There have been remarkable changes in our lives and the way we perceive the world with advances in computing technology. Healthcare sector is evolving with the intervention of the latest computer-driven technology and has made a remarkable change in the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases. Due to many governing factors including air pollution, there is a rapid rise in chest-related diseases and the number of such patients is rising at an alarming rate. In this research work, we have employed machine learning approach for the detecting various chest-related problems using convolutional neural networks (CNN) on an open dataset of chest X-rays. The method has an edge over the traditional approaches for image segmentation including thresholding, k -means clustering, and edge detection. The CNN cannot scan and process the whole image at an instant; it needs to recursively scan small pixel spots until it has scanned the whole image. Spatial transformation layers and VGG19 have been used for the purpose of feature extraction, and ReLU activation function has been employed due to its inherent low complexity and high computation efficiency; finally, stochastic gradient descent has been used as an optimizer. The main advantage of the current method is that it retains the essential features of the image for prediction along with incorporating a considerable dimensional reduction. The model delivered substantial improvement over existing research in terms of precision, f -score, and accuracy of prediction. Pomology, also known as fruticulture, is a significant contributor to the economies of many nations worldwide. While vertical farming methods are not well-suited for fruit cultivation, substrate-based cultivation is commonly practiced. Vertical farming methods use no soil for cultivation of the plants, and the cultivation is done in vertically stacked layers. Therefore, smaller herbs are best suited for such cultivation, whereas, the majority of the fruit trees are big and woody. Therefore, vertical farming methods are not well suited for fruit trees. However, to maximize fruit production, smarter substrate cultivation methods are needed. Utilizing remote sensing techniques, such as Internet of Things (IoT) devices, agriculture sensors, and cloud computing, allows for precision agriculture and smart farming in autonomous systems. Nevertheless, a lack of understanding of fruit nutrient requirements, growing conditions, and soil health conditions can result in reduced fruit production. To address these challenges, this paper proposes an intelligent model based on machine learning that recommends the best fruit to grow based on prevailing soil and climatic conditions. The system is trained on a dataset that includes details on eleven different fruits, such as Nitrogen (N), Phosphorous (P), Potassium (K), temperature, humidity, pH, and rainfall. The model takes into account the soil type and nutrient contents to recommend the most suitable fruit to grow in the prevailing climate. To enhance the model's efficiency, two novel techniques, Gradient-based Side Sampling (GOSS) and Exclusive Feature Bundling (EFB), have been incorporated. The results show that the proposed system has achieved 99% accuracy in recommending the right fruit based on the given environmental conditions. As a result, this system has the potential to significantly improve the profitability of the pomology industry and boost national economies.Article Highlights: This article aims at the creation of an efficient recommendation model for fruit cultivation in soil medium by analyzing the soil nutrient contents and the existing climatic conditions. The most suitable fruit plant corresponding to the existing conditions and soil type is recommended for an enhanced yield of the plant. Three climatic parameters, i.e., temperature, humidity, and rainfall; along with four soil-based parameters, i.e., pH, N content, P content, and K content are considered as the required growing condition for eleven varieties of fruits. To ensure enhanced accuracy, a hundred entries for each fruit type is entered in the dataset. The created dataset is then divided in the proportion of 7:3 as training data: testing data and Light Gradient Boosting Machine (Light GBM) model is applied to the created dataset. Industry 5.0 benefits from advancements being made in the field of machine learning and the Internet of Things. Different sensors have been installed in a variety of IoT devices present in different industries such as transportation, healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture, etc. The sensors present in these devices should automatically predict errors due to the extensive use of sensors in urban living. To ensure the integrity, precision, security, dependability and fidelity of sensor nodes, it is, therefore, necessary to foresee faults before they occur. Additionally, as more data is being collected by these devices every day, cloud computing becomes more necessary for sustainable urban living. The proposed model emphasizes solution recommendations for faults that occurred in real-life smart devices to mitigate faults at an early stage, which is a key requirement in today's smart offices. The proposed model monitors the real-time health of IoT devices through an ML algorithm to make devices more efficient and increase the quality of life. Through the use of K-Nearest Neighbor, Decision Tree, Gaussian Naive Bayes and Random Forest approach, the proposed fault prediction recommender model has been evaluated and Random Forest shows the highest accuracy compared to other classifiers. Several performance indicators such as recall, accuracy, F1 score and precision were utilized to examine the performance of the model. The results have demonstrated the effectiveness of ML techniques applied to sensors in predicting faults in smart offices with Random Forest being observed as the best technique with a maximum accuracy of 94.27%. The amount of data captured is expanding day by day which leads to the need for a monitoring system that helps in decision making. Current technologies such as cloud, machine learning (ML) and Internet of Things (IoT) provide a better solution for monitoring automation systems efficiently. In this paper, a prediction model that monitors real-time data of sensor nodes in a clinical environment using a machine learning algorithm is proposed. An IoT-based smart hospital environment has been developed that controls and monitors appliances over the Internet using different sensors such as current sensors, a temperature and humidity sensor, air quality sensor, ultrasonic sensor and flame sensor. The IoT-generated sensor data have three important characteristics, namely, real-time, structured and enormous amount. The main purpose of this research is to predict early faults in an IoT environment in order to ensure the integrity, accuracy, reliability and fidelity of IoT-enabled devices. The proposed fault prediction model was evaluated via decision tree, K-nearest neighbor, Gaussian naive Bayes and random forest techniques, but random forest showed the best accuracy over others on the provided dataset. The results proved that the ML techniques applied over IoT-based sensors are well efficient to monitor this hospital automation process, and random forest was considered the best with the highest accuracy of 94.25%. The proposed model could be helpful for the user to make a decision regarding the recommended solution and control unanticipated losses generated due to faults during the automation process. The challenges involved in the traditional cloud computing paradigms have prompted the development of architectures for the next generation cloud computing. The new cloud computing architectures can generate and handle huge amount of data, which was not possible to handle with the help of traditional architectures. Deep learning algorithms have the ability to process this huge amount of data and, thus, can now solve the problem of the next generation computing algorithms. Therefore, these days, deep learning has become the state-of-the-art approach for solving various tasks and most importantly in the field of recognition. In this work, recognition of city names is proposed. Recognition of handwritten city names is one of the potential research application areas in the field of postal automation For recognition using a segmentation-free approach (Holistic approach). This proposed work demystifies the role of convolutional neural network (CNN), which is one of the methods of deep learning technique. Proposed CNN model is trained, validated, and analyzed using Adam and stochastic gradient descent (SGD) optimizer with a batch size of 2, 4, and 8 and learning rate (LR) of 0.001, 0.01, and 0.1. The model is trained and validated on 10 different classes of the handwritten city names written in Gurmukhi script, where each class has 400 samples. Our analysis shows that the CNN model, using an Adam optimizer, batch size of 4, and a LR of 0.001, has achieved the best average validation accuracy of 99.13. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
