This article analyzes the perceptions of health teams concerning Peruvian and Bolivian migrant women living in the city of Cordoba, Argentina. The research consisted of a qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive study based on 12 in-depth, semi-structured interviews. It documents various health teams' views regarding the two migrant groups as well as their opinions about the factors that influence the women's access to and use of public health systems during pregnancy and childbirth. The article emphasizes the importance of incorporating a historical, political, and cultural approach to migrant health care that can recover migrants' individual histories and their specific needs in terms of health care access and cultural practices. This article addresses the interrelationships between the economic crisis, international migration and the labour market, and their impact on female migration agency, both in the decision to migrate and in the subsequent possibility of return to Bolivia. Based on information collected in a large survey conducted in the city of Cochabamba and the tracing of multiple female migration trajectories, the extreme vulnerability of these women, who are the heads of single-parent households, working in elderly care in Bergamo, is shown. Despite their deteriorating working conditions in the context of current Italian economic crisis and the competition of immigrant care workers from countries of Eastern Europe, they choose to remain in Italy instead of returning to Bolivia. Based on an analysis of the urban experience of Bolivian migrants in Buenos Aires, the article problematizes habitual ways of thinking about the relations among territory, difference and inequality: the racial ghetto and the poor periphery. The articlepaper highlights the impossibility of understanding these processes on a unidimensional plane, and emphasizes the relevance of intersections of class, nationality, gender and "race" in the structuring and use of urban space. For this purpose, it analyzes not only the position and geographic location of migrants but also the logic of their circulation and social interactions within the space of the city, which both reproduce and challenge the frontiers that structure urban life. BOLIVIANS , *SOCIAL networks , *IMMIGRANTS , *SOCIAL history ,ARGENTINIAN economy - Abstract
Over the past decades, geography and geographers have studied migration processes on the basis of binary oppositions, such as expulsion causes-attraction features, expulsion areas -target areas, basing themselves, largely, on the analysis of statistical data obtained from official sources. Over time, the characteristics of contemporary international migrations, have revealed that these epistemological positions are insufficient to meet the daily reality of migrants due to their markedly ethnocentric slant. Social networks constitute, nowadays, one theoretical and methodological approach that can be applied to the field of geography and which deals with this problematics as a fundamentally social phenomenon, comprising the microsocial context in which the migrant is inserted. The analysis of relational reciprocity may help us unravel the complex web of networks that are made up between the socio- economic processes and the territorial dynamics of migrants, who are capable of building transnational spaces along time. This is the case of the Bolivian people that settled in the Río Colorado Valley, province of Buenos Aires. The analysis of the narratives obtained from a field work in which Bolivian residents in the town of Hilario Ascasubi have been interviewed, has yielded preliminary results that show the existence of social support networks that stamp their particular style to the surrounding environment. Not only have social networks helped the process of adaptation of immigrants, but they also favoured the continuity of displacement and the formation of transnational social spaces that reflect socio-spatial transformations in the local environment. Migration provoke changes in epidemiological profiles impinging on the health care systems of reception countries. Immigrants come to Brazil from neighbor countries usually having precarious insertion in metropolitan areas. Chagas disease is endemic in Bolivia, something that has to be taken into account by the SUS. This paper analyzes both action and limits regarding health professionals who provide services to Bolivians in SUS with a focus on Chagas disease. Interviews were applied to primary, secondary and tertiary health services in the central region of São Paulo, the main destination of Bolivian immigrants. The precarious living conditions of Bolivians are the cause of health inequities. Language and culture also hamper their understanding about care. There is a lack of knowledge about clinic and epidemiology aspects of Chagas disease among the professionals who attend these immigrants. It is necessary to rethink strategies of health care and control of Chagas disease.

During the boom of the nitrate cycle, Antofagasta Region showed an economic and demographic growth higher than the national mean. In this process, it received a strong Latin American migration flow. Women were a significant part of this immigration contingent. We are interested in highlighting four aspects of the presence of Peruvian, Bolivian, and Argentinian women, which are related to regional society: a) Marriage patterns indicating the extent of exogamy or endogamy of the studied groups; b) Geographic origin of female migrants in the zone studied; c) Their main occupation and forms of integration in the labor market; d) Family structures, through the identification of migrant family groups and the way the migrant process occurred.

Thispaper focuses on the analysis of the demographic flows from Bolivia to the city of Antofagasta during the apogee of the nitrate cycle between 1880 and 1930. So, the personal records of the Bolivian contingent establishing in the capital city of Antofagasta province are studied, based on historical files of the Civil Registration Office. The Bolivian situation is studied in order to appreciate the factors that made migration possible from various geographic areas, along with the conditions of Antofagasta city during thatperiod. The analysis of documents allows differentiating the contributions of each Bolivian department, gender, age, social capital, and the periods in which these flows occurred, together with determining that Bolivians establishing in Antofagasta were mainly Spanish or European descendants.
