The article discusses the origin of common small house with lobby-entry in England. It states that many of them are built in seventeenth century. It cites that mason Humphrey Frisbey constructed the Haunt Hill House in 1643, which consists of one room on each floor. The term lobby entry refers to the entrance since entry is commonly used in contemporary documents for the space entered into. It is argued that the lobby-entry plan is not a product of evolution that descended from regions with polite architecture, rather an invention.
