Cotes worked with Richard Bentley and Newton where he became an editor and an author of the preface for the second edition of Newton's "Principia." The journal will continue the tradition of excellent expository articles despite succession of Susan Friedlander as chief editor. Bulletin intends to add contextual information for the very broad audience. The journal plans to introduce a new section of the Bulletin entitled "Mathematical Perspectives," which will contain different strands of mathematics.
