Cancer therapy has undergone a drastic revolution in the past few decades with the introduction of several novel therapies, like immunotherapy (active and passive), stem cell-based therapies, and nanocarrier-based therapies. These therapies have addressed the issues of conventional cancer therapy (chemotherapy or radiotherapy), like specificity and off-target effects. Further, the introduction of such treatments has improved survival and converted a terminal disease into a more manageable condition. However, many clinical, ethical, and regulatory issues are raised with such novel additions. Several effective therapies are under research but could not come to market or are delayed due to regulatory concerns for marketing approval. The scope of this review encompasses the examination of these regulatory issues and discuss their possible solutions. A practical and flexible regulatory approach, harmonized globally, could help the patients suffering from a terminal illness to lead a quality life., (© 2022. Monoacylglycerol is a metabolic key serine hydrolase engaged in the regulation of the signalling network system of endocannabinoids, which is associated with various physiological processes like pain, inflammation, feeding cognition, and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. The monoacylglycerol was also found to act as a regulator and the free fatty acid provider in the proliferation of cancer cells as well as numerous aggressive tumours such as colorectal cancer, neuroblastoma, and nasopharyngeal carcinoma. It also played an important role in increasing the concentration of specific lipids derived from free fatty acids like phosphatidic acid, lysophosphatidic acid, sphingosine-1-phosphate, and prostaglandin E2. These signalling lipids are associated with cell proliferation, survival, tumour cell migration, contribution to tumour development, maturation, and metastases. Background: Despite significant advancement in oncology research, cancer still poses one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide. The increased incidences of cancer may be attributed to the limited efficacy and disastrous side effects of conventional therapies like chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery. Azole containing medicinal agents are known for plethora of medicinal properties, including anticancer potential., Objective: In this review, we highlighted azole containing natural products with anticancer potential from marine sources., Methods: A comprehensive literature search was performed for writing the review. Updated views about various marine sponges, cyanobacteria, tunicates and microalgae producing azole nucleus containing secondary metabolites with anticancer potential have been discussed., Results: The present article describes the structural, chemical, and biological features of azoles containing natural agents from marine sources with promising anti-cancer potential. Background: In spite of major technological advances in conventional therapies, cancer continues to remain the leading cause of mortality worldwide. Phytochemicals are gradually emerging as a rich source of effective but safer agents against many life-threatening diseases., Methods: Various phytochemicals with reported anticancer activity have been simply categorized into major phytoconstituents- alkaloids, polyphenols, saponins, tannins and terpenoids., Results: The adverse effects associated with currently available anticancer medications may be overcome by using plant-derived compounds either alone or in combination. Exploration of plant kingdom may provide new leads for the accelerated development of new anticancer agents., Conclusion: Although numerous potent synthetic drugs have been introduced for cancer chemotherapy, yet their serious toxicity concerns to normal cells apart from drug resistance have emerged as the major obstacles for their clinical utility over a prolonged duration of time.
