Implementation of breast cancer screening using digital mammography improved the diagnosis of primary proliferative regressive structural changes in the breast, manifested as diffuse or diffusely-nodal deformations of tissues. Currently, women are significantly more likely to seek medical consultation for damages of the breast that could not be evaluated earlier. This requires the development of special tactics for their treatment and follow-up. Nowadays, searching for prognostic markers and choosing adequate therapy for nodular and diffuse mastopathy are among the most discussed issues in mammology, because up to 25% of all breast cancer cases are diagnosed during the in situ phase. In this article we try to reassess the problem of dyshormonal changes in the breast and develop an optimal approach to their treatment. The purpose of research was to study data on the effectiveness of the drug Mastodinon® in gynecological patients with diffuse dishormonal breast dysplasia complicated by mastalgia. The study included 127 women with mastalgia, which were divided into 2 groups: group I included 96 women with cyclic mastalgia, and group II included 31 women with non-cyclic mastalgia. Patients were recommended the herbal drug Mastodynon® 1 tablet 2 times a day for 6 months. Evaluation of the effect was carried out on the subjective sensations of patients and on the objective data of ultrasound or mammography. Only 78 (61.4%) patients were assessed in dynamics according to the results of control examinations performed in the period from the 4th to the 8th month after the start of therapy. The results of the study in the treatment group Mastodynon® was 2.6 times better than in the untreated group: on average by the 6th month of therapy a positive response was observed in 71% of cases in the form of the disappearance or reduction in the mastalgia severity.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the efficacy of Mastodynon® in terms of indications in elevated doses versus the standard dose. Materials and methods. Data were analyzed for 60 patients after surgical treatment of fibrocystic mastopathy. Depending on the postoperative therapy received by the patients, they were divided into three equal groups. Patients of Group I were observed in accordance with the standards established in mammal practice and did not receive special agents that affect hormonal homeostasis. Patients of Group II in addition to observation received Mastodynon® (1 tablet or 30 drops 2 times a day) for 6 months. Patients of Group III were given for a postoperative rehabilitation Mastodynon® in a double dose (2 tablets or 60 drops 2 times a day) for 6 months. Results. Surgical treatment without conservative therapy eliminates organic changes in the breast, but hormonal disorders that have led to pathologic and histological changes in the tissues of breast continue to exist for a long time and can lead to repeated nodal formations. In group І, 25% of patients within 2 years performed repeated sectoral resections on recurrence of nodule formation. The use of Mastodynon® in standard doses (group II) for postoperative rehabilitation contributes to a significant improvement in hormonal homeostasis (normalization of prolactin, estradiol and progesterone levels), a 24.7 mm decrease in the degree of cyclic mastodynia according to the visual analog scale (VAS), and the improvement of ultrasound scan picture of breast in 75% of patients. The most pronounced effect of this rehabilitation approach after the surgical treatment phase was noted for the use of Mastodynon® in double doses (2 tablets or 60 drops 2 times a day) in Group III. In these patients, the degree of reduction of cyclic mastodynia was 30 mm for VAS and positive changes in the tissues of breast were noted in 85% of patients. Conclusion. Despite the presence of short-term side effects and rapid rebounding in the double-dose Mastodynon® group, our study showed better results than standard doses, faster and more stable therapeutic effect. Taking into account the results obtained, it can be argued that the use of high doses of Mastodynon® may be recommended to patients for the treatment of mastopathy.

The article presents a systematic review of the main pathogenetic mechanisms of the onset and development of insufficiency of the luteal phase (ILF) and its association with hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian dysfunction. The characteristics of clinical variants of the course of this pathology and its consequences for the reproductive health of women are given. The list of modern methods of ILF diagnosis and brief characteristics of diagnostic studies necessary for correct diagnosis according to current standards and protocols are presented. The review of modern methods of treatment of ILF aimed at correcting the deficit of progesterone, the elimination of hyperprolactinemia and leveling the effects of chronic stress on the body is presented.

Dyshormonal breast dysplasia is the most frequent pathology encountered by practitioners. The interest of clinicians to these processes is associated with several factors. On the one hand effective treatment, relieves symptoms, ensures the quality of life. On the other hand, mastitis is a risk factor for subsequent malignant tumor. Therefore, timely correction is a variant of primary prevention of breast cancer. The choice of the adequate tactics of conducting such patients from the existing diversity of dosage forms is the key to success. The paper discusses the main molecular mechanisms that are implemented with the use of the drug Mastodynon®.

The premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a pathological symptom that significantly reduces the quality of a woman’s life. The etiology and pathogenesis to date have not been sufficiently studied, but the diagnosis, treatment and prevention that are to be complied with have been identified. The treatment of the PMS should be differentiated, taking into account the overall and reproductive health of the woman, the concomitant diseases, the degree of severity of ICP, the portability of therapy, etc.

Objective. To evaluate the efficacy and tolerability of Mastodynon® in the treatment of diffuse mastopathy and symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) in women in the menopausal transition period. Subjects and methods. A clinical prospective, parallel-group, randomized, monocenter, open-label trial with active control was conducted. The trial included 60 patients (mean age, 49.0 ± 3.1 years) who used Mastodynon® or bromocriptine for 24 weeks. Results. Hyperprolactinemia was detected in 63.3% of the women suffering from different forms of diffuse mastopathy in the menopausal transition period. There was a statistically significant decrease in prolactin levels at 24 weeks of treatment with Mastodynon® (Δ -244 ± 95.8 mU/ml) (p < 0.001) and bromocryptine (Δ -226.4 ± 101.5 mU/ml) (p < 0.001). The results of therapy with Mastodynon® were comparable to the efficiency of that with bromocryptine (p > 0.05). Ultrasound mammography revealed positive changes in the breast structure in 67% of the patients with different forms of diffuse mastopathy treated with Mastodynon® and in 43% of those treated with bromocriptine. There was a decrease in the incidence (92% vs 37%; p < 0.001) and severity of mastalgia at month 6 of Mastodynon® treatment, the results of therapy did not differ in the two groups (p > 0.05). Treatment with Mastodynon® in patients with different forms of mastopathy concurrent with the symptoms of PMS was more effective than that with bromocryptine in relieving autonomic disorders (p < 0.05). Adverse events (AEs) occurred more commonly in the patients receiving bromocriptine (60%); AEs were noted in 7% in the Mastodynon® group (p < 0.05). Conclusion. Mastodynon® that contains Vitex agnus-castus extract is an effective agent with a high safety profile to treat mastalgia and symptoms of PMS in patients with different forms of diffuse mastopathy during the menopausal transition period.

The article presents the program and stages of breast examination in patients seeking an obstetrician-gynecologist. The classification of benign breast diseases (BBD), the possibility of treatment of gynecological diseases with dyshormonal pathology and the effectiveness of this therapy in mastitis and mastodynia. Submitted by the products developed and registered for the treatment of BBD. Attention is paid to drug Mastodynon possessing a multifaceted effect on various parts of the endocrine system in the treatment of premenstrual syndrome, defective lutein phase, mastitis and mastodynia.

The purpose of the study wasto examine the effectiveness of the drug Mastodynon® for the treatment of mastopathy in pre - and perimenopausal women. Materials and methods. The research was carried out within 12 months. Patient presenting complaints of pain in the breast, passed a comprehensive examination (clinical and Х-ray and/or sonographic) and questionnaires at the first visit and every 6 months. The plant-based drug Mastodynon®. Results. We examined 38 patients aged 45-56 years. Most women in this group for many years were observed due to mastopathy of different forms and degrees of severity. After 6 months after start of treatment with Mastodynon® the majority of patients reported decrease or absence of pain in the breasts, improvement of psycho-emotional condition. The positive effect of various degree was observed in 71.05% of the patients. After 1 year revealed a stabilization of the therapeutic effect of the drug Mastodynon® in 83.3% of cases. Mastodynon® has shown high effectiveness, good tolerability in the treatment of mastopathy in women of pre - and perimenopausal age, it has improved thepatients quality of life.
