This document describes the technical specification regardingthe development, modification, analysis, and 2exchange of CAD data within provision of services related to the supply of MITICA components.3The CAD requirements are detailed in the document considering the CAD environment and the reference 4documentation. These requirements ranges from delivery of CAD Supplier Package that allows a standalone 5partner to work in an ITER environment, to definition of CAD data exchange and sharing conditions, to 6preparation of the CAD data package, identification of rules for CAD design, execution of data analysis, 7preparation of drawings, transfer of the CAD data package.

This document represents deliverable T4.9/P1.1 of the NBTF Workprogramme 2018. The design and technical specifications of the electrostatic and thermo-mechanical sensor prototypes for MITICA beamline components are reported, along with a simulation of thermal measurements expected along the beam line.

This progress report contains the 3D CAD package of the MITICA beamline components (BLCs) developed under WP2016. This CAD development is part of the technical specification for the procurement of the three MITICA BLCs [1]. The CAD models are available in the compressed file "T4.3_P3_RFX_MITICA_CD_004 _BLC_CAD_r1.7z" that is attached within the present document. This version of the CAD models has been prepared by Consorzio RFX considering iterations and reviews of procurement documents carried out during 2016 with F4E and IO.

In this report the description o f the design improvements on the vacuum enclosure and signal feedthroughs are presented for sensors embedded in the beamline components of the MITICA injector. The presented solutions are proposed to fix the discovered issues and to improve the design befo re finalisation of CAD models.

Separate deliverables of WP2015 have been produced for the other documents developed for BLCs procurement. This is a version prepared by Consorzio RFX and still requiring revision by F4E and IO and completion. Revisions and iterative process for document finalization are foreseen during 2016.

This document is conceived to assess in detail the loads experienced by the ceramic post insulators on the MITICA BS accelerator structure i n different conditions: Normal operation, installation with handling equipment and transportation. The FEM structural analyses are reported.

The ITER Neutral Beam Test Facility (PRIMA) is plan ned to be built at Consorzio RFX (Padova, Italy). PRIMA includes two experimental devices: an ITER-si ze ion source with low voltage extraction called SPIDER and the prototype of the ITER Heating Neutra l Beam Injector (HNB) called MITICA. The purpose of MITICA is to demonstrate that all th e operational parameters of the ITER HNB accelerato r can be experimentally achieved with reasonable marg in, thus establishing a large step forward in the performances of neutral beam injectors in compariso n with the present experimental devices. The design of the MITICA accelerator, here describe d in detail, has been developed in order to satisfy with reasonable margin all the operational requirements of the ITER HNB. An integrated approach, taking int o consideration at the same time physics and engineer ing aspects, has been adopted throughout the design process. Particular care has been applied also to s upporting and validating the design on the basis of the expertise and experimental data made available by t he neutral beam laboratories of CEA, IPP, CCFE, NIF S and JAEA. The aim of this report is to finalize the design of the MITICA accelerator, by comparing the design co ncepts that were found to be the best performing from prev ious analyses and choose the most suitable one to b e adopted in the MITICA experiment. An optimization p rocess is set up by developing subsequent design solutions through discussion and comparisons of the results of simulations, taking into account the advantages and drawbacks of the different design ch oices. This report presents a the studies on differ ent possible geometries and magnetic configurations for the MITICA accelerator carried out during 2014.
