Objective: to know the therapeutic care of the agents of sobriety pastoral care with drug addicts. Method: exploratory research with a qualitative approach, conducted in a reference religious community in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil. Data collection was performed between february and july 2019 through semi-structured interviews. Data analysis was performed by Content Analysis under the light of the Consciousness Expansion Theory. Results: the care developed by pastoral care generates benefits that are not restricted to dependents and codependents, but also to pastoral agents. However, there were some limitations of this care, associated with the number of pastoral agents, lack of partnerships with other entities and/or poor understanding of the agents in the 12-step program. Conclusion: the importance of strengthening this care is highlighted, given the difficulty in reaching/assisting this vulnerable group in the community. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: To identify the personal needs of Nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic in Mato Grosso. Method: exploratory and qualitative study, conducted in April 2020, with Nurses from the state of Mato Grosso. The collective subject discourse and Maslow Theory of Human Needs were used. Results: The participants presented intermediate needs (security and social) regarding the categories of Maslow theory. Regarding the speeches, four central ideas were obtained: self-care, need for affection, understanding of distance and losses in the marital relationship. Conclusions: Nurse personal needs reflect the impact of the protective measures recommended during the COVID-19 pandemic in both the work and family context. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Life in incarceration is permeated by challenges from different areas, perceptions about how women perceive health and their process of illness in the prison environment are fundamental to broaden the discussions that can reduce the iniquities to which they are exposed. Objective: To know and reflect on the perception of the health-disease process from the point of view of re-education. Method: This is a descriptive and exploratory research, with a qualitative approach developed in a Female Public Chain of a municipality in the northern region of Mato Grosso along with 57 convicted or provisional women. The data collection was carried out in October 2016, through an individual interview guided by a semistructured script prepared by the researchers themselves, containing open questions that addressed aspects related to the perception of reeducation on the concept of health and its determinants and determinants. Results: The reports expressed diverse meanings of health for this population, from reduced concepts to broader ones, corresponding to the absence of diseases, access to health professionals and medicines, self-care, possibility of exercising work activities and freedom. Conclusions: It is necessary to create and implement public policies and social projects, offer continuing education to prison professionals, partnership with social actors and active participation of health professionals to guarantee better quality of life for re-education and maintenance of the Prison system. The objective of the study was to know the accessibility of people with disabilities to the family health unit. This is an observational, descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Made in suburban neighborhoods in the largest municipality in the northern region of Mato Grosso. Data collection took place in March 2016, through an observation script and measuring instruments. The images were interpreted by iconographic analysis. It has been verified that the route of the residence of the disabled to the health unit, has many obstacles that can make the circulation unfeasible. This fact gives these people the tendency to lose their autonomy, since there will be the need of third parties help. Thus, they end up risking amid urban imperfections and irregularities and this trend to entail new possibilities of damages. They can also opt for other routes with fewer barriers, but more distant and dangerous. It is undeniable that the best way to reduce barriers is the movement of social inclusion, particularly in the planning of buildings and public mobility with greater accessibility, in the knowledge / reflection of the needs of the disabled person, support to families and articulation with the present social devices in the community. In addition, health professionals, especially nurses, play a key role in establishing links, so they can devise strategies to minimize such obstacles, while at the same time relieving moments of anguish and pain. This study aimed to know the perception of women in chemical dependency situation within Mato Grosso. This is a descriptive and exploratory qualitative study, based on the theory of Peplau. Held in the only female therapeutic community, belonging to the Northeast of Mato Grosso - Brazil, in the period March-April 2016, with 15 women. Data collection occurred in the service itself, using semistructured interviews with writing and recording. For analysis, we used the Content Analysis. The results revealed that women in treatment in this community have similar drug-related experiences but tend to respond differently to treatment, especially since not all women have chemical dependency as their primary reason for being in that care facility. It is concluded that the therapeutic communities should strive to recognize the weaknesses presented by the women since the reception to develop therapeutic plans based on the potential of women. To do so, these services must value the multiple needs of these women, so that by providing them, greater possibilities of recovery can be made possible. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Brazilian nursing seems to have reached important levels of learning during the pandemic, not only because of the need to control the circulation of the new coronavirus and care for the sick. Objective: To know the learning generated from the COVID-19 pandemic among nurses. Methods: exploratory and qualitative study, carried out in August and September 2021, with tertiary health care nurses who were on the front line during the pandemic, in the State of Mato Grosso, Brazil. Individual interviews were carried out, based on guiding questions. For data analysis, the collective subject discourse was used. Results: As learnings generated, the participants pointed out professional aspects (theoretical/practical), as well as personal aspects (reflection of the value of the human being, family and professional fulfillment). Conclusion: The learning provided by the pandemic, while contributing to the perception that in the face of insecurity and uncertainty it is possible to learn and develop, highlights the strength of nurses, who were initially weakened during the pandemic, but which potentiated the sensitivity to new discoveries, confrontations and strengthening of their individual and collective resources.
