Studies the formation of malondialdehyde in the course of dissolution of some irradiated crystalline carbohydrates. Maximum radiation-chemical yields of malondialdehyde at different pH values of the solvent exhibited by the different carbohydrates; Distinctive feature of the pH dependence of the G value of malondialdehyde for xylose.
