Background: Sub-health status (SHS) is an intermediate status between health and disease. We aimed to investigate the prevalence of sub-health status among college students during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic and analyze its influencing factors in order to provide basic information to increase the health level of college students. Methods: College students were selected as subjects from Guangzhou Baiyun Technician College Business using convenience sampling. The inclusion criteria was informed consent, current college students who voluntarily participated in this survey. Exclusion criteria were students with chronic diseases or mental disorders. General data questionnaire, daily lifestyle questionnaire, and SHS measurement scale were used to survey college students. The SHS measurement scale consists of three subscales covering the physiological (1-14 items), psychological (16-27 items), and social (29-37 items) dimensions, with 39 items in total. The items 15, 28, 38 and 39 were used for the overall evaluation of the health status within each dimension and would not be taken into account for the score rating. A commonly used 5-point Likert scale was developed to incorporate the positive items, including questions 1-3, 13-19, and 26-39 with a scaled score equal to the raw score at 1-5; while negative items including questions 4-12 and 20-25 with a scaled score equal to 6 minus the raw score. For each subscale, the sum of all item scores was the raw score. The total raw score was calculated as the sum of raw scores derived from all 3 sub-scales. For any individual dimension, a lower score indicated higher severity of SHS. For sub-scales and the whole scale, raw scores were converted into percentile scores for statistical analysis. Converted score = (raw score - minimum theoretical score) / (maximum theoretical score – minimum theoretical score) × 100. The highest and lowest converted scores of the three subscales were 0 and 100 respectively. In this study, analysis of sub-health was performed using converted scores for all subscales and the whole scale. Based on the sub-health measurement scale, the health condition of subjects would be assessed as disease status (scored < 54), SHS (scored 54 to 79) and health status. From March 6 to 16, 2020, an online survey was conducted via wjx.cn (an online platform available for questionnaire sources). A total of 16,163 students filled out the questionnaire. Results: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the detected prevalence of sub-health among college students was 64.4%.the total SHS score was 73.356 ± 11.115 points, the physiological SHS score was 81.284 ± 11.034 points, the psychological SHS score was 68.691 ± 12.559 points, and the social SHS score was 67.242 ± 17.112 points. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that eating irregular meals, exercising fewer times per week, sleeping fewer hours per night, sleeping after 11 PM more often, spending more time on electronic devices, exercising for fewer minutes each time, and skipping breakfast had the significant negative impact on the SHS scores of college students during the COVID-19 pandemic (PConclusions: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the detected prevalence of sub-health was high among college students. Society and schools should pay more attention to the health of college students during the COVID-19 pandemic and take pertinence action to solve the problem base on influencing factors.

PURPOSE: This study aimed to investigate sub-health status (SHS) of people living in China during the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 is a severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) infection-induced acute infectious disease, which is featured by universal susceptibility and strong infectivity, and SHS (a status of low quality health) refers to a status of low-quality health. COVID-19 has gradually developed into a global pandemic, making the public in a high stress situation in physiological, psychological and social states in the short term. METHODS: From March 6 to 11, 2020, a large-scale cross-sectional survey was conducted by convenient sampling, and SHS assessment scale was used in the questionnaire. The ordinal logistic regression analysis was used to identify the factors affecting SHS. RESULTS: In this study, 17,078 questionnaires were delivered with 16,820 effective questionnaires collected, and 10,715 subjects (63.7%) were found with SHS, with moderate SHS primarily. Physiological sub-scale scored the highest, followed by psychological and social sub-scales. Ordinal logistic regression analysis indicated that man, only-child, workers and farmers were risk factors of SHS. Protective factors of SHS included living in rural areas and townships, laid-off retirees and education degree. CONCLUSION: It shows many people in China place in a poor health status during COVID-19 pandemic. It is necessary that relevant departments pay more attention to people with poor health such as men, only-child, urban people, workers and farmers, and groups with high education degree during and after pandemic stabilization.

Background: Patients with Acinetobacter baumannii bloodstream infection (ABBI) have a poor prognosis and high mortality. Early identification of risk factors for death in patients with ABBI, and appropriate prevention and control measures are extremely important to reduce the mortality. Objective: To systematically evaluate the risk factors of ABBI, which provide evidence for reducing the incidence and mortality of patients. Methods: The published articles and reference works on prognosis risk factors in patients with ABBI were retrieved from inception to January 2021 in the following databases: PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, CNKI, Wanfang and VIP. Those studies that met the inclusion criteria were perform quality evaluation and data analysis. Meta-analysis was performed by the statistical software Stata13.0. Objective: To assess the application effect analysis of nurse's equipment management standardized in ICU equipment management. Method: This study included 56 related medical staffs who are working in ICU department and they used the medical equipment in their working. the data of 2018 was defined as control group, that the medical equipment was receive common management methods in 2018. In intervention group, we collected related data in 2019, that the medical equipment was receive nurse's equipment management standardized in this year, the intervention contrasts Standardize management, set up instrument management team, formulate instrument management system, instrument maintenance and repair system, instrument training system, and regularly organize study and training for all staff in the ward. We evaluated the differences between the two groups in terms of instrument repair rate, instrument maintenance cost, nursing staff's mastery of instrument and equipment skills, instrument maintenance quality, instrument and equipment maintenance rate, and instrument management mode satisfaction. Result: In terms of the frequency and cost of instrument and equipment maintenance, the frequency and cost of maintenance are both higher than the standard management, and the results are statistically significant. In the survey results of instrument and equipment standard management, except maintenance efficiency, the other data are statistically significant. The p value of nursing staff's satisfaction with instrument and equipment skills, instrument maintenance quality, instrument and equipment maintenance, the p-value instrument management mode was all less than 0.005, the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion: Standardized management of ICU equipment can reduce equipment failure rate and maintenance cost.

Objective: By evaluating the relationship between deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in intensive care unit (ICU) non-surgical patients and Caprini venous thromboembolism risk assessment model (Caprini model for short), the predictive value of Caprini model in ICU non-surgical patients was analyzed. Methods: 200 ICU non-surgical inpatients in the first affiliated hospital of Jinan university from April to September 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. General data of patients and the number of new DVT events were collected, and Caprini model was used for scoring the risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE). Results: There were 31 patients with DVT, accounting for 15.50%, and 169 patients without new DVT (non-DVT). Background: Catheter failure means that the arterial catheter loses its original real-time and accurate function of monitoring the blood pressure due to various causes, such as blockage, buckling, displacement of the catheter, edema, bleeding, and oozing of the punctured limb requiring catheter removal. However, there have been few studies about the catheter failure and its related influencing factors. The present study aims to explore the status and influencing factors of failed ultrasound-guided invasive arterial catheterization in ICU patients. Methods: 264 patients who underwent ultrasound-guided invasive arterial catheterization from January 2019 to December 2019 were analyzed retrospectively to observe the status and failure of the arterial catheterization. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS22.0 software. Results: Among the 264 cases with invasive arterial catheterization, 59 cases had catheter failure, the incidence was 22.34%. Background This study aimed to examine the one-year incidence and persistence of excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) in rural Chinese adolescents and their risk factors. In addition, we also aimed to explore the potential bidirectional associations of EDS with anxiety symptoms and depressive symptoms. Methods A total of 3736 adolescents from 5 high schools from rural area in the south China were eligible for follow-up. Among them, 2787 responded to follow-up after one year. EDS was defined as having a total score of the Epworth Sleepiness Scale over 10. Results The one-year persistence rate and incidence rate of EDS were 27.6% and 9.3%, respectively. After controlling for age and sex, new incident EDS was significantly associated with perceived high study stress, depressive symptoms, insomnia symptoms, and high life events at baseline. Baseline EDS predicted new onsets of depression and anxiety at follow-up. Cross-lagged analyses further revealed that there were bidirectional associations between EDS and anxiety symptom and between EDS and depressive symptoms. Persistent EDS was only associated with eveningness chronotype. In particular, short sleep duration and obesity were associated with neither new incidence nor persistence of EDS in this population. Limitations All measures relied on self-reported questionnaires rather than objective assessments, which might have led to report bias. Conclusions We have identified a number of risk factors of the one-year incidence of EDS (such as perceived high study stress, depressive symptoms, insomnia symptoms, and high life events) and persistence of EDS (eveningness chronotype) in rural adolescents. There is a reciprocal relationship of EDS with anxiety and depression. In this population, sleep loss and obesity seem not related to the course of EDS.
