It should be noted that the social, economical and cultural history of the Turks was in generally based on leading nomadic life in the ancient period. It is important to appreciate the place and function of horse and horse-breeding in the Kyrgyz culture in order to understand the cultural life of the Old Turks, since horse plays a great role in all spheres of the Kyrgyz people's social life. This historical fact gave rise to the important stage of the Old Turks culture and civilization and was the constitutive step for a new epoch. The Old Turk horse with its special features as rapidity and fast speed, endurance in starvation and mountainous areas let the Turks spread widely. Being rulers in the field of stock-breeding from old times they created their own system on horse-breeding. At the same time the Turks used the horse as a symbol of representing their culture in relationship with other countries. Since horse became important in social-cultural and economical life of the Kyrgyz people, as well as Turkic people they began to attach great importance to horse's harness.
