Linking of parental presence during failed resuscitation to the core principles of family-centered care; Debate in the medical care sector over the presence of family during invasive procedures and cardiopulmonary resuscitation; Case of failed resuscitation of an eight-year-old girl who sustained injuries in a vehicular accident; Presence of the girl's mother and father during final but failed resuscitation efforts; Healing, caring and emotional experiences that emerged from interactions between the parents of the girl and the medical team involved.
