This work focus on the influence of the family on the consumption of sweetened beverages in preschool children. Due to the increasing prevalence of overweight and obesity in the population, it is necessary to find new ways to actively prevent this trend. The theoretical part of the thesis focus on the causes and effects of overweight and obesity. It analyzes uncontrollable influences, such as genetics, or racial and ethnic differences. Also influences that can be influenced, where we can include, socioeconomic status, eating habits, and the consumption of sugary drinks, physical activity, sleep, stress or family influences. The thesis deals with netolism and other risky behavior of children and adolescents on the Internet, points out the fundamental role of parents in this issue. It introduces the concepts of dependence, the family and parental responsibility. Attention is paid to addiction to social networking sites and online games and some other types of risky behavior on the Internet, e.g. cyberbullying, sexting, cybergrooming. The impact of excessive internet use on the development of children and adolescents is considered. The theoretical findings are supplemented by the view of social worker's of the Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children and a non-substance addiction prevention worker of the Pilsen Region which was obtained by conducting semi-structured interviews.

The bachelor 's thesis deals with drug use by young people. Its aim is to find out why juveniles use addictive substances, what life situations lead them to do so and whether seeking happiness or enjoying life can be the reason. The theoretical part will present fundamental concepts of the area of drug problems and emergence of addictions. The thesis will also focus on the ethical aspect and the possibilities of social assistance for juvenile drug addicts. The practical part will contain an analysis of the data collected in semi-structured interviews with five juvenile actors who struggled with addiction to addictive substances.

The diploma thesis Gambler in the family deals with the topic of gambling, with a specific focus on the issue of gambling in the family. It focuses on family members and examines the phenomenon of gambling from a family perspective - it analyzes its impact on individual family members and examines whether this impact is the same or different in different families. The main goal of the diploma thesis is to examine gambling from multiple angles, the influence of the various components on the successful cure of pathological gambling, from the perspective of the family (dominant perspective), from the perspective of society and from the perspective of the helping organization. First, the researched problem is described from a theoretical point of view, and then qualitative research is carried out, in which the researched problem is analyzed in more depth. The main method used in the empirical part is qualitative research, in which the influence of the above components on the pathological player and his treatment process is examined through a research tool - a semi-structured interview. For a more comprehensive picture of the diploma thesis, case studies are added - case studies focusing on individual cases of gamblers and serving as a comparison for similar cases.

The bachelor thesis deals with truancy at secondary vocational school. The aim of the theoretical part is to define the basic concepts related to the issue and also classify truancy, describe the causes, legislative documents, consequences and ways of solving. The theoretical part will conclude with possible measures leading to the reduction of truancy. The method used for processing the theoretical part is the study of specialized literary sources, analysis and synthesis. The aim of the practical part is to map the overtures leading of truancy, describe the course and capture its possible consequences. The survey will be based on a qualitative approach. The research tool is a semistructured interview. In-formants will be pupils of secondary vocational schools who have been proven to have truancy. The analysis of the acquired data will be done through open coding. At the end of the thesis there will be mentioned several theoretical findings resulting from the informant’s answers and subsequent recommendations for pedagogical practice.

Tato práce rozebírá problematiku návykových látek, konkrétně tedy postoj návykovým látkám studentů ostravských středních a vysokých škol. V práci jsou rozebírány pojmy, které jsou spojovány se samotným výzkumem. Dále obsahuje informace o opatření problému ve zkoumaném městě. Také se soustředí na již provedené výzkumy, a to jak zahraničí, tak v České republice a základě jejich výsledků pak byly položeny výzkumné otázky a formulovány hypotézy. Kromě zjištění postojů ostravských studentů středních a vysokých škol se práce snaží zjistit, jaké faktory by samotný postoj mohly ovlivnit. Tyto faktory byly rovněž stanoveny na základě již provedených výzkumů. Samotný výzkum bakalářské práce byl prováděn pomocí strukturovaných anonymních dotazníků a následné analýzy získaných dat v programu SPSS. Na základě výsledků analýzy byl vyvozen závěr, a to sice že ačkoliv mají vysokoškolští studenti větší zkušenost s návykovými látkami, jejich postoj k nim je negativnější než u středoškoláků. Postoje středoškoláků jsou také více ovlivňované vnějšími faktory. Oproti tomu postoj vysokoškolských studentů je zkoumanými faktory ovlivňován minimálně.

The thesis is focused on the specifics of work of pedagogical worker with socially disadvantaged children during the process of their integration into the out of school care environment. The thesis is trying to find out how the pedagogical workers detect such disadvantage and furthermore how are they handling this problem. The research part is based on qualitative research strategy using the methods of observation, casuistry and open interviews.

The bachelor thesis deals with alcohol use consumption in Czech vocation students. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part is focused on the definition of alcohol, the influence of alcohol on health especially in adolescence, parents influence on adolescent´s attitudes toward alcohol. It is also focused on alcohol addiction, its stage, treatment and therapy and possible prevention at school. The aim of the practical part is to investigate student´s experiences with alcohol consumption, the age at which they first try alcohol, their parents pattern and the possibility of communicating about family problems, and whether students had any preventative activity during the schooling. The data are collected using a questionnaire survey. The obtained data are evaluated by basic statistical procedures and the final results are presented in text form, numerical expression and graphical representation.

In the bachelor thesis I describe CAN syndrome and its types. The main part of the work is a description of the family, school, institutions, projects and organizations through which children can learn about CAN syndrome. I also focus on the multidisciplinary team, prevention and description of the children's home. In the practical part of the thesis I deal with research at selected clients at the Children's Home Radenín. The aim of the work is to find out what awareness of the CAN syndrome the children have. I will determine whether they know who they can turn to for assistance, whether they had preventive programmes at school, I deal with possible consequences of the CAN syndrome, etc. Qualitative research has been used to achieve the goal. As a research technique, I choose a semi-structured interview. I think this technique is the most suitable for children. Some of the children may have no awareness of the issue, so I can explain them the concept and the interview can continue.

This thesis provides definitions and characteristics of individual drugs and their effects on adolescents. The need for prevention and treatment of adolescent clients is emphasized, alongside with the family support, which is often crucial. In the practical part, the author of the thesis focuses on organizations that are critically important in this field. These organizations focus on prevention, counseling services, social inclusion and treatment facilities (inpatient and outpatient services), etc. Their characteristics and methods of client treatment are described. Furthermore, in this work the author presents a survey that confirms the findings of some detailed quantitative research papers. The main findings are that drug abuse is a major problem of this century and also a burden on society, especially on the adolescents themselves. The solution is very complicated and time consuming, but everyone can contribute by not being indifferent to this problem.

This study explores experience with addictive substances of secondary school children from one chosen grammar school. The theoretical part focuses on a quantitative research using a questionnaire. Identified themes from the research are synthesized using tables and grafts. Furthermore, the final part of this study contains an interview with the school methodologists preventer. Analysed data showed, that the use of addictive substances remains a current problem and the number of the users has increased in 2015, even though that the users are aware of the side effects. It was also identified that after comparing findings from a study conducted in 2012, the number of cannabis users has decreased about 11%. Hypothesis, that girls are frequenter users has not been confirmed. Conversely, it was confirmed that family play an important part of prevention. This study may provide invaluable information to the secondary school.

Thesis on the subject, "Leisure activities as a prevention of socially pathological phenomena " deals with the question of what influence leisure activities have on the development of a child and how strong is the position of these activities against socially pathological phenomena among children and youth. In the theoretical part of the work a free time is defined, the elaboration of a child's development that is influenced by the social environment and congenital dispositions is here elaborated. Social pathological phenomena and the prevention against them are described. A research investigation is done in the practical part by observing two different groups of boys of the same age in the Educational Institute in Žlutice and in the Forestry High school in Žlutice. The final part of the work summarizes the findings, evaluates and confirms the positive impact of leisure activities on the development of the child.

The aim of the research was to map drug abuse and sound out pupils' opinion on prevention programmes, which are carried out in schools. Today the impact on the increase of sociopathological issues in children is very specific. This is, undoubtedly, caused by swift cultural and social changes taking place in our society and affecting the family and school life of children. The negative implications lie in questioning norms which leads hand in hand with inappropriate examples to the destabilization of life values, reflected by delinquent behaviour among children both at school and in their family. The main objective of the present thesis was to find out the degree of delinquent behaviour taking place in grammar schools in the town of Třeboň today, and how the family and school can contribute to the prevention of this sociopathological phenomenon. The theoretic section of the thesis defines basic related terms. We mention a simple classification of behaviour disorders covered by the special education of children with behavioural disorders which are divided into two basic categories based on the degree of social threat and age. There are two main factors contributing to delinquent behaviour: heredity; social factors; and family and school, defined as the key factors by experts. Subsequently, these are characterized giving an essential picture of the overall perspective of the issue covered by the thesis. Ample space is given to the characteristic of the terms "family" and "school" as they are the two institutions that are essential in terms of upbringing. We present the primary function of the family, highlighting its importance and impact when it comes to individual behaviour. In a separate section called "The School" are presented the priorities of this institution, characterizing the issues such as the role of teachers and bullying in school. The theoretic section is supported by relevant specialized publications. The thesis offers multiple views on the given issue in order to give a complex perspective and a comprehensive picture of our topic. The research part of the thesis is based on three hypotheses which were verified during the research. The first hypothesis was the following: Children from incomplete families may be more predisposed to delinquent behaviour. The second hypothesis: More than half of respondents experienced bullying in school. And finally, the third hypothesis was: Children who experienced bullying tend to confide to their peers rather than parents or teachers. The research was carried out using the quantitative method of data collection with the sample represented by the pupils of grammar schools in Třeboň. In view of the topic we chose the interview method using a questionnaire, which made it possible to evaluate the object and the hypotheses to be verified. The questionnaire included 16 questions and was distributed by teaching staff of grammar schools to the selected respondents. The research provided answers to all the hypotheses. The first hypothesis was confirmed: The function of both parents is important to the child; if it is affected, children are more prone to delinquent behaviour, which was both the result and verification of our first hypothesis. So the study revealed that an incomplete family is not able enough to fulfil its upbringing and preventive function. The research of our second hypothesis, associated with the sociopathological issue of bullying, proved our assumption that more than half children have actually experienced bullying in school. Finally, the last hypothesis was verified and confirmed: having experienced bullying, children tend to confide to their peers rather than parents or teachers. The research gave us a picture of how the function of both school and family is irreplaceable when it comes to the upbringing of children. Trust and psychological support in the development of children in both family and school are a factor impacting their healthy development in the future.

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of alcohol and smoking at the second stage of primary schools. The theoretical part consists of six main chapters, which are further divided into subsections. This section presents the development of the child and the factors that influence its development, includes the concept of Drugs and Drug Addiction, characteristic alcohol, alcoholism, smoking, smokers typology, a division of prevention, leisure, leisure activities and facilities. The practical part deals with the current data acquisition, we find three hypotheses set out and detailed analysis of the data obtained. It was found that more than half of the respondents had experience with alcohol and cigarettes, smoke more children whose parents are smokers and a large majority of parents take their children from alcohol and smoking does not warn.

This diploma thesis discusses the issue of truancy of the primary schools' pupils in the region Ústí nad Labem from the socio-pedagogical point of view. The theoretical part is divided into eight chapters. In the introduction, there are definitions of social pedagogy, schools, compulsory school attendance and truancy. After this, thesis describes division, causes and factors which influence truancy. The thesis also discusses the school environment, family environment, peer groups, prevention and ways of dealing with truancy. In practical part, there are case studies of ten families presented in which their children dealt with truancy. The analysis of case studies is focused on identifying some factors in the families that influenced the truancy and the common way how to deal with it in Ústí nad Labem, the success of interventions and present situation. Subsequently, recommendations for practice were made.

It aims at evaluating the impact of acquired physical disabilities on children?s lives and their families, and also on the awareness of patients and their families about subsequent care options. The Bachelor´s thesis "A Sudden cardiac death - and its social impact on the family" deals with a sudden cardiac death and its influence on functionality of a basic element of the state ? the family. The main task of this thesis is to determine a total psychosocial impact of a sudden cardiac death on the relationships in the family and verify which psychosocial rehabilitation options are offered to the bereaved persons. The expected application of this thesis in practice should improve living conditions for the bereaved persons and to provide them with more information about this diagnosis. In the theoretical part the diagnosis of a sudden cardiac death was described in detail. The death that occurs within one hour after the first signs is a frequently discussed topic in professional medical circles. The heart disease is considered as the main risk factor. Therefore, doctors primarily concentrate on this area in the treatment and prevention. Nevertheless 25 percent of patients who died of sudden cardiac disease had no signs of heart disease. So it´s important to think about familial syndrome. The major role in therapeutic activities is played by antiarhytmic therapy, kardiovertru-defibrillator implantation or catheter ablation. The main objective of the research was to determine how the current society is informed about the risk of NSS, its causes and possible prevention. The possibilities of psychosocial rehabilitation for families with psychosocial impact from diagnosed sudden cardiac death of a family member were analyzed here as well. The first set of questions was focused on lifestyle diseases that are closely connected with NSS and significantly increase the risk. The answers revealed the current society is quite well informed about lifestyle diseases, mainly cardiovascular diseases. Despite this knowledge the Czech population health situation has not changed significantly and civilization diseases are growing instantly. Another set of questions focused on the NSS and its causes. A lot of survey respondents put emphasis on SAC prevention in contradistinction to experts who already work with endangered patients and focus on managing and control of life threatening arrhythmias. Approximately half of the respondents identified themselves as endangered because of their health problems (cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes, etc.) More than 95 percent of the respondents expected impacts on the family and its relationships caused by the sudden cardiac death of a family member. Only 8 percent of the respondents put emphasis on potential social-economic changes. The research dealt with a problem whether the public is well-informed about possibilities of psychosocial rehabilitation. And the findings indicate it is not. More than 58 percent of the respondents try to solve problems themselves or with help of their family or friends. The responses to the survey confirmed the assumption that majority of the respondents (80 percent) know only about financial support from the state to the bereaved persons. And they would use only this state support if their family member died. Common people consider the using of psychosocial rehabilitation unavailable or they believe it is intended for the target group of psychologically ill people, mentally handicapped, alcoholics and drug addicts. A most of them don´t know that it could be used by the bereaved persons (91.16 percent). Due to the activity developed by the MMR as counseling for bereaved persons, it seems that it could get better in the near future. The offered service called ?consultancy for the bereaved persons? could get widely into the public knowledge.

This bachelor work is called Passive and active smoking and its prevention among primary school pupils. It´s divided in several parts one of which is a description of the process of becoming a involuntary passive smoker, an overview about principal consequences of being active or passive smoker as well as the summary of composition of the tobacco smoke, which is very injurious to human health. There is also a chapter talking about main differences between the influence of the passive and active smoking on human organism. Passive smoking belongs to the most extended global and social problems nowadays and the most endangered group of passive smokers are children living with active smokers at home. Children frequenting elementary schools are very specific group of young people. Active smoking is dramatically extended in this type of schools, that´s way this bachelor work also talks about the prevention, its meaning and possibilities. The last part of this bachelor work is a research realized on the group of 80 pupils as well as their age, family background and particularly experiences with smoking, their knowledge about the prevention of negative influence of smoking on the organism and how important role do the schools and family have in the process of the prevention. The mentioned research was accompanied by the interview with the methodist of prevention of selected elementary school. The conclusion of the bachelor work is the detailed analysis of acquiered information and results.

Prevention of suicide as a new task of Christian educators In my bachelor thesis I will deal with the phenomenon of suicide, its prevention and the importance of Christian education in it. I will identify the term of a Christian educator and suicide itself. I will describe the theory of self-destructive behaviour according to the medical (psychiatric), sociological and psychological aspects. I will also describe the various types and subtypes of suicide and their various causes. Of course, I will focus on the relationship of Christianity to suicide. Another chapter will discuss the prevention of suicidal action, prevention programs and targeted intervention. At the end of my work I will try to summarize the scientific knowledge and my own opinions on this difficult and basically not clearly definable issues.

The work deals with youth and children crime. It is concentrated on crime as a whole, it defines the most important terms related to the topic. It points out probable roots of that pathological phenomenon and looks for possible measures leading to its reduction. Considering the field of study, i. e. Pedagogy, a part of the work will be aimed at children's primary social environment, i.e. family and school. Attention will be paid to crime prevention and its categories. Finally, case studies will prove that family, school, education and training are the most important factors forming young people and influencing their behaviour.

This thesis focuses on the problems of homeless people. In the theoretical part I deal with the most important findings regarding the characteristics of homelessness, the basic problems of that and the social pathological phenomenon. I also thought about the organizations which provide social services for people without shelter. The main substance of the practical part is to define the life events and situations that caused the homelessness and at the same time to show, how these people have to cope in such difficult situations to survive living out in the street. For the research I chose the qualitative method with the help of a manual. There were 12 respondents of adult age who took part in this research and who have experiences of living their life in the street.

Praktická část je zaměřena na výzkum vedoucí k analýze nejčastějších problémů a jejich příčin z hlediska učitelek mateřských škol a má za cíl zjistit, jaké osvědčené metody v oblasti prevence, diagnostiky a nápravy pedagogové používají. I have tried to describe areas which might have a possible impact to child's personality regarding the prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation. Practical part of my study explores the most common problems caused by nursery teachers and tries to avoid them in the future by use of proper corrective teaching methods.
