Limited artistic exchange among Balkan nations obscure the similarity and interconnectivity of the issues facing each country such as patriarchy, marginality, ethnic conflicts, narrow-mindedness and resistance to change. Several films have already conceptualized Balkan conflicts but until a Balkan film is established in the west, it will never have the chance to be seen by other Balkan nations.
