Post-cleavable block copolymer is a very important class of materials, especially for the preparation of nanochannel materials. Block copolymers can self-assemble to various nanostructures. By adding specific groups between two blocks, we can obtain the materials we need. Here, we synthesized a block copolymer with acid-cleavable junction. Polyethylene oxide and polymethyl methacrylate with chalcone structure （PEO-Ac-PChal）were synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP). Polymer microparticles with size-controlled single pore was synthesized successfully using seeded emulsion polymerization. The pore size can be changed with relevant parameters. A scanning electron microscope(SEM) was used to characterize their pore size and morphology. Mesoporous SiO2 microspheres were prepared via polymerization induced colloidal aggregation (PICA) method. Particle size of the mesoporous microspheres was about 6 μm. Mesoporous microspheres with various surface morphology and pore structure were obtained via varying the pH and molar ratio of formaldehyde/urea in PICA process. While pH = 1.2 and molar ratio of formaldehyde/urea = 3, the obtained mesoporous SiO2 microspheres had the most uniform pore size distribution and the largest specific surface area. The monodisperse dual temperature/pH-sensitive nanoparticles are prepared by distillation-precipitation polymerization, which use the acrylic acid (AA) and N-Isopropyl acrylamide (NIPAM) as the monomer materials and divinyl benzene (DVB) as the crosslinking agent. The nanoparticles with excellent stability shows good pH responsiveness and temperature sensitivity that can shrink freely in response to acidic environmental stimuli. Magnetic polyurea microspheres (MPUMs) were prepared by one-step precipitation polymerization of isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) with water in the mixed solvent of water and acetone. Pre-prepared monodisperse and magnetic Fe3O4@SiO2nanoparticles were added before polymerization. Then the surface morphologies of MPUMS were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). MPUMs exhibit good recycling stability assisted by the convenient magnetic separation. Therefore, MPUMs can serve as a promising carrier candidate for adsorption of dyes and treating sewage. The composite particles with litchi-like morphologies attributing to the combination of inorganic silica seed and polymer nodules were synthesized successfully using a modified dispersion polymerization method. Dispersion polymerization of styrene was achieved in the presence of silica particles and the formed polystyrene nanoparticles were absorbed onto the surface of silica particles. Monodisperse microsphere has drawn more and more attention in the past two decades. In order to synthesize it, an efficient procedure was employed by combining dispersion and seeding polymerizations together. The polymerization can be divided into two processes: nucleation and growth. Monodisperse polystyrene seed colloids with a diameter of 2 μm were synthesized in the nucleation process using dispersion polymerization, and then the seed colloids were swollen by monomer and further polymerized in the growth process.
