The article discusses the examination on whether the prolonged ingestion of recrystallized amylose (RCA) would delay the development of rat's insulin resistance. The food that was fed to rats contains waxy cornstarch (WCS) as carbohydrate or a diet that has 30% RCA as replacement of WCS for 18 weeks.
