This work deals the comprehensive computational investigations on various lightweight materials under lower thermal load (1 Kelvin) by using advanced coupled engineering approach. The proposed primary application of this work is various aerospace domains such as low thermal surveillance based unmanned aerial vehicles and its components. Since this work focuses base work, the ASTM C1470-20 based computational models are developed. The advanced composite platform (ANSYS ACP 17.2) is imposed in this work and so the pure computational composites are prepared. Additionally, lower thermal analysis is carried out on the developed model through ANSYS Fluent 17.2. The predicted thermal aerodynamic loads are imposed on the prepared computational composites. The structural result shows that CFRP-Woven-Wet is good to withstand perfectly at lower thermal environments based real-time applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The main focus of this work is high thermal loading parts of aircraft and the aim is to choose relevant lightweight material for the aircraft under acting higher thermal loads. For this focused study, the lightweight alloys and polymer matrix composites (PMC) are major platforms. Fibres are the major load-bearing elements in PMCs so best fibers (carbon and glass fibers) are picked for this comprehensive computational investigation. The computational model of this work is taken from the dimensions of shield plate located between engine and pilot in propeller driven low altitude aircraft. Since the working high thermal condition is tough, an advanced Fluid-Thermal Interaction (FTI) based computations are carried out. In FTI, the CFD simulations are completed in ANSYS Fluent 17.2 with 1000 Kelvin input and thermal expansions are carried ANSYS thermal tool 17.2. Totally, eight different advanced lightweight materials are imposed in these comprehensive investigations and thereby found out CFRP-Woven-Wet as best material. The thermal stress and thermal expansions are comparatively developed in less in CFRP-Woven-Wet so this is gppd material for higer thermal withstand. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
