Technological development is universally recognized as one of the engines of economic development. This is true at both macroeconomic and microeconomic level. With regard to firms that have a behaviour oriented towards the introduction of innovation, firms that adopt new technologies, there are a number of factors that influence this process. In this paper I will focus on the human factor. The general perception is that these firms encourage their own employees to accept change more easily. The human resource, through its behaviour and attitude, can influence the process of diffusion of technology at the production system level. In order to identify the socio-economic effects of this process, we conducted a case-study exploratory research. At the same time, I also aimed at identifying the perception of the human resource over the behaviour of the management of the organization. This research is intended to be a first step that in the future can lead to a series of recommendations for production systems that aim to adopt new technologies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
