The purpose of this research is to simulate the process flow of public healthcare and evaluate the improvement of process flow using ARENA simulation. Lean is a method for process improvement and it can be applied to any process including healthcare sector. The previous study has integrated lean methodology for improving the patient flow by identifying root causes of patient flow problems and proposing a lean patient flow process. Therefore, this study attempts to measure the operation process flow in public healthcare and create an improvement operation process flow simulation model in order to improve the service quality. This study employed qualitative research method and the data collection method was used to observe and face to face interview method. Data were analyzed using the ARENA simulation. The comparison of output from the simulation improvement model and the output from the current model been analyzed to get the differences. According to the result, it can be seen the performance has improved by improving the process flow, reduce the distance, reduce the time and increase the number of patients. All the objectives of this research been achieved. In addition, the takt time and the cycle time of improvement layout has reduced by 12.04% compared with current layout. From the results of the simulation, the improvement layout proved to get the best performance compared to the current layout. Using the improvement layout will help the case study to improve their operational efficiency and will help the process flow of patent become smooth in order to improve the process flow of healthcare in Malaysia toward improving the service quality using lean technique. In the era of urbanization, a wide range of Industry 4.0 technologies has provided for total quality management (TQM) practices to ensure the consistency of customers' satisfaction and products' quality. Industry 4.0 development make a change on how TQM practices are applied in industry. However, there are still lacking in addressing the impact of Industry 4.0 on TQM practices in previous works. Hence, the aim of this paper is to identify the impact of Industry 4.0 on TQM practices in automotive industry at Malaysia. A quantitative approach has been used in this research which included descriptive analysis and correlation analysis to achieve the research objectives. The findings shows that the industry 4.0 significantly impact towards the implementation of TQM practices in automotive industry at Malaysia. Six Sigma (SS) has grown quickly throughout the world, for improving performance such as quality, cost reduction and customer satisfaction. Six Sigma has been proven to be an effective approach for performance improvement in a variety of industries for many years. Six Sigma is a business strategy which is applicable in all industries. SS is set up for identifying and eliminating defects in any process such as products or services. However, many companies had implemented Six Sigma but not successful due to many reasons such as low return on investment, poor leadership and lack of commitment from senior management. Some of the barriers are due to lack of knowledge, insufficient exposure and wrong understanding of the Six Sigma practices. In order to improve business performance, implementation of Six Sigma is very important. The focus of this study is to determine the level of six-sigma implementation and the relationships between Six Sigma factors and their performance in Malaysian Manufacturing. The study is based on quantitative approach using a questionnaire survey in Malaysia manufacturing industry. Random sampling was used in this study and questionnaire had been distributed to 200 companies in Malaysia. Finally, 35 respondents have been received or equal to 17.5% response rate. The results shows that top management involvement and commitment, teamwork and organizational infrastructure factors show high level while training and education and cultural change show moderate level. This study also reveals that there is a significant impact of critical success factors (CSFs) on Six Sigma performance with r=0.41 with p<0.05. This study established a clear guideline on CSFs necessary to adopt in order to ensure the correct implementation of Six Sigma in organizations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
