Bargaining with suppliers is a key Purchasing and Supply Management (PSM) activity but there is considerable ambiguity over what bargaining entails and the concept currently lacks a systematic treatment, despite its significant interest to PSM professionals. The literature shows that bargaining can be seen as an adversarial approach to negotiation (in contrast to more integrative/collaborative ones) and also the back-and-forth discussion over price and other variables between buying and supplying organisations to reach an agreement. In addition, many will move between fundamentally distributive and integrative approaches as the discussions play out. A systematic literature review of the Scopus, ProQuest, ScienceDirect, JSTOR and Web of Science databases was undertaken to address this gap, identifying 427 relevant journal papers that were systematically analysed. First, descriptive techniques identified the trajectory of published papers, methods, theories and their industrial context. Second, content analysis identified the key constructs and associated operational measures/variables of bargaining. Third, the constructs have then been ordered temporally and by areas of location (organisational/departmental and individual levels) to generate a model and inform a series of practice-based recommendations at different stages of the bargaining process. The findings will allow future researchers to use the constructs either directly in developing focused hypotheses to test relationships or as a basis for refinement and extension in cumulative theory building and testing. In addition, a series of focused research gaps have been identified, such as addressing the current contradictory findings of the effect of purchasing volume or organisational size on bargaining power. With the rise of research on the integration of emergence theory and complex systems, value emergence has become a new model of value creation in green innovation ecosystems. Exploring the research status of green innovation ecosystems from the perspective of value emergence has become a research hotspot in the field of management science. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to use bibliometric methods, explore the current research status of green innovation ecosystems from the perspective of value emergence, and, more importantly, provide a future direction for the integration of emergence theory into complex systems. In this paper, a search was conducted in the Web of Science and CNKI databases, with a time limit from 2009 to May 2023, and through further screening, 159 articles were collected, and CiteSpace software (CiteSpace.6.3.R1) was used for visualizing and exploring bibliometric networks. This study innovatively introduce the value emergence perspective in the context of green innovation ecosystems. The basic interaction, dynamic promotion, and feedback loop of value emergence are taken as the research framework, and the generation mechanism and dynamic evolution of the green innovation ecosystem are analyzed. Finally, three prospects for future research are presented: How do green innovation entities generate basic resources? How do digital transformation and dynamic capabilities promote emerging value? How do internal models and external identifiers promote feedback loops? This paper is highly important for promoting theoretical exploration in the field of green innovation research. This paper presents a bibliometric analysis of research on asset pricing and identifies and highlights the most significant authors, keywords, articles, and journals based on a systematic literature review and Bibliometric analysis of 915 documents published over 33 years (1989-2022), obtained from the web of science database, to discover the noticeable landscape and research horizons in the field of asset pricing theory. This descriptive study demonstrates an upward trend in "asset pricing' papers in business and finance journals. According to the report, the United States is the leading contributor to the "asset pricing" study, followed by the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Canada, and France. The authors, papers, and citation-based analyses show that Acharya vv; Albuquerque R, Aih, and Acciaio B are the most effective and influential asset pricing researchers, followed by Affleck Graves J and Akdeniz L. In terms of restrictions, our research is limited to the Web of Science database. Investigations from other databases could be used in future studies. We've also limited Bibliometric analysis to a few dimensions. Future research would look at networking from a different perspective. In our analysis, we limited ourselves to simply looking at scientific articles. Despite these flaws, we feel the study has research and management implications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Conventional agricultural techniques cannot fulfill the requirements of a sustainable food value chain. Agroecology can be a great alternative practice for transforming the current agricultural systems. This approach combines ecology and agriculture, considering different stakeholders' opinions. An assessment of the current literature about "agroecology practices" using the Web of Science database was made, and 1235 results were collected and unified into a bibtex file using R studio. The final results were extracted through the bibliometix library. The acquired results show that annual scientific production on the aforementioned term was limited between the 1990s and 2010s and has recently increased due to increased interest in the topic. Additionally, the terms "agriculture", "management biodiversity", and "conservation" are frequently correlated with agroecology, covering all three dimensions of sustainability. Agroecology as a trending topic has great potential to serve North African countries, increasing food security levels while assuring sustainability standards. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

LITERATURE reviews ,KETOGENIC diet ,REDUCING diets ,SCIENCE databases ,WEB databases - Abstract
Several meta-analyses have found a positive association between a popular type of "fad diet", ketogenic diets, and their effect on anthropometric and blood parameters. However, the non-specific inclusion criteria for meta-analyses may lead to incorrect conclusions. The aim of this literature review is to highlight the main confounders and methodological pitfalls of meta-analyses on ketogenic diets by inspecting the presence of key inclusion criteria. The PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science databases and the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews were searched for meta-analyses. Most meta-analyses did not define the essential parameters of a ketogenic diet (i.e., calories, macronutrient ratio, types of fatty acids, ketone bodies, etc.) as inclusion criteria. Of the 28 included meta-analyses, few addressed collecting real, re-measured nutritional data from the ketogenic diet and control groups in parallel with the pre-designed nutritional data. Most meta-analyses reported positive results in favor of ketogenic diets, which can result in erroneous conclusions considering the numerous methodological pitfalls and confounders. Well-designed clinical trials with comparable results and their meta-analyses are needed. Until then, medical professionals should not recommend ketogenic diets as a form of weight loss when other well-known dietary options have been shown to be healthy and effective. Sustainability Assessment systems are developed and conducted for underpinning decision-making and relevant policies of environment, economic and social context. The term sustainability assessment was initially acknowledged in the early 2000s and still is gaining importance in the field of construction. There are many life cycle sustainability assessment systems available worldwide, but there are very tickle of studies summarizing life cycle sustainability assessment systems peculiarly in residential buildings. In the light current scenario, a systematic literature review was carried out considering sustainability assessment for residential buildings throughout building life cycle stages. The purpose of the study focuses on the extraction of relative literature using PRISMA methodology for identification of articles and performed bibliometric analysis 2000–2020 using the VOSviewer tool, this tool helps to analyze the extracted data from the database in a graphical visual form. Few research studies recognize the actual parameters to assess the sustainability, and ability of a building using a life cycle assessment system in residential buildings especially. This study identifies articles from Scopus and the web of science database and extracted the annual publication on the topic, the contribution of authors, citation count of articles, the contribution of various countries, persistent journals, and keywords. This study would help researchers and policy-makers working on the development of sustainability assessment decision-making frameworks for residential buildings across the world with a clear perspective of real work being done in this area and required research gaps and future work recommendations. Initially developed to approach art and cultural services as consumption acts, the experiential paradigm has been deeply developed in business-oriented fields, especially through the concept of customer value. But paradoxically, this application has been less systematic in the arts. This paper presents a review of how experiential value has been studied in the context of arts and culture. It first depicts, with quotations from the last 40 years, a challenge for researching customer experiences, as it is critical for marketing research and management but difficult to apprehend conceptually and empirically. Second, a literature review is made in two stages: quantitative with a bibliometric study on the Web of Science database and qualitative with a diachronic analysis of existing empirical studies of the main conceptual frameworks of customer experience. Finally, several considerations are presented as conclusions, and new research avenues are signaled to continue the inquiry on the experiential value of arts. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The world of work is one of the most striking exponents of the challenges faced by transgender (or trans) people, configuring one of the main spheres of exclusion and interdictions in the experiences of this group. Based on this understanding, the present study aims to review national scientific productions on the work of transgender people, specifically those published in article format. Through searching in the main national databases of scientific publications, 38 articles were selected on this topic. These articles were characterized using an analytical protocol. Their findings were categorized into four axes that led to discussions and reflections on Brazilian production about the work of trans people. The results and analyses allowed us to identify contributions, trends, and gaps in dealing with the topic, which reinforces the need for new research in this area, especially considering the potential of the work to contribute to the social inclusion of the trans population. Research background: Job crafting based on individual initiative represents a new form of work design, supporting stability in increasing work performance. In many cases, this method proves to be an effective way of increasing employees' work engagement, mainly because of the mediated autonomy in their work performance and the greater meaningfulness that results from it. The basis of job crafting is employee support, which initiates working behavior focused on proactivity in creating and adapting work to the subjective requirements of the employee's individuality. The available literature highlights various approaches that mediate individual topics, with which companies try to stimulate employee behavior, the expected result of which is job crafting, which leads to an increase in work performance. Purpose of the article: The goal of the study is to identify current research directions in the field of job crafting, specifically in relation to increasing work performance. Methods: The Web of Science database was used to identify the main directions of research in the relevant literature. Research was directed at peer-reviewed articles published in journals indexed in SSCI as Q1 and Q2. The resulting number of articles was identified based on the PRISMA selection method. Findings & value added: By analyzing the literary sources, we have identified 4 important research topics that the authors of the scientific articles addressed. The most widespread topic was work engagement and its influence on job crafting. In the second topic, the authors addressed the issue of how job crafting supports the meaningfulness of work. The third research topic that the authors addressed was job crafting as a factor of employee autonomy. The fourth theme identified was the influence of leadership and management support on jobcrafting behavior. The paper offers the reader a systematic and clear list of available quality resources that can help them in their personal research related to job crafting and work performance. In addition, the results of our research may be useful for companies trying to improve the work performance of their employees. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: The article aims to provide an updated and comprehensive overview of academic research in the field of collaborative governance and digital transformation, with an emphasis on the emerging topic of collaborative digital transformation. Digital transformation is a recurrent theme in today's society, fuelled by events such as the Covid-19 pandemic, global climate challenges, and other crises reshaping the world. As societies increasingly rely on digital platforms and online communication, the prime urge and necessity of the human race - i.e., to communicate and collaborate in tackling these challenges - puts collaborative governance in digital transformation high on the agenda of governments, the private sector, and citizens. Design/Methodology/Approach: To address this topic, we performed a bibliometric analysis using various analytical and visualisation tools to evaluate and visualise existing scientific bibliographic materials. The analysis covers 286 articles published in the Scopus and Web of Science databases over the past two decades in the area of collaborative governance and digital transformation, employing established and innovative bibliometric approaches. Graphical analyses are used to illustrate coauthorship, keywords co-occurrence, research topics evolution, and the network of influential researchers within collaborative governance and digital transformation. Findings: The results show that the relationship between collaborative governance and digital transformation is still limited and needs further study, considering that these two concepts have been emerging trends in public administration over the past two decades. In addition, the findings reveal a significant growth in research of these topics over time, although not specifically focused on collaborative digital transformation. Practical Implications: The article provides a summary of key aspects of collaborative governance and digital transformation research and helps lay the foundations for shaping the future of this evolving field of public administration. Thus, it helps researchers understand the development of collaborative digital transformation research over the past two decades, as collaborative digital transformation is a relatively new field of research characterised by rapid growth and evolution. Originality/Value: The research contributes to the understanding of collaborative digital transformation as a distinct research area within the broader concepts of digital transformation and collaborative governance, which is still seeking its own identity in academic literature, and offers a definition of collaborative digital transformation (CDT). The concept of mental health literacy (MHL) refers to knowledge and beliefs about mental disorders. Improving MHL can have a significant impact on individuals and society at large. The aim of the study was to review the scientific production related to MHL, analyze its characteristics, and identify the strengths and weaknesses of the proposed interventions. A systematic review of the literature was carried out by searches in the databases Web of Science (WOS) and Scopus. One hundred and six articles have been selected and analyzed. The results are organized into 4 categories: Conceptualization of MHL and how to materialize it, educational programs, MHL assessment instruments, and studies on MHL levels. The concept of MHL is disseminated around the world despite the lack of conceptual consensus. It is materialized mainly through educational interventions with diverse methodologies. Although there are limitations in measuring MHL, in general, the levels are low in different population groups and on specific mental health problems. In short, specific actions that require further development of applicable programs for the information and prevention of mental health problems were found as a priority. The spread of the term MHL is necessary for the prevention and information of mental health problems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Paper aims: This paper proposes a roadmap framework based on a literature review to choose the most proper indicators and targets for a given logistics process derived from the organization's strategic goals. Originality: One of the many benefits from the introduction of technologies and the digitization of logistics processes is the acquisition of a great amount of data, which is a valuable asset for an efficient management. In order to transform this data into useful information, most companies rely on performance indicators. In this sense, this paper proposes a roadmap framework based on previous works to guide managers on how to choose a set of indicators that are linked to the company's targets. To the best of our knowledge, no previous research has proposed a framework dealing with target definitions based on historical data and previous standards or benchmarking, as well as the logistics indicators choice based on the representation theory. Research method: In order to elaborate the framework, a two-step structured literature review was carried out, combined with a case application. The literature review included steps based on the works of Govindan & Bouzon (2018) and Moher et al. (2009). The Scopus and the Web of Science databases were selected to gather material to base this study. The framework was applied in a Brazilian construction enterprise, located in Joinville city, Southern Brazil. Main findings: The framework application showed that the methodology can facilitate the selection of indicators linked with the company's strategic goals. Additionally, the indicators legitimation process with managers, a step from the framework, showed that managers' knowledge about the company's processes is essential for a successful logistics performance system implementation. However, the managers can be resistant to changes for new indicators, and this situation should be avoided during the legitimation process. Future studies may expand the methodology application to other areas than logistics, and future applications of the framework in a Logistics 4.0 environment should provide more insights for the model. Implications for theory and practice: From a theoretical perspective, a complete table of logistics performance indicators is provided, as well as the framework for indicators and target definition. From a practical panorama, the framework application shows that practitioners can use this study as a guide to develop more effective logistics performance measurement systems. Moreover, concluding remarks on the relationship between digital transformation and performance measurement systems are provided. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The study examines the concepts of performance, performance measurement and evaluation, which are important phenomenon for every business. First, a literature review is conducted using the Web of Science database. Then, the concepts of performance, performance measurement and evaluation are examined theoretically; and performance evaluation approaches are discussed. As a result of the literature review, 360-degree performance evaluation system, which is one of the modern methods that has not found many places in the business administration literature, is examined in detail, and a general framework is tried to be formed on the subject. Consequently, it is determined that 360-degree performance evaluation system cannot provide a single handed and direct solution to performance problems. However, when the system is carefully prepared and applied correctly, it moves away from the tendency of firms to see the individual as a mechanical production material, which is caused by classical performance evaluation methods, and leads them to the tendency to see them as "human". Among territorial birds, the number of conspecific neighbours sets the social context of communication. There have been many investigations of vocal behaviour and its important role in territory defense and mate attraction in birds; however, the effect of the density of conspecific neighbours on avian communication has received little attention. In this study, we reviewed the literature on the influence of local density on vocal communication in birds, exploring how the number of conspecific neighbours influences avian vocal behaviour, by conducting a literature review following the guidelines of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) in two databases: Web of Science and Scopus. We also included additional articles from a more flexible search in Google Scholar. We found 19 studies of birds that included data on vocal behaviour in relation to the number of conspecific neighbours. The majority of these studies (14 of 19) showed that local density influences avian vocal behaviour. Overall, these studies revealed an effect of local density of conspecifics on song rate (expressed as song rate, syllable rate, solo song rate, or singing rate). Other vocal behaviours that were shown to vary with local density included song-type switching, song duration, peak frequency, and song variation. Most studies focused on temperate-zone species where males are the predominant singers. Our results reveal a bias towards the study of male songs in the context of local density, with very few studies on female song; this corresponds with a historical geographical focus on temperate birds. We present experimental design suggestions for future investigations, including predictions for males and females of tropical and temperate species. Finally, we argue that more research on this topic is needed, and that investigations of vocal communication will benefit from further study of the influence of density on avian vocal behaviour. Endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDC) are compounds that alter functions of the endocrine system due to their ability to mimic or antagonize endogenous hormones, or that alter their synthesis and metabolism, causing adverse health effects. Human biomonitoring (HBM) is a reliable method to assess human exposure to chemicals through measurement in human body fluids and tissues. It identifies new sources of exposure and determines their distribution, thereby enabling detection of the most exposed populations. Blood and urine are commonly used for HBM of EDC, but their interest is limited for compounds presenting short half-lives. Hair appears as an interesting alternative insofar as it provides a large exposure window. For the present study, we evaluated the relevance of hair in determining EDC exposure. With this in mind, we undertook a literature review focusing on the bioanalytical aspects and performances of methods developed to determine EDC in hair. The literature review was performed through methodical bibliographical research. Relevant articles were identified using two scientific databases: PubMed and Web of Science, with search equations built from a combination of keywords, MeSH terms and Boolean operators. The search strategy identified 2949 articles. After duplicates were removed, and following title, abstract, and full-text screenings, only 31 were included for qualitative synthesis. Hair collection was mainly performed in the back of the head and preparation involved two processes: cutting into small pieces or grounding to powder. The off-line LC-MS/MS method remains the main technique used to assess EDC through hair. Differences regarding the validation of analytical methods and interpretation of HBM results were highlighted, suggesting a need for international harmonisation to obtain reliable and comparable results. External contamination of hair was identified as a main limitation in the interpretation of results, highlighting the need to better understand EDC transfers through hair and to develop relevant hair decontamination processes. [Display omitted] • Review of analytical methods for the assessment of EDCs through hair. • Work especially focused on extraction processes and analytical performance. • Discussion about the relevance of hair matrix as a biomarker of exposure to EDCs. LITERATURE reviews ,TEXT mining ,SCIENCE databases ,SMART cities ,MACHINE learning - Abstract
Literature reviews are essential for any scientific work, both as part of a dissertation or as a stand-alone work. Scientists benefit from the fact that more and more literature is available in electronic form, and finding and accessing relevant literature has become more accessible through scientific databases. However, a traditional literature review method is characterized by a highly manual process, while technologies and methods in big data, machine learning, and text mining have advanced. Especially in areas where research streams are rapidly evolving, and topics are becoming more comprehensive, complex, and heterogeneous, it is challenging to provide a holistic overview and identify research gaps manually. Therefore, we have developed a framework that supports the traditional approach of conducting a literature review using machine learning and text mining methods. The framework is particularly suitable in cases where a large amount of literature is available, and a holistic understanding of the research area is needed. The framework consists of several steps in which the critical mind of the scientist is supported by machine learning. The unstructured text data is transformed into a structured form through data preparation realized with text mining, making it applicable for various machine learning techniques. A concrete example in the field of smart cities makes the framework tangible. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

LITERATURE reviews ,SELF-efficacy ,COMMUNITY involvement ,LIGHT pollution ,SCIENCE databases ,WEB databases ,COMMUNITY development - Abstract
Astrotourism consists of activities focused on observing night skies and celestial phenomena in natural spaces, which contributes to communities' involvement, empowerment and participation and to regional development. In addition to documenting the increased academic research on astrotourism, this literature review sought to construct a general theoretical framework for this field by analysing scholars' contributions and highlighting the ways in which this topic has been viewed over time. The analyses were based on the academic publications on astrotourism indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases up to 2019. A total of 61 documents were subjected to a selection process and eligibility analysis until the sample was reduced to a final set of 42 articles. Qualitative methods were applied to cluster the articles into three themes and analyse each document. This study appears to be the first literature review focused on astrotourism. The results highlight the most researched themes over the years, investigations' characteristics and gaps in the literature that open doors for future empirical research. The main issues already addressed by the academic community are related to the problems of light pollution, sustainability and regional development, among others, but much room remains for other studies. This research paper focuses on analysis of keywords related to innovation as a tool which increases competitiveness in the global market and then looks into their evolution and changes in decades from approximately 1988 to the present. This split of decades enables us to follow evolution of connected keywords in time and at the same time to work with the limited number of clusters. We did not find any similar publication while going through the literature concerning the keywords analysis and their development. Hence, this is an original and interesting article that explains the work with keywords of the selected topic. We looked into articles only from the Web of Science database. We studied all articles related to innovation management. Our methodology used analysis to examine individual articles, synthesis to link context, statistical procedures to select keywords using the functions available in Excel program, and VOS viewer to graphically display the results of the analyzed keywords. At the same time, this kind of division has allowed us to monitor changes before and after the global financial crisis. The changes were influenced mostly by global trends and general publication growth in the world. The only term most commonly associated with earnings management in all periods is accruals. By demonstrating the formation of the terms used, we have managed to meet the stated goal. In the future, it would be interesting to follow developments in the coming years of the decade as well as to see a change in the use of innovation management in dependence on global events. Digital Twin-based (DT) decisions are becoming increasingly popular in several areas, and the energy industry has been exploring the advantages of this approach. By creating synchronised virtual models that mirror the physical systems' behaviour, decision-makers can make more efficient and quicker decisions. In this case, this work aims to evaluate relevant papers in this area considering their objectives, application fields, adopted techniques and tools, as well as to discuss the advantages and challenges of this approach. Though a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), the main scientific databases were explored, and relevant articles were selected for analysis based on search criteria. Some crucial findings were highlighted, including the state of the art of the theme and important discussions considering energy generation, storage, transmission, and consumption subsystems. The main methods and tools adopted by the analysed literature were also evaluated and the objectives, advantages, and limitations stood out. The results of this SLR provide valuable insights for researchers and practitioners in the field and can be used to identify gaps in the current literature and provide directions for future research. It is important to mention that this work fills a gap in the literature considering the need for theoretical studies that provide a theoretical and conceptual basis for researchers and professionals in the field of Energy DTs. • This paper reviews the state-of-the-art of EDTs. • DTs in energy generation, distribution, storage, and consumption were discussed. • This paper presents insights about techniques, advantages, and challenges of EDTs. LITERATURE reviews ,CULTURAL property ,SCIENCE databases ,WESTERN countries ,KEYWORD searching - Abstract
Managing cultural heritage is difficult, even when presented with many opportunities. The management of underwater cultural heritage (UCH) expands these challenges, as issues such as mapping, monitoring, access, presentation, and ownership can become more complex. This article reviews the existing literature on theoretical research and various case studies in order to establish common themes on the management of UCH. Initially, a keyword search was carried out in two of the most extensive scientific databases. Publications were reviewed according to several criteria. Various data have been obtained, such as the change in the number of publications over the years, which journals are more interested in the subject, which topics are at the forefront, which places are preferred for case studies, and who are more likely to conduct research. The results show that the studies on the management of UCH mainly focus on evaluating the current management examples and their issues, policy development, legislation, and documentation of the sites. The cultural heritage in the case studies varies from archaeological and architectural remains to shipwrecks and, sometimes, movable objects, despite the emphasis on in-situ built heritage in the search criteria. Meanwhile, the researchers are primarily from universities in Western countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom. Additionally, many publications evaluate national policies and emphasize the importance of public participation, interpretation, and access. While still not much compared to land heritage, the number of studies has increased over the years. As the results of the review are discussed, suggestions are offered for possible future publications. • This is a literature review on the management of underwater cultural heritage. • The study presents the common trends, needs and contemporary approaches. • Methodology involves advanced searching of keywords to gather relevant publications. • Publications mainly focus on policy development, documentation, and evaluation of existing practices. • Case studies in these papers show diversity and the researchers are primarily from universities in Western countries.
