The prevalence of mental disorders in primary care has been the subject of numerous studies and is between 24 and 30% in our environment. However, only between one third and half of the cases are correctly recognized by the Primary Care physician, no differences were found in attitudes or knowledge between Primary Care physician with training via MIR (Interim Resident Physician) and non-MIR, despite the fact that the MIR training program includes mental health training. Different professionals find interaction situations with these patients in their daily performance and may act as stigma perpetuators if they show negative attitudes of fear and hostility (Roos and Goldner, 2009). The aim of this study was to examine if the training during the university degree changes the attitudes towards people with mental disorder in the future professionals of Health Sciences and Social and Legal Sciences. The questionnaire “Opinions concerning mental illness” (Ozamiz, 1980) was administered to 820 students (70.37% women and 29.63% men) from different degrees of Health Sciences, and Social and Legal Sciences. This scale assessed global Attitude and five subscales (Negativism, Social Etiology, Authoritarianism, Restrictivism, and Prejudice), obtaining a reliability higher than .7 in Negativism and Social Etiology. Results indicated that students in their final year of Health Sciences as well as Social and Legal Sciences, show attitudes more positive, lower levels of Negativism towards mental ill patients and greater tolerance than first-year students. In addition, first-year students of the degrees linked to Health Sciences have a more positive attitude, less Negativism and greater tolerance towards mentally ill patients, compared to the first-year students of degrees related to Social and Legal Sciences, indicating the possible vocational influence in the election of sanitary qualifications.

The current work introduces a study about the knowledge obtained by the proffesionals in the educational areas of detection, indetification and notification of child abuse situations. For that matter, a questionnaire about detection of child abuse has been designed and distributed amongst Early Childhood and Primary Education teachers in three schools throughout San Fernando (Cádiz). The results denote the existence of a widespread ignorance from the teachers about how to detect, notify and act when a child abuse case appears, and so with the action protocol about child abuse and the most popular notification tools. Likewise, there is an evidence that points to the uncertainty of these teachers, among which we can highlight the process to follow when there is a suspicion of an abuse situation and their rol when they have to intervene in the way parents educate their children. La adolescencia es considerada como un periodo especialmente sensible en el proceso evolutivo del ser humano. Es en este periodo donde se van a adquirir determinados comportamientos denominados de riesgo para el adolescente. El objetivo fundamental se centra en analizar el contexto comunicativo, familiar y escolar en relación al comportamiento sexual del adolescente (debut, uso de medidas anticonceptivas y conocimiento de enfermedades sexuales). Se les administró a alumnos de E.S.O. (Enseñanza Secundaria Obligatoria) de toda Andalucía un cuestionario en donde se abordaban factores demográficos, familiares y educativos; así como diversas cuestiones relacionadas con su conducta sexual. Los resultados muestran que de manera mayoritaria, los adolescentes han recibido educación sexual, valorada muy positivamente, pero que sin embargo no resulta determinante para el uso de métodos anticonceptivos aunque si facilita el conocimiento de enfermedades de transmisión sexual. Aquellos que han recibido educación sexual se inician antes en prácticas sexuales de riesgo. El preservativo es el método más utilizado siendo el motivo de uso evitar un embarazo no deseado. Los que se inician precozmente en las relaciones sexuales poseen padres con menor nivel de estudios, manifiestan una peor relación con los mismos tanto a nivel de comunicación, como de control y disciplina y poseen peores resultados académicos. Los resultados obtenidos muestran la importancia de los factores familiares y educativos a la hora de iniciarse los adolescentes en su vida sexual de una manera temprana.

RESUMENEl objetivo de la presente investigación fue determinar la influencia de los componentes de la teoría de la conductaplaneada sobre indicadores del comportamiento lector en estudiantes mexicanos de nivel medio superior. Con una muestraconstituida por 305 estudiantes, los resultados de los análisis de ecuaciones estructurales mostraron índices que sugierenel poco ajuste del modelo como estructura explicativa general de los indicadores del comportamiento lector considerados eneste estudio. Con algunas adecuaciones basadas en las pruebas de multiplicadores de Lagrange y de Wald, un segundoanálisis indicó el ajuste satisfactorio de las variables del modelo de la conducta planeada a los indicadores del comportamientolector, siendo las principales variables explicativas la actitud en sus componentes afectivo y cognitivo. Los resultados sondiscutidos respecto a las implicaciones teóricas y consecuencias educacionales en relación al impacto que las actitudespueden tener en el fomento de esta actividad.ABSTRACTThe objective of this research was to determine the influence of the components of the theory of planned behavior onindicators of reading behavior in Mexican students high school level. With a sample consisting of 305 students, the resultsof structural equation modeling showed fit indices that suggest the inadequacy of the model as general explanatorystructure of the indicators of reading behavior in this study. With some adjustments based on the tests of Lagrangemultipliers and Wald, a second analysis indicated the adjustment of the variables of the model of planned behavior toindicators of reading behavior, the main explanatory variables attitude on affective and cognitive components. The resultsare discussed regarding the theoretical implications and educational implications regarding the impact that attitudes canhave in promoting this activity.
