The multimetallic sulfur-based nickel resources are rich in nickel, cobalt, copper, and precious metals such as gold, silver, platinum, and palladium, offering significant comprehensive recovery value. Pressure leaching technology can effectively facilitate the dissolution of these metal ions into the solution, laying a foundation for subsequent separation and purification, thereby possessing significant application value in the field of nickel metallurgy. It is very important to study the metallurgical mechanism and multimetallic migration pathways of pressure leaching of multimetallic sulfur-based nickel resources for improving metal recovery, optimizing material balance and promoting technological innovation. In this study, based on industrial practice of pressure leaching applied to a certain nickel sulfide concentrate in Zambia, a high-grade nickel matte in Yunnan, and a sulfur-based nickel slag in Xinjiang, the dissolution characteristics and reaction principle of nickel, cobalt, copper, iron, and other precious metals such as gold, silver, platinum and palladium in the process of pressure leaching were analyzed. The multi-component separation and extraction technology based on pressure leaching was discussed. The aim is to provide data support and theoretical guidance for the design and optimization of pressure leaching process, and promote the efficient, clean and sustainable comprehensive utilization of multimetallic sulfur-based nickel resources.
