The article provides an abstract review of patents. The results of creative activity of scientists, engineers and specialists, including inventions in the field of nanotechnology and nanomaterials, being implemented, allow achieving a significant effect in construction, housing and community services, and related sectors of the economy. For example, the invention «A method to produce graphene-containing suspensions by means of graphite exfoliation and a device to perform it» refers to chemical and construction industries and can be used in modification of plastic lubricant, epoxy resins and concretes. The technical task of the invention is to increase efficiency of graphite exfoliation, to produce graphene-containing suspensions in continuous mode and to decrease unit labor costs for production of such suspensions. The task is achieved due to the following steps of the method: preparation of mixture of crystal graphite and liquid, graphite concentration is from 10 to 20 mass percent in container for initial suspension, supply of initial suspension into rotor plant, exfoliation of graphite and withdrawal of treated suspension from rotor plant, exfoliation of graphite is performed in several rotor plants one after another, and initial suspension is supplied into the first rotor plant by pump with fixed consumption, after treated suspension has been withdrawn from one of rotor plant, it is supplied into next rotor plant, and from the last rotor plant treated suspension is delivered into centrifugal separator, after separation centrifuge effluent is supplied into container of finish product and precipitate is delivered to a container of initial suspension in which graphite and liquid are added to obtain specified concentration of graphite in initial suspension. For example, the invention “Heat-insulating material based on air gel” can be used to obtain heat-insulating materials for a wide range of applications. The required technical result, which consists in improving the thermal insulation properties of the material in a wide temperature range, increasing the absorbing properties of electromagnetic radiation in the IR spectrum, increasing the mechanical strength and flexibility, as well as reducing crumbling, is achieved in an air gel-based material containing a fibrous substrate with a density of 0.001–0.1 g/cm3, consisting of silica and/or glass and/or basalt fibers with a diameter of 0.1–5 microns, which is impregnated with an air gel obtained on the basis of silicon dioxide from alkoxysilane with the introduction of a gelling agent and followed by supercritical drying. The introduction of nanomaterials gives an additional reinforcing effect, which increases the mechanical strength of the final material and significantly reduces the crumbling of the air gel. The final material can be provided with an additional layer of fibrous substrate to increase its vibration resistance. This is especially true when using the proposed material for civil and industrial construction in seismically active zones, as well as in aircraft and rocketry. This method is based on component mixing. Resin and fospoliol are taken in dissolvent that is a mix of ethyl alcohol and dimethylformamide. The suspension of metal nanoparticles is consistently applied on the surface of controlled object following direction from the bigger diameter to the smaller one. The nanoparticles possess the photoluminescence property and their shape is spheric with different diameters. After each application the surface is dried and excessive particles are removed. Then rowwise scanning of object surface is executed with the ray of femtosecond laser and at the same time the intensity of the two-photon luminescence signal is registered in every studied area fixing the location of this area and obtaining the map of glow intensity distribution of nanoparticles exited by the laser radiation. The maps shows the zones with the maximal glow intensity, the coor dinates and shape of the determined glow zone make it possible to determine the coordinates and shape of the defect and the size of its intersection is considered to be equal to relative diameter of the applied nanoparticles at this application stage. To popularize scientific achievements the main results of Russian and foreign scientists’ research are published in the form of abstract. The authors of the research «Fine-grained basalt fiber concrete with nanosilica» showed that joint introduction of silica and basalt fiber additives into fiber concrete enhances freeze resistance of the concrete from F150 to F200-250. The concretes with nanosilica are characterized by high performance properties that proves the creation of dense material structure when nanosilica is introduced and hardening effect of it. This method includes the contact between polluted water and adsorbent. Carbon nanotubes used as adsorbent are placed into ultrasound bath and then carbon nanotubes with purified water are treated for 1–15 min with frequency 42 kHz and power 50 Watt. The technical result is the 100% purification of the water from titanium and its compounds due to high adsorption parameters of carbon nanotubes. The source of metal ion implantation is installed at the frame of vacuum chamber and is connected with control block. On the lid of vacuum chamber there is a device round the upper end of the tube with the detail. The device is for surface plastic deformation of the applied coating to obtain nanostructured shape memory layer. For example, the invention «Construction structural element» refers to the field of construction. The building element is made of a cured mixture containing the following components, wt. %: dispersed foamglass – 60–85; 25–30% alumina solution in phosphoric acid – 13–34; basalt microfiber – 2–6; fulleroid type carbon toroid-like nanoparticles (fractions from 15 to 150 nm) – 0.009–0005. The dispersed foamglass is made in the form of foamed glass beads, on the surface of which a layer of polyparaxilylene 2–5 microns thick is applied. The mixture is cured at a temperature of 160–180о C. The technical result is increased strength, toughness, crack resistance and durability at low density, that is important when building objects, for example, to create internal walls and cellular partitions in rooms. To popularize nanoindustrial subjects in construction, to increase consumers’ confidence to nanotechnological products, the main results of Russian scientists’ research are publised as the abstracts. Within the frame «Production of modified fibrous concrete mixture, aimed at improving physical and mechanical properties through the components hardening the structure of fibrous concrete at micro- and nanolevels» it was experimentally proved that complex modifying additive containing carbon nanomodifier «Taunit» can be applied in production of steel fiber concrete and solution; compositions of steel fiber concrete with complex modifying additives and compositions of lightweight heat-resistant steel fiber concrete have been developed. Two Russian patents (№ 2361847, 2386599) for inventions have been obtained. Practical recommendations concerning application of fibrous concrete mixture with reinforcer made of fiber «Miksarm» and nanoadditives have been developed; technology for production of steel fiber concrete with the use of complex modifying additives has been offered. Within the frame «Development and optimization of façade plaster compositions with increased durability based on simple and complex binders with fine natural and artificial fillers and research of their structure» it was proved that there is potential and practicability to apply nanotechnological fillers of local origins in façade plasters affecting positively on the structure and properties of the composition; compositions of façade plasters based on simple and complex binders modified with nanotechnological mineral fillers with high properties which provide required resistance when operated (bond resistance, compressive strength, cold resistance) have been developed. As a result of systematic façade plaster optimization the share of construction market products has been minimized – binder savings are from 5 to 15%, in some compositions natural filler was completely replaced with nanotechnological product, that lead to considerable benefits.

Publications play a significant role by supporting the creation and applica­tion of nanotechnological products through information. Therefore the Russian Engineering Academy decided to establish the Internet-journal «Nanotechnol­ogies in Construction» in 2009. According to the opinion of many specialists and experts, the concept to publish such journal proved to be very beneficial. The specialized information has strongly influenced the work of scientists in the area of construction nanotechnologies. At the authors’ and readers’ request, the editors launched a new section aimed at publishing the main results of Ph.D. and Doctorate theses, to popularize the subject of the nanoindustry in construc­tion and to increase the consumers’ trust in the domestic goods produced by the nanoindustry. The published material is a good theoretical basis for post gradu­ate students and persons working for a doctorate. This issue deals with the main results of Ph.D. thesis «Thermo-insulating non-autoclave foamed concrete with nanodispersed modifiers» by A.B. Bukhalo and Ph.D. thesis «Highly filled poly­vinyl chloride construction materials based on nanomodified wood flour» by A.I. Burnashev.
