In this work, we investigate the optical solitons and other waves through magneto-optic waveguides with Kudryashov’s law of nonlinear refractive index in the presence of chromatic dispersion and Hamiltonian-type perturbation factors using the modified extended mapping approach. Many classifications of solutions are established like bright solitons, dark solitons, singular solitons, singular periodic wave solutions, exponential wave solutions, rational wave, solutions, Weierstrass elliptic doubly periodic solutions, and Jacobi elliptic function solutions. This article studies a complex hyperbolic Schrodinger dynamical equation that is associated with nonlinear media via ultra short pulse propagation. The modified simplest equation method is executed to construct complex solitary wave and other solutions of the aforesaid equation by considering it in conformable M-fractional derivative sense. The acquired solutions are in the form of solitary and periodic waves and rational functions. These solutions are also described with their graphical representations by assuming appropriate values of required parameters. The principal purpose of this research is to utilize the exp-function approach for achieving exact solutions of nonlinear optical fibers, including fractional order in the sense of conformable derivatives. In this paper, we considered the nonlinear Schrodinger equation modeling cubic optical solitons in a polarization-preserving fiber with Kerr law. Using the improved t a n (φ / 2) -expansion method, a powerful and effective method, we constructed exact solutions including the hyperbolic function solution, the trigonometric function solution, the exponential solution and the rational solution with free parameters. The geometrical shapes for some of the obtained results are depicted for various choices of the free parameters that appear in the results. In this paper, we study a class of cubic–quartic NLSE with the Kerr law nonlinearity via a new sub-equation method. In this paper and for the first time, we describe and introduce a new extended direct algebraic method which is a new method for solving nonlinear partial differential equations arising in nonlinear optics and nonlinear science. By applying this method, we have constructed new solitary wave solutions for the unstable Schrödinger equation. A large family of traveling wave type exact solutions covering exponential, generalized trigonometric, rational and generalized hyperbolic functions to this equation is determined. This paper addresses solitons in optical metamaterials. The semi-inverse variational principle (SVP) is utilized to secure bright soliton solutions to the governing model. There are five forms of nonlinearity that are studied in this paper. They are Kerr law, power law, parabolic law, dual-power law and finally the log law nonlinearity. In particular for Kerr law nonlinearity, there are two additional forms of soliton solutions obtained. They are cosh-Gaussian pulses and bright-dark combo solitons and these are collectively being referred to as exotic solitons.
