Este artículo se plantea el estudio del modo en que los madrileños perciben las ocho variedades cultas del español estudiadas en el Proyecto para el estudio de las creencias y actitudes hacia las variedades del español en el siglo XXI (PRECAVES XXI). El trabajo se estructura en torno a tres preguntas de investigación: 1) ¿los hablantes madrileños identifican o reconocen diferentes variedades cultas del español?, ¿en qué grado lo hacen?, 2) ¿cuál es la percepción que tienen los hablantes madrileños de proximidad o lejanía de las variedades cultas del español con respecto a la propia, la castellana?, y 3) ¿existe alguna variedad del español que pueda considerarse mejor o más prestigiosa para los madrileños? En la respuesta a estas cuestiones se aportan datos sobre la percepción que tienen los madrileños de la variación geolectal del español en el siglo XXI, que llevan a concluir que, aunque las diferencias percibidas entre las variedades cultas no son muy grandes —es decir, opera el modelo pluricéntrico del español—, sigue consolidada la idea de un español más prestigioso, que los madrileños asocian al de propia variedad, la variedad castellana., This article intends to study how Madrid‐born speakers perceive the eight educated varieties of Spanish studied in the Project for the Study of Beliefs and Attitudes towards the Varieties of Spanish in the 21st Century (PRECAVES XXI). The project is structured around three research questions: 1) Do speakers from Madrid identify or recognize different cultured varieties of Spanish? If so, to what degree? 2) What perception do speakers from Madrid have of the proximity or remoteness of the cultured varieties of Spanish with respect to their own variety, Castilian Spanish? 3) Is there any variety of Spanish that can be considered better or more prestigious for Madrid‐born speakers? The answers to these questions provide data on the perception that speakers from Madrid have of the geolectal variation of Spanish in the 21st century, which lead to the conclusion that, although the perceived differences between the cultured varieties are not significant —that is, the pluricentric model of Spanish is taking place—, the idea of a more prestigious Spanish continues to be consolidated, which Madrid‐born speakers associate with their own variety, the Castilian variety.

Como parte del Proyecto de Investigación INMIGRAComunidad de Madrid, “Patrones sociolingüísticos y procesos de integración sociolingüística en Madrid”, se recogió un corpus sociolingüístico de doce inmigrantes colombianos residentes en la ciudad de Madrid, a quienes se realizaron entrevistas semidirigidas correspondientes a un estilo de habla semiformal. La entrevista se completó con un cuestionario cerrado de preguntas orientadas a medir su integración social y lingüística en la comunidad de acogida. El cuestionario incluye una sección para valorar las actitudes del colectivo de colombianos ante la variedad de habla madrileña y contrastarla con la propia. A partir de estos datos, se lleva a cabo un análisis para obtener una valoración preliminar y aproximativa sobre las pautas de integración social y las actitudes lingüísticas de los colombianos en Madrid. Los resultados se pondrán en contraste con los de otros colectivos migrantes que también se están estudiando en el proyecto INMIGRA-CM., As part of the INMIGRA-Comunidad de Madrid Research Project, “Sociolinguistic patterns and processes of sociolinguistic integration in Madrid”, a sociolinguistic corpus was created comprising twelve Colombian immigrants living in Madrid who were subjected to a semi-directed interview conducted in a semi-formal style of speech. The interview was complemented with a closed questionnaire of questions devised to measure their social and linguistic integration in the host community. The questionnaire included a section for assessing the attitudes of Colombians towards the Madrilenian speech variety and to contrast it with their own. These data were analysed to obtain a preliminary appraisal of the patterns of social integration and the linguistic attitudes of Colombians in Madrid. The results will be compared with those for the other migrant communities that are being studied by the INMIGRA-CM Project.

El crecimiento imparable de la migración en el mundo actual, especialmente la de carácter internacional, hace obligado atender a las consecuencias de esos movimientos de población y, en particular, conocer cómo se produce el complejo proceso de integración entre los grupos sociales que entran en contacto. La lengua o las variedades lingüísticas de esos grupos son uno de los elementos claves en este sentido, por lo que la sociolingüística de la migración se ha centrado especialmente en entender qué papel desempeña lo lingüístico y lo comunicativo, en aras de poder favorecer ese proceso. Este artículo persigue tres objetivos: 1) describir las bases teóricas que fundamentan el análisis de las situaciones de contacto lingüístico producido por la migración; 2) analizar las dimensiones que han de abordarse en el estudio de la integración sociolingüística; y 3) presentar instrumentos que posibiliten el análisis global de estas dimensiones; en concreto, se ofrecen los recursos empleados en el proyecto de investigación IN.MIGRA-CM: la entrevista sociolingüística basada en relatos de vida y los cuestionarios bidireccionales de actitudes hacia la inmigración y las variedades lingüísticas., The unstoppable growth in migration in today’s world, especially international migration, means we must confront the consequences of these population movements and, in particular, understand the complex process of integration that takes place between social groups that come into contact. These groups’ languages or linguistic varieties are a key element in this regard, and therefore the sociolinguistics of migration has particularly focused on understanding the role played by linguistic and communicative aspects, in the interest of facilitating this process. This article has three objectives: 1) describe the theoretical foundations behind the analysis of situations of language contact caused by migration; 2) analyze the aspects that must be considered when studying sociolinguistic integration; and 3) present instruments that facilitate the comprehensive analysis of these aspects; specifically, the resources employed in the INMIGRA-CM research project are offered: sociolinguistic interviews based on life experiences and bidirectional questionnaires on attitudes toward immigration and linguistic varieties.

Este trabajo se realiza teniendo en cuenta tres objetivos principales: (1) comprobar qué opinan los espectadores sobre la forma de hablar de algunos personajes públicos andaluces, (2) analizar cómo hablan estos personajes y, finalmente, (3) realizar un estudio contrastivo entre las percepciones de los usuarios y los rasgos lingüísticos de los personajes. Para ello, hemos elaborado dos corpus distintos sobre 4 presentadores de origen andaluz y con presencia televisiva nacional y regional: Eva González, Paz Padilla, Manu Sánchez y Roberto Leal. En el primero se han recopilado más de 500 comentarios en los que los usuarios de la red social Twitter expresan su opinión sobre la forma de hablar de estos personajes. Posteriormente, se ha elaborado otro corpus compuesto por sus intervenciones en televisión atendiendo no solo a factores lingüísticos sino también extralingüísticos como el lugar de intervención o el rol del presentador., We present this paper with 3 principal objectives: (1) to probe the opinion of the spectators about the speaking of some Andalusian public characters, (2) to analyze how these characters speak and, finally, (3) to realize a contrastive study between the linguistic perceptions of the users and the linguistic patterns of television characters. For this, we are elaborated two different corpora on presenters of Andalusian origin and with national and regional television presence: Eva González, Paz Padilla, Manu Sánchez y Roberto Leal. In the first one, more of than 500 comments have been collected in which the users of the social network Twitter express their opinion about the speaking of these characters. Subsequently, another corpus has been elaborated consisting of their television interventions taking into linguistic and extralinguistic factors such as the place of intervention or the role of the presenter.

The paper aims at presenting the linguistic attitudes and the underlying ideologies of the students of the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania towards their mother tongue and the Romanian language. It provides a brief summary of the most important theoretical aspects entailed (definitions and an overview of the Hungarian sociolinguistic research on linguistic attitudes and ideologies) with special regard to István Lanstyák’s classification of linguistic ideologies. The paper continues with the presentation of the University, of the population and the sample used in the research, and the distribution of the respondents by faculty, sex, age, place of origin, nationality and mother tongue. In the following chapter, the perceived Romanian competence and the attitudes of the students towards the Romanian language is discussed. The last part of the paper gives a qualitative analysis of the responses to the question Where do you think is the most beautiful Hungarian spoken?, focusing on the issues of linguistic attitudes of the students and the ideologies behind them regarding their opinions on the most beautiful variety of the Hungarian language.
