Family Planning is an acronym for Family Planning which was formed by the government to reduce the number of people using contraception, but some contraceptives have side effects namely bleeding, headache, nausea, menstrual disorders, weakness/fatigue, and vaginal discharge. This study was an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional design. Samples were all users of 3 months Depo Provera Injecting KB injection at BPM Nuni Nuraeni, Padasuka Ciomas, Bogor Regency in 2018. Statistical tests used chi-square. The results of univariate analysis showed WUS using Depo Provera injections 3 months 49 (65.3%) and WUS who did not use Depo Provera injections 3 months 26 (34.7%), WUS who used 3 months Depo Provera injectable KB obtained that Hb levels were normal 43 (57.3%) and whereas WUS who used KB injections Depo Provera 3 months found that Hb levels were not normal 32 (42.7%). In the Bivariate analysis, based on the results of the Chi-Square Statistical Test with a significance limit α = 0.05 and 95% CI obtained ρ value = 0.26 α> 0.05 (Prevalence Rate = 3,300). This shows that there is no relationship between the use of 3 months Depo Provera injecting contraception to Hb levels in WUS at BPM Nuni Nuraeni. Thus the hypothesis which states that there is a relationship between the use of 3 months Depo Provera injecting contraception with Hb levels in WUS is rejected. From the results of the study it can be concluded that there is no relationship between the use of a 3-month injection of Depo Provera injections with Hb levels in WUS at BPM Nuni Nuraeni, Padasuka Ciomas, Bogor Regency.

BACKGROUND: Helplessness is a factor that adversely affects patients with coronary heart disease (CHD). The factors related to this situation have become essential to be investigated. Meanwhile, one of the factors that have the potential to reduce this situation is social support. However, there has been no research related to this in the Indonesian population. AIM: Therefore, this study aims to assess the relationship between social support and helplessness among patients with CHD. METHODS: This was a correlational study where 107 outpatient and inpatient patients at a hospital in West Java, Indonesia, were obtained. The data were collected using a demographic questionnaire, Illness Cognition Questionnaire on the dimensions of helplessness, and the Enhancing Recovery in CHD Social Support Inventory. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by Pearson and linear regression. RESULTS: The respondents were 78% of males, while 22% were female. Most of the patients (88%) were married. The bivariate analysis showed that social support and its subvariable emotional support were significantly related to helplessness (p < 0.05, r = −0.248), while the other subvariable structural and instrumental support were not significantly related (p > 0.05). The regression analysis results showed that social and emotional support had a significant effect (p < 0.05) with R2 (95% CI) of 042 and 0.05, respectively. CONCLUSIONS: The social and emotional support among CHD patients was associated with helplessness. The higher the supports obtained, the lower the patient’s helplessness. Therefore, nurses need to encourage family or those closest to patients to provide adequate social and emotional support.

Aplasia cutis congenita (ACC) is a congenital disorder characterized by the absence of epidermis, dermis, and sometimes subcutaneous tissue and bone. There are nine types of ACC based on the number and location of the lesions as well as the presence or absence of associated deformities, with type I ACC being the most common. Type V affects the trunk with a characteristic pattern resembling the “H” letter of the alphabet, generally accompanied by fetus papyraceus (death of one of the twin fetuses) or placental infarction. Type V ACC without fetus papyraceus and placental infarction is a rare case. We reported a case of type V ACC in a 3-day-old baby girl, with clinical manifestation of extensive ulcers on the scalp, back, buttocks, and both lower extremities, in an “H”-shaped pattern, with history of placenta accreta, but no fetus papyraceus or placental infarction was found. The patient received dialkyl carbamoyl chloride hydrophobic swab with hydrogel (Sorbact® gel dressing-BSN Medical) and hydrocolloid wound dressing with good response, as indicated by the wounds becoming dried up, leaving an atrophic scar. Complete epithelialization was achieved in 72 days. The cause of type V ACC remains not completely understood. The diagnosis of ACC can be established based on clinical manifestations. Further examination is required if extracutaneous involvement is suspected. Early identification of the etiology of the lesions and appropriate investigation and treatment, including conservative wound management, are needed so that aplastic lesions can heal successfully, although cosmetic repair may be required at a later stage.

Severity level is one of the variables used to determine the treatments of acute coronary syndrome patients. There are many ways to see the success of treatment such as measuring the patient’s quality of life. This study aims to determine the correlation between severity level and quality of life among patients with post-acute coronary syndrome at Hasan Sadikin Central Hospital Bandung. This research was a quantitative study with a descriptive-analytic approach. Sampling of 100 patients with post-acute coronary syndrome patients was collected during a period of one month using consecutive sampling technique. The severity was assessed based on the stenosis number and the quality of life data were collected using the MacNew QLMI. Somers’d Gamma was used to analyze the data. Data showed that most of the patients had angina without stenosis (36%) and coronary 1 stenosis (29%). The results of the quality of life measurement show that 58% patients have a good quality of life, 64% are good in the emotional domain, 52% are good in the physical domain, and 60% are good in the social domain. Bivariate analysis (CI 95%) showed that there was a significant correlation between severity level and quality of life (p-value 0.033), as well as with the physical domain (p-value 0,008). There is a correlation between severity level and quality of life of post-acute coronary syndrome patients in Hasan Sadikin Central Hospital Bandung. Based on the quality of life domain, the severity level was significantly related to the physical-domain. Regular screening is necessary to improve the quality of life of post-acute coronary syndrome patients.

Background: Depression is a significant predictor of the quality of life among patients with coronary heart disease. Therefore, it is essential to explore the factors associated with depression. Illness cognition is considered one of the factors affecting depression. However, the relationship between illness cognition and the incidence of depression among Indonesian patients have not been widely investigated. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the correlation between illness cognition, consisting of the acceptance, perceived benefits, and helplessness variables, and depression in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods: This study employed a correlational research design with a total of 106 patients undergoing treatment at a hospital in West Java, Indonesia, selected using convenience sampling. Data were collected using a demographic questionnaire, Beck-Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II), and ICQ (Illness-Cognition Questionnaire). Data were analyzed using mean (SD), median, frequency distribution, and Spearman-rank. Results: 72% of respondents had no depression. Nevertheless, mild, moderate, and major depression suffered by 15%, 9%, and 4% of respondents, respectively. In terms of illness cognition, patients scored higher within the perceived benefits dimension (mean 20.13, SD 3.05), followed by acceptance (mean 18.22, SD 3.33) and helplessness (mean 13.20, SD 4.77), respectively. Background: Parkinson's disease is the most common neurodegenerative disorder affecting more than 10 million people worldwide. This disease is characterized by progressive dopaminergic neuron damage in the substantia nigra. This damage can be triggered by aging and the presence of oxidative stress because of free radicals. Antioxidants can inhibit the formation of free radicals and reduce oxidative stress, so they can be used as an alternative treatment for Parkinson's disease. Objective: This review article aimed to provide information about the antioxidant effects of selected herbal plants on Parkinson's disease. Method: This study used literature study methods sourced from national and international scientific journals published in the last 5 years (2016-2020). Literature search were carried out using databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed®, ScienceDirect, and Garuda Portal. Results: The high content of antioxidants in plants could protect nerve cells from oxidative damage and reduce symptoms such as tremors, muscle stiffness, impaired coordination and motor balance in test animals. Conclusion: Natural antioxidants from herbal plants proved to be able to prevent oxidative stress caused by free radicals and reduce symptoms of Parkinson's disease. Snake bite is an often-neglected,1 life-threatening emergency prevalent in rural areas of tropical countries such as Indonesia.2 The WHO reported a worldwide incidence of 5 million snake bites per year, with 100,000–200,000 deaths.3 The incidence rate and likelihood of subsequent complications are higher in children than adults.4 According to the WHO, 35% of child deaths related to poisonous animal bites are attributable to snake bites and occur more frequently in boys than girls.5 In Indonesia, no national epidemiological data on snake bites in children is available, but the WHO estimated that 5–8 snake bite cases occur weekly in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.6 Lower limbs are the most common site for bites (72%), while facial bites are quite rare (10%).7 Bites involving children and/or the face are considered as severe envenomation and usually require antivenom at an appropriate dose and timing to be effective.8 Therefore, it is important that hospitals are equipped with life-saving intervention measures to optimize care and improve the chances of survival.9 Nevertheless, in developing countries, the use of antivenom is limited by the absence of standardized guidelines, scarcity/unavailability, and high cost.9 In Indonesia, the only antivenom, serum antibisa ular (SABU), is costly and difficult to obtain due to limited quantities, especially in rural areas. Furthermore, SABU is a polyvalent antivenom with low coverage, as it is only indicated for Naja sputatrix, Bungarus fasciatus, and Agkistrodon rhodostoma, despite the numerous other snake species endemic to Indonesia.2

Diabetes mellitus dapat menjadi serius dan menyebabkan kondisi kronik yang membahayakan apabila tidak diobati. Menurut World Health Organization (WHO) tahun 2011, penderita diabetes berisiko mengalami kerusakan mikrovaskuler seperti retinopati, nefropati, dan neuropati. Hal tersebut memberikan efek terhadap kualitas hidup penderita DM. Kualitas hidup pasien DM dapat ditingkatkan dengan banyak cara. Salah satu metode yang sudah digunakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup penderita DM adalah Metode Self Diabetes Management Education (SDME) dengan metode kelompok. Self Diabetes Management Education (SDME) merupakan suatu proses berkelanjutan untuk memfasilitasi pengetahuan, ketrampilan dan kemampuan yang diperlukan untuk perawatan diri pasien Diabetes Mellitus. SDME memberikan dukungan informasi pengambilan keputusan, perilaku perawatan diri, pemecahan masalah dan kerjasama aktif dengan tim kesehatan dan untuk meningkatkan hasil klinis, status kesehatan dan kualitas hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Self Diabetes Management Education (SDME) dengan Metode kelompok terhadap dukungan keluarga dan kualitas hidup penderita DM di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kelurahan Ragunan Jakarta Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Quasi Experiment dengan pasien DM di Puskesmas Kelurahan Ragunan Pasar Minggu sebagai sampel.

The use of chemical pesticides is often carried out in excessive doses, so that this condition results in increased accumulation of pesticide residues in nature. The residue can kill non target organisms, there was an explosion of secondary pests and pest resistance. One effort to reduce the use of synthetic chemical pesticides is by substitution using botanical pesticides that are more environmentally friendly. Botanical pesticides that are easily biodegradable in nature, so it does not pollute the environment, it is relatively safe for humans and the presence of natural enemies. One of the most potential types of botanical pesticides is from the Meliaceae family, namely neem, mahogany, and suren. In this study, the content of secondary metabolites was tested for neem, mahogany and suren seeds. Toxicity properties against pests conducted through literature searches. The purpose of this study was to obtain information on the toxicity and content of secondary metabolite compounds from the three plant seed extracts against forest pests. The results showed that the extract of neem, mahogany and suren seeds contain compounds secondary metabolites from the saponins, tanins, flavonoids, alkoloids, and terpenoids. The compounds can be used as botanical pesticides to control pests of forest plants.

Perineal pain is one of the problems for postpartum mothers. The intensity of the pain depends on the degree of rupture and parity factors. Perineal pain that is not treated will cause discomfort and mothers being afraid to mobilize early and can also cause perineal infections and bleeding. Perineal pain can be overcome using lavender aromatherapy, as linalool and linalyl acetate in lavender has an analgesic effect. This research conducts a literature review about lavender aromatherapy’s effectiveness on the intensity of perineal pain in the postpartum women. The research method used is a literature review with a total of five articles included. One article was obtained from PubMed with the keywords ‘lavender oil aromatherapy’ AND ‘perineal pain’ AND ‘postpartum’. The other four articles were found on Google Scholar with the keywords ‘Aromatherapy lavender’, ‘perineal pain’, ‘postpartum’. The inclusion criteria of selected articles are respondents in the study were postpartum mothers with perineal trauma, interventions were given lavender aromatherapy, and the outcome is perineal pain. The results showed that lavender aromatherapy effectively reduced perineal pain in postpartum mothers who experienced trauma in perineum. Mushrooms which is mostly belong to the phylum Basidiomycota have been recognized as functional foods and a source for the nutraceuticals. Genus Mycena is one of mushrooms, which has been investigated for its secondary metabolites. Mycena pelianthina produces pelianthinarubins A, pelianthinarubins B, muscarin, and epimuscarin from alkaloid group. The purposes of this research were to determine the effects of composition of medium and incubation time on production of mycelial biomass of M. pelianthina in liquid medium and to know the group of secondary metabolite compounds produced. This research was done experimentally using a Factorial Completely Randomized Design consisted of 12 treatments and three replications. The first factor was medium type, which were Mushroom Complete Medium (MCM), Potato Dextrose Yeast Broth (PDYB), and Yeast Malt Extract Medium (YM). The second factor was the incubation time consisting of 15, 20, 25, and 30 days. The observed main parameters were the dry weight of mycelial biomass and the secondary metabolite groups. The dried weights of mycelia were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), continued with Duncan test at a 95% confidence level. The best growth of M. pelianthina mycelium was produced on PDYB medium at incubation time of 20 days with an average mycelial dry weight of 0.92 g/100 mL. M. pelianthina contained secondary metabolite compound groups of alkaloids, terpenoids, and flavonoids.

Coronary heart disease (CHD) patients experience various physical and psychological changes after an acute attack. Depression has been identified as a substantive psychological problem in CHD patients. Cardiac rehabilitation (CR) intends to restore optimal physical and psychological condition of the patients. However, less attention is bestowed towards the psychological aspect of CR. Research on the effects of CR on patient psychological problems has not been discussed in many studies in Indonesia. This study aimed to compare depression, recurrence, and fitness levels among CHD patients based on participation in Phase II CR Program. This research used a quantitative comparative method involving 66 CHD patients recruited by a purposive sampling technique. After applying the selection criteria for this study, the patients were assigned to the CR group (nCR=29) and the non-CR group (nNCR=37). Data were collected using the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI II) and instruments developed by researchers to measure recurrence and fitness levels. Data were analyzed using frequency distribution, chi-squared, and Mann-Whitney tests. Depression experienced by CHD patients in both groups with mean in non-CR and CR groups of 11.11 (± 7.8) and 8.59 (± 6.5), respectively. There was no significant difference in depression level among the groups (p>0.05)). Meanwhile, as many as 45% of the patients in the CR group and 22% in the non-CR group had never experienced chest pain (recurrence) within the past month. In addition, the physical fitness was perceived increased by 90% of the patients in the CR group and 0% in the non-CR group. Vulvovaginal Candidiasis (VVC) is a type of infection caused by the fungus Candida spp. The treatment of candidiasis usually uses antifungal drugs on Candida albicans. Pegagan (Centella asiatica (L.) Urban) is one of wild plants that have been used by the community as a drug. The content of secondary metabolite compounds found in pegagan, such as triterpenoids, alkaloids, flavonoids, and saponins can act as antifungal agents. A literature review in the form of national, international journals and digital books originated from various sites is carried out online. The result of the narrative analysis shows that the ethanol extract of pegagan leaves with a concentration of 75 x 103 ppm can inhibit the growth of C. albicans by up to 17.5 mm. The results of the toxicity prediction with three parameters shows that the active compounds of pegagan leaves are weak inhibitors, non-carcinogenic and in the toxicity test, it at most belongs to category III. Other than that, the spray formulation with a concentration of 1% (w/w) of pegagan leaf extract is found to be safe and non-irritant to skin.

The International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) has recently recommended that the occupational dose limit for the eye lens be reduced to 20 mSv per year, averaged over defined periods of 5 years, with no single year exceeding 50 mSv. ICRP clearly states that the recommendations are chiefly based on epidemiological evidence that suggested the eye lens dose threshold for cataract induction revised downwards from 2-5 Gy to about 0.5 Gy. Interventional medical workers are at greater health risk from radiation exposure to eyes as a result of the procedures they undertake than most other medical specialists. An extensive study has been carried out to measure the eye lens doses received by 373 interventional medical radiation workers in twelve large hospitals in Indonesia. Measurements were made using Thermo Scientific Harshaw thermoluminescence dosimeter (TLD) chip (size 3.2 mm × 3.2 mm × 0.15 mm) put inside an EYE-D holder placed in the worker’s temple. The procedures performed are grouped based on classification made by the UNSCEAR (United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation). The results showed that in general the measured data are in an agreement with some published data, even though a large range of doses was observed. The highest mean eye lens dose of 0.2378 mSv per procedure was received by interventionists who worked in the abdominal interventions procedure. Physical and mental readiness is needed before menarche because pre-puberty girl may feel anxiety and fear. Health education is one way that can be done because it will increase knowledge and information about menstruation so it will affect on good perceptions of menstruation and increase readiness in dealing with menarche. This research aimed to analyse the influence of health education by using audiovisual media on readiness to face menarche. This study uses the literature review method. The research was conducted by using Google Scholar and Proquest databases with keywords to find articles which are appropriate the inclusion and exclusion criteria to be reviewed. The results on reviewed articles, 3 articles prove that audiovisual education about menarche effective to increase readiness in dealing with menarche, 2 other articles prove that audiovisual media is more effective than the education without audiovisual media and leaflets. The conclusion based on 5 reviewed articles proves that audiovisual health education about menarche given to premenarche elementary student affect their readiness to face menarche because it can provide stimulus of sense for hearing and vision, so that the results obtained are more optimal. This review of the information on reproductive health can be used in the fields of education, approval, and community service regarding reproductive health in elementary school students.

The study aimed to obtain a functional drink formula from the cardamom rhizomes (FdCarrhi) in terms of total phenol content and its vitamin C. A total of five formulations of drinks containing cardamom rhizomes and other spices have been made by boiling all ingredients and leaving excess liquid reaching 30-35%. Sensory tests performed include color, taste, flavor, spiciness, aftertaste, and warm sensation. The panelists consisted of 55 people who were not trained, on a 1-5 hedonic scale; dislike extremely to like extremely. The total phenol, vitamin C, protein, fat, ash, water and carbohydrates of the preferred formula have been determined. The selected formula drink composed of 2.12% cardamom rhizomes, various spices, and water. The color, taste, flavor, spiciness, and aftertaste ranged from like-moderately to like-extremely, while warm-sensation ranged from neutral to like-moderately. The content of total phenols was 498.8 ppm and vitamin C is 36 mg/100 g. Fd-Carrhi rich in antioxidants.

Background: Cardiac chest pain is a typical complaint experienced by patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) in Emergency Departments (EDs). Pharmacological therapy is one major intervention used to reduce cardiac chest pain due to ACS. However, this therapy does not optimally and completely reduce cardiac chest pain; therefore, additional therapy is greatly required. Purpose: This study aimed to examine the effect of Dhikr therapy as one of the additional therapies for the cardiac chest pain experienced by patients with ACS in EDs. Methods: This quasi-experimental research was conducted using a pretest-posttest control group design. As many as 52 patients with ACS were recruited using a consecutive sampling technique and then equally divided to the intervention and control group. The intervention group received both pharmacological and Dhikr therapy approximately for 17 minutes, while the control group only received the pharmacological therapy based on the hospital’s protocol. The Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS) was used to measure the intensity of cardiac chest pain, and both paired and independent t-tests were utilized to analyze the data. Results: The results showed that there was a significant difference in pain reduction in both groups ( p =0.000), although the decrease in the intervention group was higher than that in the control group. Furthermore, the pain reduction was significantly different between groups ( p =0.021) Conclusion: Dhikr combined with the pharmacological therapy reduced the intensity of cardiac chest pain in ACS patients better than the use of pharmacological therapy alone. Therefore, this study recommends the combination of pharmacological and Dhikr therapy for patients with ACS.

Background Nephrotic syndrome causes loss of medium-sized plasma proteins and binding proteins, resulting in thyroid hormone deficiency. Objective To assess for potential correlations between subclinical hypothyroidism in pediatric nephrotic syndrome with albumin, globulin, and proteinuria. Methods This cross-sectional study was conducted in the Department of Pediatrics, Hasan Sadikin General Hospital, Bandung, West Java. All types of nephrotic syndrome patients aged 1 month to < 18 years were included. Blood and urine specimens were collected from the patients for albumin, globulin, thyroid function (T3, fT4 and TSH), and proteinuria tests and analyzed with standard techniques. Results There were 26 subjects, 20 males and 6 females. Ten subjects developed subclinical hypothyroidism, with mean albumin and thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) levels of 0.92 g/dL and 6.9 mIU/L, respectively. Hepatitis is a common worldwide public health problem that attacks almost every population in various countries. Machine learning has been widely used to classify various diseases, including hepatitis. In this research, the Random Forest algorithm will be used along with the dataset of patients with hepatitis to classify whether the patient's condition will live or die. Missing value and imbalance class exists in this dataset. In that class, the sample of healthy and sick patients that often occurs in the disease dataset. We replace missing values using mean and median and to deal with this imbalance of class, we use cost-sensitive methods to put penalty in classification. A manual selection feature process is also carried out to look for features that can be removed while still maintaining the quality of accuracy and classification. The validation method used is 10-fold Cross-Validation and using Random Forest Algorithm with tuned parameter to find the best result in classifying the class. This research prioritizes classification results by considering the small amount of data and the imbalance of the class, so it can classify the class more successfully and accurate for hepatitis patients. The accuracy value obtained is 85.80%.

This study aimed to identify the effect of bioactive compounds of C. comatus extract as an antidiabetic agent linked to glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) and antioxidant properties in increasing glutathione (GSH) levels. This study used six groups of Wistar rats (n = 24). Group 1 comprised the healthy control. Groups 2-6 received 45 mg of streptozotocin/kg body weight (BW) once. Group 3 was also given 45 mg of metformin/kg BW, whereas groups 4-6 were also given 250, 500, and 750 mg of C. comatus ethyl acetate extract/kg BW for 14 days. Antidiabetic effects of alkaloids and saponin were seen in blood glucose and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) degradation, increased insulin, and increased inhibition of GLP-1 through dipeptidyl peptidase-4 activity. Flavonoid antioxidants, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), and α-tocopherol (vitamin E) are useful in protecting pancreatic в cells from free radicals. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and Duncan's multiple range test. C. comatus ethyl acetate extract at doses of 250, 500, and 750 mg/kg BW worked as an antidiabetic and antioxidant agent that contained flavonoids (16.4 mg/L), alkaloids (2.97 mg/L), saponin, rutin (351.13 ppm), vitamin C (132.342 mg/L), and vitamin E (102.320 g/L). The 250-mg dose was effective in increasing insulin (8.11 mlU/mL) and reducing blood glucose (23.92%) and HbA1c (3.775%), whereas the 500-mg dose was effective in increasing levels of GLP-1 (1056.923 ng/L) and GSH (4.62 μmol/L).

Background: The Early Warning Score (EWS) system has been recommended for early identification tool of deterioration. However, its implementation has not been optimal; one of which is due to the low level of knowledge and understanding of EWS among nurses.Purpose: This study aimed to determine the effects of EWS tutorial simulation on nurses’ knowledge and clinical performance.Methods: This study employed a pretest posttest quasi-experimental design with a control group. Purposive sampling was used to recruit the samples of 42 respondents each in the intervention group and control group. Background: Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) has a high recurrence in Indonesia. This condition may occur as a result of the failure of compliance with post-acute management following a heart attack by CHD patients. One of the causes is the lack of effective health education. Objective : The aim of this study was to identify the feasibility of the workbook in improving patients’ self-efficacy (SE) and quality of life (QoL). Methods: This research used a quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control design. A pretest was done to the patients who were treated in the cardiac intensive unit, and a posttest was carried out at the end of the first and second month after the pretest. The population was all post-acute CHD patients who were admitted to the cardiac intensive unit in one of the referral hospitals in West Java, Indonesia. A purposive sampling was used and obtained 39 respondents who were divided into control and intervention groups. The intervention group was given a health education using a workbook, and the control group was given a direct health education. Self-efficacy was measured using a questionnaire developed by the authors, with high validity and reliability. A SF-12 instrument was used for measuring the quality of life. Data were analyzed using a descriptive quantitative analysis such as mean, Mann Whitney test, and Independent t-test. To estimate the effects of the intervention to QoL and SE, Kruskal Wallis test and One-way ANOVA were used. Results: The results showed that there was an increase in SE and QoL in both groups, either in the posttest 1 or posttest 2. The comparison of QoL in the pretest, posttest I and II obtained p =.452, .741, and .826, while SE between and within groups obtained p = .732, .220, and .009, respectively. Conclusions : Health education using the workbook was significantly more effective to increase SE than QoL of the CHD patients.

Patient satisfaction is a patient's level of feeling that arises as a result of the performance of health services obtained after the patient compares with what he expected so that patient satisfaction is needed quality service. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the quality of health services and the level of patient satisfaction. This study uses an analytical research design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study were 47 respondents. The study was analyzed using chi-square test results of the study showed that the independent variable that is the perception of the quality of health services consisting of five dimensions has a relationship with patient satisfaction is reliability with p = 0.000, responsiveness with p = 0.000, guarantee with p = 0.002, empathy with p = 0,000 and physical evidence with p = 0,000. The conclusion of this study is the relationship between the quality of service reliability with patient satisfaction, there is a responsive relationship with patient satisfaction, there is a guaranteed relationship with patient satisfaction, there is an empathy relationship with patient satisfaction and there is a relationship of physical evidence with patient satisfaction. The advice is expected to health workers to continue to improve the quality of health services in order to achieve patient satisfaction.

Introduction: Stress experienced by the baby will affect the body’s function by increasing the body’s metabolism. Nesting is used to reduce stress in premature babies. Nesting can be done in a supine or prone position. Few studies have examined the effects of body position on body weight and oxygen saturation. The objective of the study was to determine the difference in oxygen saturation and weight change on the use of nesting in the prone and supine positions in premature babies. Methods: The research used a quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of 30 premature babies, which was obtained using a consecutive sample technique. The independent variables were nesting positioning (supine and prone), and the dependent variables were oxygen saturation and body weight. The data of oxygen saturation and the baby’s weight were collected using pulse oximetry; the baby’s weight scale used observation sheets. The data was analysed using the t-test, Wilcoxon Sign Ranks Test, and Mann Whitney U Test. Results: The results showed that there was a difference in oxygen saturation before and after the use of nesting in the supine (p=0.001) and prone position (p=0.000). There was a weight difference before and after the use of nesting in both supine (p=0.000) and prone position (p=0.000). There was no difference in oxygen saturation value and infant weight, before or after, between the supine position and the prone position (p=0.18; p=0.9). Conclusion: The use of nesting in both positions (supine or prone) can increase oxygen saturation and infant weight. Researchers recommend the use of nesting with supine or prone positions routinely in premature babies.

Lingzhi mushroom is widely used as an alternative treatment to reduce blood pressure and blood sugar levels, to maximize the potential of the Lingzhi fungus antioxidant tests are carried out. This study aims to determine the potential antioxidant activity of water extract and 70% ethanol extract of Lingzhi mushroom with maceration extraction time variation and identification of compounds with Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS). This research begins with the determination of fresh lingzhi mushrooms then made simplicia and extracted by maceration with time variation with soaking time of 24 hours, 48 hours and 72 hours each with 2 solvents namely water and 70% ethanol. The extract was tested by phytochemistry followed by testing the antioxidant activity of Lingzhi mushroom extract (ganoderma lucidum) by DPPH method. Then the compounds were identified by Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS). Based on the results of research that maceration for 1 hour (1 day) Lingzhi mushroom with 70% ethanol extraction has the potential as an antioxidant with an IC50 value of 94.83 ppm. The results of identification with LC-MS in 70% ethanol extract as a compound that has potential as an antioxidant are Bisphenol M compounds, and 1- - [[2- (3,4-Dimethoxyphenyl) amino]} -3-methyl-2-octylpyrido [1 , 2-a] benzimidazole-4-carbonitrile.

Background: Schizophrenia is a mental disorder with a high incidence and relapse due to a lack of family support. Families do not understand how to treat patients with schizophrenia. There are several factors related to the family’s abilities in treating patients with schizophrenia, there are the level of family’s knowledge, perception, and burden. Objective: This study aimed to describe the knowledge, perception and burden of family in treating patients with schizophrenia who experience a relapse. Methods: The research used descriptive quantitative method. Samples were selected by consecutive sampling technique and obtained 100 respondents. Data were collected by a questionnaire consisting of family knowledge and perception developed by the researcher, and Zarit Burden Interview scale was used to measure the family burden. Data were analyzed using percentages, score T, and the Zarit Burden Interview analysis. Results: Findings showed that 31 respondents (31%) had good knowledge, 42 respondents (42%) had sufficient knowledge, and 27 respondents (27%) had insufficient knowledge. In terms of perception, 66 respondents (66%) had a positive perception and 33% had a negative perception. In addition, 42 respondents (42%) had moderate to heavy burden levels, 23 respondents (23%) had a very heavy level of heavy burden, and 3 respondents (3%) with very heavy levels of burden. Conclusions: Based on the results, it is necessary to increase the frequency of health education for the families. In addition, it is also important to hold a sharing program between families to reduce family burden.

BACKGROUND: Allergic asthma is a degenerative atopic disease caused by allergic or hypersensitivity type-1. More than 50% of people with allergic asthma are caused by the presence of house dust mites (HDMs) allergens. METHODS: The cellular immunity response was evaluated through a peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) culture isolated from blood, using the ficoll gradient technique. Subjects were atopic asthma groups and non-atopic asthma groups. PBMC from each subject cultured was stimulated with HDMs allergen, then incubated in a CO2 5% incubator, 37o C for 72 hours. With the multiplex assay method, interferon (IFN)-γ, interleukin (IL)-13 and IL-10 were measured, meanwhile indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase level (IDO) was measured by the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) sandwich methods. RESULTS: The IFN-γ production in the supernatant of PBMC cultures was stimulated by phytohemagglutinin (PHA), Roswell Park Memorial Institute (RPMI) medium and allergens. The IFN-γ production in allergen-stimulated supernatants showed higher level of IFN-γ in the nonatopic group (4,681,455±3,434,851) than atopic group (4,363,300±2,067,941) even though it was not statistically significant ( p =0.078). There were no differences between the mean of IL-13 production in atopic asthma group and non-atopic group. The IL-10 production in allergenstimulated supernatants was shown to be higher in nonatopic group and were statistically significantly different ( p =0.015). The IDO production in allergen-stimulated supernatants was shown to be higher in the non-atopic group (272,231±269,564) than in the actopic group (13,273±400), and it was significantly different (p=0.007). CONCLUSION: Cellular immune profile of subjects with allergic asthma to Dermatophagoides pterronyssinus (Der p) is characterized by a type-2 inflammatory response that is dominant compared to type-1 inflammation (higher IL-13 ratio compared to IFN-γ) and to the role of anti-inflammation (higher IL-13 ratio compared to IL-10). The decline in IDO production in allergic asthma subjects to Der p is thought to be related to the low cellular immune response in expressing IFN-γ compared to IL-13. Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a condition where a person does not have immunity. The disease can be transmitted from pregnant women to the child they are carrying, in an effort to detect early HIV, VCT needs to be done. Karanganyar Community Health Center data in 2017 VCT service coverage for pregnant women in 2017 was less than 26.7%. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the use of VCT in pregnant women. This type of research is quantitative by using descriptive correlation method and cross sectional approach. The population is 70 pregnant women who were obtained by purposive sampling technique. Data obtained by closed questionnaire and data analyzed using frequency distribution and chi square test. The results showed knowledge about VCT examination included less (52.9%), attitudes included negative (55.7%), secondary education (52.9%), most did not work (67.1%), more than half received less support from their husbands (57.1%), and most did not utilize VCT services (72.9%). Factors related to the use of VCT are knowledge (p value 0,000), attitude (p value 0,000), education (p value 0,000) and husband's support (p value 0,000), unrelated factors are work (p value 0.196). The conclusion from this study factors related to the use of VCT are knowledge, attitudes, education and husband's support. Therefore, it is better for health workers, especially nurses, to provide nursing services to pregnant women, especially the use of VCT services as an effort in early detection of HIV in pregnant women. The results of this activity are the enthusiasm of participants who increasingly understand about anemia. and it is highly recommended to take Fe tablets and consume lots of foods containing iron and protein to facilitate the blood circulation system. By detecting it early so as not to disturb the reproductive system in adolescents.

An engineer needed the ability to design an experiment research to be effective and efficient to obtain optimal results. The purpose of this experiment is to determine the fastest rate of freezing saline solution. The research process begins with determining the independent variables as much as possible and determines the three independent variables to be tested. After determine variables, and then create table factorial design to determine the research steps as much as 8 times. Then determine the most influential variables using Yates's algorithm was then tested again using response surface methodology (RSM), but for this study only uses two steps of the three step RSM. So it can be concluded that the lower temperature and salinity the faster the rate of freezing for both type of salt, Krosok and salt.

Interventional cardiology is a branch of cardiology that manages the catheter based treatment of structural heart illnesses. These minimally invasive procedures involve inserting catheters and other devices through superficial arterial and venous access sites. Due to increased reliability and advancing technology, the number and complexity of interventional cardiology procedures haves increased in recent years. The increasing complexity of the procedures, however, require longer fluoroscopic duration, leading to increased exposure time to ionizing radiation for the patient and also for the medical staff since they need to remain close to the patient throughout the procedure. This study attempts to investigate the occupational and patient doses during the course of several interventional cardiology procedures in Indonesia, i.e. CA, PCI, cathscan, PA, PTCA, TACE, PAC and peripheral vascular. Occupational doses were measured by using individually packed three chips of TLD-100 placed in over- and under-thyroid shield used by medical staff, over- and under-apron in waist position, inside a special ‘eye-D’ holder, and inside a ring holder, while patient doses were estimated by using individually packed three TLD-100 chips attached in the x-ray tube. All TLDs were calibrated in the Secondary Standard Dosimetry Laboratory (SSDL) Jakarta. The study was performed in three big hospitals in the cities of Jakarta, Yogyakarta and Semarang. The results show that PCI procedure was the most performed one during the course of this study and gave the highest radiation doses to the staff for all type of doses calculated and measured. The maximum effective doses, eye lens doses, extremity doses, thyroid doses and gonad/ovary doses were 0.098 mSv, 0.1967 mSv, 0.7604 mSv, 0.1760 mSv and 0.0990 mSv, respectively. In the case of patient doses, the mean value of DAP for PTCA procedure of 776.76 Gy cm 2 was the highest compared with those for other procedures. The results of measurement for occupational doses were in general similar to those reported by other authors, but not for patient doses that was found to be 4-5 times higher. Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of Psych education on the incidence of postpartum depression at Syech Yusuf Gowa Hospital.Method: This study was a quasi experimental with pre-post test design. The population in this study werepostpartum mothers hospitalized in the Syech Yusuf Gowa Hospital Indonesia during research conducted.The amounted 30 subjects participated were taken by simple random sampling. Data were analyzed bypaired sample t-test using SPSS for windows.Result: The results showed that there was significantly influence of the provision of Psych education on postpartum depression in Syech Yusuf Gowa Regional Hospital with p=0.002 based on statistical test results.Conclusion: Psych education should be followed up every day to see the mother’s progress in overcomingdepression.

The main clinical manifestations of patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) during the acute period is chest pain. Handling complaints of pain patients with ACS definitively done with medication; however, it is possible to do additional nonpharmacological therapies to optimize the results. Nonpharmacological treatment can be performed in various ways, one of them with heat therapy. This literature review aimed to determine the use of heat therapy as an additional nonpharmacological intervention in reducing the intensity of chest pain in patients with ACS. Four electronic databases were used to carry out systematic searches on articles, namely Proquest, Science Direct, Pubmed, and CINAHL-Ebsco. The combination of keywords was "heat therapy" AND "chest pain" AND "acute coronary syndrome" NOT "Literature review" OR "Literature review" OR "Overview" OR "Systematic Review" OR "Meta-analysis." The inclusion criteria used were experimental study articles, peer-reviewed articles, and research articles written in English and performed in the period between 2014-2019. The search results obtained three articles that met the inclusion criteria and analyzed. The results of the study found that heat therapy effective in reducing the intensity of chest pain, the use of analgesic opioids, and improving the patient's hemodynamics. In conclusion, the therapy can be considered used as adjunctive therapy to reduce chest pain in patients with ACS with certain criteria. In addition, further research is also needed to see the effectiveness of this therapy if it is implemented with more frequent frequencies and compare its effectiveness in reducing chest pain if the application is given to the anterior or posterior of the chest.

Quality of life of patients CAD after PCI needs to be seen as an evaluation of the interventions carried out, which need to be studied continuously by looking at health status, socioeconomic, and differences in the measurement tools used can be found differences from each item measured. This study aims to look at the quality of life of patients with CAD after PCI at the cardiac center of RSUP Dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a cross-sectional approach. The samples in this study were all patients CAD after PCI who were outpatient at RSHS Bandung. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique and obtained 100 respondents. Data is collected using Macnew instruments by analyzing data using frequency distribution.The results showed that 95 respondents (95%) had a high quality of life. The quality of life results based on subvariables from highest to lowest are obtained as follows; emotional subvariable (94%) with a mean of 5.90, social subvariable (94%) with a mean of 5.84 and physical subvariable (93%) with a mean of 5.60.In conclusion, almost all respondents have a high quality of life which is reinforced by the results of high social and emotional aspects, but the physical aspects still need to be improved by providing adequate information regarding the patient's disease and the benefits of attending cardiac rehabilitation to improve the quality of life. The human autologous hepatocyte matrix implant is a promising alternative procedure to counter liver damage. We assessed the outcome of human hepatocytes isolation from cirrhotic liver compared to the clinical and histological scores of disease severity. A total of 11 patients with various clinical scores (CTP and MELD) and histological score (Metavir, fibrosis) of liver cirrhosis were included in the hepatocyte matrix implant clinical phase I study. The liver segment and pancreatic tissue were harvested from each patient, and hepatocytes and cells of islets of Langerhans were isolated. The freshly isolated human hepatocytes were coseeded with the islet cells onto poly(l-lactic acid) (PLLA) scaffolds, cultured, and transplanted back into the patient. Human hepatocytes were isolated from 11 cirrhotic liver specimens with a resulting yield of 1.4 ± 0.5 × 106 cells per gram of the liver specimen and a viability rate of 52 ± 13%. It was found that the yield and viability of the liver cells were not correlated with the clinical and histological scores of the liver cirrhosis. A correlation was found between the hepatocyte yield obtained and the average number of hepatocytes counted in 10 microscopic fields of view. More viable cells were obtained from cirrhotic livers caused by chronic hepatitis B as compared to chronic hepatitis C in the same MELD score range. There was no correlation between the clinical and histological disease severity scores of liver cirrhosis and the outcome of hepatocytes isolation. It seems that the yield could depend on the type of hepatitis underlying the cirrhotic tissue. The study was registered at www.clinicaltrial.gov with the study identifier: NCT01335568.
