Two new type specimen files of KONCHU database, TachikawaType and M.ChujoType were constructed and are available to the public via the Internet. Each record consists of scientific names (family, genus and species), type locality, sex, collection date, collector, bibliographical information (title of the original description, journal, volume, page) etc., according to the format of the Darwin Core of the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF). In this paper, we present each home page of the two files. The database is administered by a SIGMA management system and can be accessed by visiting the following URL: http://konchudb.agr.agr.kyushu-u.ac.jp/tachikawatype/ and http://konchudb.agr.agr. kyushu-u.ac.jp/chujotype/

A new database, AIIC, the Asian Insect Information Center database, was constructed and is available to the public via the Internet. The aim of this database is the accumulation of insect data involving types and normal specimens deposited in universities, institutions and museums in Japan. Each record consists of scientific names (family, genus and species), locality, collecting date, collector, etc, according to a format of the Darwin Core of the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF). In this paper, we present each home page of six files currently constructed, ELKUType, BeeELKU, BeeFukuda, BeeCAsia, BeeFTadauchi and COLSasaji, as well as the top page of AIIC. The database is administered by a SIGMA management system and can be accessed by visiting the following URL: http://aiic.jp/

A new specimen database of KONCHU, BeeAXylo based on Asian carpenter bees was constructed. Each record consists of scientific names (family, genus and species), locality, collection date, collector, etc., according to the format of the Darwin Core of the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF). At this time the collection of Asian Xylocopa specimens preserved in Naturalis (The National Museum of Natural History in Leiden, the Netherlands) is available to the public via the Internet. We will continue to accumulate Asian Xylocopa data. In this paper, we present the home page of the file BeeAXylo. The database is administered by a SIGMA management system.

An image database file TOBIKOBACHI based on the Japanese Encyrtid wasp collection of Dr. T. Tachikawa is reconstructed and open to the public via the Internet. Each record is composed of 16 items as follows: scientific names (family, genus and species), Japanese name, distribution data, type locality, type depository, source of the original description, synonymy, flying season, hosts, parasites, references, notes and images. The images include various parts of the body, such as the general habitus, head, antenna, mandible, scutellum, wings, stigmal vein and genitalia. A home page of the TOBIKOBACHI is presented. It is administered by a SIGMA management system.

A database file, ELKUTType, based on the type collection preserved in the Entomologycal laboratory, Kyushu Universitym Fukuokam Japan wase constructed as one of the files in the KONCHU database and is available to the public vai the Internet. Each recorf is composed of 19 items, and consists of scientific name, Japanese name, current species name, order, family, author, year, source of the original description including bibliographic data, type designation with sex, type locality, country, preservation from, existence of paratypes and an image of the type specimen. A home page of the ELKUType database is presented. It is administered by a SIGMA management system. A user can access the database file by visiting the following URL://http://konchudb.agr.kyushu-u.ac.jp/elkutype/.

An image database file HANABACHI based on the Japanese bees is constructed and is open to the public on Internet. Each record is composed of 16 items, i. e., scientific names (family, genus and species), Japanese name, distribution data, type locality, type deposit ory, souece of the original description, synonymy, morphological notes, remarks, flying season, visiting or associated flowers, natural enemy and images. The images include the whole body, head in frontal viwe, mesoscutum, propodeum, metasomal terga and so on. A home page of the HANABACHI is presented. It is managed by a management system SIGMA.

A database file MOKUROKU based on "A Check List of Japanese Insects" is open to INTERNET as well as in the Computer Center of Kyushu University. Each record is composed of 5 items, i. e., scientific names of family, genus, species, Japanese name and distribution. A home page of file, MOKUROKU using the database management system SIGMA is presented. A taxon-based entomology database KONCHU is open to the public on INTERNET as well as in the Computer Center of Kyushu University. It is based on main Japanese entomological journals and treats a taxon, e.g. species, genus, family, as one record. Each record is composed of 13 items, such as bibliographical, taxonomical, distributional data and key words. Examples of the use of the KONCHU using the database management system SIGMA are presented. A user can access to the file by retrieving the following URL: http://konchudb.agr.agr.kyushu-u.ac.jp/.

A reference database file, TABR, based on tropical Asian bees was constructed and is available to the public via the Internet. Each record is composed of 11 items, and consists of scientific names (family, genus and species), distribution data, type designation with sex, type locality, type depository, source of the original description, synonymy, references and notes. A home page and an example of a search of the TABR database is presented. It is administered by a SIGMA management system.
