A 5.5 inches narrow bezel FFS-mode De-mux LCD was developed with the ESL type a-IGZO TFTs. Those displays have de-mux functions can narrow the bezel and reduce the number of ICs on the display. The Ion/Ioff of the ESL type TFTs are more than 109.

A 4.9 inches narrow bezel FFS-mode WQHD (2560 x 1440) LCD was developed with the modified ESL type a-IGZO TFTs. Those displays are manufactured by the Generation 4 original equipment of a-Si TFTs. The Ion/Ioff of the modified ESL type TFTs are 108.

Abstract

In this paper, a-IGZO TFT fabricated with sputtered process and annealed with low temperature is investigated. For all the prcoess, the maximum process temperature is as low as 300°C In addition, a 3.8 inch WVGA AM-LCD driven by a-IGZO TFTs is successfully demonstrated.
