Background : Self-management in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) type II aims to control blood sugar levels and prevent the occurrence of disease complications. The media must be able to help understand information. One of the media that can be used is audiovisual that can stimulate vision and hearing senses. Audio Visual Media comes with images, background songs, sounds, and colors so it can cause interest. Purpose : Developing audiovisual about self-management in type II Diabetes Mellitus patients. Method s : This research used R&D (research and development) methods with the ADDIE model. This research was only done through the process from analysis, design, and development process with 3 expert validation testing and 10 limited trials. The Analysis of data used is quantitative descriptive with a Likert scale of the value range of 1-5 and qualitative descriptive in the form of comments, suggestions, and criticisms. Result s : the results of this study had developed 2 audiovisual videos using Indonesian. Average audiovisual media assessment results from 3 experts and 10 limited trials got categories worth using . Conclusion: Audiovisual media presents general knowledge material about diabetes mellitus and self-management in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients and is equipped with animated images, backsound music and dubbing material. Audiovisual about self-management in type II diabetes mellitus iscategorized as suitable for use.

Preceptors bertugas mengajar, menasihati, menginspirasi, panutan, serta mendukung tumbuh kembang mahasiswa keperawatan. Model bimbingan preceptroship adalah proses pendelegasian wewenang dari pembimbing kepada mahasiswa. Metode Pelatihan Preceptorship memfasilitasi pembelajaran tentang pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan perilaku preceptor. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan bekal bimbingan klinis dalam menerapkan pembelajaran klinik aktif. Metode kegiatan melalui pelatihan Preceptorship, dengan pre dan post test, ceramah, simulasi peran, evaluasi, dan pendampingan bimbingan klinis. Preceptor adalah 56,5% perempuan, dan 52,2% memiliki pengalaman pelatihan bimbingan klinis. Rerata pengetahuan sebelum pelatihan 27,74 dengan SD 12,638, dan rerata 52,74 dan SD 20,324 setelah pelatihan. Ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan dengan p-value = 0,000 (p 0,05). 31 CI (77,5%) menyatakan tema pelatihan sangat baik, 23 CI (57,5%) menyatakan ketepatan waktu sangat baik, 23 CI (53,5%) menyatakan bahwa layanan penyelenggara sangat baik. Pelatihan Metode Pembelajaran Preceptorship meningkatkan pengetahuan pembimbing klinik. Kegiatan ini dapat diintegrasikan dalam perencanaan pembelajaran klinik kerjasama antara pihak pendidikan dan pelayanan

Background: Stroke is a brain tissues damage caused by blood supply disruption to the brain. Effects that often occurs in stroke patients is weakness in one side of the body, such as the upper extremity. Exercises to stimulate muscle hands strength can be a combination softball handling exercise and ROM. Purpose: This research aims to determine the effect of a combination softball handling exercise and ROM on muscle strength in non haemoragic stroke patients at Roemani Muhammadiyah Semarang Hospital. Methods: Type of research is Quasi Experiment with a non-rondomised control group pre-post test design. There were 32 respondents including in this research using purposive sampling to select the sample. The research data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Test to determine the effect on the intervention group and control group, then tested using the Mann Whitney test to determine the effectiveness difference between a intervention group and control group. Results: the Wilcoxon Test showed that there was an effect of a combination softball handlingand ROM on muscle strength in non haemoragic stroke patients ( p value 0.000) , and there was an effect on the control group without intervention ( p value 0.003 ). While the Mann Whitney test showed that the combination group was more effective in increasing the muscle strength p value = 0.001 (

Introduction: Salivary pH or acidity level changes have detrimental effects on the teeth and oral mucosa which will lead to complications of the periodontal disease. Water decoction of the leaves of Moringa Olivera contains flavonoids that act as an anti-inflammatory. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of Moringa leaves mouthwash against salivary pH of patients with Diabetes Mellitus. Methods: This study design is a quasi-experimental, pretest-posttest with the control group by measuring the pH of saliva before and after rinsing with a decoction of the leaves of 50%, 100%, Moringa Olivera and the boiled water. Respondents were patients with diabetes mellitus type 1 and two at hospitals and health centers in Semarang as many as 90 respondents specified by purposive sampling technique divided into three groups. Result: The results showed no effect of gargling decoction of the leaves of 50%, 100% Moringa, and the boiled water on the pH saliva of DM patients. Conclusion: Moringa leaf herb cannot be used as a drop of mouthwash to raise the pH of patients' saliva with Diabetes Mellitus

Background : Surgery will cause anxiety. One way to reduce anxiety in preoperative patients is through health education using leaflet media. Leaflets are pieces of paper that contain writing and images to convey a message and are easy to carry. Purpose : This study was to analyze the effect of health education using leaflet media on anxiety levels in preoperative patients at Ungaran Hospital. Methods : This study used Quasi-Experiment with the design of two group pre-post. Bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxon test. The sample amounted to 30 respondents consisting of 15 respondents in the intervention group and 15 respondents in the control group using the Consecutive Sampling approach that met the inclusion criteria. Anxiety level assessment was given twice before and after treatment and anxiety levels were measured using the HARS (Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale) questionnaire. Results : The results showed that there was an effect of health education using leaflet media on anxiety levels (p=0,001) and there was an effect of health education without leaflets on anxiety levels (p=0,001). The post-test scores of the intervention group 9,13 and the control group 15,27. Conclusion : Health education using leaflet media can be applied as an alternative to delivering information before surgery to reduce anxiety.

Pasien yang dirawat di ruang Intensive Care Unit (ICU) merupakan pasien kritis yang dalam keadaan terancam jiwanya karena kegagalan atau disfungsi pada satu atau multipel organ yang disertai gangguan hemodinamik. Pasien kritis dalam keadaan penurunan kesadaran memiliki keterbatasan dalam mobilisasi, yang berdampak terhadap tekanan darah dan saturasi oksigen yang tidak stabil. Salah satu intervensi yang dapat dilakukan untuk menangani hal tersebut dengan mobilisasi progresif level I berupa head of bed, ROM, dan rotasi lateral. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh mobilisasi progresif level I terhadap tekanan darah dan saturasi oksigen pada pasien kritis dengan penurunan kesadaran di ruang ICU. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pra eksperimental dengan rancangan pre-test and post-test one group design. Responden penelitian ditetapkan dengan non probability sampling dengan metode total sampling. Penelitian dilaksanakan di ruang ICU pada 15 responden yang terdiri dari 10 responden perempuan dan 5 responden laki-laki dan memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Uji dependent t-test menunjukkan ada pengaruh mobilisasi progresif level I terhadap tekanan darah sistolik (p = 0,024), tekanan diastolik (p = 0,002), dan saturasi oksigen (p = 0,000). Mobilisasi Progresif Level I dapat meningkatkan tekanan darah dan saturasi oksigen pada pasien kritis dengan penurunan kesadaran. Mobilisasi Progresif Level I dapat dijadikan salah satu intervensi keperawatan untuk meningkatkan tekanan darah dan saturasi oksigen pasien kritis dengan penurunan kesadaran dengan tekanan darah di bawah normal. AbstractThe effect of progressive level I mobilization on blood pressure and oxygen saturation in critical patients with decreased awareness. Patients who are treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) are critical patients who are in danger of failure or dysfunction in one or multiple organs accompanied by hemodynamic disturbances. Critical patients in a state of reduced consciousness have limitations in mobilization, which have an impact on blood pressure and unstable oxygen saturation. One intervention that can be done to deal with this is with progressive level I mobilization in the form of head of bed, ROM, and lateral rotation. This study aims to determine the effect of progressive level I mobilization on blood pressure and oxygen saturation in critical patients with decreased awareness in the ICU. This research method uses pre-experimental design with pre-test and post-test one group design. Research respondents were determined by non-probability sampling with total sampling method. The study was conducted in the ICU room in 15 respondents consisting of 10 female respondents and 5 male respondents and met the inclusion criteria. The dependent t-test showed that there was an effect of progressive level I mobilization on systolic blood pressure (p= 0.024), diastolic pressure (p= 0.002), and oxygen saturation (p= 0.000). Level I Progressive Mobilization can increase blood pressure and oxygen saturation in critical patients with decreased consciousness. Level I Progressive Mobilization can be used as one of the nursing interventions to increase blood pressure and oxygen saturation of critical patients with decreased consciousness with below normal blood pressure.
