The reactions of theβ-chloroethyl derivatives of trivalent phosphorus acids proceed via an ionic intermediate, which, depending on the experimental conditions, is stabilized in the direction of ring closure to give an adduct with a pentacovalent phosphorus atom and the formation of the corresponding unsaturated and (α-methyl-β-nitroethyl)phosphoryl compounds. The liberatedβ-chloroethyl nitrite functions as an oxidizing agent of the startingβ-chloroethyl derivatives of trivalent phosphorus acids.

Bei der Umsetzung des Diethyl-phenyl-phosphits (I) mit dem Nitropropen (II) entstehen die Substanzen (III)-(V) im Verhaltnis 31:36i33, deren Bildungsweisen eingehend diskutiert werden.

Bei der Umsetzung von (I) mit (II) entstehen eine Vielzahl von Verbindungen, die sich mit Hilfe der Kemresonanzund Protonenresonanzspektroskopie und Gasflussigchromatographie identifizieren und quantitativ erfassen lassen.
