Eu(3+) (or Tb(3+)) of 3,5-dinitrobenzoic acid and 1,10-phenanthroline ternary rare earth complexes were synthesized and characterized by thermal analysis, infrared spectroscopy, elemental analysis and fluorescence spectroscopy. In this study an organic-inorganic combined device indium tin oxide/poly(N-vinylcar-bazole):RE(3,5-DNBA)(3)Phen:TiO(2)/Al was fabricated. The nano-TiO(2) has been used in the luminescence layer to change the electroluminescence property of RE(3,5-DNBA)(3) Phen (RE=Eu(3+)or Tb(3+)).

The binary complex of Tb(III) with N-phenylanthranilic acid (N-HPA) was synthesized, and the ternary complexes were synthesized by introducing 1,10-phenanthroline (Phen), 2,2'-dipyridyl (Bipy), trioctylphosphine oxide (TPPO) as the second ligand, respectively. These complexes were characterized by infrared spectra, UV spectra and fluorescence spectra. The effect and mechanism of different second ligands on the fluorescent intensity of the terbium N-phenylanthranilic acid complexes was discussed. It showed that all the complexes exhibited ligand-sensitized green emission. The luminescence intensity increased in the sequence of Tb(N-PA)(3)Phen

Abstract: Four ternary complexes of Tb(III) were synthesized by introducing the first ligand (L1) (N-phenylanthranilic acid (N-HPA), α-furoic acid (FURA)) and the second ligand (L2) (1,10-phenanthroline (Phen), 2,2′-dipyridyl (Bipy)), respectively. These complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectra, XRD, UV spectra and fluorescence spectra. The effect of L1 and L2 on the fluorescence properties of terbium complexes was discussed. It showed that all the complexes exhibited ligand-sensitized green emission. Abstract: Some kinds of rare earth complexes were synthesized using the ligands of thenoyltrifluoroacetone (HTTA), 2, 2/-dipyridyl(Dipy) and different metal ions (Eu3+ and Gd3+). Their contents, structures and optoelectronic property were monitored by elemental analysis, DTA-TGA, IR and fluorescence spectroscopy. This result showed luminescence of Eu3+ complex was enhanced after doped with Gd3+ , the thermal stability of rare earth complexes was also reported. In addition, the organic–inorganic combined device ITO/PVK: Gd1− x Eu x (TTA)3Dipy: TiO2/Al was fabricated, the nano-TiO2 has been used in the luminescence layer to change the electroluminescence property of Gd1− x Eu x (TTA)3Dipy. We have monitored the spectra of Gd1− x Eu x (TTA)3Dipy with different ratios for spin-cast film r min−1. Abstract: Tb0.25Eu0.75(TTA)2(N-HPA)Phen of Eu3+ with thenoyltrifluoroacetone (HTTA), N-phenylanthranilic acid (N-HPA) and 1,10-phenanthroline (Phen) doped with Tb3+ has been synthesized. Photophysical properties of the complex were studied in detail with IR, DTA–TG, XRD, ultraviolet absorption spectra and fluorescent spectra. The luminescence of Eu3+ complex was enhanced by doping with Tb3+. It is proved by the TG curve that the complex is stable, and we have monitored the spectra of Tb0.25Eu0.75(TTA)2(N-HPA)Phen with different ratios for spin-cast film rpm. Abstract: A series of HTTA (thenoyltrifluoroacetone) and TPPO (trioctylphosphine oxide) complexes with different molar ratios of Eu3+ to Y3+ has been synthesized. Characterization with XRD, IR, UV, elemental analysis and fluorescence spectroscopy has also been carried out. These results showed luminescence of Eu3+ complex was enhanced after doped with Y3+. The organic–inorganic thin film of complexes Y1−x Eu x (TTA)3(TPPO)2 in nano-TiO2 was fabricated, and the nano-TiO2 has been used in the luminescence layer to change the luminescence property of complexes Y1−x Eu x (TTA)3(TPPO)2.
