As organizations increasingly view information as one of their most valuable assets, which supports the creation and distribution of their products and services, information security will be an integral part of the design and operation of organizational business processes. Yet, risks associated with cyber attacks are on the rise. Organizations that are subjected to attacks can suffer significant reputational damage as well as loss of information and knowledge. As a consequence, effective leadership is cited as a critical factor for ensuring corporate level attention for information security. However, there is a lack of empirical understanding as to the roles strategic leaders play in shaping and supporting the cyber security strategy. This study seeks to address this gap in the literature by focusing on how senior leaders support the cyber security strategy. The authors conducted a series of exploratory interviews with leaders in the positions of Chief Information Officer, Chief Security Information Officer, and Chief Technology Officer. The findings revealed that leaders are engaged in both transitional, where the focus is on improving governance and integration, and transformational support, which involves fostering a new cultural mindset for cyber resiliency and the development of an ecosystem approach to security thinking. Managerial relevance statement Our findings provide interesting insights for managers particularly those in the role of Chief Information Officers (CIOs), Chief Security Information Officers (CSIOs), and Chief Technology Officers (CTOs). We propose a Cyber Security Strategy Framework (CSSF) which can be used by these information/technology managers to design an effective organizational strategy to develop cyber resilience in their organization. Our framework suggests that managers should focus on transitional and transformational support. The transitional support focuses on improving governance and integration whereas transformational support focuses on the emphasis of fostering a new cultural mindset for cyber resiliency and the development of an ecosystem approach to security thinking. Our findings provide good evidence showing how leaders can support more effective cyber security initiatives.

During the last two decades, the decentralized execution of business processes has been one of the main research topics in Business Process Management. Several models (languages) for processes' specification in order to facilitate their distributed execution, have been proposed. LSAWfP is among the most recent in this area: it helps to specify administrative processes with grammatical models indicating, in addition to their fundamental elements, the permissions (reading, writing and execution) of each actor in relation to each of their tasks. In this paper, we present a model for a completely decentralized and artifact-centric execution of administrative processes specified using LSAWfP. The presented model puts particular emphasis on actors' views: it then allows the confidential execution of certain tasks by ensuring that, each actor potentially has only a partial perception of the processes' global execution states. The model thus solves a very important problem in business process execution, which is often sidelined in existing approaches. To accomplish this, the model rely on three projection algorithms allowing to partially replicate the processes' global execution states at a given moment, to consistently update the obtained partial states and to deduce new coherent global states. The proposal of these three algorithms, the proof of underlying mathematical tools' stability and a proposal of their implementation, are this paper's main contributions.

Nyong Group is one of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) located in Sleman, Yogyakarta. Nyong group has several business units, namely nyong shoes and care Yogya, shoes and care Cilacap, nyong donuts, and nyong stalls (food, snacks and chili sauce). The problems by IbM partners include; First, (1) There is no Point of Sales application that uses inventory to meet the needs of the production process or is sold again, (2) Not yet has this Inventory covering raw materials, in-process goods, and goods so (finished goods). The output targets in this program are (1) the application of point of sales applications for recording sales transactions, (2) Adding an inventory application to the created point of sales applications. The service program is carried out in 2 (two) forms; First, (1) design of a point of sales application for Nyong Group's sales transactions. Second, making an inventory application to be able to determine whether to record goods based on arrival time or the amount of stock you can determine to record goods based on arrival time or stock amount. The implementation of this program is designed in four stages of activity, namely: (1) Coordination and preparation stage (2) Design stage (3) Science and technology implementation stage (4) Evaluation and refinement stage.

With the outbreak of COVID-19, the national economy has been depressed because people cannot produce and assume goods normally. Thus, offline shopping become a problem in daily life. People have to adapt to the new social environment to make a living. Apparently, E-commerce is the most important result of economic development brought by the experiences of the business method during this pandemic. This paper introduces and uses the SWOT analysis method to list the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of E-commerce. There’s a case study of one of the most popular E-commerce companies in China, JingDong, in order to illustrate the strength of selling products online during COVID-19. This paper mainly focuses on the E-commerce development in China during the pandemic, and the research result shows that the platform business model, specifically the E-commerce, is the best choice for developing enterprises during the pandemic. How the business should choose for their progress can be found in this paper as well. Although E-commerce might have vices in some parts, due to the high profits brought to the enterprises by E-commerce, more people may still be willing to engage in the operation of E-commerce, and expand the team of Chinese E-commerce, thus promote economic prosperity as soon as possible.

Marketing of palm sugar products in District of Lima Puluh Kota is still managed traditionally, rarely use online marketing. Product marketing of Gusereen still relies on word of mouth and the limited use of groups on social media. This training activity aims to provide knowledge on how to make imooji digital brochures to increase promotion and sales of Gusereen products. The collection of data and information is conducted by observing and interviewing the needs and situations experienced by partners, business processes and obstacles faced. Training method is using the PLA (Participatory Learning and Action) method. Exposure of lesson materials to partners is conducted by providing information on the use of imooji, the choice of packages provided, and how to use imooji. Participants get lesson learn and guidance through the direct practices of using the application. The training practices carried out include 1) How to log in and register as a new user; 2) How to use the imooji user interface; 3) Choose a preferred and suitable template for Gusereen products; 4) Upload photos of the products; 5) Change text or product images; 6) Save and preview the created imooji; and 7) Publish or share imooji on social media. This training succeeded in increasing participants' knowledge by 45% from pre-test to post-test. Participants benefit from the training provided and 87% of participants understand the material provided. This training is expected to be the beginning of the transfer of knowledge and information to the palm sugar business community, especially for palm sugar business actors in Labuah Gunuang.

Introduction. This study aims to identify research data curation activities and business processes at PDDI LIPI Data Collection Methods. This research used a case study approach with interviews and observations of five informants from June to July 2021. Data Analysis Three stages of coding are used to sort, identify, and associate categories with existing theories. Presentation of data was conducted through the description of entities from business processes based on the business process model and notation (BPMN). Results and Discussion. Four main activities of the curation process were carried out. The data owners and curators become actors in the process, and between the two requires trust, communication, and collaboration in their implementation. In addition, validation of the business processes was conducted to show that the process has been running scientifically. Conclusion. The flow of knowledge in these activities is documented in a structured manner based on mapped business procedures and processes. It is necessary to conduct periodic reviews and analyzes of time and resources. Further research should focus on human resources, policy documents, and facilities related to research data curation activities.

Digital technologies significantly impact on manufacturing firms as they innovate their business processes in response to rapidly changing environments. Therefore, the proper use of digital technology to promote innovative behavior has become an important topic in research. However, few studies have examined how firm-level digital transformation affects individual-level innovative behavior. Drawing on the minority dissent perspective, we explored the mechanism by which digital transformation affects innovative behavior. Surveying 540 participants from Chinese manufacturing firms revealed that firm-level digital transformation was significantly correlated with both crossfunctional minority dissent and individual-level innovative behavior. Moreover, minority dissent played a partial mediating role in the relationship between digital transformation and innovative behavior. This study sheds new light on how firm-level digital transformation can determine individual-level innovative behavior.

With this chapter, we depart from the high-level and strategic perspective that has characterized the discussion up to the previous chapter, and start delving deeper into the operational aspects of managing innovation and product development activities. In doing so, we will consider the organization of applied research and product development projects together, not in the ignorance of the differences existing between these two fields, but because the managerial challenges that characterize them make them nonetheless quite close to one another. This chapter will deal with organizational aspects and focus on human resources, while the following Chap. 11 will view such activities as business processes.

PurposeQuality 4.0 is managing quality during the fourth industrial revolution. It is used by modern-day organizations as a strategy to compete and thrive in the marketplace. The purpose of this study is to analyze the potential impact of Quality 4.0 on organizational performance.Design/methodology/approachThis study through an integrative literature review critically analyzed 41 previous literature articles to study the impact of Quality 4.0 on various metrics of organizational performance.FindingsThe results of the review suggest that Quality 4.0 may have an impact on financial performance, customer value proposition, internal business processes, learning and growth, environmental performance and social performance.Research limitations/implicationsThis study is limited by the databases reviewed. The second limitation is that this study considered articles published in the English language. Therefore, articles published in other languages were not considered in this study.Practical implicationsOrganizations can use the findings of this study to strongly leverage the implementation of Quality 4.0 to reach their strategic objectives and improve competitive advantage.Originality/valueThis is the first study to explore the impact of Quality 4.0 on organizational performance through an integrative literature review.

El presente trabajo de investigación, estudió los principales desafíos que enfrentan las PYMES ecuatorianas para adaptarse y competir en una economía digital, cuyo propósito, fue el de aportar con información que permitió exponer un conjunto de mecanismos que posibiliten su participación interactiva en línea. Para lograr este objetivo, el autor realizó una investigación descriptiva documental, mediante un enfoque cualitativo, utilizando como referencia de estudio, los procesos empresariales que se llevan a cabo en el Ecuador, relacionados a: (1) los sistemas de pago; (2) las plataformas digitales de comercio; y, (3) las operaciones logísticas, que según el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (en adelante BID), deben digitalizarse para que las PYMES puedan fortalecer su adopción del comercio electrónico. Dentro de los principales resultados obtenidos, se encontraron que, un alto porcentaje de la población (49%) no está bancarizado, por lo tanto, no utilizan medios de pago electrónico; sobre las plataformas digitales, estos aún se encuentran en etapa de desarrollo para consolidarse como herramienta de las PYMES en un mercado competitivo; y, sobre las operaciones logísticas, se identificó que su aplicación debe estar orientado en la reducción de plazos de entrega, y en mejorar la comunicación con los clientes. Los hallazgos encontrados, sugieren que la digitalización de estos procesos requiere, además de la implicación en la gestión de cambio de las PYMES ecuatorianas, del apoyo y participación de actores externos, tanto públicos, como privados, ya que estos pueden desempeñar un rol clave en la facilitación y desarrollo de una hoja de ruta, acorde a los recursos y necesidades de cada caso.

In this paper, with a view to the high levels of absence due to sickness and presenteeism, it is explored how management and team leadership can be integrated on a more sustained basis in health prevention. Private sector enterprises on one hand, and organisations in the public sector, on the other, pursue and prioritise in this aspect different approaches, which are traceable to their different traditions. Specifically in Germany in the public sector, the principle of due care has had a long tradition that grows out of social responsibility, which contrasts with the perspective of commercial enterprises that emphasises the economic aspect. The study undertakes to determine the particular strengths of each of the sectors and to demonstrate their different approaches. The examination refers in its methodology to qualitative social research. In the systemically structured survey design, Seventy six experts were approached with questions concerning different aspects such as corporate culture, business processes, organisational integration, qualification, risk assessments, and concrete actions in health prevention. Complementary to the expert survey, documents such as corporate guidelines and policies, management tools, results from risk assessments and employee surveys or quality offensives were referred to. This analysis supplied insights on how the declared health prevention policies in an organisation can be effectively implemented at the strategic and operational level in corporate culture and leadership culture with a long-term continuity, and which organisational prerequisites in the corporate hierarchy and corporate decision making and business processes may reinforce and sustain successful implementation of health prevention. Of particular importance in the process is operative management. For the sake of effective team involvement in own and team-specific health prevention, an eight-stage team feedback was devised, which includes elements of self-reflection and perception by others in an iteratively structured process.

Cloud computing allows enterprises to incorporate applications and computational resources as services, and thus, enterprises can concentrate on their business processes, without concerning the development, configuration and maintenance of these applications and resources. Integration platforms are one of these services that allow enterprises to integrate applications in order to reduce the maintenance costs and operations of the integration of on-premises platforms. However, high performance on resources offered by the cloud, demands improvement in task scheduling of integration platforms. Our literature review has identified a lack of studies in the field of enterprise application integration, focusing on specificities and vulnerabilities of the task scheduling of integration processes. This is a pioneer work regarding the characterisation of the scheduling of tasks of integration processes. We propose a ranking according to their conceptual models and apply this ranking to five integration processes. Then, we have statistically analysed the influence of each component of their conceptual models on the performance of the execution of these integration processes. We characterise the task scheduling of integration processes and presented a mathematical equation for the makespan as a function of the components of this characterisation. This study can guide software engineers in the optimal task scheduling for integration processes, which can improve the performance runtime systems regarding using the computational resources and result in minimisation of costs of companies. info:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersion

Aim. The presented study aims to examine the specific features as well as organizational and technical aspects of production logistics, taking into account its potential for using digital technologies.Tasks. The authors consider the essence, purpose, and goals of production logistics; analyze major logistics systems used in production logistics; assess the prospects for using digital technologies in this sphere.Methods. This study uses the methodology of strategic and logistics management, the systems approach, life cycle theory, general scientific methods of generalization, comparative, retrospective, and structural-functional analysis.Results. The production and logistics systems of a company are considered as equivalent elements in the context of managing material flows in internal and external supply chains and achieving the company’s operational and development goals. In this regard, production logistics is shown as part of both logistics and production, which affects its organization and architecture. Under modern conditions, an approach based on certain data is widely used in production logistics. It requires active introduction of digital technologies in production logistics, the purpose of which is not to achieve technical or organizational perfection of business processes, but to select technologies from the perspective of creating additional value.Conclusions. In the course of the study, three categories of activities associated with production logistics are identified. For each of these categories, the prospects and recommended classification of digital technologies are defined. Particular emphasis is placed on improving the quality and efficiency of data use. According to the authors, all information systems and digital technologies used in production logistics should be highly reliable. Thus, introduction of any new technologies in production logistics requires careful consideration. Regardless of the type of technology, a systems approach to the organization and development of production logistics is a prerequisite for the efficient operation of the company as a whole.

The aim of the work is to evaluate the intermediate results of the digitalization process of transport and logistics services in Russian agriculture. A methodology has been applied that uses data from Rosstat, the GooglePlay service and the Yandex.Radar service as a source of information. The study shows that one of the main trends in the cargo transportation market is the introduction of new technologies, such as transport and warehouse management systems, digital services that automate the business processes of carriers, mobile applications for ordering or providing cargo transportation services. The processes of digitalization of transport and logistics services in Russian agriculture are supported by the state. The implementation of the projects "Digital Platform of the transport complex" and "Digital Agriculture" will ensure cost reduction and improve the quality of transport and logistics services. The creation of a digital platform will unite all market participants in one information space and increase the transparency and traceability of cargo transportation.

Honey is a hype product as immunity booster in the health shock covid-19. Unbalance of supply and demand has raised the price and made the consumer could not afford it. Besides that, global issue about unoriginal honey which spreads in society has made the consumer has negative stigma on SMEs honey product because it does not have complete food safety certification as commercial company. Objective of the research was to increase the consumer trust through originality assurance for honey product from traceability system. The research is a case study with FGD method and then followed by Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) analysis and Business Process Notation as solution. Result of the research showed that the distribution aspect has great power to affect the stakeholder and logistic aspects, due to success of both aspects are determined by distribution aspect. While the stakeholder aspect does not have any power to affect other aspect because if the business system has correct SOP, then both aspects will have appropriate supply chain management. Therefore, the solution is business process improvisation, so that to increase the trust local brand for honey product, it must be optimized through recording system of customer journey, so that the producer could trace the barrier and enabler factors about perspective of the honey originality

The purpose of the study is to identify the essence of digitalization for business. The theoretical and methodological relevance of the article consists in the fact that the issue of publicity of digitalization processes for small and medium-sized businesses have not until now considered by economists. The lack of development of these issues predetermined the relevance and practical significance of the study. The scenario of digitalization implementation has been considered on the example of Perm, where digitalization is carried out in accordance with the approved “Concept of digital economy development in the Perm Region”. The task of determining the economic effect of business processes digitalization in the city economy was solved. The following methods were used in the study: methods of statistical information processing, the general scientific method of cognition of the problem, the method of system analysis, the theory of digitalization of systems, computational and experimental methods for modeling the digitalization of property, as well as methods based on the theory of functional specialization and the theory of restructuring. It has been concluded that the introduction of digital technologies into public life allows businesses to take part in this and develop themselves.

Digital transformation is the process of consuming digital technologies that drives business improvements and customer experience. Artificial intelligence plays a crucial role in businesses' digital transformation agendas. Technologies and algorithms are an important perspective in the implementation of chatbots. AI chatbots use natural language processing technology and offer solutions for modernizing traditional business processes. The key advantage of the implementation of chatbots in different domains is the impact by improving customers' experience and reducing costs. Chatbots are pieces of software that simulate human conversation through voice commands and/or text chats, intending to offer companies an approach on how to use this software to revolutionize their businesses. The aim of this paper is the analysis of the evaluation criteria; the study of insights into how chatbots can be implemented in the domains of banking, e-commerce, tourism, and call centres; and the discussion of some benefits and challenges of chatbots in driving the digital transformation of businesses.

Обґрунтовано доцільність та актуальність формування нефінансової звітності підприєм-ствами у сучасних реаліях національної економіки. Метою статті було виявлення проблематики впроваджен-ня нефінансових звітів у системі звітності підприємства та формування методичних підходів до змісту його структурних елементів. У процесі відбору пріоритетних напрямків соціальної відповідальності використо-вувалися класичні статистичні методи та метод експертних оцінок з метою ідентифікування напрямків соціальної відповідальності, що мають бути висвітлені у нефінансовій звітності. У процесі дослідження міжнародної практики інформування про соціальну відповідальність підприємств було ідентифіковано основні міжнародні стандарти, що можуть бути використані у процесі формування нефінансових звітів. Виділено основні напрямки висвітлення інформації у контексті кожного окремого стандарту. Виокремлено як такі, що максимально можуть бути застосовані для національних реалій, комплексний звіт (метод Лондонської групи порівняльного аналізу London Benchmarking Group) та стандартизований звіт GRI. Актуалізовано основні про-блеми вітчизняних нефінансових звітів через відсутність єдиної методології та структури на прикладі Звіту про управління. Наведено синонімічний ряд трактування сутності нефінансової звітності. Виокремлено, си-стематизовано та запропоновано структуру основних статей нефінансової звітності за такими напрямками соціальної відповідальності, як: персонал, безпека праці, охорона здоров’я та мотивування та розвитку, фор-мування сприятливого психологічного клімату як всередині колективу, так і за його межами (з контрагента-ми), якість та безпечність продукції перед покупцями та замовниками (у розрізі окремих бізнес-процесів підприємства – постачання, виробництво, збут продукції), екологічна безпека всього процесу виробництва. Доведено, що джерелами інформації мають бути звіти з праці, управлінська звітність, результати відповідних спостережень. Нефінансова звітність підприємства формуватиме позитивний імідж у межах національного ринку та підвищить інвестиційну привабливість за його межами.

The article considers the features of the controlling system at the production&trade enterprise, as well as highlights the additional objects of business process "Sales" management. The classification of the main indicators of management reporting is given. The practice of functioning of production&trade enterprises confirms the feasibility of forming business processes according to the functional approach. Peculiarities of formation of linear and functional business processes at the production&trade enterprise are determined. The controlling system of the enterprise is entrusted, among others, the function of coordinating the co-executors of the business process, which must ensure the achievement and solution of goals and objectives. A set of forms of internal reports on the business process "Sales" is proposed, namely: sales plan for all sales channels, movement of finished products in stock, availability of the balance of finished products, sales in the network of branded stores, actual sales of finished products through all sales channels, gross profit from the sales of finished products, the implementation of the sales plan, the list of settlements with counterparties, the state of receivables. For each form of reporting information request, users, purpose, sources of information for the report are identified. The business process "Sales" requires appropriate accounting and analytical support in order to make management decisions. It is proved that the formation of such accounting providing should be preceded by the procedure of identifying information requests of users. Development of forms of managerial reporting with a certain list of indicators contributes to the most effective decisions.

Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) are struggling to cope with the business uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. This study examines how SMEs in developing economies have used mobile apps to improve their business efficiency during the pandemic. We aim to recognize effective measures and actions taken by SMEs that have turned to mobile-app-based business to improve their sustainability during the crisis. The study bridges a literature gap by extending the Theory of Consumption Values and the Theory of Planned Behavior to SMEs that incorporate mobile-app-based business. Data was collected from 343 SMEs from three Industrial Development Corporations (IDCs) in India. Using the covariance-based structural equation modeling method, we investigated the efficiency of a conceptual model of mobile-app-based business for SMEs. The results revealed that consumer choice behavior, perceived behavior control, subjective behavior control and attitude towards the mobile app all influence SMEs’ decision-making and business strategy. As such, SMEs need a powerful mobile-app-based business network to succeed in the entrepreneurial business process. Using instrumental variable analysis, we discovered that increased mobile app usage significantly improves SMEs’ long-term efficiency. The analysis provides several theoretical and managerial ramifications.

PurposeThis study aims to draw the attention of business process management (BPM) research and practice to the textual data generated in the processes and the potential of meaningful insights extraction. The authors apply standard natural language processing (NLP) approaches to gain valuable knowledge in the form of business process (BP) complexity concept suggested in the study. It is built on the objective, subjective and meta-knowledge extracted from the BP textual data and encompassing semantics, syntax and stylistics. As a result, the authors aim to create awareness about cognitive, attention and reading efforts forming the textual data-based BP complexity. The concept serves as a basis for the development of various decision-support solutions for BP workers.Design/methodology/approachThe starting point is an investigation of the complexity concept in the BPM literature to develop an understanding of the related complexity research and to put the textual data-based BP complexity in its context. Afterward, utilizing the linguistic foundations and the theory of situation awareness (SA), the concept is empirically developed and evaluated in a real-world application case using qualitative interview-based and quantitative data-based methods.FindingsIn the practical, real-world application, the authors confirmed that BP textual data could be used to predict BP complexity from the semantic, syntactic and stylistic viewpoints. The authors were able to prove the value of this knowledge about the BP complexity formed based on the (1) professional contextual experience of the BP worker enriched by the awareness of cognitive efforts required for BP execution (objective knowledge), (2) business emotions enriched by attention efforts (subjective knowledge) and (3) quality of the text, i.e. professionalism, expertise and stress level of the text author, enriched by reading efforts (meta-knowledge). In particular, the BP complexity concept has been applied to an industrial example of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) change management (CHM) Information Technology (IT) ticket processing. The authors used IT ticket texts from two samples of 28,157 and 4,625 tickets as the basis for the analysis. The authors evaluated the concept with the help of manually labeled tickets and a rule-based approach using historical ticket execution data. Having a recommendation character, the results showed to be useful in creating awareness regarding cognitive, attention and reading efforts for ITIL CHM BP workers coordinating the IT ticket processing.Originality/valueWhile aiming to draw attention to those valuable insights inherent in BP textual data, the authors propose an unconventional approach to BP complexity definition through the lens of textual data. Hereby, the authors address the challenges specified by BPM researchers, i.e. focus on semantics in the development of vocabularies and organization- and sector-specific adaptation of standard NLP techniques.

Competition between organizations continues to increase and there is a rapid shift in the delivery of business processes. Service companies strive to improve their business processes by dealing with customers to survive and compete successfully. The literature clearly emphasizes the importance of trust and loyalty for survival in the insurance service sector. This study aims to explore the role of customer knowledge management (CKM) and satisfaction as antecedents of customer trust in the insurance agent sector. The existing causal relationships between CKM, satisfaction, trust, and loyalty were explored. The mediating role of customer trust in the knowledge-loyalty and satisfaction-loyalty relationships is also explored. Data collection was carried out through a survey with a questionnaire. The research instrument uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) which has been used to test the causal relationship and the suitability of the proposed model.

According to the research, Ukrainian e-commerce market is developing rapidly. The article investigates the problem of increasing the efficiency of logistics processes of e-commerce enterprises. For Ukraine, the problem of improving logistics processes is relevant, as the cost of logistics significantly exceeds the corresponding figure in the European Union. The article has practical significance, contains recommendations for reducing the cost of logistics services and proposals for the implementation of state organizational and technological measures. The purpose of the work is a comprehensive study of theoretical and practical aspects of logistics processes in e-commerce, identification of the main functional areas of logistics system of e-commerce enterprises, substantiation of recommendations for improving logistics business processes. In the process of research the economic method was used to study the trends of logistics processes in the e-commerce system, the method of system analysis was used to identify the structural elements of the e-logistics system. The paper considers the main functional areas of e-logistics: supply chain, inventory management and reverse logistics. The main trends in the development of logistics in e-commerce are analyzed. The directions of improvement of activity of logistics companies are defined: improvement of an input resource; improving internal flow; coordinated communication with consumers, ensuring the most accurate compliance of the original flows of goods and services with their requirements. Ways to reduce the cost of logistics services and a set of organizational and technological measures at the state level aimed at mproving the efficiency of electronic logistics are proposed. The article offers implementation of the transition to electronic document management; it will ensure the efficiency of information exchange and will eliminate a significant number of operations for the registration of goods. It is necessary to implement organizational and technological measures at the state level, this applies to the development of regulatory information to track the movement of goods flow, the introduction of a unified system of codification of goods, vehicles and consignees, the creation of a unified system of material flows.

The sustainable development of the region depends on many factors that affect the economic situation, investment attractiveness and prospects for the development of the social sphere. It is impossible to achieve positive changes in this direction without the widespread use of digital infrastructure, which is a powerful driver for the dynamic growth of the economy. Information and communication technologies can significantly speed up business processes involving interdepartmental interaction within the framework of state information systems. The creation of new information services allows the population to solve many problems remotely, without personal contact with the relevant organizations. The year 2020 has shown the need and the possibility of introducing elements of digitalization in various spheres of life in the shortest possible time, which did not seem to be a priority and important before. The effectiveness and quality of such solutions turned out to be so high that it allowed us to solve the tasks with the highest efficiency, in the shortest possible time and with a significant reduction in the use of human resources. The development of digital technologies creates a comfortable environment for large, medium and small businesses, as well as for solving urgent problems of the region’s population.

Business Process Management Suites (BPMSs) have been adopted in organisations to model, improve and automate business processes as they aim to increase the quality, efficiency and agility of their business processes. Yet, many organisations struggle to achieve the benefits they expected from a BPMS. This interpretive case study in a large South African financial services organisation explains factors found to negatively impact successful BPMS adoption. The paper describes how an IT team struggled to increase process agility with a BPMS in a large legacy application landscape. The dominant factors causing the struggle were the difficulty of integrating with other applications and a lack of governance around BPM. Interesting findings on the difficulties in resourcing BPM IT teams are presented. The impact of BPM strategy, culture and governance on BPM methods, resourcing, data and technology is explained. The BPM literature lacks empirical qualitative case studies and theoretical models. This paper aimed to contribute to both needs. The theoretical contribution of this paper is two models. The first inductively derived explanatory contextual model should be useful for practitioners wanting to adopt a BPMS. Using this study’s findings and models from the literature, a second, more generic explanatory model of information system performance is derived for a BPMS.

This paper investigates how knowledge hiding (KH) contributes to individuals, groups, and the business processes of organizations, with regards to improving employee performance, strategic performance, and the organization’s overall knowledge management system (KMS), as well as the consequences and costs of KH in organizations. 117 English language research articles produced between 1988 and 2020 regarding KH are analyzed, and insights provided into science mapping and performance analysis of KH studies, by drawing evidence from publication activities, prominent themes, citation trends, and collaborations amongst contributors. The findings reveal that KH research has mainly focused on KH behavior, knowledge sharing (KS), and the KMS. Firms with KH practices are responsible for challenging employee creativity, motivation, and workplace environment. This study will help business managers and leaders hone cooperative behavior to achieve an innovative environment and desired goals. Knowledge hiding also has positive implications, where leaders may have to hide confidential information from external elements or internal subordinates to protect the enterprise's sovereignty and integrity.

Purpose: The paper deals with the issue of a company's relational capital, especially customer relations. The aim of the paper is an attempt to answer the question concerning the role of developing the right type of relational capital with customers in organisations applying the Business Process Management (BPM) philosophy. Design/Methodology/Approach: The paper characterises business processes and the BPM concept, as well as describes models of process maturity. The section regarding a company's relational capital focuses on different types of relations with stakeholders and also asks about the essence of customer relations in organisations using BPM. The paper includes the results of quantitative research carried out among 600 companies of all sizes operating throughout Poland. The diagnostic survey method, which used the Paper and Pencil Interviewing (PAPI) technique, was chosen as the research method. The respondents were representatives of top management, including business owners. The research was complemented by a case study conducted in one of the organisations operating in the metal industry. It is a company that fully applies the BPM concept. Findings: The results of the quantitative research carried out indicate the existence of a relationship between the type of relations that a company has with its customers and the level of process maturity of the company. The types of customer relations are so important that the attention of companies using the BPM concept is focused on this kind of relationships. The results of the case study strongly confirm that the company analysed sees an important role of its relational capital (especially customer relations) in business process management. Every process implemented in the organisation is undertaken with the final customer in mind as well as his/her satisfaction with the product or service offered. Originality/value: The article discusses an innovative approach to the relational capital of enterprises from the point of view of the process maturity of companies.

Analysis of the use of information and communication technologies in organizations makes it possible to determine the speed and intensity of the digital transformation of the economy. In previous studies, specialists evaluated the dynamics of ICT use in organizations using a small range of indicators in the short term. In this study, the analysis of the dynamics of the use of ICT in organizations was carried out for a wide range of indicators in the long term. Based on this approach, I have identified the patterns of digital transformation and the stage of digital maturity of the economy.Purpose of the study. The purpose of this study is to analyze trends in the digital transformation of the Russian economy. To achieve this goal, I calculated the indicators of the speed and intensity of the level of ICT use in the activities of organizations for certain types of technologies.Materials and methods. I analyzed the dynamics of indicators that characterize: the use of Internet access, business process automation systems, websites and EDI systems, and e-commerce. To analyze the dynamics, I used information from surveys of the Federal State Statistics Service. Indicators are presented in annual frequency for 2005-2019 for the Russian Federation.Results. I found that the peculiarity of the current stage of digital maturity of organizations lies in reaching the limits of the spread of the Internet. For 2010-2019 the average annual growth rate of the share of organizations using the Internet was 1.1%. One of the main directions of digital transformation is the automation of the organization’s business processes. However, the potential for automation has been unevenly realized in a number of areas. The share of organizations using CRM, ERP, SCM - systems increased 2.7 times in 2010-2019, to 20.5%. At the same time, the share of organizations using electronic document management increased by 13% over the same period, to 70% in 2019. At the current stage of digital maturity, organizations are showing a high level of participation in e-commerce. The increase in the share of organizations placing orders for goods and services was 23.7%, and the increase in the share of organizations that make settlements with suppliers of ordered goods and services - up to 93%. Also digital economic activity has expanded, the value of data has increased, and this has been reflected in the use of the Internet for the exchange of electronic products.Conclusion. The results of the analysis can be used in studies on modeling and forecasting trends in digital transformation. The findings of the study on trends in the use of ICT in organizations can be useful for a deeper and more comprehensive study of the nature of the dynamics and patterns of development of digital transformation.

Pondok pesantren merupakan institusi pendidikan nonformal dengan tujuan mengkaji, menafsirkan, menggali, menjiwai, dan mengaplikasikan ajaran islam dengan menegaskan pentingnya etika agama sebagai pedoman perilaku sehari-hari. Sistem Informasi Akademik Santri dibutuhkan untuk memudahkan orang tua santri dan pengurus pondok pesantren karena terdapat permasalahan, Pondok Pesantren masih menggunakan sistem yang konvensional dalam hal informasi akademiknya, dan sulitnya melakukan pembayaran dan pemberian informasi kepada orang tua santri dimasa pandemi seperti ini, sehingga dirancang sistem informasi akademik santri yang dipadukan dengan sistem pembayaran. Dengan adanya Sistem Informasi Akademik Santri ini dapat mengefisienkan pekerjaan, yang dimana sebelum adanya sistem informasi akademik santri ini proses bisnis yang berjalan masih menggunakan cara yang konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan Merancang Sistem Informasi Akademik Santri di Pondok Pesantren. Metodologi yang digunakan yaitu Rational Unified Process, dengan menggunakan empat tahapan yaitu inception, elaboration, construction, dan transition dengan menggunakan pemodelan Unified Modelling Language, serta menggunakan metode pengujian blackbox testing. Produk riset ini yaitu terciptanya Sistem Informasi Akademik Santri Berbasis Web. Adapun kontribusi riset ini yaitu sistem informasi ini dapat membantu masyarakat terkhusus orang tua santri dalam melakukan pencarian informasi akademik santri di pondok pesantren AL Halim Garut, Selain itu Sistem Informasi ini sebagai media pondok pesantren Al Halim Garut ke masyarakat luas, sehinga dihrapkan pondok pesantren Al Halim Garut dapat menjadi bahan percontohan pondok pesantren yang lain.

PurposeThis study aims to review the extant literature in pharmaceutical sector on corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability and organizational performance to explore if a relationship exists among these three elements.Design/methodology/approachA total of 301 research articles were collected from online databases. A new ECG framework representing environment, community and growth was used to classify the collected literature under the three elements: CSR, sustainability and organizational performance.FindingsKey findings under the identified categories are: A) Environment: Strict legislation and green chemistry have revolutionized the pharmaceutical sector by decreasing manufacturing costs, minimizing the environmental footprint and improving compliance with regulations. B) Community: Community goodwill and organization’s image have gained importance under the influence of external and internal stakeholders. C) Growth: A weak relationship exists between CSR and organizational performance but increases engagement in sustainability practices which has led to increased market performance. Effective integration of social and environmental goals with strategic business processes could result in long-term profits.Originality/valueThis study focuses on the extant literature to identify the significance of CSR and sustainability on the organizational performance of the pharmaceutical sector. The propositions developed in this study will help in identifying the interdependency of the aforementioned three elements opening further possibilities of in-depth sector specific studies.

It has become common practice for higher education institutions (HEIs) to replace existing computer systems, called legacy administrative information systems, with new ones to cope with the continuously changing demands in the context of education. At the top of these systems is enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems that integrate HEIs' business processes, functions, and data to improve their overall productivity and effectiveness. However, many studies on ERP adoption have shown that organizations frequently face several barriers, and the failure rate is high. In addition, various research projects have concluded that, quite often, HEIs do not obtain the expected advantages from the adoption of the ERP system. This research aims to explore the factors that affect the behavioral adoption and acceptance of an ERP system in the context of HEIs. Based on works from literature and authors' observations of the PeopleSoft system (ERP system) implementation at Yanbu University College (YUC) in Yanbu City, Saudi Arabia (SA), a conceptual model of users' acceptance of ERP systems has been proposed. The framework is based on the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model and is extended with additional constructs. The present study offers a theoretical contribution by extending the UTAUT model to provide a richer understanding of users' adoption behavior of ERP systems in the HEI context. In addition, according to the authors' knowledge, this is the first paper that to address ERP users' adoption perspective in HEIs in SA.

Purpose This paper aims to propose a framework for information and communication technology (ICT)-based collaborative zakat management to improve zakat management in Indonesia, especially in collection, distribution and empowerment. Design/methodology/approach This paper used a constructive method that used the 3 C (communication, coordination and cooperation) model to develop a framework. This included initial assessment of the current usage of ICT in zakat management and the expectation of collaborative zakat management through in-depth interviews and questionnaires. A focus group discussion was conducted to validate the model. Findings ICT is currently used for the administration of zakat management, providing zakat online services and reporting zakat to the public; ICT is not used for collaboration. The proposed collaboration using the 3 C model consists of communication, coordination and cooperation. The focus group discussion validates the proposed ICT-based collaboration framework as an effective strategy for increasing zakat management. Practical implications The results highlight strengthening institutional capacity and decreasing overlaps in zakat collection, distribution and empowerment. Zakat institutions need to restructure and reconstruct business processes based on ICT collaboration, and government must provide regulations and ICT infrastructure. Social implications The results increase equity and capacity in zakat distribution and empowerment, therefore it can improve poverty alleviation. Originality/value The potential and usage of ICT for collaboration among zakat management organisations have not been thoroughly explored. This paper proposes a conceptual framework for collaboration among zakat institutions using ICT to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of zakat management.

Upgrading the existing energy infrastructure to a smart grid necessarily goes through the provision of integrated technological solutions that ensure the interoperability of business processes and reduce the risk of devaluation of systems already in use. Considering the heterogeneity of the current infrastructures, and in order to keep pace with the dynamics of their operating environment, we should aim to the reduction of their architectural complexity and the addition of new and more efficient technologies and procedures. Furthermore, the integrated management of the overall ecosystem requires a collaborative integration strategy which should ensure the end-to-end interconnection under specific quality standards together with the establishment of strict security policies. In this respect, every design detail can be critical to the success or failure of a costly and ambitious project, such as that of smart energy networks. This work presents and classifies the communication network standards that have been established for smart grids and should be taken into account in the process of planning and implementing new infrastructures.

Software packages that meets the requirements of an organization should be appropriately investigated and evaluated. Picking up a wrong software package may adversely influence the business process and working function of an organization. Inappropriate software selection can turn out to be costly and it is a time-consuming decision-making process. This paper aims to provide a base for selecting the open source software packages based on analytic hierarchy process and technique for order preference similarity to ideal solution methodologies. In addition, the priority weights are generated and optimized by using teaching–learning based optimization approach. A well-organized algorithmic procedure is given in detail and a numerical example is examined to illustrate the validity and practicability of our proposed methodologies.

BPS-Statistics of Aceh Province routinely carries out inflation press releases. The process of preparing the press release requires a lot of time. Besides, the inflation data published in this press release was referred to by various parties such as researchers, agencies, and the mass media. Thus, the quality of the data presented must be maintained. This study is aimed at finding a more effective and efficient press release preparation process while maintaining the quality of the inflation data presented. The method used is the Business Process Improvement (BPI) regarding the 12 streamlining tools until the proposed business process is found. Furthermore, a simulation is carried out between the initial business processes and the proposed business processes that are found. This simulation proves that the proposed business process can significantly reduce press release preparation time by up to 74%. The number of business process activities decreases from 14 activities to 9 activities. On the other hand, choosing one of the streamlining tools, namely automation, is expected to be able to maintain the quality of the inflation data presented. Through this study, researchers also found that the BPI method was proven to be able to recommend a more effective and efficient business process for press release preparation

The article examines business models for mixedmode (combined) passenger transportation and development of combined passenger transportation as a factor in the growth of capacity of the railway passenger transportation market. The crisis in the transport services market, caused by non-economic factors (COVID‑19 pandemic), is characterized by a classic combination of supply shocks and demand shocks for passenger transportation, which increases relevance of the problem of searching ways to rise the volume of passenger traffic, in particular, by rail, demand for services provided to the public using railway assets.The current approach to increasing the demand for railway passenger transportation by developing the railway route network, improving the equipment of railway stations and the quality of service, expanding the range of services offered, promoting everything that encourages the consumption of services by a larger number of customers, will remain important. Nevertheless, this approach should be critically considered and supplemented in the light of new economic trends motivated by digital technology. That is especially important today, when, in conditions of resource constraints, a strategic organisational solution is needed aimed at scaling a business, achieving an optimal «balance» of costs, quality, competencies, flexibility and customer focus.The organisation of combined passenger transportation involves active «horizontal» interaction of various transport organisations, both among themselves and with different cohorts of passengers with their own consumer preferences and income restrictions. Therefore, the transition from linear business processes built «vertically» to horizontal business processes that offer specialised packages of services through a «single window» system according to uniform standards based on digital technologies is relevant.The article proposes models for organising network interaction of participants in the passenger transportation market based on digital technologies to ensure «seamless» mobility of the population with the consolidating role of railway transport. Specific models for organising combined railway transportation should be based on a specific business model, the choice of which is determined by a strategic decision of the company.

Aim. The presented study aims to produce a set of tools for modeling the development of internet companies.Tasks. The authors show the competitive advantages of small and medium enterprises; identify the main features of the modern business environment; determine the structure of modern e-business; identify Internet factors affecting a company that implements Internet technologies in its commercial activities; identify the main factors that make the Internet market attractive for small and medium enterprises and determine their readiness to implement e-business; provide an overview of government support for small and medium enterprises in the context of a pandemic.Methods. This study uses general scientific methods of cognition to analyze the problems of e-business development among small and medium enterprises in Russia.Results. The development of e-business has produced new functions and business processes, adding fundamentally new qualities to the companies’ commercial activities. The ultimate goal of modeling e-business development is to create a set of tools for the formation of an efficient development program for Internet companies that involves building adaptive economic and mathematical models for managing the development of an Internet company as a complex system.Conclusions. The formation and rapid expansion of the national market of computer technologies and software, the growing number of Internet users, and the creation of electronic payment systems in Russia facilitate the introduction and spread of e-commerce among small and medium enterprises. At the same time, doing business online involves solving many problems under conditions of risk, uncertainty, and certain restrictions.

Collaborative manufacturing is increasingly being adopted to respond to increasing market competition by making the best use of advantageous resources. As collaborative manufacturing team members tend to change with the project goals, it is difficult for designers to know accurately each time the quality demand for product CAD model from different model users, which causes model quality defects. Hence, it is necessary to check the CAD model quality timely in collaborative manufacturing. Existing model quality analysis approaches mainly aim at the conventional manufacturing, which has relatively fixed participants. These approaches are difficult to perform different model quality checks according to different model users’ demand in the context of collaborative manufacturing. To solve the problem, a framework of model quality analysis system for collaborative manufacturing is proposed in this paper. By establishing the mechanism of knowledge sharing among team members, this system can cope with different demands of product model quality analysis flexibly. And adopting ontology-based knowledge representation and reasoning, the system can perform automatically model quality check using the shared knowledge. The function, architecture, and business process of the system are presented. To improve knowledge representation and sharing, an information model of model quality inference knowledge is designed. Furthermore, the acquisition and reasoning of model quality knowledge are discussed. Finally, a prototype system is developed and two case studies are presented to demonstrate the feasibility and openness of proposed framework.

Business process specified in Business Process Execution Language (BPEL), which integrates existing services to develop composite service for offering more complicated function, is error-prone. Verification and testing are necessary to ensure the correctness of business processes. SPIN, for which the input language is PROcess MEta-LAnguage (Promela), is one of the most popular tools for detecting software defects and can be used both in verification and testing. In this paper, an automatic approach is proposed to construct the verifiable model for BPEL-based business process with Promela language. Business process is translated to an intermediate two-level representation, in which eXtended Control Flow Graph (XCFG) describes the behavior of BPEL process in the first level and Web Service Description Models (WSDM) depict the interface information of composite service and partner services in the second level. With XCFG of BPEL process, XCFGs for partner services are generated to describe their behavior. Promela model is constructed by defining data types based on WSDM and defining channels, variables and processes based on XCFGs. The constructed Promela model is closed, containing not only the BPEL process but also its execution environment. Case study shows that the proposed approach is effective.

The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) had findings on tax receivables in the last seven years, indicate that the DGT has not managed tax receivables properly. This study aims to analyze problems in the administration of tax receivables at DGT, benchmarking with other countries, and provide suggestions to solve these problems. This study uses a qualitative method with case studies at the DGT and some other tax authorities as multiple units of analysis. Data collection are carried out through interviews and documentation. The results show several problems in the administration of tax receivables at DGT that lead to the system, Taxpayer Account application, regulation, human resource, and exchange of information. Some suggested solutions to solve these problems are integrating existing systems in DGT, developing Taxpayer Accounts, improving the quality of human resources and conducting regular supervision, revised PER-08/PJ./2009 and affirming rules for DGT's recurring business processes, and building a data exchange system between the DGT and the Tax Court as well as the DGT and Directorate General of the Treasury

Y es que las tecnologías de información, sumadas a los dispositivos móviles, se han convertido para muchas empresas en una oportunidad de mejora para sus procesos de negocio ya que ofrecen una ventaja competitiva si es que estas son utilizadas de manera correcta. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is an information system which integrates business functions and processes. ERP systems are widely used in different commercial organizations and industries. For a number of reasons, ERP can be the cause of success in an organization and help improve individual’s performance in an organization by supporting better decision making. It is especially useful in helping an organization improve its productivity, reduce its operational cost and improve quality by efficient use of resources and effective communication. ERP implementation strategy greatly influences an industry‘s business process performance and can help lower organizational resistance to it. It also plays a vital role for business process performance because there is a passionate reaction to ERP that is a characteristic response to change connected with new innovation in an organization. This work is conducted to evaluate the ERP implementation and its influence on enterprise infrastructure, especially how the business performance is improved. The method used in this study is survey based, using interviews from more than 100 experts from different organizations in Karachi, Pakistan. The results show significant role of ERP system in raising business process performance of the organizations. Overall, ERP system impacts heavily an industry in terms of business process performance and also helps improve individual performance, considering how organizational resistance is managed using various strategies and communicating well.

The purpose of the study is to disclosure of the essential incentives for digital transformation of traditional business models in the modern conditions of the world economy development and to form a model of digital transformation of the company's trading activities.Methodology. The scientific work is based on the method of theoretical analysis of research by modern authors regarding the features in the field of digital transformation of business models of companies.Originality / value of the research. Values and prerequisites for digital transformation of business models of trade organizations have been determined. The advantages of this transformation in the system of long-term planning and management of the organization are highlighted.Findings. The basic business model of digital transformation has been identified and refined. The specification of the organization's business model key components in the context of digital transformation of operating activities has been determined.

Business processes decomposition and also smart awareness are the two major emerging trends regarding future business values. Effecting factors on the complexity of decision models in Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystems such as nonlinearity of objective functions, discretization of problem solving space, problem size, and also limited resources resulted many recent precise methods unable to find the optimal answer in a reasonable time. Thus, given the NP-hard (nondeterministic polynomial) of the enterprise service composition (ESC) problem, the key issue would be to find a highly improved (nearly optimal) response among the candidate enterprise services by an admirable manner. In fact, depending on the type of issue, we try to improve competency. Creating an improved model of ESC in IoT context may play an effective role in supporting and preferably meeting the needs of an organization with respect to enterprise business processes. This model in turn would allow tailoring the right selection of enterprise services to meet the needs of end users. To manage the complex needs of end users in an enterprise, enterprise services are combined into different models to satisfy end user’s requirements. Usually an atomic service can not address the entire issue of complex requirements, so atomic services have to be composed by an ESC procedure. The ESC ends up reducing time and increasing user satisfaction in addition to improve a few other Quality of Services (QoS). This comparative survey enables enterprise architecture domains (especially enterprise application architecture) to model improved ESC in IoT context despite existing restrictions to achieve admirable value.

The Indonesia government implements a Quality Assurance System (QAS) of a Higher Education (HE) for realizing the quality education. Muhammadiyah manages several Muhammadiyah/’Aisyiyah College (MAC) with SPM Business Processes Management (BPM) as a form of achieving the quality of a National Higher Education Standards. A Quality Assurance (QA) of the HE is set in a Quality Standards (QS). The number of criteria and relationships with the QA activities become an issue which is appointed in this research. The research is focused on the analysis of the decision-making method Weighted Sum Model (WSM) in the Decision Support System (DSS). The research objective is the use of decision-making methods in the form of DSS using the WSM algorithm and testing the use of these algorithms in the implementation of the QAS in MAC. The WSM algorithm is used and tested on a quality standard database with comparison variables between methods, namely relevance, characteristics, accuracy, precision, reliability, effectiveness, efficiency, strength, and weaknesses.The results and analysis of the research is the use of the WSM algorithm to determine the priorities of the 11 HE Business Processes to inform PTMA Leaders in predicting strategic activities. The analysis process has been carried out and it is found that the WSM algorithm is used in the PTMA SPM with a test assessment score of 94%. The leather processing industry is one of the industries with a high production level to meet market demand. This leather apparel company located in Garut, West Java, produces leather, both from cow, sheep, and goatskin as its raw material and manufactures leather-based apparel as its finished goods. Besides its primary production, this leather tanning company also produces hazardous wastewater that can pollute the environment due to chemical compounds in the leather tanning process. They do not have an integrated information system that supports their business processes, especially in controlling the waste management process. This research will design a waste management module ERP system that supports sustainable supply chain management. The use of ERP that supports integration with another element in the company will make it easier for companies to categorize the waste from the manufacturing process and stored it in the warehouse. Not only that, but this system also helps determine the amount of waste produced and whether the wastewater meets the wastewater quality standards, which are then reported in the document automatically, which will make it easier to analyze results and assist in further decision making.

Currently, technology is a basic requirement if a business wants to develop. Technology is no longer just a substitute for a business. Without technological support, a business will find it difficult to develop and generate profits. Not only in business processes, the promotion or marketing of business also requires technology. In this case, social media is a technology-based sharing platform that can help MSME players market their products. one of them is this service partner, UMKM Bali Daily Trip & Tour, which markets tour tour products. Products marketed are mainly the Nusa Penida Day Tour, which is a day tour in Nusa Penida. The development and improvement of a Bali Daily Trip & Tour UMKM business is very dependent on the use of existing technology, especially promotion using social media. UMKM actors must be able to take advantage of social media as a gathering place for their potential customers. One of the popular social media is Instagram. Instagram is currently an efficient promotional tool to get consumers, especially the youth market, who like holidays with tourist destinations in Bali. This community service aims to provide counseling on the use of social media as a media for promotion of tour packages for MSMEs Bali Daily Trip & Tour in Banjar Puseh, Batubulan Kangin, Gianyar Regency, Bali. Based on the results of the service activities that have been carried out, the participants have been able to understand the Insight feature which functions to determine the effectiveness of posted content and partners have also been able to determine a good posting schedule so that it can streamline the marketing process through social media.

PurposeBusiness process management (BPM) has been discussed in much literature as a crucial approach to achieve firm-enterprise business performance, however in term of digital business transformation to face the current digital enterprise business era, there is still much to be explored. Drawing sociotechnical perspective of ETHICS theory, the study develops and conceptualize information technologies/systems (IT/IS) proactive capability and socialization-codification knowledge process that produce business transformation process in digital-based era.Design/methodology/approachOf the 173 company-enterprise respondents in Indonesia, the authors empirically test and validate the conceptual model using structural equation model tool-SmartPLS and SPSS statistical. The enterprise respondents were manufactures industry, construction services, hardware and software, plantation and agriculture, financial and insurance services, and other retail trade.FindingsThe authors found different findings of mediating effect and direct relationship effect. Socialization knowledge process has directly influence IT/IS proactive capability and enterprise digital business transformation. Codification knowledge process has successfully support IT/IS proactive capability, but unsupported correlation on enterprise digital business transformation. Also, IT/IS proactive capability positively influence enterprise digital business transformation. Enterprise business process suffers when the firm transform their business process into digital-based only using codification knowledge practices because documented knowledge (codification type) is not strong enough to help company in the way of enterprise digital business transformation. Mediating role show IT/IS proactive capability is crucial approach for enterprise business transformation to maximize codification knowledge practices. The findings present one fully supported results of mediation role through IT/IS proactive capability. A stronger support for enterprise IT/IS strategy in company, a high opportunity for codification knowledge practices to improve the digital ways to transform the enterprise business process. In short, the results can guide enterprise managers on how to manage their knowledge resources and maximizing emerging technologies to achieve enterprise digital business transformation.Research limitations/implicationsThe authors acknowledged that future studies would be worthwhile to create, develop and strengthen the model and its related foundation. Future research may try different concept/theory that applicable in enterprise digital business transformation. Also, an opportunity for future study is how enterprise digital business transformation in different context of industries with the current emerging technologies (e.g. IoT, big data, AI).Originality/valueThis study offers a theoretical and conceptual framework to the applicable digital-based within enterprise business transformation context. A knowledge/novel contribution of this study is the integration of a sociotechnical that highly relevant and drives enterprise digital business transformation. This study also is an effort to combine some areas such as business transformation strategy, knowledge-intensive business services, knowledge management and IT/IS.

The article discusses the methodology for assessing the effectiveness of the organizational and economic mechanism for managing integration processes in universities. In modern conditions of the development of higher education, more and more attention of world science is riveted to the processes of integration in this area. The seprocesses have so strongly influenced the field of higher education that terms such as “integration”, “internationalization”, “globalization” are becoming more synonyms than concepts that differentiate essentially different processes observed in the field of higher education. In the context of globalization and internationalization of higher education, the process of implementation, measures and methods of introducing transformations that contribute to the high-quality and effective development of the university's activities not only in the field of education, but also in science are becoming significant. In this regard, it is the mechanism for the implementation of integration processes, or more precisely, the organizational and economic mechanism of management, which contributes to increasing the efficiency of higher education, the quality of education, which becomes the object of close and thorough research. The development of integration processes creates a competitive environment for universities, which allows us to consider the organizational and economic mechanism of management at a university as a business process, however, taking into account the relevant specific features that are characteristic only of a university as an educational organization.

The research used in assessing the performance of internal business processes in this study uses strategic management theory and operations management through the Resource-Based View approach, Market-Based View aspects and Organization Culture. The Banking Industry has to think about the business processes and workflows to empower employees and what they need to do to stay competitive in the face of rapidly changing competition. The method used in this research is a Literature Review with a descriptive approach that will produce a conceptual model. The resulting conceptual model development was adopted from DeLone and McLean's Model about the success of the Information System which was combined with the input variables studied to produce an implementation model for the integration of business functions to improve the performance of internal business processes.
