Objective: To promote a theoretical reflective analysis of what nursing has to learn and teach to global society in times of OVID-19 pandemic., Methods: Reflective theoretical essay aimed at contributing new knowledge and raising new questions, based on the assumptions of Edgar Morin's complexity thinking, subsidized by readings of texts extracted from electronic databases, as well as speeches by health professionals available in open communication tools., Results: COVID-19 reiterates that the biological warfare of the current pandemic is not fought with nuclear or fire weapons, but with care in its multiple dimensions: physical, emotional, spiritual, family, social, political and economic., Final Considerations: Nursing has to learn and teach global society that its main object of work, care, is related to the expansion of systemic interactions and associations and the capacity to strengthen the interlocution with complex reality.

Objective: To discuss the Nursing Now Campaign and the role of Nursing in times of pandemic by COVID-19., Method: This is a theoretical reflection based on the scientific literature., Results: The pandemic highlights the importance of Nursing care for the maintenance of life and the right to health, and the Nursing Now Campaign is in line with the call for appreciation of nursing professionals currently working at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19. Despite the limitations of structural resources that lead to exposure to illness, nursing professionals maintain their role of caring., Conclusion: It is necessary for Nursing to recognize its own value, add to its continuous learning capacity, and be aware of the social changes that occur. The study contributes to rethinking strategies for valuing Nursing.

Nurses have put themselves in precarious situations by caring for COVID-19 patients. Through the grid of faith, hope, and love as depicted in 1 Corinthians, the author commends the selfless work of nurses and esteems God's faithfulness to nurses who acknowledge him.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to expand worldwide, Taiwan has effectively contained the spread domestically and protected its citizens after registering its first case relatively early on 21 January 2020. Proactive preparedness and deployment by the national government, timely evidence and experience-based judgements and decision-making, information transparency, rapid response, and effective communication and measures have all been critical to combating COVID-19 in Taiwan. Nurses play a pivotal role in providing direct health care as well as providing contact tracing and care for the quarantined clients and community care services. The Taiwan Nurses Association and other nurses' associations serve a vital leadership role in advocating for nurses, raising public awareness, enhancing nursing's professional profile, and sharing experiences via national and international platforms. The implications for nursing and health policy are that we need to well prepare for any unpredicted emerging pandemic in the future. With the daily number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and associated deaths rising exponentially, social fabrics on a global scale are being worn by panic, uncertainty, fear, and other consequences of the health care crisis. Comprising more than half of the global health care workforce and the highest proportion of direct patient care time than any other health professional, nurses are at the forefront of this crisis. Throughout the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, palliative nurses will increasingly exercise their expertise in symptom management, ethics, communication, and end-of-life care, among other crucial skills. The literature addressing the palliative care response to COVID-19 has surged, and yet, there is a critical gap regarding the unique contributions of palliative nurses and their essential role in mitigating the sequelae of this crisis. Thus, the primary aim herein is to provide recommendations for palliative nurses and other health care stakeholders to ensure their optimal value is realized and to promote their well-being and resilience during COVID-19 and, by extension, in anticipation of future public health crises.
