The CARe Burn Scales are a portfolio of burn-specific PROMs for people affected by burns, including a Child Form (for children &lt, 8 years (parent-proxy)), a Young Person Form (for young people aged 8–17 years), an Adult Form, and a Parent Form (for parents/carers of children aged 0–17 years). This study aimed to determine the responsiveness and minimal important difference (MID) values of the three scales developed for use in paediatric burn services and research. Participants were recruited by 15 UK Burn Services. Participants completed the appropriate CARe Burn Scale and a set of appropriate comparison validated measures, at three time points: 4 weeks (T1), 3 months (T2) and 6 months (T3) post-burn injury. Spearman’s correlation analysis and effect sizes based on Cohen’s d thresholds were reported and MID values were calculated. At baseline, 250 participants completed the Child Form, 69 completed the Young Person Form, and 320 completed the Parent Form. A total of 85–92% of participants were retained at follow up. The tested CARe Burn Scales were all responsive to change over time. MID values were created for all subscales and ranged from 2 to 11 for the Child Form, 3 to 14 for the Young Person Form and 3 to 10 for the Parent Form. The CARe Burn Scales for children, young people and parents are responsive to change over time. The scales are freely available for clinical and research use.

Early initiation of breastfeeding is an effort to provide colostrum which is rich protective factors. This study aimed to determine the effect of early initiation of breastfeeding on breastmilk volume. This research use quasi experimental. The results showed that the Mann-Whitney test obtained a value of p=0.000 < of α=0.05, there was an effect on breastmilk volume in mothers who did early initiation of breastfeeding. Implementation of early initiation of breastfeeding in case group was 100% otherwise not done in control group, the duration 64% hasn’t been standardized, the breastmilk volume on the third day after early breastfeeding initiation was categorized sufficient (56%) and a lot 40%, which was not 76% breastmilk volume is lacking, there is a difference on breastmilk volume in mothers who have early initiation of breastfeeding and do not have. There is an effect on breastmilk production. It is expected that the role of midwives in providing information to mothers before giving birth about the importance of early breasfeeding initiation. It is expected that midwives will emphasize more on the duration of skin to skin contact, according to minimum standards of 1 hour, Rumkit Tk II Prof. Dr. J.A. Latumeten is expected to do early initiation of breastfeeding as a fixed procedure in the maternity room.

Diabetes melitus type 2 is one of the non contagious chronic disease that the number of it patient continue to rise over the time in Indonesia. Fundamentally, this disease cannot be healed but could be managed to prevent complications. Patient with diabetes melitus type 2 frequently got limitations in their work such as discrimination at their workplace, risk of decreased productivity, and increased absence on their treatment. Those things are affecting to the most of the patient that have more than 45 years of age and they are on the top of their career. This research has an objective to get an overview of stress and their strategy of cope with it because stress has a major impact to their health condition. This research use qualitative approach with the purposive sampling. The characteristics of this research are patient with diabetes melitus type 2 disease, has 41 to 60 years of age who has done the self-care, and work in Jakarta. Result shows that participants suffer stress from the treatment of the disease although their performance productivity does not decrease. Participants use the strategy of combining problem focused coping mostly planful problem solving type and emotion focused coping such as seeking social support to manage their stress level.

Se describen las diferentes aplicaciones que puede tener la versión argentina de la escala Vocal Tract Discomfort (VTD), herramienta de autovaloración de síntomas o sensaciones que pueden presentarse en sujetos con alteraciones de la voz o en riesgo de presentarlas. Esta herramienta ha sido adaptada de su versión original en inglés y validada al español argentino para su utilización en detección de sujetos en riesgo vocal, para complementar el diagnóstico subjetivo y objetivo de la voz, para monitorear las sensaciones del paciente en la terapéutica y para poder comparar y discutir con resultados de investigaciones en diferentes países del mundo; donde también ha sido validada para su uso clínico e investigativo.

This thesis aims to know the completed learning results of students after the study model of Course Review Horay applied to the science subjects of grade IV SD Negeri Bangunrejo. The research method used by quasy-experiment. Data collection techniques in research use tests and interviews. Data analysis techniques with steps: average score and standard deviation, normality test and z test. The results showed the results of studying the IPA of grade IV students of SD Negeri Bangunrejo after the Course Review Horay model was significantly completed.

While fecal incontinence and constipation can be measured through physiological testing, the subjective experience of severity and impact on health-related quality of life lead to both being most effectively captured through patient-reported measures. Patient-reported measures of severity and impact help to determine baseline symptoms, guide clinical decision making, and compare various treatments. Here, we take pause to review the psychometric qualities that make effective instruments, and discuss some of the most commonly used instruments along with the reasons behind their use. In addition, we highlight the benefits of a standardized instrument designed to evaluate the major symptoms of patients presenting with pelvic floor disorders (including fecal incontinence and constipation). Ultimately, we aim to provide guidance in choosing appropriate instruments for clinical and research use.

Stunting (dwarf) is a condition where toddlers have a length or height that is less than age. This condition is measured by size or size which is more than minus two median, standard deviations of the child growth standard of the WHO. Stunting toddlers include chronic nutrition problems caused by many factors such as socio-economic conditions, maternal nutrition during pregnancy, pain in infants, and lack of nutritional intake in infants. The type of research use is pre – experimental with one group design pretest posttest design where the design is no control group. The population of this studi were children who ages under 59 month. Technique samping uses probability sampling with purposive sampling method. Weight measurements were carried out before and after the supplementary food intervention, during the supplementary food intervention and keeping in mind the energy and protein consumption of food other than the supplementary food. he results showed that changes in weight status of children under five according to age indicated that there was a change in weight status of children, namely 2 children became malnourished and 13 others were still in the category of acute malnutrition. The results showed that there were differences in the Weight for Age (WAZ) index status before and after complementary foods.

Despite broad support for hydroxyurea (HU) therapy, suboptimal adherence is reported for youth with sickle cell disease. Valid adherence measurement is crucial to understanding the relationship between medication behavior, disease response, and patient-centered health outcomes. The current pilot study examined the feasibility of the Wise electronic device for longitudinal HU adherence measurement in a sample of 36 youths prescribed HU. The study also explored the association between HU adherence, as measured by the Wise device, with other adherence measures (ie, family report, lab values, pill count, and medication possession ratio). A measure of family-reported acceptability was also completed. Overall, results supported the feasibility of the Wise device (rate of consent=82%, device use=75%, device failure=3%) for HU adherence measurement and most families rated their experience using their device positively (favorable responses ranged from 67% to 100%). Associations between HU adherence, as measured by the Wise device, and other adherence measures were not significant. Overall, the feasibility was supported. The Wise device allows longitudinal measurement of adherence with HU from initiation as a young child (ie, with liquid formulations) through adolescence and provides a novel means of adherence measurement for both clinical and research use.

ABSTRAC When pregnant mothers should eat foods that contain nutritional value of high quality does not mean expensive food. Nutrition at the time of pregnancy should be increased up to 300 calories per day (Walyani,2015:88). Compared to the mother is not pregnant, the need for the mother will increase protein 68%, folic acid 100%, calcium 50%, and iron 200-300% (Sukarni,2013:115. The purpose of this research is to know the knowledge difference of pregnant women about the nutritional needs of pregnant women before and after the counseling in the village Joho Wates District Kediri Regency. This research uses experimental methods. The population of all expectant mothers in the village of Joho Wates District Kediri 18 people. Sampling techniques use a total sampling. The variables of this research use in this study, free variables are counseling about nutritional needs in pregnant women. In this study, a bound variable is the knowledge of pregnant women about nutritional needs in pregnant women. Therefore, more active health officers are expected to provide counseling. Based on the results of the analysis Ha received which means there is a difference in the knowledge of pregnant women about nutritional needs in pregnant women before and after counseling. The results of the statistical test conducted by SPSS with the formula Wilcoxon Match Pairtest on 18 respondents calculated using the computer showed a Z value of-3,740 with a signification value (σ) of 0.000 (σ ≤ 0.05).

Too many pre-clinical experiments are giving results which cannot be reproduced. This may be because the experiments are incorrectly designed. In “Completely randomized” (CR) and “Randomised block” (RB) experimental designs, both the assignment of treatments to experimental subjects and the order in which the experiment is done, are randomly determined. These designs have been used successfully in agricultural and industrial research and in clinical trials for nearly a century without excessive levels of irreproducibility. They must also be used in pre-clinical research if the excessive level of irreproducibility is to be eliminated. A survey of 100 papers involving mice and rats was used to determine whether scientists had used the CR or RB designs. The papers were assigned to three categories “Design acceptable”, “Randomised to treatment groups”, so of doubtful validity, or “Room for improvement”. Only 32 ± 4.7% of the papers fell into the first group, although none of them actually named either the CR or RB design. If the current high level of irreproducibility is to be eliminated, it is essential that scientists engaged in pre-clinical research use “Completely randomised” (CR), “Randomised block” (RB), or one of the more specialised named experimental designs described in textbooks on the subject.

ObjectiveThe success of treatment planning relies critically on our ability to predict the potential benefit of a therapy. In colorectal cancer (CRC), several nomograms are available to predict different outcomes based on the use of tumour specific features. Our objective is to provide an accurate and explainable prediction of the risk to die within 10 years after CRC diagnosis, by incorporating the tumour features and the patient medical and demographic information.DesignIn the prostate, lung, colorectal and ovarian cancer screening (PLCO) Trial, participants (n=154 900) were randomised to screening with flexible sigmoidoscopy, with a repeat screening at 3 or 5 years, or to usual care. We selected patients who were diagnosed with CRC during the follow-up to train a gradient-boosted model to predict the risk to die within 10 years after CRC diagnosis. Using Shapley values, we determined the 20 most relevant features and provided explanation to prediction.ResultsDuring the follow-up, 2359 patients were diagnosed with CRC. Median follow-up was 16.8 years (14.4–18.9) for mortality. In total, 686 patients (29%) died from CRC during the follow-up. The dataset was randomly split into a training (n=1887) and a testing (n=472) dataset. The area under the receiver operating characteristic was 0.84 (±0.04) and accuracy was 0.83 (±0.04) with a 0.5 classification threshold. The model is available online for research use.ConclusionsWe trained and validated a model with prospective data from a large multicentre cohort of patients. The model has high predictive performances at the individual scale. It could be used to discuss treatment strategies.

Dysmenorrhea is menstruation accompanied by pain or cramps in the lower abdominal area when approaching menstruation. One way to reduce dysmenorrheal pain is to use non-pharmacological therapy with dysmenorrhea exercises. Dysmenorrhea is a relaxation technique for reducing dysmenorrheal pain, when exercise is done regularly and the movement is appropriate then the muscles are tense to relax and reduce the intensity of dysmenorrhoeal pain during contractions. The purpose of this research is to know Influence of Dysmenorrhea Gymnastic on Change of Pain Level on Diploma Nursing Student at STIKes WijayaHusada Bogor in 2016. This research type is Quasi Eksperimen with Non Random Pretest &Postest Control Group Design design. Sampling method in this research use Purposive Sampling technique with sample number 32 responden. Data collection was obtained through observation with pain scale observation sheet and gymnastics with standard operational procedure of dysmenorrhenal exercises. The result of bivariate analysis using Wilcoxon test, in the intervention group obtained value (ρ =, 001 or ρ 0,05). Perinatal death is the birth of life is the perfect outcome of conception from the mother who has been separated has signs of his life regardless of age of pregnancy. This study aims to study the relationship of low birth weight babies (BBLR) with perinatal mortality in the Perinatology Room RSUD. dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu. This research use cross sectional design. Population in this research all newborn in perinatology room of RSUD dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu in January-December 2016 as many as 653 people consisting of 293 people with LBW and 360 people not BBLR. Proportional sampling random sampling technique so that the number of samples will be taken as many as 87 people who consist of 39 babies babies with LBW and 48 babies who are not LBW. The data collection in this study used secondary data by looking at documentary documentation in the Perinatology Room of RSUD. dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu. Data analysis technique done by univariate and bivariat analysis with Chi-Square statistical test (c²) through SPSS program. The results of the study were : there were 52 (59.8%) infants who did not experience perinatal death, 48 (55.2%) of babies born not BBLR, there was a significant correlation between low birth weight infant with perinatal mortality in room perinatologi RSUD. dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu with moderate category, and low birth weight babies were at risk 5 times perinatal mortality when compared with infants who are not low birth weight (LBW). It was expected that midwives could provide counseling to pregnant women to routinely check pregnancy, so that later could reduce complications arising from pregnancy in mothers who were at high risk.Keywords : baby, low birth weight, perinatal death

Objective This study aims to increase the empowerment of active case finding through counseling the Flipchart containing the social determinants of Tuberculosis. Methods The research use qualitative and quantitative method. The subjects of the study were 200 samples obtained by using Slovin formula. Data collected using questionnaire and in-depth interview with the samples. Data analysis using Path Analysis statistics to find the link between knowledge and attitudes toward TB incidence (2,521) for quantitative data tested by Wilcoxon. Results Average score of knowledge before 41.86 and after intervention 102.34 with a value of p = 0.001 and attitudes showed that there were differences before and after intervention where the value of p = 0.001 discussion and conclusions; knowledge of attitudes and case-finding actions before and after intervention increased. Conclusion The result of the study showing that the model of flipchart intervention to increase knowledge of housewives and cadres finding TB cases.

Penelitian ini menghasilkan media pembelajaran berupa game yang diaplikasikan pada perangkat yang memakai sistem android. Selama ini anak-anak menghilangkan kejenuhan dengan game . Oleh karena itu, perlu dikembangkan media pembelajaran berupa game yang bertujuan agar siswa dapat memanfaatkan waktu luang dengan sesuatu yang berguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan media pembelajaran game petualang yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli isi, ahli media dan ahli desain sebagai pendukung pembelajaran berhitung. Metode dalam penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan (P&P). Penelitian ini menghasilkan data berupa g ame petualang untuk pembelajaran berhitung yang dilengkapi buku petunjuk penggunaan bisa diperoleh di playstore . Validasi ahli isi sebesar 84,76%, validasi ahli media dan desain sebesar 91,82%, Angket respon siswa terhadap game petualang untuk pembelajaran berhitung mencapai kriteria sangat baik. Generalisability is typically only briefly mentioned in discussion sections of evaluation articles, which are unhelpful in judging whether an intervention could be implemented elsewhere, with similar effects. Several tools to assess generalisability exist, but they are difficult to operationalise and are rarely used. We believe a different approach is needed. Instead of focusing on similarities (or more likely, differences) in generic population and setting characteristics, generalisability assessments should focus on understanding an intervention’s mechanism of action - why or how an intervention was effective. We believe changes are needed to four types of research. First, outcome evaluations should draw on programme theory. Second, process evaluations should aim to understand interventions’ mechanism of action, rather than simply ‘what happened’. Third, small scoping studies should be conducted in new settings, to explore how to enact identified mechanisms. Finally, innovative synthesis methods are required, in order to identify mechanisms of action where there is a lack of existing process evaluations.

The next-generation short-read sequencing technologies that generate comprehensive, whole-genome data with single-nucleotide resolution have already advanced tuberculosis diagnosis, treatment, surveillance and source investigation. Their high costs, tedious and lengthy processes, and large equipment remain major hurdles for research use in high tuberculosis burden countries and implementation into routine care. The portable next-generation sequencing devices developed by Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) are attractive alternatives due to their long-read sequence capability, compact low-cost hardware, and continued improvements in accuracy and throughput. A systematic review of the published literature demonstrated limited uptake of ONT sequencing in tuberculosis research and clinical care. Of the 12 eligible articles presenting ONT sequencing data on at least one Mycobacterium tuberculosis sample, four addressed software development for long read ONT sequencing data with potential applications for M. tuberculosis. Only eight studies presented results of ONT sequencing of M. tuberculosis, of which five performed whole-genome and three did targeted sequencing. Based on these findings, we summarize the standard processes, reflect on the current limitations of ONT sequencing technology, and the research needed to overcome the main hurdles. Summary: The low capital cost, portable nature and continued improvement in the performance of ONT sequencing make it an attractive option for sequencing for research and clinical care, but limited data is available on its application in the tuberculosis field. Important research investment is needed to unleash the full potential of ONT sequencing for tuberculosis research and care.

In this commentary, we present a follow-up of two articles published in 2017 and 2018 about road traffic crashes, which is an important public health issue in Africa and Burkina Faso. The first article reported on a research project, conducted in partnership with local actors involved in road safety, carried out in Ouagadougou in 2015. Its aim was to test the effectiveness, acceptability, and capacity of a surveillance system to assess the number of road traffic crashes and their consequences on the health of crash victims. Several knowledge translation activities were carried out to maximize its impact and were reported in the 2018 article published in HRPS: monthly reports presenting the research data, large-format printed maps distributed to the city’s police stations, and a deliberative workshop held at the end of the research project. The present commentary presents our efforts to deepen our understanding of the impacts of the knowledge translation strategy, based on follow-up interviews, 18 months after the workshop, with the heads of the road traffic crash units in Ouagadougou police stations (n = 5). Several benefits were reported by respondents. Their involvement in the process prompted them to broaden their knowledge of other ways of dealing with the issue of road crashes. This led them, sometimes with their colleagues, to intervene differently: more rapid response at collision sites, increased surveillance of dangerous intersections, user awareness-raising on the importance of the highway code, etc. However, sustaining these actions over the longer term has proven difficult. Several lessons were derived from this experience, regarding the importance of producing useful and locally applicable research data, of ensuring the acceptability of the technologies used for data collection, of using collaborative approaches in research and knowledge translation, of ensuring the visibility of actions undertaken by actors in the field, and of involving decision-makers in the research process to maximize its impacts.

The use of research in public health policymaking is one of the prerequisites for successfully implemented health policies which have better population health as an outcome. This policy process is influenced by the actors involved under the policy umbrella, with inter-related contextual factors and specific structural and institutional circumstances. Our study investigates how policymakers’ research capacities influence the use of research in the health policy process and identify areas where capacity-building interventions give the most meaning and impact. Furthermore, we investigate policymakers’ research engagement and use this to inform public health policy in the public sector in Denmark. We collect and report data using Seeking, Engaging with, and Evaluation Research (SEER) methodology. Policymakers are reported to have research capacity, but it is questionable how those competences have actually been used in policymaking. Decision-makers were often not aware or did not know about the existing organizational tools and systems for research engagement and use and two third of respondents had not been part of any research activities or had any collaboration with researchers. Overall, research use in public health policymaking and evaluation was limited. As a conclusion, we propose that capacity-building interventions for increasing research use and collaboration in EIPM should be context-oriented, measurable, and sustainable in developing individual and organizational competences.

Private industry is increasingly soliciting hospitals to sell or share health data and biospecimens, but current laws offer more disclosure and consent protections for research participants than for patients receiving clinical care. Hospitals can offer more protections than required by law, however, and should move toward greater transparency with their patients about the research use of clinical health data and biospecimens to respect patients and avoid distrust.

Accelerated gain in fat mass (FM) in early life increases the risk for adult diseases. Longitudinal data on infant body composition are crucial for clinical and research use, but very difficult to obtain due to limited measurement tools and unsuccessful measurements between age 6–24 months. We compared FM% by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA), with cushion to reduce movement artifacts, with FM% by air-displacement plethysmography (ADP) and evaluated the reliability of this cushion during DXA by comparing FM% with and without cushion. Subsequently, we constructed sex-specific longitudinal body composition charts from 1–24 months. In 692 healthy, term-born infants (Sophia Pluto Cohort), FM% was measured by ADP from 1–6 months and DXA with cushion from 6–24 months. At 6 months, FM% was measured in triplicate by ADP and DXA with and without cushion(n = 278), later on in smaller numbers. At 6 months, mean FM% by DXA with cushion was 24.1 and by ADP 25.0, mean difference of 0.9% (Bland–Altman p = 0.321, no proportional bias). The temperature and humidity in the room.This study aims to determine the relationship between the type of roof with temperature and humidity in the house in the Badaun village. This research use cross sectional design with variation of roof type was leaf, asbestos and iron sheeting. The study population was 68 houses and was analyzed using Somers'd test.The results showed that the proportion of leaf roof, asbestos and iron sheeting were 36.8%, 10.3% and 52.9%, respectively. Average home room temperature using a leaf roof type of 29.6°C, 32°C asbestos roof and 32.1°C iron sheeting roof. The average humidity of the house that uses the leaf roof is 72.28%, asbestos 55.7% and iron sheeting 57.3%. The results of the analysis using the Somers'd test proved statistically there is a strong relationship between the type of roof of the house (leaves, asbestos and zinc) with the temperature and humidity in the house in Badaun Village, Tapin District. Every home that uses zinc and asbestos roof 27 times the risk (OR = 27) hotter than the house using a leaf roof. Efforts that can be done to cope with higher temperatures and humidity is in the effort to install the ceiling of the house and always open the doors and windows every morning.

Diabetes mellitus merupakan masalah yang serius dan menjadi salah satu penyakit penyebab kematian yang cukup besar di Indonesia. Selain itu banyak penelitian yang menyebutkan bahwa prevalensi akan terus meningkat pada tahun 2030. Tingginya prevalensi ini perlu di cegah mulai dari sekarang. Salah satu cara pencegahan penambahan angka kejadian diabetes ini adalah dengan mengetahui hubungan aktivitas fisik apa saja seseorang untuk mengalami diabetes. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Mengetahui hubungan aktivitas fisik terhadap kejadian diabetes mellitus. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan deskriptip analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 30 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Total populasi dan didapatkan sampel 30 responden. Data di olah dan dilakukan perhitungan menggunakan program data komputerisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji Chi square dengan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada hubungan aktivitas fisik terhadap kejadian diabetes mellitus (P value = 0,009 dengan OR=11,000). Saran dalam penelitian ini diharapkan tenaga kesehatan mampu memberikan penyuluhan dan konseling kepada keluarga dan penderita DM supaya mempunyai kesadaran untuk selalu melakukan aktivitas fisik dengan teratur, melakukan perubahan gaya hidup ke arah yang lebih baik.

Background: Many mothers do not know about the benefits of Breast Crawl. Often mothers have an improper understanding, such as not having to breastfeed the baby because the breast milk has not come out or because the milk that comes out first and yellow is the dirt and stale.Purpose: The purpose of this research is to know the relationship of postpartum knowledge about Breast Crawl in newborn with the smoothness of milk production.Method: This research use analytical method with cross sectional approach. The study was conducted on May 29 to June 23, 2018. The population in this study were all post partum mothers in Sri Widayati Wiwik BPS, SST Tanggungan Ngraho Sub-district Bojonegoro Regency in 2018 as many as 22 people, the sample size of 22 postpartum women was taken by purposive sampling technique. The instrument used is a questionnaire, then performed data processing through editing, coding, scoring and tabulating and analysis of data with Cross tables.Results: The results showed that 22 postpartum mothers in BPS Wiwik Sri Widayati, SST Tanggungan Ngraho Sub-district Bojonegoro Regency is knowledgeable good of 11 people, more than half the smoothness of breast milk production smoothly for 14 people (63,64%).Conclusion: There is relation of maternal knowledge about Breast Crawl on newborn with smoothness of breast milk production at BPS Wiwik Sri Widayati, SST Tanggungan Ngraho Sub-district Bojonegoro Regency. From the results of this study should postpartum mother can improve knowledge especially about Breast Crawl in newborn by coming to counseling conducted by health workers at Maternal & Child Health Centre every month

Residual dried blood spots from millions of newborns are being stored and used for research. The state of Michigan proactively developed a broad consent process for research use of newborns' blood spots. However, the extent to which mothers make informed choices about this research is unclear. A descriptive, qualitative study was conducted examining this issue. Twenty-nine observations of the consent process and 20 semistructured interviews were conducted with mothers on the postpartum unit of a large, academic hospital in Michigan. Content analysis of the transcripts was conducted. While most mothers agreed to donate the blood spots (n = 14/20; 70%), findings indicated that most decisions were uninformed (n = 16/20; 80%), as mothers lacked knowledge of biobanking research. Misunderstandings about anonymity, the consenter's credentials, and entity conducting the research seemed to influence decision making. Suggestions for improving the consent process include (1) changing the venue of blood spot education and consent from the postpartum period to the perinatal period, (2) strengthening the depth of information and delivery of information provided about the topic, including ethical and values clarification, and (3) increasing consenter education and training. Implementation may help increase the proportion of informed decisions.

Masalah yang umum muncul yang dialami oleh pasien yang menjalani terapi hemodialisa berkaitan dengan ketidakpatuhan mereka terhadap intake cairan. Ketidakpatuhan pasien gagal ginjal dapat menyebabkan kelebihan volume cairan dalam tubuh. Pemantauan keberhasilan manjemen intake cairan dapat diukur dengan Intradialytic Weight Gain (IDWG). IDWG dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya adalah efikasi diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara efikasi diri pembatasan cairan dengan IDWG pada pasien gagal ginjal kronik yang menjalani hemodialisa di RSUD Pasar Minggu. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian survei analitik dengan metode Cross Sectional. Efikasi diri pembatasan cairan diukur dengan menggunakan kuesioner, sedangkan IDWG diobeservasi selama pre dan post hemodialisa sesuai dengan jadwal hemodialisa pasien. Dari 40 responden yang menjalani hemodialisis di RSUD Pasar Minggu, 20 pasien memiliki efikasi diri tinggi dan 2- pasien lagi memiliki efikasi diri rendah. Sedangkan rata-rata kenaikan IDWG pada pasien adalah 2,188 kg. Uji statistikmenggunakan Man Whitney test menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara efikasi diri pembatasan cairan dengan IDWG (p = 0,001, A: 0,05). Dengan demikian, efikasi diri dapat mempengaruhi IDWG

Activity that is routinely carried out al BLUD RSUD dr. H. Soemarno Sosroatmodjo Kapuas which calculate the efficiency of bed occupancy. Inpatient service indicators for the last 3 years have fluctuated but have not met the standards. The purpose of this research was to determine the efficiency of inpatient service based on indicators of inpatient service at BLUD RSUD dr. H. Soemarno Sosroatmodjo Kapuas in 2017. This type of research use descriptive quantitative cross sectional approach with observation method, namely observing and calculating directly in the field. Daily inpatient census from 00.00 to 24.00 at 08.00 is handed over to the medical record. In 2017 the BOR result 52,51%, AvLOS 2,30 days, TOI 2,99 days, and BTO 58 times. Based on the measurement of Barber Johnson Chart the BOR value in the efficient area is the Cempaka room, while VIP, Isolation, ICU, VK, Teratai, Mawar, Perinatology, Kenanga, Dahlia, and Anggrek are outside the area efficiently. BOR values under the Health Department standards and Barber Johnson need to be made efforts to improve the quality of services including by completing facilities and infrastructure and improving service quality and human resource skills to restore public confidence in the hospital.

BACKGROUND Patients and caregivers are often not adequately informed about new medications. Nurses can lead innovations that improve new medication education. LOCAL PROBLEM Healthcare Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) scores on medication questions trailed state and national levels in one Midwestern hospital. METHODS This quality improvement project, guided by the Ottawa Model of Research Use and the Always Use Teach-back! innovative toolkit, used a 1-group pre- and posteducation design with RNs, patients, and caregivers. INTERVENTION RNs (n = 25) were observed in patient/caregiver education and surveyed in confidence/con-viction in the teach-back method before and after education. Patients' (n = 74) and caregivers' (n = 33) knowledge was assessed. RESULTS RNs reported significant increases in conviction in the importance of (P < .0001), confidence in using (P < .0001), and frequency in using (P < .0001) teach-back. With teach-back, both patients and caregivers recalled the purpose and side effects of new medications. Specific HCAHPS scores increased from 6% to 10%. CONCLUSION The teach-back method strengthened safe nursing practice and enhanced quality in new medication education.

BackgroundTo explore whether superb microvascular imaging (SMI)SMI can improve the diagnostic efficiency by evaluating the vascular index (VI) and vascular architecture (VA) in breast lesions.MethodsThis is a retrospective study of data collected prospectively for research use. Taking 225 consecutive cases of breast lesions from November 2016 to December 2017 as a training set, the VI values and VA types of benign and malignant lesions were calculated based on the pathological results. Taking 238 consecutive cases of breast lesions from January 2018 to October 2018 as the verification set, the diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value (PPV) and negative predictive value (NPV) were calculated to compare the diagnostic efficacy.ResultsThe training set included 225 breast lesions and the validation set 238 breast lesions. The VI value in the malignant group (10.3 ± 8.0) was significantly higher than that in the benign group (4.3 ± 5.0)(Pvs. 90.0%), accuracy (87.4% vs. 96.6%), and PPV (82.5% vs. 93.2%) without decreasing the diagnostic sensitivity (99.3%), yielded higher diagnostic performance with the area under the ROC curve was 0.941 (95%CI: 0904-0.979) compared with conventional US alone (P < 0.001).ConclusionA VI value 4.05 is a cut-off value with good diagnostic efficacy. The residual root-like and crab claw-like VAs are the characteristic VAs of malignant lesions. Conventional ultrasound combined with the VI and VA can improve the diagnostic specificity, accuracy and PPV without reducing the diagnostic sensitivity.

Aim To investigate the application of evidence-based knowledge and skills in everyday healthcare practice among healthcare personnel attending a course in evidence-based practice (EBP) at the master's level. Methods In this cross-sectional study, an evaluation of the use of instrumental, conceptual and persuasive research was performed among students attending a master's course in EBP at Lund University. Seven questions from the validated questionnaire in the Longitudinal Analysis of Nursing Education project were used. The questionnaire was distributed among 21 students at the first lecture in the course (the group before the course). Students who had participated in the course 1 (n = 15) and 2 (n = 13) years earlier received the questionnaire by ordinary mail (the group after the course). Results The current study revealed that the majority of the students used research in their daily healthcare practice. However, the extent and type of use varied. There were differences in research use between the 'before' and 'after' groups. More specifically, the students in the group responding after the course were significantly more prone to use research in practice than the students responding before the course (P = 0.01 and 0.04). Conclusion An EBP course offered to master's degree students provides enhancement of evidence-based knowledge and skills, and stimulates research use in healthcare practice.

SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic, has been found capable of inducing long term effects commonly referred to as post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 (PASC) or long COVID. To define the molecular basis of this condition, we compared the short- and long-term responses to influenza A virus and SARSCoV-2 in the golden hamster model. These data demonstrated that SARS-CoV-2 resulted in sustained changes to lung, kidney, and brain. The most significant change in response to SARS-CoV-2 was observed in the olfactory bulb, where persistent inflammation was visible beyond one month post infection. This was characterized by microglial activation, pro-inflammatory cytokine production, and a Type I interferon (IFN-I) response in the absence of detectable virus. Given the connection between olfactory bulb injury and neurological disorders, we postulate that this prolonged inflammation is an underlying cause of long COVID. World Health Organization recorded that about 44% of infant deaths in 2012 happened in the first 28 daysafter birth, and 78.5% of deaths happen in the first week after births. It was estimated that 80% of infantdeaths happen at home (with little or no contact with health workers). Good quality care service for infantsespecially newborns at home is a serious challenge, thus an effort that could be performed is to optimizethe role of health workers in the community by doing homevisit.The goal of this researchto identify theself-efficacy of postpartum mothers before home visit and after home visit, to compare the self-efficacy ofintervention group and control group on newborn care by means of health workers role during home visit.This research use quantitative research with quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design method.The sample of the research was health workers; each with responsibility of one fostered family of a motherin postpartum period. The research site for the intervention group was the working area of UleeKarengHealth Center, and for the control group was the working area of Baiturrahman Health Center. The result ofthe research revealed that there was a change in self-efficacy of postpartum mothers on newborn care afterthree home visits by the health workers. The difference of the average efficacy score was 12.5, with p valueof 0.0001. When the efficacy of postpartum mothers from the intervention group (who received homevisits) was compared to that of mothers from the control group, there was a significant difference found,with p value of 0.003. Home visit executed by the health workers can improve self-efficacy of thepostpartum mothers on newborn care. This can be seen from the difference between self-efficacy of thepostpartum mothers before and after home visit by the health workers.

Research in genomics and “omics” technologies is making possible “precision medicine”, a targeted approach to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. The goal of precision medicine, and one that holds great promise in oncology, is to treat patients with drugs that target the specific genetic mutations in their tumors. The research use of cancer tissues aims to unravel the mechanisms of cancer onset and evolution. To this end, collection of cancer tissues after the death of a cancer patient represents a unique opportunity for researchers. Rapid Tissue Donation (RTD) is an advancing oncology procedure that involves the procurement of “fresh” tissue within 2–6 h following the death of a cancer patient. This window of time is ideal to preserve the high quality of tissues retrieved. Whereas traditional tissue biopsies provide researchers with a limited amount of material that is often suboptimal for research needs, RTD offers the chance to overcome these barriers.

Background: One approach to promote students’ use of research in future practice involves integrating students’ research use in supervision during practice placements. Studies examining this aspect of supervision in practice placements are lacking. Aim: To explore how practice educators perceive and emphasize research in their supervision of occupational therapy students during practice placements. Materials and methods: A qualitative study was conducted. A purposive sample was recruited, consisting of participants from community-based health services and hospitals in Norway. We conducted three focus groups and one individual interview with occupational therapists (n = 9). The qualitative data analysis was based on interpretive description. Results: We identified four integrative themes: ‘emphasis on research in supervision of students’; ‘practice educators’ research competence and awareness of research’; ‘institutionalization of research use in everyday practice’; and ‘communication and cooperation between education and practice regarding research’. Despite highlighting several benefits of research use, the practice educators focus rarely on students’ research use in practice placements. Conclusions and significance: Cooperation between practice educators and faculty members regarding students’ training in research use seems essential. Practice educators may need additional training in how research should be emphasized in supervision.

PURPOSE: To evaluate publicly available de-identification tools on a large corpus of narrative-text radiology reports. MATERIALS AND METHODS: In this retrospective study, 21 categories of protected health information (PHI) in 2503 radiology reports were annotated from a large multihospital academic health system, collected between January 1, 2012 and January 8, 2019. A subset consisting of 1023 reports served as a test set; the remainder were used as domain-specific training data. The types and frequencies of PHI present within the reports were tallied. Five public de-identification tools were evaluated: MITRE Identification Scrubber Toolkit, U.S. National Library of Medicine‒Scrubber, Massachusetts Institute of Technology de-identification software, Emory Health Information DE-identification (HIDE) software, and Neuro named-entity recognition (NeuroNER). The tools were compared using metrics including recall, precision, and F1 score (the harmonic mean of recall and precision) for each category of PHI. RESULTS: The annotators identified 3528 spans of PHI text within the 2503 reports. Cohen κ for interrater agreement was 0.938. Dates accounted for the majority of PHI found in the dataset of radiology reports (n = 2755 [78%]). The two best-performing tools both used machine learning methods—NeuroNER (precision, 94.5%; recall, 92.6%; microaveraged F1 score [F1], 93.6%) and Emory HIDE (precision, 96.6%; recall, 88.2%; F1, 92.2%)—but none exceeded 50% F1 on the important patient names category. CONCLUSION: PHI appeared infrequently within the corpus of reports studied, which created difficulties for training machine learning systems. Out-of-the-box de-identification tools achieved limited performance on the corpus of radiology reports, suggesting the need for further advancements in public datasets and trained models. Los sistemas de clasificaciones son herramientas de uso internacional para caracterizar las funciones de los niños y jóvenes con parálisis cerebral (PC), para el uso clínico y de investigación. El objetivo de este estudio fue caracterizar los distintos sistemas de clasificación disponibles y describir la utilidad de cada una de las clasificaciones, describiendo su uso en la práctica clínica. Métodos: se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica exhaustiva utilizando las bases de datos de Cochrane Database, MEDLINE, LILACS y Google Académico. El período de búsqueda fue desde 1997 hasta el 2019 mediante palabras claves. Se incluyeron sistemas de clasificación que se centraran en funciones y estructuras corporales, consideren la Clasificación internacional del funcionamiento, de la discapacidad y de la salud, estén validados y en idioma inglés y en español. La calidad de los trabajos fue valorada de acuerdo al AGREE reporting checklist. Resultados: Se encontraron seis sistemas de clasificación destinado a personas con PC sobre sus funciones y estructuras corporales. Cada uno de los sistemas se centra en una función o habilidad específica, que son: función motora gruesa, habilidades manuales, funciones de la comunicación, habilidades para comer y beber, resonancias magnéticas nuclear y funciones visuales. Todos los sistemas han sido validados, estandarizados y utilizados de forma internacional. Sirven para describir de forma más completa los niveles funcionales y de estructuras corporales de las personas con PC tanto a nivel clínico, poblacional e investigaciones. Classification systems are internationally used tools to characterize the functions of children and young people with cerebral palsy (CP), for clinical and research use. The aim of this study was to characterize the different classification systems available and describe the usefulness of each of the classifications, describing their use in clinical practice.Methods: An exhaustive bibliographic revision was performed using the Cochrane Database, MEDLINE, LILACS y Google Scholar databases. The search period was from 1997 to 2019 using key words. Classification systems were included that focused on functions and body structures, considered the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health, were validated and in English and Spanish. The quality of the works was assessed according to the AGREE reporting checklist.Results: Six classification systems were found for children with CP regarding their functions and body structures. Each of the systems focuses on a specific function or skill, which are: gross motor function, manual skills, communication functions, eating and drinking skills, MRIs, and visual functions.Main conclusion: All systems have been validated, standardized and used internationally. Introduction: Health problems caused by environmental factors are still one of the main things to note. One of the dangers in the work environment is the presence of organic dust including wood dust. Organic dust flying in the air is able to interfere with the health of the workers through the respiratory tract. The resulting wood dust is at risk causing lung faal status disorders in workers. This article aims to explore risks factors for wood dust exposure to the status of lung faal in wood industry workers based on the previously performed research from published journals. Discussion: This research used a method of literature study with a comparative study approach. The selected research should be in appropriated with the topic and through the protocols that have been set to become secondary data. The results of data analysis indicated that almost all research use observational analytic types with cross sectional approaches. Wood dust that has entered through the respiratory tract worker is influenced by several variables. The most often used risk factors as a research variable are dust levels, age, use of PPE, and smoking habit. Conclusion: The research can be concluded that independent variables of selected research are less varied. The selected research variables already existed in previous research. Upcoming researchers are expected to be able display new variables that are suspected to affect the status of the lung Faal on wood industry workers.

Introduction Tissue from pediatric solid tumors is in high demand for use in high-impact research studies, making the allocation of tissue from an anatomic pathology laboratory challenging. We designed, implemented, and assessed an interdepartmental process to optimize tissue allocation of pediatric solid tumors for both clinical care and research. Methods Oncologists, pathologists, surgeons, interventional radiologists, pathology technical staff, and clinical research coordinators participated in the workflow design. Procedures were created to address patient identification and consent, prioritization of protocols, electronic communication of requests, tissue preparation, and distribution. Pathologists were surveyed about the value of the new workflow. Results Over a 5-year period, 644 pediatric solid tumor patients consented to one or more studies requesting archival or fresh tissue. Patients had a variety of tumor types, with many rare and singular diagnoses. Sixty-seven percent of 1768 research requests were fulfilled. Requests for archival tissue were fulfilled at a significantly higher rate than those for fresh tissue (P > .001), and requests from resection specimens were fulfilled at a significantly higher rate than those from biopsies (P > .0001). In an anonymous survey, seven of seven pathologists reported that the process had improved since the introduction of the electronic communication model. Conclusions A collaborative and informed model for tissue allocation is successful in distributing archival and fresh tissue for clinical research studies. Our workflows and policies have gained pathologists' approval and streamlined our processes. As clinical and research programs evolve, a thoughtful tissue allocation process will facilitate ongoing research.

The objective of this study was to determine the description of kidney histology of Mus musculus after giving Nano Herbal Rhodomyrtus tomentosa (Haramonting). R.tomentosa (Haramonting) is made on a nanoscale using High Energy Milling (HEM). This research use the Completely Randomized Design (CRD), which consists of six groups of CMC 0.5% and Nano- R.tomentosa (Haramonting) at dosage of (100; 141,42; 200; 282,82; 400)mg/20g body weight. The kidneys were made into preparations by using the paraffin method and Hematoxylin Erlich-Eosin staining (HE). The results of histological kidneys showed that there is a significant difference (P0,05).

The research exemption implemented in the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR) gives member states leeway in determining whether patient consent is required for secondary data use in medical research. However, even though broad consent has become common in data-rich medical research in many EU countries, giving up consent altogether is likely to be controversial. The aim of this study was to examine whether abolishing consent for secondary data use would be acceptable to patients. A questionnaire study was conducted among 700 outpatients of a northern German university hospital to assess their attitude towards use of clinical data for scientific research without consent. There was both strong willingness to give broad consent for secondary data use (468 of 503 responders, 93.0%) and strong approval of abolishing patient consent (n = 381, 75.7%) among study participants. The willingness to give consent was moderately associated with approval of the respective stipulations by the EU-GDPR. In research settings where broad consent is widely accepted (e.g. university hospitals), abolishing consent for secondary research use of clinical data will likely be acceptable to a large majority of patients.

Febrile seizures is a disease that is quite common in infants. Half of the occurrence of febrile seizures occur recurrent febrile seizures, this occurs because the child's brain development is still not optimal enough in doing self-defense against the fever, resulting in the rise of febrile seizures. Parents often panic facing the event of febrile seizures. handling fever in children is very dependent on the parents. Level of knowledge of each different mother will lead to the management of fever in different children. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of the mother about febrile seizures in children aged 6 mounth to 5 years in Puskesmas Kampar East Kampar District in 2018. this research use accidental sampling sampling technique and data collection is done by questioner. The research was conducted on 30 May - 9 June 2018 at Puskesmas Kampar East Kampar District. Sample was 50 respondents with univariate data analysis. The results of this study indicate that the mother's knowledge level is less with the number of 36 people (72%). It is hoped for the Puskesmas to be able to make extantion program about things related to febrile definition dan febrile seizures. And for the mother around Puskesmas Kampar East Kampar District is expected to be more open to new information and more accepting suggestion from nurse and medical officer that exist, especially about information that is important and useful for family health. Background: A powerful earthquake in Yogyakarta, causing major damage and many deaths. Children with autism are more vulnerable and have a greater risk of earthquake because they are have an intellectual, social and verbal disability to safe life independently. Objective: This research discussed the influence of play therapy on learning of disaster mitigation for children with autism. Method: This research used qualitative descriptive design and consider a sample of 30 children with autism in SLB N Pembina Yogyakarta. Play therapy in this research use drawing and coloring methods, also watching video about disaster preparedness. Results: Play therapy could effectively be applied as earthquake mitigation lesson to children with autism in SLB N Pembina Yogyakarta. Before interventions, there were 2 children (7%) able to draw on actions when an earthquake occurred, and increased to 19 children (63,33%) after interventions. Conclusion: Play therapy could be effectively applied to children with autism as earthquake disaster mitigation showed by an increase of children’s drawing and coloring ability on actions when an earthquake occurred for as much as 56,33%. Hypertension is widely known for its cardiovascular disease in which sufferers have blood pressure above normal blood pressure, precisely where systolic blood pressure ≥ 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure ≥ 90 mmHg measured in calm at two measurements. Compliance to medication of hypertension contributes greatly to the stability of the blood pressure. One of the efforts made to improve compliance with medication of hypertension with the chronic disease management program (Prolanis). This research aims to know the relationship of the level of compliance of taking the drug with blood pressure in patients of hypertension in chronic disease management group (Prolanis) Qita Clinic. This research use analytic research method to approach cross-sectional, in the study sample is determined by the method of purposive. This research instrument is the questionnaire MMAS-8 (Morisky Medication Adherence Scale-8) and 1 set of tools tensimeter. From the results of the research showed that respondents with high compliance as much as 14 respondents (46.7%), compliance are as many as 5 respondents (15.7%) and low compliance as much as 11 respondents (36.7%). Correlation of test results of these studies showed a relationship with medication compliance systolic blood pressure with a p value of 0.05 signifies < 0.038 and there is a connection with diastolic blood pressure with a p value of 0.05 signifies < 0.024.

Inspection of Visual Inspection of Acetic Acid (IVA) is one way of earlydetection of cervical cancer disease. This check method is an easy-to-do and inexpensivemethod, but has high yield accuracy. The Srikuncorocommunity Health centersiscommunity Health centers which has the lowest IVA examination rate that is 5 people.The purpose of this research is to know factors related to posyandu cadre motivation inexamination of IVA test in working area of The Srikuncorocommunity Healthcenters2017 This research use cross sectional method. The population of the research wasposyandu cadres in The Srikuncorocommunity Health centersarea of 90 people, with totalsample technique. Using secondary data and primary data with univariate, bivariate, andmultivariate analyzes. The research results of most cadres received poor husband support(56.7%), poor environmental support (54.4%), poor information exposure (55.6%), andmost cadres have low motivation (62.2%). There is a significant relationship betweenhusband support p = 0,000 and OR = 10,750, environmental support p = 0,000 and OR =8,883, information exposure p = 0,000 and OR = 7,593 with cadre motivation in IVA testexamination at Puskesmas Srikuncoro 2017. husband is the most influential factor withcadre motivation in IVA examination

The nutritional status of children is one indicator that describes the level of nutritional status of the community. The type of research used is observational analytic research with comparative research design. The sample in this research is children less nutrition and uncomplicated malnutrition in Jatiwates village and Sentul village, Tembelang sub-district, Jombang regency with 11 children. The sampling technique used in this study is total sampling. The dependent variable in this research is the nutritional status of children. The independent variable in this research is Nutrition Recovery Park activity. Data analysis in this research use t-test. The results showed that there is influence of Nutrition Recovery Park activities with nutritional status of children. To further optimize the activities should equip APE facilities in order to improve the development of toddlers.

Family statisfaction is determined by a good response time. The objective of this research is to investigate the correlation between the nurses’s response time in giving service and family statisfaction at Emergency Unit of RSUD Dr.Pirngadi Medan This research use th correlational descriptive method. The population of this research consisted of 597 patient. Yhe sample of the research consisted of 42. They were colleted through stopwacth/handphone that have a stopwatch to caculate the response time and questionnsire consisting of 20 questions about family statisfiction of patient.The result of the research show that nurses’response time at Emergency Unit RSUD Dr.Pirngadi Medan was a past’s response time.In addition, the family of patients were statisfied with the service at Emergency Unit of RSUD Dr.Pirngadi Medan. There was a corelation between the nurses’s response time in giving service and the family statisfaction at Emergency Unit of RSUD Dr. Pirngadi of medan as indicate by the p.value= 0.02 and the correlation coeficient value=0.01

Literature about practitioner research focuses on the production of research or building of research capacity, with limited exploration of the wider contribution that practitioner research can make to knowledge mobilisation (KM). This paper draws on findings from a practitioner research project to explore how practitioner research can facilitate KM. We suggest that more would be achieved if KM initiatives were informed by a holistic model which recognises that knowledge mobilisation is influenced by: the actors involved (and the dynamics between them), environmental context, knowledge content and type, mechanisms for mobilising knowledge, and the underpinning values and principles.
