Several baryons containing a heavy b-quark have been discovered. The decays of these states provide new platform for testing the standard model (SM). We study CP violation in SM for charmless two-body decays of the flavor SU ( 3 ) anti-triplet beauty baryon (b-baryon) B = ( Ξ b − , Ξ b 0 , Λ b 0 ) in a model independent way. We found, in the flavor SU ( 3 ) symmetry limit, a set of new predictive relations among the branching ratio Br and CP asymmetry A CP for B decays, such as A CP ( Ξ b − → K 0 Ξ − ) / A CP ( Ξ b − → K ¯ 0 Σ − ) = − Br ( Ξ b − → K ¯ 0 Σ − ) / Br ( Ξ b − → K 0 Σ − ) , A CP ( Λ b 0 → π − p ) / A CP ( Ξ b 0 → K − Σ + ) = − Br ( Ξ b 0 → K − Σ + ) τ Λ b 0 / Br ( Λ b 0 → π − p ) τ Ξ b 0 , and A CP ( Λ b 0 → K − p ) / A CP ( Ξ b 0 → π − Σ + ) = − Br ( Ξ b 0 → π − Σ + ) τ Λ b 0 / Br ( Λ b 0 → K − p ) τ Ξ b 0 . The Higgs boson has the largest coupling to the top quark among the standard model (SM) fermions. This is one of the ideal places to investigate new physics beyond SM. In this work, we study the potential of determining Higgs boson properties at the LHC and future 33 TeV and 100 TeV colliders by analyzing various operators formed from final states variables in production. The discrimination power from SM coupling is obtained with Higgs boson reconstructed from and . We find that process can provide more than discrimination power with integrated luminosity in a wide range of allowed Higgs to top couplings for the LHC, the 33 TeV and 100 TeV colliders. For the discrimination power will be below at the LHC, while for 33 TeV and 100 TeV colliders, more than sensitivity can be reached. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The CKM matrix describing quark mixing with three generations can be parametrized by three mixing angles and one CP-violating phase. In most of the parametrizations, the CP-violating phase chosen is not a directly measurable quantity and is parametrization dependent. In this work, we propose to use experimentally measurable CP-violating quantities, α, β or γ in the unitarity triangle as the phase in the CKM matrix, and construct explicit α, β and γ parametrizations. Approximate Wolfenstein-like expressions are also suggested. Since β is most accurately measured among these three phase angles, we consider β parametrization as the best one to use. Abstract: We study the complementarity between quark and lepton mixing angles (QLC), the sum of an angle in quark mixing and the corresponding angle in lepton mixing is . Experimentally in the standard PDG parametrization, two such relations exist approximately. These QLC relations are accidental which only manifest themselves in the PDG parametrization. We propose reparametrization invariant expressions for the complementarity relations in terms of the magnitude of the elements in the quark and lepton mixing matrices. In the exact QLC limit, it is found that and . Expressions with deviations from exact complementarity are obtained. Implications of these relations are also discussed. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
