Abstract

The article focuses on several challenges of homelessness and uncertain housing conditions in rural areas in Canada owing to the lack of sufficient services to support people especially people with mental health and addiction issues. Topics include lack of transportation infrastructure, shortage of mental health care services, and integrated housing projects and affordable housing with government aid. Efforts of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) is noted.

Topics include supportive treatment services for homeless people with mental health issues and substance abuse, affordable housing schemes, housing shortages, and homelessness in Canada among mentally disabled. Several challenges of the program is noted.
