Abstract

A description of the even-even Hf isotopes for A = 172 - 176 is carried out in the framework of the interacting boson model (IBM-1). The energy levels, B(E2) transition probabilities, electric quadrupole moment QL, and potential energy surface of those nuclei have been calculated. The calculated results are compared with the most recent experimental data. A good agreement for low lying energy states is obtained between experimental results and theoretical calculations. The contour plots of the potential energy surfaces show that the interested nuclei have rotational characters. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Interacting Boson Model (IBM -1) has been used to study the energy levels and transition rates in Ba-Dy () isotones. A simplified Hamiltonian is used which is written in the creation and annihilation form and for each nucleus, by fitting the selected experimental energy levels and transition rates with the calculated ones to get the best model parameters. Using the (IBM) Hamiltonian with an intrinsic state formalism, the potential energy surfaces (PES) for even-even Ba-Dy nuclei have been obtained and the contour plot of PES show that the shape phase transitions from spherical to deformed shape has been determined for the , while Ce, Nd, Sm, Gd and Dy nuclei are deformed and have rotational-like characters. Abstract

The Interacting Boson Model (IBM-1) has been used to calculate the low-lying positive parity yrast bands in 190−198Hg nuclei. The systematic yrast level and electric reduced transition probabilities B(E2)↓ of those nuclei are calculated and compared with the available experimental data. The ratio of the excitation energies of first 4+ and first 2+ excited states, R4/2, is also studied for the O(6) symmetry for these nuclei. Furthermore, as a measure to quantify the evolution, we have studied systematically the yrast level R = EL+1/E2+1 of some of the low-lying quadrupole collective states in comparison to the available experimental data. Moreover, we have studied the systematic B(E2) values, and the moment of inertia as a function of the squared rotational energy for even proton Z = 80 and 110 < N < 118 nuclei indicates the disappearance of back-bending properties. The results of this calculation are in good agreement with the corresponding available experimental data. The analytic IBM-1 calculation of the yrast level and B(E2) values of even-even Hg nuclei is performed in the framework of O(6) symmetry. The contour plot of the potential energy surfaces shows that the nuclei are deformed and have y-unstable-like characters., Модель взаємодiючих бозонiв (МВБ-1) застосовано для розрахунку низьколежачих iраст-смуг з позитивною парнiстю в 190−198Hg ядрах. Систематичний iраст-рiвень i наведенi ймовiрностi електричних переходiв B(E2) ↓ для цих ядер розрахованi i порiвнюються з експериментальними даними. Вивчено вiдношення R4/2 енергiй збудження перших 4+ i 2+ порушених станiв для O(6) симетрiї. Для кiлькiсної характеристики еволюцiї систематично дослiджено iраст-рiвень R = EL+1/E2+1 деяких низьколежачих квадрупольних колективних станiв i проведено порiвняння з експериментом. Визначено систематичнi B(E2) величини. Момент iнерцiї як функцiя квадрата обертальної енергiї ядер з парним числом протонiв Z = 80 i 110 < N < 118 свiдчить про зникнення властивостi зворотного вигину. Результати розрахункiв знаходяться в хорошiй вiдповiдностi з експериментом. Виконано аналiтичний розрахунок iраст-рiвня i B(E2) величин для парно-парних Hg ядер в рамках МВБ-1 i O(6) симетрiї. Графiки поверхонь потенцiальної енергiї показують, що ядра деформованi i y-нестабiльнi.
