Armada nilotica A. Bang-Haas, male specimen is described for the first time and illustration of adult's genitalia are presented. This species is also recorded as new record for the fauna of Iran and diagnosis and description of the newly recorded species are given. Bionomics and distribution of Iranian Armada species are presented and an identification key is provided. The tribe Armadini comprises nine genera worldwide, all found in the arid and semiarid zones. The genus Armada is represented in Iran by seven species: A. heliothidia (Hampson, 1896), A. dentata (Staudinger, 1884), A. nilotica A. Bang-Haas, 1912, A. fletcheri Wiltshire, 1961, A. maritima Brandt, 1939, A. panaceorum (Ménétries, 1848) and A. clio (Staudinger, 1884). Of these, A. Panaceorum and A. clio have wider distribution rang in Iran (the former is widespread throughout Iran) while the remaining species are restricted, in the range, to the arid regions of the south and southeast. The tribe Orthosiini Guenée, 1837, one of the six tribes of Hadeninae subfamily is represented by 17 genera worldwide. Of those, three genera including Orthosia Ochsenheimer, 1816, Perigrapha Lederer, 1857 and Egira Duponchel, 1845 have recorded in Iran. Here, we present a Catalogue of Orthosiini of Iran including 15 species of this tribe with their provincial distribution in Iran. Identification keys for the Iranian species are provided as well. Perigrapha cilissa Püngeler, 1917 is recorded for the first time from Iran. Based on the examination of the materials collected by LED light trap in 2021, from south of Iran (Kerman province), a rare moth species belonging to Xyleninae subfamily (Lepidoptera, Noctuidae), Rhiza stenoptera (Boursin), is newly recorded for the country. The external and the genital characters of this species are presented and compared with its close relatives, R. schlumbergeri (Püngeler), collected from Sistan-va-Balouchestan province, Iran and R. commoda, a widely distributed species in the Palearctic region. Notes on the bionomic and distribution of R. stenoptera are given. The taxonomic position of Pseudohadena Alphéraky, s. l. has been changed through the time with the increase of the materials described mainly collected from Central Asia which was resulted in erecting the Pseudohadenina Ronkay & Fibiger, 2007. An inclusive catalogue of Pseudohadenina of Iran is presented. Beside the citation of first description, the distribution range of the members of this subtribe is given worldwide. A noctuid species, Eucoptocnemis tischendorfi (Püngeler, 1915) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), is first reported for the fauna of Iran and the female of Brachygalea miskoi Ronkay, 1997 is first described. Adults including genitalia of both species are illustrated. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
