MSr 4 (BO 3 ) 3 :Sm 3+ (M = Li, Na) materials were synthesized a solution combustion synthesis method followed by heating of the precursor combustion ash at 800 and 750 °C, respectively. The synthesized phosphors were characterized by using the powder XRD. The excitation and emission spectra of these materials were measured at room temperature with a spectrofluorometer. The photoluminescence properties of MSr 4 (BO 3 ) 3 :Sm 3+ (M = Li, Na) materials with different mol ratios of Sm 3+ were analyzed in detail. Both LiSr 4 (BO 3 ) 3 :Sm 3+ and NaSr 4 (BO 3 ) 3 :Sm 3+ phosphors emit a strong in orange–red region. It was observed that the optimum concentration of Sm 3+ in LiSr 4 (BO 3 ) 3 and NaSr 4 (BO 3 ) 3 are 0.04 and 0.03 mol, respectively. Pure, Pb 2+ and Bi 3+ doped Li 4 SrCa(SiO 4 ) 2 materials were prepared by using a conventional solid state reaction. The phase of Li 4 SrCa(SiO 4 ) 2 was determined using the powder XRD. The photoluminescent properties of Pb 2+ and Bi 3+ doped Li 4 SrCa(SiO 4 ) 2 materials were investigated using a spectrofluorometer at room temperature. The emission bands of Li 4 SrCa(SiO 4 ) 2 : Pb 2+ and Li 4 SrCa(SiO 4 ) 2 : Bi 3+ were observed at 290 and 380 nm, respectively. Li 4 SrCa(SiO 4 ) 2 with different Pb 2+ and Bi 3+ doping concentrations were analyzed at room temperature. The Stokes shifts of Li 4 SrCa(SiO 4 ) 2 : Pb 2+ and Li 4 SrCa(SiO 4 ) 2 : Bi 3+ were calculated to be 5678 and 5942 cm −1 , respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: Li6CaB3O8.5: M3+ (M3+: Dy and Sm) phosphors were synthesized by a solution combustion synthesis. The synthesized materials were characterized by using the powder XRD. The emission and excitation spectra of these materials were measured at room temperature with a spectrofluorometer. Both Li6CaB3O8.5: Dy3+ and Li6CaB3O8.5: Sm3+ phosphors emit red, yellow and green light. Consequently, these materials are promising phosphors for white LEDs. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Abstract: Pure Li6CaB3O8.5 and Li6Ca1−x Pb x B3O8.5 (0.005≤x≤0.04) materials were prepared by a solution combustion synthesis method. The phase of synthesized materials was determined using the powder XRD and FTIR. The synthesized materials were investigated using spectrofluorometer at room temperature. The emission and excitation bands of the synthesized phosphors were observed at 307 and 268nm, respectively. The dependence of the emission intensity on the Pb2+ concentration for the Li6Ca1−x Pb x B3O8.5 (0.005≤x≤0.04) was studied and observed that the optimum concentration of Pb2+ in phosphor is 0.01mol. Abstract: Pure and Pb2+ doped LiSr4(BO3)3 materials were prepared by a solution combustion synthesis method. The phase analysis of all synthesized materials were determined using the powder XRD. The synthesized materials were investigated using spectrofluorometer at room temperature. The excitation and emission bands of LiSr4(BO3)3: Pb2+ were observed at 284 and 328nm, respectively. The dependence of the emission intensity on the Pb2+ concentration for the LiSr4(BO3)3 were studied in detail. It was observed that the concentration quenching of Pb2+ in LiSr4(BO3)3 is 0.005mol.
