Metastasis of renal cell carcinomas to the oral cavity is extremely rare. Here, we present a 77-year-old male patient with clear cell renal cell carcinoma metastasis in the mandible bone and discuss the differential diagnosis of primary and metastatic tumors in the head and neck region. Renal hücreli karsinom yetişkinlerde görülen böbrek tümörlerinin en yaygın formudur. Böbrek hücrelerinin adeno karsinomu veya hipernefroma olarak adlandırılır. Çoğunlukla %60 oranında görülen tipi clear cell karsinomadır. En sık 50-60 yaş arasında görülür. Deri metastazları oldukça nadirdir fakat görüldüğünde prognozun kötü olduğunu ve lezyonun sistemik yayılımının olduğunu göstermektedir. Göğüs cerrahi kliniğinde görülen hastada, skalpte frontal bölgede kanamalı büyük bir kitle bulunmakta idi. Hastanın Renal hücreli karsinom nedeniyle 3 yıl önce sağ böbreği alınmıştı. Enfeksiyon hastalıkları kliniğinde pnömoni tedavisi almış fakat düzelme olmayınca göğüs cerrahi kliniğine biyopsi için yatırılmıştı. Yapılan biyopsiden renal hücreli karsinom tanısı almıştı. Hasta Dermatoloji ve Plastik cerrahi kliniğine frontal bölgedeki lezyon nedeniyle konsülte edildi. Pyojenik granülom ön tanısıyla eksizyon yapıldı. Patolojik tanı renal hücreli karsinom metastazı olarak geldi. Renal hücreli karsinomun sıklıkla akciğerler, kemik, deri, karaciğer ve beyne metastaz yaptığı literatürde gösterilmektedir. Bu hastalarda prognoz oldukça kötüdür. Hasta şifa ile taburcu edildi fakat yakınlarından alınan bilgiye göre hastaneden çıktıktan 3 ay sonra eksitus olduğu öğrenildi.

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is the most common primary malignant tumor of renal parenchyma. RCC metastases most commonly occur in the lung, liver, bone, brain, lymp nodes, and contralateral kidney. Adrenal gland metastasis from renal cell carcinoma is generally ipsilateral, and frequently clinically and functionally silent. Synchronous bilateral adrenal gland metastases from RCC are very rare, and 18 other cases were reported in the literature. In this article, we aimed to present a case of bilateral synchronous adrenal metastases from left kidney RCC in a 58-year-old man with radiologic findings and review the literature. Renal cell carcinoma is one of the most common tumours after lung and breast cancer to metastasize to the head and neck. Initial presentation by tongue metastasis is extremely rare. A 67-year-oldmale presented with a 4.8 cm mass on his tongue. The result of the punch biopsy from the tongue was diagnosed as a clear cell variant of squamous cell carcinoma. The biopsy was reevaluated due to the renal mass found during the check-up and the rapid enlargement of the mass. The excision of the tongue mass and the radical nephrectomy material confirmed the diagnosis of a metastatic renal cell carcinoma in the tongue and renal cell carcinoma in the kidney. Since metastasis of renal cell carcinoma to the tongue is uncommon it may cause difficulties in diagnosis and proper management. Renal cell carcinoma metastatic to the urinary bladder is a rare entity. Few cases of renal cell carcinoma with solitary synchronous metastasis to the urinary bladder have been reported. We report a case of renal cell carcinoma with solitary synchronous metastasis to the urinary bladder. A new metastasis developed in the right adrenal gland at the 24th month, and was resected. The patient is alive without any new recurrences or metastasis 36 months after the initial diagnosis. The follow up duration of our case is the longest of published cases. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Renal cell carcinoma is the most common form of renal tumors in adults. So called adenocarcinoma of renal cells or hypernephroma. The most common type is clear cell carcinoma in 60% of cases. It is most common between the ages of 50 and 60. Skin metastases are very rare, but when seen, they show poor prognosis and systemic spread of the lesion. There was a large mass with a hemorrhage in the frontal region of the scalp in the patient seen in the thoracic surgery clinic. The patient had renal cell carcinoma and the right kidney was removed 3 years ago. He received pneumonia treatment in the infectious diseases clinic, but he was admitted to the thoracic surgery clinic for biopsy when there was no improvement. Renal cell carcinoma diagnosis was taken for the biopsy done. The dermatology and plastic surgery clinic was consulted for lesions in the frontal region. Excision was performed with an initial diagnosis of pyogenic granuloma. Pathological diagnosis came as renal cell carcinoma metastasis. Lung, bone, skin, liver, and brain metastases of renal cell carcinoma is often shown in the literature. Prognosis is poor in these patients. The patient was discharged with healing, but according to the report from his relatives, he died 3 months after leaving the hospital. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Renal cell carcinoma is one of the common malignancies. Even after many years of treatment of renal cell carcinoma, metastasis to the distant organs may be seen. Here we present 52 years-old male patient with renal cell carcinoma metastasis to the thyroid gland 2.5 years after nephrectomy and discussed the differential diagnosis of the primary thyroid lesions with clear cell features.
