Η προσχολική και πρωτοσχολική ηλικία θεωρούνται από τις πιο κρίσιμες και ευαίσθητες περιόδους στη ζωή ενός παιδιού, καθώς αυτό είναι έτοιμο να ανταποκριθεί σωματικά και συναισθηματικά στα διάφορα ερεθίσματα του περιβάλλοντος. Κατά τη διάρκεια της φοίτησής τους στο νηπιαγωγείο και το δημοτικό σχολείο τα παιδιά αναπτύσσονται σωματικά, γνωστικά, κινητικά, κοινωνικά, γλωσσικά και συναισθηματικά και όλες αυτές οι πτυχές της «ανάπτυξης» φαίνεται να διαμορφώνονται κυρίως μέσα από το παιχνίδι. Το παιδί ως σύνθετος οργανισμός είναι ενταγμένο σε ένα σύστημα αλληλεπιδράσεων οικογένειας, σχολείου, γειτονιάς και κοινωνικών σχέσεων, το οποίο βρίσκεται σε διαρκή εξέλιξη. Το παιχνίδι στην εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία του νηπιαγωγείου και του δημοτικού σχολείου φαίνεται να κατέχει σημαντικό ρόλο στην αλληλεπίδραση των παιδιών, αφού τους δίνει τα εφόδια, ώστε να είναι σε θέση να ανταποκρίνονται με ευελιξία σε ένα ευρύ φάσμα δεξιοτήτων και να καθορίζουν το είδος των σχέσεων με τους συνομηλίκους τους. Σύμφωνα με τη διεθνή βιβλιογραφία το παιχνίδι αποτελεί δικαίωμα κάθε παιδιού, όχημα για τη μάθηση και την ανάπτυξη και βασικό εργαλείο διδασκαλίας και έχει αποτελέσει αντικείμενο συζήτησης πολυάριθμων μελετών τα τελευταία χρόνια.Σκοπός της παρούσας ερευνητικής μελέτης είναι να διερευνηθούν, να αναδειχθούν και να καταγραφούν οι απόψεις εκπαιδευτικών Πρωτοβάθμιας Εκπαίδευσης για το παιχνίδι και την αξιοποίηση της παιγνιώδους προσέγγισης μάθησης στο πλαίσιο της εκπαιδευτικής διαδικασίας του νηπιαγωγείου και του δημοτικού σχολείου. Ειδικότερα, επιδιώκεται να διερευνηθούν με τη βοήθεια ερωτηματολογίων και ημιδομημένων συνεντεύξεων οι απόψεις δασκάλων και νηπιαγωγών για τον ορισμό και το ρόλο του παιχνιδιού στην εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία, τη θέση του παιχνιδιού στα προσχολικά και σχολικά Προγράμματα Σπουδών, τη συμβολή του παιχνιδιού στη γλωσσική, τη λογικομαθηματική, την κοινωνική και την προσωπική ανάπτυξη του παιδιού, την αξιοποίηση των κατηγοριών παιχνιδιού στα προσχολικά και σχολικά περιβάλλοντα, την αξιολόγηση της εκπαιδευτικής διαδικασίας του παιχνιδιού, τα εκπαιδευτικά υλικά παιχνιδιού και για τα κριτήρια επιλογής παιχνιδιών. Ακόμη, αναμένεται να διερευνηθούν οι απόψεις τους για το παιχνίδι στα εσωτερικά και υπαίθρια σχολικά περιβάλλοντα, το ρόλο του εκπαιδευτικού στο παιδικό παιχνίδι, την ποιότητα του παιχνιδιού, το ρόλο της οικογένειας στο παιδικό παιχνίδι, καθώς και για το παιχνίδι και τη σχέση του με ζητήματα διαπολιτισμικότητας και ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων. Στο ερωτηματολόγιο της έρευνάς μας συμμετείχαν N:1508 εκπαιδευτικοί (νηπιαγωγοί και δάσκαλοι) από όλη την Ελλάδα, ενώ στις ημιδομημένες συνεντεύξεις Ν:60 εκπαιδευτικοί (30 δάσκαλοι και 30 νηπιαγωγοί). Υλοποιήθηκε, επίσης, ετήσιο εκπαιδευτικό παρεμβατικό πρόγραμμα για τα συναισθήματα με βάση την παιγνιώδη διδασκαλία σε δημοτικά σχολεία και νηπιαγωγεία της Περιφερειακής Ενότητας της Ηπείρου, προκειμένου να καταγραφεί και να αξιολογηθεί η αλληλεπίδραση των μαθητών προσχολικής και πρωτοσχολικής ηλικίας πριν, κατά τη διάρκεια και μετά το πρόγραμμα παρέμβασης και να γίνει συγκριτική μελέτη των αποτελεσμάτων με τάξεις, στις οποίες ακολουθείται ο παραδοσιακός τρόπος διδασκαλίας και μάθησης. Στο πρόγραμμα συμμετείχαν συνολικά Ν:437 μαθητές νηπιαγωγείου και δημοτικού σχολείου.Τα ερευνητικά δεδομένα που προέκυψαν από το ερωτηματολόγιο και τις ημιδομημένες συνεντεύξεις κατέδειξαν ότι οι εκπαιδευτικοί στην πλειοψηφία τους αναγνωρίζουν τη συμβολή του παιχνιδιού στη μάθηση και την ανάπτυξη των παιδιών, ωστόσο δεν φαίνεται να το αξιοποιούν σε ικανοποιητικό βαθμό ως διδακτικό εργαλείο στο πλαίσιο της εκπαιδευτικής διαδικασίας. Το εν λόγω εύρημα αφορά κυρίως τους εκπαιδευτικούς που διδάσκουν σε δημοτικά σχολεία. Από το εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα παρέμβασης προέκυψε ότι με την εφαρμογή της παιγνιώδους προσέγγισης μάθησης στο πλαίσιο της εκπαιδευτικής διαδικασίας σε νηπιαγωγεία και δημοτικά σχολεία, ενισχύθηκε σημαντικά η αλληλεπίδραση και η κοινωνικο-συναισθηματική μάθηση και ανάπτυξη των παιδιών των πειραματικών ομάδων και των δύο φύλων και όλων των ηλικιών, καθώς και η ατομική και η συλλογική συμμετοχή τους σε δραστηριότητες παιχνιδιού. Οι μαθητές που συμμετείχαν στο εκπαιδευτικό παρεμβατικό πρόγραμμα βελτίωσαν σημαντικά τη συμπεριφορά τους και μείωσαν τις αρνητικές τους αλληλεπιδράσεις κατά τη διάρκεια του ελεύθερου παιχνιδιού. Με την ελπίδα ότι τα ερευνητικά πορίσματα θα αξιοποιηθούν, η μελέτη έχει ως βασική πρόθεση να προσφέρει πληροφορίες και να αποτελέσει κίνητρο για την εφαρμογή της παιγνιώδους προσέγγισης μάθησης στην προσχολική και πρωτοσχολική εκπαίδευση, η οποία αποτελεί μια αποτελεσματική εναλλακτική διδακτική προσέγγιση, να βελτιώσει την ποιότητα της παρεχόμενης εκπαίδευσης και να ωθήσει στη μεγιστοποίηση των μαθησιακών αποτελεσμάτων. Τέλος, η παρούσα ερευνητική μελέτη καθιστά αναγκαία την ουσιαστική επιμόρφωση των εκπαιδευτικών, με βασικό αντικείμενο επιμόρφωσης το παιχνίδι, προκειμένου η παιγνιώδης προσέγγιση μάθησης να ενσωματώνεται περισσότερο στο πρόγραμμα του νηπιαγωγείου και του δημοτικού σχολείου και η διδασκαλία να βασίζεται σε αυτήν. Preschool age and early school years are considered to be of the most critical and sensitive periods in children’s lives, since they have become ready to physically as well as emotionally respond to the various stimuli of the environment. During their schooling into kindergarten and elementary school, children physically, cognitively, kinetically, socially, linguistically grow, and all these aspects of “development” seem to be formed mainly through play. Child, being a complex entity is integrated within a whole system of interactions among the family, the school, the community as well as social relations, all of which are systems that undergo a constant evolution. Play, regarding the educational process of both, kindergarten and elementary school appears to be holding a significant role onto child interaction, since it provides them with the supply appropriate to become capable of flexibly correspond to a wide range of skills as well as to determine the sort of relationships with their peers. Play, according to worldwide literature, comprises every child’s right, as well as the vehicle for learning and development, no less a basic teaching tool, and it has been the object of discourse through numerous studies over the last years. The objective of the current exploratory study is to investigate on, highlight and record the views of Primary Education professionals on play and the utilisation of the approach of play-based learning within kindergarten and elementary school. To specify with, it is sought that, with the assistance of questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, the views of elementary school teachers as well as kindergarten educators are explored regarding the definition and role of play into the educational process, the place it holds within preschool and school Curricula, its contribution into linguistic, logic-mathematical, social and personal development of the child, the utilisation of play categories into preschool and school environments, the evaluation of play-based educational procedure, play learning materials as well as the criteria for selecting forms of play. Furthermore, it is expected that the educationalists’ thoughts about play in both interior and exterior school environments are investigated upon, as well as the role educationalists hold on children’s play, the quality of play, the role of the family in it but also about play and its association with matters of inter-culture and human rights. In the questionnaire of our research N: 1508 educationalists (both, elementary school teachers and kindergarten educators) from all the Greek territory took part, while regarding the semi-structured interviews the participants were N: 60 educationalists (30 elementary school teachers and 30 kindergarten educators). More on this, an annual educational intervention programme was implemented in elementary school and kindergarten facilities at the Region of Epirus, on the purpose of carrying out a monitoring and assessment of preschool and early school aged pupils’ interaction prior to, during and after the intervention programme as well as of conducting a comparative study of the findings with classes in which the traditional way of teaching and learning is being followed. With regards to this programme, N: 437 kindergarten and elementary school pupils in total took part. The exploratory data that have emerged from the questionnaire and the semi-structured interviews testify to the fact that the educationalists by majority do acknowledge the contribution of play into child development and learning, they, however do not seem to utilise it on an adequate level as a teaching tool within the context of the educational process. This specific finding mainly accounts for educationalists who serve at elementary school facilities. From the educational intervention programme it was gathered that with the implementation of play learning approach in the context of the educational process on kindergarten and elementary school, interaction but also socio-emotional learning and development of the children comprising the control groups for both genders and all ages, was significantly enhanced along with their individual as well as collective participation into play activities. Pupils who belonged in the experimental groups and had taken part into the educational intervention programme, to a higher degree improved their behaviour and lessened their negative interactions during free play, in comparison to their peers who had been assigned to the control groups and had been attending the conventional school curriculum in class. Hoping that the exploratory findings shall be utilised, this study bears as its basic intention to provide information and become the incentive for the implementation of play learning approach into preschool and early school education, an approach that truly comprises an alternative teaching manner most effective, as well as the amelioration of the quality of education offered and, finally, to boost the maximisation of the learning outcome. Closing, the hereunto exploratory study necessitates for the substantial re-training of the education workers, with play being the basic re-training issue, in order for play learning approach to be even more incorporated within the kindergarten and elementary school curricula and teaching to be based on play, to a higher degree. 725 σ.

Η εκπαίδευση των παιδιών προσφύγων αποτελεί αναμφίβολα ένα από τα φλέγοντα ζητήματα που καλείται να αντιμετωπίσει η εκπαιδευτική κοινότητα και που ευελπιστούμε ότι θα αναδιαμορφώσει το εκπαιδευτικό τοπίο με νέες πολιτικές και θα δώσει διαπολιτισμικές διαστάσεις στο μέχρι πρότινος παραδοσιακά εθνοκεντρικό σχολείο. Η παρούσα έρευνα επιχειρεί να αποτυπώσει τις εκπαιδευτικές ανάγκες του Νηπιαγωγείου που λειτούργησε για πρώτη φορά τον Οκτώβριο του 2018, εντός του ΚΦΠ Θερμοπυλών Φθιώτιδας και να αναδείξει τα ιδιαίτερα χαρακτηριστικά της συγκεκριμένης εκπαιδευτικής κοινότητας καθώς και να προτείνει παιδαγωγικές δράσεις που θα συμπεριλαμβάνουν την μητρική γλώσσα των παιδιών στην εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία, παράλληλα με την ενίσχυση εκμάθησης της ελληνικής ως δεύτερης ξένης γλώσσας. Τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας έδειξαν ότι η σύζευξη όλων των γλωσσικών ρεπερτορίων της τάξης είναι εφικτό να πραγματοποιηθεί κατά την εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία και με αυτό τον τρόπο να «νομιμοποιηθεί» θα λέγαμε, η χρήση των μητρικών γλωσσών των μαθητών στην παιδαγωγική πράξη. Αυτό που είναι αναγκαίο, είναι η διαμόρφωση μιας διαπολιτισμικής φιλοσοφίας και ο επαναπροσδιορισμός μεθόδων, στόχων και πρακτικών. There is no doubt that the education of child refugees is one of the most heated subjects in Greece right now. The educational community faces great challenges and we expect that this will turn out to be a great opportunity to reevaluate and reform the educational field and enhance it with new intercultural directions, policies, philosophies and goals. This study focuses on a particular kindergarten that was founded last year (2018) by the Greek Ministry of Education, inside the premises of one refugee camp in Central Greece. We tried to shed light to the particular educational needs of this preschool community and to apply an intercultural ten day program to meet those needs. The educational practices and methods took into consideration the mother languages of the students and tried to highlight the importance of the first language (mother tongue/language) during the process of the second language acquisition. The findings of the study revealed the imperative need to push the schools beyond the traditional boundaries and showed that it’s time for education to face the reality of multilingualism and to adopt a mindful perspective of it. 186 σ.
