Pharmacotherapy of diabetes mellitus is an extremely important problem of medicine and pharmacy due to its deficient safety and imperfection in maintaining optimal glycemia, frequent changes of which lead to the development of diabetes angiopathies. Therefore, the optimization of existing treatments with herbal collections is appropriate because of their low toxicity and the complex effect of the number of biologically active substances on the pathogenesis of diabetes and its complications. The aim of the research was to determine the qualitative composition and quantitative content of flavonoids in the herbal antidiabetic collections № 3 and № 4. Materials and methods. The objects of the study were the herbal antidiabetic collection № 3, which consists of folium Urticae, radix Cichorii, fructus Rosae majalis, rhizoma Erytrigiae repens, radix Taraxaci officinale , and the herbal antidiabetic collection № 4, which consists of radix Arctii lappa, rhizoma Erytrigiae repens, styli cum stigmatis Zeae maydis, flores Helichrysi arenarium, fructus Rosae majalis . The qualitative composition and quantitative content of flavonoids were determined by the method of high-performance chromatography using liquid chromatograph Agilent Technologies 1200. Results. It was identified 6 flavonoid and it was established their quantitative content, among which the rutin (0.36 %), neohesperidin (0.31 %), luteolin (0.17 %), quercetin (0.05 %), isoquercetrin 0.04 % and naringenin 0.04 % in the herbal antidiabetic collection № 3. It was identified 4 flavonoid and it was established their quantitative content, among which luteolin (0.42 %), rutin (0.29 %), quercetin (0.63 %) and isoquercetrin (0.63 %) in the herbal antidiabetic collection № 4. Conclusions . For the first time, it was determined the qualitative composition and quantitative content of the main flavonoids in the herbal antidiabetic collections № 3 and № 4 by the method of high-performance liquid chromatography. The results of the study showed that the herbal antidiabetic collection № 3 contains 6 flavonoids with a predominance of rutin and neohesperidin, and the herbal antidiabetic collection № 4 – 4 flavonoids, among which luteolin, rutin, and quercetin predominate. This gives reason to conclude about the antidiabetic activity by the pathogenetic mechanism of influence, which indicates that the feasibility of further study of these collections as promising herbal remedies for the treatment and prevention of diabetes mellitus.

Heart failure - severe, common clinical syndrome that is the result of many heart diseases is progressive, significantly reduces the life expectancy of patients and impairs its quality. Leading nosological forms the structure of coronary heart disease for many years, is a myocardial infarction. Growing proportion of elderly in most populations, increased survival after acute myocardial infarction (AMI) resulted in a significant increase in the number of patients with chronic heart failure (CHF). Increased tone of the sympathetic division precedes the development of chronic cerebral ischemia and, therefore, may complicate the course of disease in the presence of chronic heart failure.

Ukrainian breeders evolved and have been evolving meat breeds but at the same time in the nearest future the main part of beef will be produced in dairy cattle- breeding as a by-product of milk production. The aim of the research was to study the productive and technological qualities of the mixed breeds of cattle produced from crossing of the cows of the Ukrainian Red dairy breed with the bulls of meat breeds: Aberdin Angus, Ukrainian, Volynian and the Southern breed of Znamensky type. Scientific and production experiment was carried out on the research farm “Stepove” Kirovograd region, at the research agricultural station and 64 bulls of different breed combinations and 16 purebred bulls of Ukrainian Red dairy breed were taken for the experiment. The bulls under investigation were kept in accordance with the technology and the rules adopted on the farm, they were fed by the same diet. The ration of the bulls was balanced by the detailed standards (Kalashnikov, 1985) that provided the daily weight gains at the level of 900 g and more. The composition of the feeds was changed depending on the season of the year and the period of animal growing. The analysis of the change of the live weight of the young cattle kept in the similar technological conditions has shown that the animals of different genotypes had different dynamics of growth. One of the reasons for that was the fact that they had had different live weights at birth. The calves of Aberdin Angus mixed breed had the lowest live weight at birth (Р< 0,05), due to their high energy of growth they surpassed the animals of the control group in the live weight. They had the highest relative rate of growth from birth to 18-month-old age. The mixed bulls produced from the bull of the Ukrainian Red meat breed had the highest absolute weight gain (554,5 kg) and, respectively, the highest daily weight gain (1014 g). The data of the results of the slaughter proved high meat productivity of bulls in all the groups. All groups of mixed bulls had higher slaughtering output by 1,4-3,9% as compared to the bulls of the control group. As for the level of profitability of beef production even without donation the bulls produced from crossing the cows of Ukrainian Red dairy breed with the bulls of the Ukrainian meat breed had the best results (51,3%), the mixed bulls produced from crossing with Aberdin Angus breed had a little lower values (50,4%) than with Volynian meat breed (47,5%) and Znamensky type of the Southern meat breed (46,0%).

Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of mortality worldwide. Evidence suggests that the risk of atherosclerosis complications associated not only with local changes within atherosclerotic plaque (such as the state necrotic core or fibrous cap), but also with the state of blood or systemic factors. Circulating levels of cytokines, prothrombotic factors or acute phase reactants may play a role in the occurrence of acute stroke in the presence of affected vessels, even in the absence of stenosis. For example, increased serum biomarkers such as C-reactive protein, cytokines - predict the progression of atherosclerosis and risk of stroke. Stroke, may be caused by atherosclerosis of large arteries supplying the brain, or it may affect smaller branches inside the skull.

Silver nanoparticles are known to have inhibitory and bactericidal effects and they play a significant role in the development of new antimicrobial substances against a number of pathogenic microorganisms. In this article the minimum bactericidal concentration of the silver nanoparticles on two different bacteria cultures (Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus) as well as the possibility to enhance their antimicrobial activity using laser irradiation was investigated. It was found, that solutions of silver nanoparticles at concentrations ≥ 3120 μg/ml cause death of both types of studied microorganisms. Dispersion of nanoparticles after laser irradiation caused the inhibition of Staphylococcus aureusat lower concentrations.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) annually in the world traumatic brain injury (TBI) are about 10 million people, of whom 1.5 million die (9.0% of all causes of mortality), and another 2.4 million are disabled. The incidence of TBI is 1,8-5,4 per 100 thousand population, according to WHO, every year it increases by 2%. In Ukraine there is a TBI each year almost 100-200 thousand. Victims, about 1 million. Establish disability due to TBI. In 50-90% of patients after brain injury neurological symptoms persist or new emerging neurological syndromes that cause disability in 45% of them. Every year in Ukraine die from TBI 10-11 thousand citizens, in accordance mortality of 2.4 cases per 10 thousand population (USA- 1.8-2.2 per 10,000 per year).

Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) – represent between 30 percent to 50 percent of all cardiovascular system’s diseases, and account 110 thousands of new stroke cases every year in Ukraine, death rate during first 30 days is 30-40 % and 50 % during 1st year. Primary stroke morbidity is higher in 1.5-2 times than world’s average. The most significant risk factors of stroke are hypertension, heart diseases (coronary artery disease, heart rhythm disorders), transient ischemic attack in anamnesis, diabetes, atherosclerosis (dyslipidemia). According conducted researches it is proven, that level of systolic blood pressure correlates with decreased risk of stroke in patients with hypertension. This article describes a case from clinical practice – management of patient with acute ischemic stroke. The attention is focused on the methods of examination, basic treatment strategy and rehabilitation of patient with this pathology.

The most severe form of disease is a brain stroke. The incidence of stroke in the Ukraine is about 100-120 thousand. Cases. 40-50% of patients die within the first year after a stroke, and 80% of survivors remain disabled, dependent on others. The main risk factors for stroke are hypertension, especially untreated, blood drops. Stroke threatens to increase both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. The sharp decline in blood pressure can also cause stroke, especially in the elderly. Next importance of a risk factor for stroke is atherosclerosis. It is proved that the leading role in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis and dyslipidemia plays, in particular, increased low-density lipoprotein cholesterol. The incidence of atherosclerosis is directly proportional to cholesterol in the blood. This article describes a case of clinical practice - driving patient after acute ischemic attack. The method of examination and the basic tactics of treatment and rehabilitation of patients with this pathology. Background rehabilitation of patients with stroke is increasing year by year, due to the fact that stroke is the second-third place among the main causes of disability in the population.

There was studied the influence of antiretroviral and antimycobacterial chemotherapy on releasing from the gliacell marker lesions – S100b protein in the context of possible iatrogenic. It was established that a slight increase inthe concentration of S100b protein in blood serum of patients with co-infection of HIV /TB after starting HAART wasnot associated with the occurrence of symptoms of the central nervous system.
