC) consistently showed L. swinhoei + L. continentalis and L. wuyishanensis + L. liuyei as two MOTUs. The paper discusses the taxonomy of three East Asian Nola Leach, 1815 taxa, N. costimacula Staudinger, 1887, N. japonibia (Strand, 1920) and N. innocua Butler, 1880. We describe a new species N. galliphaga sp. nov. from Japan and South Korea and synonymize N. japonibia syn. nov. with N. costimacula. Four new species are described: Pseudepipona (Deuterepipona) kostylevi Fateryga, sp. nov. (Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan), P. (D.) nikolayi Fateryga, sp. nov. (Kazakhstan), P. (D.) popovi Fateryga, sp. nov. (Turkmenistan), and P. (D.) vladimiri Fateryga, sp. nov. (Kazakhstan). A new synonymy is proposed: Pseudepipona (Deuterepipona) superba (Morawitz, 1867) = P. (D.) tricolor Gusenleitner, 1976, syn. nov. Lectotypes are designated for two species: Pseudepipona (Deuterepipona) herzi (Morawitz, 1895) and P. (D.) superba. Two species, both not occurring in the region under study, are transferred to the subgenus Deuterepipona from the nominotypical one: Pseudepipona (Deuterepipona) priesneri Gusenleitner, 1970 and P. Starting with original data, we describe morphological differences and ecological data for two flea beetle species, Polyclada bohemani and P. pectinicornis, which traditionally have been used by the Bushmen people in sub-Saharan Africa to poison their arrows. Moreover, we evidence differences in the formations of vegetation used by these two species, which are known to occur mainly in savannah and open forest habitats. Also, we identify differently suitable areas in terms of climatic preferences, in addition to a common territory in East Africa. We also supply, for the first time, the description of the shape of the aedeagus and the spermatheca of both species, supplying important new diagnostic characters for their identification. Coupling the geographic distribution and the ecological requirements of species often supports taxonomy and biogeography. In this contribution, we update the distribution of two flea beetle species of ethno-entomological interest, Polyclada bohemani and P. pectinicornis, by analyzing original data. In addition, we supply their main morphological diagnostic characters, describing their aedeagal and spermathecal shapes for the first time. We also assess their niche differences in terms of climatic and vegetation needs, by means of ecological niche modelling and remote sensing techniques. Several new localities were identified to improve knowledge of the geographical distribution of both species. Moreover, we located a wide climatic suitability overlap in East Africa for these two flea beetle species, while in other areas they show a clear separation. Our analysis also reports that P. bohemani is associated with areas of denser tree cover than P. pectinicornis. Finally, the lectotypes of Diamphidia bohemani Baly, 1861, Clytra pectinicornis Olivier, 1791, and Diamphidia compacta Fairmaire, 1887 are here designated and the new synonymy Clytra pectinicornis Olivier = Diamphidia compacta Fairmaire syn.nov. is proposed. Three new species of Cleptes Latreille, 1802, in the C. nitidulus species group are described: C. sfenthourakisi Rosa & Makris, sp. nov. (from Cyprus), C. christi Rosa & Makris, sp. nov. (Cyprus), and C. adonis Rosa & Boustani, sp. nov. (Lebanon). A new synonymy is proposed: C. ignitus var. chevrieri Frey-Gessner, 1887, syn. nov. of C. splendidus (Fabricius, 1794). The two members of the C. morawitzi species group, and the single member of the C. rugulosus group are transferred to the C. nitidulus group. The Cleptes semenovi species group is transferred from the subgenus Chrysocleptes Móczár, 1962 to the subgenus Leiocleptes Móczár, 1962, and synonymised with the C. nitidulus species group. Cleptes viridis Gravenhorst, 1806, is considered nomen dubium. The genus Palliduphantes Saaristo & Tanasevitch, 2001 is revised in the fauna of Italy. For each species, all known localities, new records, and remarks are provided. A synonymy of P. garganicus (Caporiacco, 1951) with P. istrianus (Kulczyński, 1914) syn. n. is proposed on the basis of a morphological comparison. Two new species, P. murphyisp. n. (♂♀) and P. robertsisp. n. (♂♀), are described from southern Italy. The new species are named after the prominent British arachnologists John Murphy and Mike Roberts, recently passed away. The caliscelid genus Symplana Kirby, 1891 is revised, with the type species S. viridinervis Kirby, 1891, is redescribed based on the lectotype. Three new species are described: Symplana maurici sp. n. and S. vieta sp. n. - from northwestern and central Vietnam and S. sultana sp. n. - from eastern Sumatra. Symplana elongata Meng, Qin et Wang, 2020 is placed in synonymy under S. brevistrata Chou, Yuan et Wang, 1994. Key to species of the genus is given. Peculiarities of connective structure and its connection with an aedeagus as well as fusion of endogonocoxal lobes in ovipositor are discussed and illustrated for different Augilini taxa and compared with other Caliscelidae. Three new species of the genus Hexagonia Kirby, 1825 from the island of Mindanao (Philippines) are described: H. amicitia sp. n., H. panumanod sp. n. and H. nigrocyanea sp.n. Taxonomical, geographical and nomenclatorial aspects of Merizomena Chaudoir, 1873 are discussed. The genus Merizomena is divided in to 2 subgenera Merizomena s.str. and Dichromenta subg. n. Afrotropical species of the genus Craspedophorus Hope, 1838, still ungrouped, are revised. A new species group is established in this part, C. festivus group. New species described are C. puchneri sp. nov. (Tanzania, Manyara) and C. schuelei sp. nov. (Mozambique, Sofala Province) of the C. festivus species group, and C. sciakyi sp. nov. (South Africa: Western Cape Province) of the C. strachani species group Häckel 2017b. New subspecies are C. deflexus nguruanus ssp. nov. (Tanzania, Morogoro) and C. strangulatus mesothorax ssp. nov. Microperus Wood, 1980 ambrosia beetles in Thailand are reviewed. Four species, M. bidentatus sp. nov., M. bucolicus sp. nov., M. globodeclivis sp. nov., and M. serratus sp. nov. are described. Four new combinations are given: Microperus armaticeps (Schedl, 1942) comb. nov., Microperus exsculptus (Eggers, 1927) comb. nov., Microperus pedellus (Schedl, 1969) comb. nov., and Microperus spicatulus (Browne, 1986) comb. nov., stat. res., all from Xyleborus. Two new synonyms are proposed: Microperus cruralis (Schedl, 1975) (= Xyleborus myllus Browne, 1986 syn. nov.), Microperus exsculptus (Eggers, 1927) (= Xyleborus dentipennis Browne, 1983 syn. nov.). Four species are reported from Thailand for the first time: Microperus chrysophylli (Eggers, 1930), Microperus exsculptus, Microperus nanus (Browne, 1949) and Microperus quercicola (Eggers, 1926). Clubionid spiders from Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, China are studied. A total of seven genera and 13 species have been found, including two new genera with one new species each, i.e., Ramosatidia Yu & Li, gen. nov., with R. situ Yu & Li, sp. nov. (♀♂) as the type species and Sinostidia Yu & Li, gen. nov., with S. shuangjiao Yu & Li, sp. nov. (♀♂) as the type species. Five additional new species are Sinostidia dujiao Yu & Li, sp. nov. (♀♂), Matidia xieqian Yu & Li, sp. nov. (♀♂), Nusatidia changao Yu & Li, sp. nov. (♀♂), N. mianju Yu & Li, sp. nov. (♂), and N. subjavana Yu & Li, sp. nov. (♂). The identities of two species of assassin bugs in the tribe Ectinoderini (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Reduviidae: Harpactorinae) from the Indochinese Peninsula are reviewed, resulting in the following new synonymy and new combinations: Amulius Stål, 1865 = Parapanthous Distant, 1919, syn. n.; Amulius spinicollis (Distant, 1919), comb. n. The Nitidula carnaria complex is defined to comprise three Palaearctic species: the widely distributed Nitidula carnaria (Schaller, 1783), N. maculosa Fairmaire, 1866 occurring in the eremial of North Africa and the Middle East, and a newly described N. obenbergeri sp. nov. from northern China, Mongolia and neighbouring territories of Kazakhstan and Russia. First records are given for Nitidula carnaria from Georgia, Pakistan and Tajikistan; N. flavomaculata Rossi, 1790 from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan; and for N. rufipes (Linnaeus, 1767) from Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, China (Shaanxi) and Russian Eastern Siberia. A lectotype of Nitidula latiplaga Solsky, 1876 is designated to fix its synonymy with N. flavomaculata Rossi, 1790 established by JELÍNEK & AUDISIO (2007). Only two lomapterine species are recently recorded from Misool Island. De Jong (1970) lists in his catalogue one male of Lomaptera papua Guérin-Méneville, 1830 from Misool and Kraatz (1886) described Mycterophallus xanthopus var. viridicollis from two specimens collected in Misool. Over the last few years, six species of Lomaptera Gory & Percheron, 1833 and one species of Mycterophallus Van der Pool, 1886 were collected during repeated expeditions to Misool Island (Indonesia, Eastern Moluccas). Lomaptera misoolica sp. nov., Lomaptera pallidipes glabrata ssp. nov., Lomaptera humeralis moluccana ssp. nov. and Lomaptera allardi detanii ssp. nov. are compared with their congeners flying in New Guinea Island and described here as new to science. Lomaptera burgeoni Valck Lucassen, 1961 is synonymised with Lomaptera fasciata Moser, 1923 based on abundant material from several localities across Indonesian part of New Guinea and newly collected population flying in Misool Island. Mycterophallus xanthopus viridicollis Kraatz, 1886 is recognised here as a distinct subspecies occurring in Misool Island. Occurrence of Lomaptera papua Guérin-Méneville, 1830 in Misool Island is confirmed here, this species seems to be commonest Lomaptera Gory & Percheron, 1833 in island. For the first time the tribe Phanerotomini (Braconidae, Cheloninae) of the Arabian Peninsula is revised, illustrated by colour photographs and keyed. The Anotylus rufus species group, formerly known only from the island of "Ceylon" is re-examined. In the course of revision of Trigonella sect. Ellipticae (Boiss.) Sirj. (Fabaceae) in Iran, herbarium and living material were studied. As a result, T. laxiflora Aitch. & Baker is reported as new for Iran, and T. torbatejamensis Ranjbar and T. korovinii Vassilcz. are reduced to its synonymy. Moreover, T. binaloudensis Ranjbar & Karamian and T. stipitata Ranjbar & Joharchi are synonymized under T. subenerνis Rech.f., and T. heratensis Rech.f. is excluded from the flora of Iran. Trechodes laophilus Deuve, 2002 is firstly recorded from Thailand (Chiang Mai province, Mae lai river). This species is probably closely related to T. leclerci Deuve, 1987 and T. satoi Uéno, 1991, both from Thailand too. An identification key including the morphology of the aedeagus, to all Trechodes species recorded from the Oriental region, as well as a distribution map of the species known so far from Thailand, are provided. The genus Blaviodes Bethune-Baker, 1910 is restored and revised. Seven species are transferred to this originally monotypic genus from New Guinea: Tigrioides approximans Rothschild, 1912, Graphosia phaeocraspis Bethune-Baker, 1908, Tigrioides laniata Hampson, 1914, Tigrioides albogrisea Rothschild, 1912, Scoliacma hampsoni Bethune-Baker, 1904, S. heringi Gaede, 1925 and S. virginea Bethune-Baker, 1908. New taxonomic data for species belonging to Araniella Chamberlin & Ivie, 1942 and Neoscona Simon, 1864 occurring in the Caucasus, Middle East and Central Asia are provided. Three species are described as new to science: A. mithra sp. nov. (♂♀, northwestern, central and southwestern Iran), A. villanii sp. nov. (♂♀, southwestern Iran, eastern Kazakhstan and northern India) and N. isatis sp. nov. (♂♀, central Iran). The genus-level names proposed by Johannes Gistel in Chrysomelidae are reviewed. The genus Chloemela Gistel, 1856 is designated as a nomen oblitum for Chrysolina Motschulsky, 1860 (nomen protectum), and Alitene Gistel, 1856 is designated as a nomen oblitum for Neophaedon Jacobson, 1901 (nomen protectum). Twelwe species are newly described and illustrated as follows: Taphrocerus bamboo sp. nov. (Peru), T. conformis sp. nov. (Brazil), T. cuprescens sp. nov. (Brazil), T. henryi sp. nov. (Brazil), T. hespenheidei sp. nov. (Peru), T. hyacinthus sp. nov. (Peru, Venezuela), T. imitator sp. nov. (Bolivia), T. likaveci sp. nov. (Brazil), T. obsoletus sp. nov. (Argentina, Brazil), T. stephani sp. nov. (Brazil, French Guiana, Peru), T. subviolaceus sp. nov. (Argentina) and T. yanamono sp. nov. (Peru). The new species are compared to the most related taxa. The following nomenclatural changes are proposed: T. alboplagiatus Kerremans, 1896 (= T. quadriplagiatus Obenberger, 1924 syn. nov.); T. cupriceps Kerremans, 1900 (= T. oliveirai Cobos, 1978 syn. nov.). The genus Crematogaster is one of the most species-rich and widespread groups of ants. Despite their often- high local abundance and important ecological interactions, the taxonomy of the genus is fragmentary and in great need of modern revisionary studies. As a first step towards a revision for the Arabian fauna of Crematogaster, a review of all known species with synoptic species accounts is provided. Seventeen species are recognized and illustrated from the Arabian Peninsula, of which two new species are described: C. jacindae Sharaf & Hita Garcia, sp. nov. from the Dhofar Governorate, Oman, and C. gryllsi Sharaf & Hita Garcia, sp. nov. from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) based on the worker caste. Crematogaster jacindae sp. nov. is easily separated from the remainder of the Arabian Crematogaster fauna due to its complete lack of propodeal spines, slit-shaped propodeal spiracles, and its distinct bicoloration, whereas C. gryllsi sp. nov. is readily distinguished by its unlobed postpetiolar dorsum. Furthermore, new country records are presented: C. acaciae Forel for the KSA and Yemen, and C. delagoensis Forel and C. jehovae Forel for the KSA C. antaris for Qatar, whereas C. luctans Forel is excluded from the Arabian fauna. In addition, on the basis of morphological examination of original type material, C. affabilis Forel is proposed as junior synonym of C. chiarinii Mayr, and C. striaticeps is elevated to species rank stat. nov. Summary: This contribution presents a redescription of three Labronema species originally described from Italy: L. angeloi , L. carusoi and L. pulchrum. Their type material is re-examined, described and illustrated with line drawings and micrographs. New information about these species is provided, including morphometrics and relevant morphological features. Morphologically, the three species form a homogeneous group, but can be separated by significant differences in the structure of female genital system, cuticle thickness on the tail, and shape and size of the spicules. The braconine parasitoid wasp genus Dioxybracon Granger, 1949 was known from a single species, D. bimucronatus Granger, from Madagascar. Three new species from the African mainland are described and illustrated, and a key provided to enable identification of Afrotropical species. The new species are D. maridadi Quicke & Butcher sp. n. from Uganda, D. aurumoram Quicke & Butcher sp. n. from Ghana and D. vannoorti Quicke & Butcher sp. n. from South Africa. D. bimucronatus is redescribed and illustrated photographically, and is recorded from the Aldabra Atoll for the first time. The morphology of the new species considerably blur the boundary between Dioxybracon and Pedinopleura van Achterberg, 1984, described species of which are from Japan, Papua New Guinea and Australia. In particular, we note that the holotype of D. bimucronatus differs from its redescription in having tergites 4–6 with deep basal grooves rather than shallow ones, a state used previously to differentiate it from Pedinopleura.
