In this article, the author discusses the performance measure Citation Index, which is used to measure quality of a research paper for publication. The article discusses the use of lithography in book production. It explores the particular aspect of design in the book "Early Lithographed Books," which is about publications of the nineteenth-century that were produced by the new process of lithography. The article reports on the characteristics and features of the articles or essays which can be published in the "College Composition and Communication" (CCC). The articles which can be published in CCC must represent the best work in composition, address a significant scholarly issue which is related to the teaching of college-level writing. They should reflect English studies, rhetoric, cultural studies, critical theory, literacy studies, race studies and writing program administration. The articles should also be composed of 4,000 and 7,000 words which is approximately 16 to 28 double-spaced pages.

The article offers instructions to authors for article contributions related to terrestrial and aquatic botany in the journal "Acta Botanica Croatica." The article presents information on the guidelines for submitting LATEX article. Kluwer Academic Publishers has developed a special style file for authors who want to submit LATEX articles. KLUWER.STY is a general LATEX style file which is used for all Kluwer journals, irrespective of the publication's size or layout. KLUWER.STY is offered at a number of servers around the world.

The article focuses on the August 1936 issue of the journal "American Sociological Review." The editorial board's time and labor would be saved if some of the manuscripts submitted conformed more closely to the style forms used in the journal. Very probably, also, the cost of publication can be somewhat reduced by careful attention on the part of authors to spelling, punctuation, form of references and similar matters. The office has taken its standard for spelling, and use of hyphen. The present issue of the journal may be consulted for standard forms of stating references, though all are far from claiming perfect consistency. All manuscripts, unless acceptance is assured through previous arrangement, should be accompanied by postage, if return, in case of rejection, is desired. The article features Lonely Planet, an icon in travel guidebook publication. The company started out using Ventura Publisher, QuarkXpress and then switched to Adobe Indesign due to its Unicode support. Through its integration with Typéfi Publish, it enables to maintain its existing workflow while largely automating its manual page layout process, including sidebar positioning, inserting box-out elements, page balancing, placing maps and other labor intensive tasks. Discussed further, are the publisher's plan of leveraging the Typéfi Publish in its business and exploring the ability to re-use content. Through Typéfi Publish, LP was able to explore new business chances.

The article provides information on how to contribute manuscripts for "Science Scope," the periodical of the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) in the U.S. for middle school science teachers.
