Bachelor's thesis with the name "Relationship of grammar school students to media education and media literacy: case study of Grammar school Písek" is about media education at grammar school in Písek and the attitude of students towards it. The theoretical part is dealing with basic terms of a given issue, media education from research point of view, the development of media education in Europe and the current level of media education at Grammar school Písek. The practical part contains a case study with the authors research via semi-structured interviews with students at grammar school in Písek. Students of the second and third year are involved in the research because these students have media education at the moment or already had it in the previous year but currently learn partly of it in other subjects. The main aim was to find out, how students perceive media education, what is their relationship towards it and how they percieve it. In the end of this thesis the author evaluates opinions of students on media education and their relationship and approach to it.

The bachelor's thesis deals with media education, which belongs to the cross-cutting topics and must be included in the teaching during basic education. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on basic definitions and concepts related not only to media education, but also to media pedagogy and media literacy. It also describes the current role of media education as a cross- cutting topic in the Framework Curriculum for Primary Education. The practical part answers three main research questions through a questionnaire survey. Teachers and principals of primary schools and junior high schools were involved in the research. The aim was to find out whether media education is incorporated into teaching at all, and in which way it is done and in which subjects.

The topic of the Bachelor thesis is media education for tweeners. The aim of this thesis is to define the theoretical basis as well as practical recommendations for tweenager media education, which can be applied in both, formal media education by teachers at schools and informal media education by parents at home. This Bachelor thesis has two parts, theoretical and practical, and deals with an interdisciplinary examining of media education in the context of media experience and the way tweenaregs come acroos media at school, at home and in third spaces (in their free time). The aim of this work is to find out how the tweenagers undrestand the media; in what way, where and with whom they come across media; how the media are used by them, how the media are perceived and which personal and educational experiences, risks and benefits the tweenagres associate with media. The theoretical part of the work gathers the information from literature and tries to insight into the field of formal and informal media education and media literacy, the way of realising media education in the Czech Republic, changing form of childhood, children's culture, tweenagers' media experience and positive or negative influence of media. The first part defines the content of media literacy and its levels and describes the main approaches to media education. Then it tries to outline the transformation process of the educational system in the country. The second part provides an overview of the introduction of media education in its systematization processes, institutionalization and implementation. The interest is focused on the description of the implementation process in the 90s of the last century and in the beginning of this century. The final part is dedicated to two views on the implementation of media education.

This thesis Development of Medial Education and Literacy in Germany presents formation and progresive development of medial education in our neighbouring state. Firstly the basic concepts are explained, then description of Medial eduacation evolution is following. This thesis presents also current state of medial education: which way it tends and how it is practised in particular grade of education. The practical part ilustrates findings from the qualitative research: the experts from Germany responded three fields of questions: general introduction into medial education, medial education at school and non-school medial education.
