Abstract

The article presents a study regarding the effectiveness of a range of weight management programmes in terms of weight loss. The study recruited 740 men and women with obesity an was subjected to six 12-week commercial and primary care based weight loss programme including Weight Watchers, Slimming World, and Rosemary Conley. Results show that commercially-based weight loss management services are more effective than primary care-based.
